"A demon imprisoned for ten thousand years? Is his name Illidan by any chance? And does he leave flames behind when he walks?" Fang Senyan muttered to himself, but seeing Mr. Infinite's crazed eyes, he didn't dare speak the thought aloud. (Novel Site)

By the end, Infinite was waving his hands frantically, his voice growing hysterical. Finally, he simply pitched forward and collapsed, unconscious. Fang Senyan was greatly alarmed and looked around—he certainly wasn't going to perform artificial respiration—but thankfully, he quickly found the yellowed, wrinkled disposable paper cup, poured the cool water inside onto Mr. Infinite's forehead, and the goblin soon awoke. The first thing the creature did was greedily lick the water running down his forehead, claiming not to waste a drop, then sighed and said with lingering terror:

"Given that Gringotts has always been quite peaceful, we began experimenting with converting it into a bank to generate some extra income several thousand years ago, and we achieved lasting success. All the goblins believed that demon had died in the deepest recesses, and the legend gradually faded. However, in recent months, I've often woken up in the night, constantly haunted by an indescribable, terrifying laugh."

At this point, Infinite began to tremble again:

"That sound... I absolutely refuse to recall it! That demon must be dead; his soul must have attached itself to this key, it has to be!"

After speaking, Infinite gritted his teeth, grabbed a paper cutter from nearby, extended his left hand—revealing skin that was green and shriveled, with long, sharp nails—closed his eyes, and brought the blade down onto the joint of his finger! Blood sprayed everywhere as the severed digit flew outward, hitting the floor with the sound of clashing metal.

Infinite let out an excruciating scream. The wound on his finger wasn't large, but the blood jetted out as if an aorta had been sliced, forming a straight arrow of crimson that splashed against the adjacent wall. Seeing the amount of bleeding, Fang Senyan seriously doubted the creature wouldn't simply bleed to death from the loss—and if that happened, he certainly wouldn't be blameless. At that moment, several goblin guards rushed in from outside but were waved away by the pale and pained Infinite.

The blood jetted for about thirty seconds before suddenly stopping, almost as if an invisible faucet had controlled the flow. Infinite stared at the severed finger on the ground, let out a long breath, his face ashen:

"Damn it, I am finally free."

Then he said to Fang Senyan:

"I know it must be taken far, far away. Take this cursed key, take it back to your homeland and bury it. By the gold above, may that demon and its story be forever entombed in the depths of Gringotts!"

"Key? You call this a key?"

Fang Senyan expressed his surprise.

Infinite nodded contentedly:

"Indeed. All the critical mechanisms and secret doors in Gringotts can only be opened by the corresponding goblin finger! Only the great Goblin race could devise such a genius invention! If some fool tries to forge a key for that lock, he will receive a most excellent surprise!"

Fang Senyan tentatively bent down to pick up Infinite's severed finger. With a casual flick, he found it incredibly heavy; he struggled slightly! His current Strength was 13 points, nearly the sum of three adult men. The weight of this severed digit was significant. The Nightmare Mark also sent a notification:

"Item acquired: Key to Gringotts' Deepest Cell, Grade: ???, Use: ???. Current Nightmare Mark permissions are far below the required level; no further information can be obtained."

"Bloody hell," Fang Senyan cursed inwardly, feeling it was a massive loss. The Nightmare Space valued the immediate conversion of combat power. He had traded several thousand Universal Points for this item, which offered no immediate upgrade. Even if it were a world-ending superweapon, what good was that? Unless... Thinking of this, Fang Senyan’s eyes flickered. He pocketed the item and stepped out of Gringotts' entrance.

Over the next day, Fang Senyan rushed back and forth ceaselessly, spending Universal Points like flowing water until only 200 remained. Eventually, even his last two Potential Points were expended, and he had to give away two cheaply bought Chocolate Frogs. However, the benefits were obvious: the Milestone "Altruist" was completed, not only through the Gringotts Manager step but also through the ultimate quest at the Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment shop.

This quest was a classic example of being deceptively simple yet exceptionally difficult. Although it was merely a matter of delivering a letter, the delivery route was first to Hunga Island in the far north of Iceland, then to Jekket Peak in Norway, and finally retrieving the confirmation receipt from Alaska! The delivery locations for this letter were certainly not in cities but in desolate, icy wastelands. Furthermore, the address in Alaska was located atop Mount McKinley, North America's highest peak; in poor weather, it could take a month just to locate it. Thus, following the normal procedure, the time delay would be considerable.

While there were shortcuts, they involved using magic for delivery. For such vast distances, Floo Powder (which was comparable to a subway among magical transport) was useless. Only two spells could work: Apparition and Key-Turning. Both required a relatively powerful wizard. But to hire their assistance... well, that required reputation.

This was why, among the seven fundamental attributes of a Contractor, Charm, though seemingly having the least direct impact on combat, actually provided the greatest auxiliary effect! Fang Senyan now deeply understood this; his considerable Charm had generated too many "surprises." If not for the ability to leverage the team's strength this time, he would have had to abandon the "Altruist" Milestone! But the Symbiosis Society... Fang Senyan’s lips curled into a contemptuous smile. Only Metal Mentor and Nu possessed any real ability; how could they possibly keep hold of him?

Now, only two ultimate quests remained before Fang Senyan:

The ultimate quest for the proprietor of the magical sporting goods shop: Steal the blueprints for the new broom, the Firebolt.

And the ultimate quest for Borgin, the owner of Borgin and Burkes: Obtain Unicorn Blood.

These two tasks required him to complete them alone, as both were extremely dangerous, and no one was willing to assist.

Fang Senyan calculated the time; his stay in this world was limited. The former quest was completely unfamiliar, while the latter offered a possible shortcut, though it remained highly dangerous. As he was mentally planning, "Phil," who worked at the pet shop, found him, made a gesture, and hurried over:

"Metal Mentor has sent a message. Emergency assembly in half an hour! At the usual spot."

Fang Senyan's mind stirred:

"Why didn't I receive the message?"

Phil replied:

"Team communications must be activated after returning to the Nightmare Space, by Metal Mentor. Only his Nightmare Mark level has the authority to open that mode."

Fang Senyan nodded. Although he was a new member of the team, his status was undoubtedly higher than Phil's as a Strength-based Melee Contractor. But Fang Senyan did not slight Phil because of this; on the contrary, before Glee and Phil, he had held a higher expectation for Phil's future growth.

Anyone capable of entering the Nightmare Space was undoubtedly a talented individual. Phil was no fool; the fact that he dared to choose to work in a pet shop meant that the income gained there was definitely no less than that from mainline quests. This implied he either possessed high Charm or had encountered a rare chance event. Such a person, skilled in forbearance, often achieved tremendous success once opportunity arose, transforming "like a dragon soaring in the wind."

Half an hour later, Fang Senyan arrived at the Symbiosis Society's gathering place. Everyone was present except Metal Mentor and Nu. Fang Senyan stood quietly behind Glee, keeping a very low profile. Glee, now the newly appointed leader of the Melee Group, occupied the position he had long coveted, his eyes shining with excitement. He was quite pleased with Fang Senyan's quiet demeanor and kept drawing him into conversation, introducing him to the unfamiliar faces around the room.

Finley, the man with gold-rimmed glasses, wore a faint smile, appearing perpetually elegant and composed. He seemed to be the manager of the Intelligence class, which had the largest contingent of Ranged Physical Attack Contractors. The leader was a middle-aged Black man named Morgansa, who had thick lips and a shaved head, resembling Morpheus from The Matrix. He held a rather imposing golden-barreled gun, even the stock seemingly made of gold—not Grade Gold—and was smoking a cigar, leaning against the window with an air of detached coolness, as if he had seen through life and death.

The group waited for about five or six minutes, long past the agreed time. Glee muttered casually:

"Why isn't the Boss here yet? He’s usually very punctual?"

Hearing this, Fang Senyan's pupils suddenly contracted. Punctuality was a necessary trait for a qualified superior; otherwise, the subordinates would follow suit, lacking popular support, and efficiency would inevitably collapse. Furthermore, in the Nightmare Space, it was constantly a matter of life and death! If someone who couldn't be on time was involved, they might not have survived this long!

Therefore, the reason behind Metal Mentor's tardiness must hide something far from good!

Glee's comment was overheard by most people. Clearly, Fang Senyan wasn't the only one to notice this. Many minds immediately turned sharp, and they simultaneously looked toward Morgansa, as his perception was obviously the highest. Morgansa frowned, stood up, walked to the window, and then slowly shook his head.
