The Elven Queen inquired with peculiar curiosity, "What is this 'Main God' Space? Could it be that you warriors hail from the realm of the 'Gods'?"
Zhong Ta scratched his head, pondering as he addressed the Elven Queen, "Uh, we will be returning to another space. We don't know if it is the realm of the 'Gods,' but no creature from this world, save for us, can enter. Once inside, they are instantly killed and vanish. While living beings cannot enter, artifacts or items can be brought back for re-examination. Therefore, we can absolutely bring the One Ring into that space to slay Sauron, who is currently bonded to the Ring, without harming the Ring itself. This way, the Ring would be devoid of Sauron’s malice, thus protecting the Three Elven Rings from implication or harm, allowing them to retain their power!"
The Elven Queen listened, momentarily stunned. After a long pause, she spoke, "I don't fully grasp what you mean, but you intend to take the Ring away? This might be too much to ask..."
Zhong Ta was about to speak when Chu Xuan interjected before him, "There is no need to hand over the Ring to us; this is merely one of our conjectures. So, we shall continue our advance toward Mount Doom in Mordor. If we cannot enter the volcano then, we will try bringing the Ring back to the 'Main God' Space. It would be best if the Elves could remain, but if they cannot, our transaction will likely only last one or two times, which is hardly a good outcome, is it?"
The Elven Queen sighed without speaking, but it was clear she had taken his words to heart.
Aside from the matter of the trade, if Zhong Ta and his companions could truly spare the Elves the need for a mass migration, it would naturally be for the best. Even if they couldn't, destroying the Ring at the Cracks of Doom would be a contribution of indescribable magnitude to Middle-earth. Thus, she thanked the two of them repeatedly before finally taking her leave.
After the Elven Queen departed, Zhong Ta hastily turned to Chu Xuan, asking, "How confident are you in your theory—slaying Sauron through the Ring and having the Ring remain intact?"
"About a sixty percent chance, but zero percent chance of us actually acquiring the Ring ourselves."
Chu Xuan shook his head. "The One Ring is a plot item, and likely one of immense power. The others from the four remaining squads will certainly understand this. While the other squads are one thing, the members of the Celestial Team will undoubtedly be intent on obtaining the Ring. Remember, the mission back in the 'Main God' Space requires all five squads to remain in Mordor together for half an hour. Many things can happen in that half hour."
"In that half hour, we will inevitably clash with the Celestial Team and the Eastern America Team. In short, the Ring will be a vital tool for safely returning to the 'Main God' Space. I might very well abandon the Ring to ensure the team's survival—I'm telling you this in advance. Of course, if the strength of the other two teams proves too weak, the Ring will become the lure to eliminate them. Therefore, our own probability of obtaining the Ring is less than one percent."
"Is that so?" Zhong Ta sighed, patting Chu Xuan's shoulder. "It's great like this; just inform me beforehand if you have any plans. Big Brother, I’m not disagreeing; I just want to know the rough outline of your strategy. Does that pose a difficulty for you? Ha-ha, regardless, reaching a trade agreement with the Elven Queen is already a rare achievement. Hahaha, keep it up! Once we complete the Ring World, we'll have inexhaustible Mithril and Energy Stones. Perhaps we can even exchange them for time to return and learn magic from Gandalf and the others, hahahaha..."
"Even if I told you, you wouldn't understand," Chu Xuan murmured quietly. "The wisdom of mortals..." As he spoke, Zhong Ta had already walked into his own room.
The next morning, Gimli was the first to wake the members of the Reincarnation Squad. According to him, the Elven Queen was waiting for them at the docks to present a unique gift from the Elves to all the warriors of the Fellowship. After saying this, he darted away at incredible speed, leaving the Reincarnation Squad members brimming with curiosity.
Ten minutes later, the dozen or so men and women had fully washed up and were running toward the docks. When they arrived, the other supporting characters were already standing there, each draped in a cloak sized for their frame.
Once the Reincarnation Squad members took their positions, more than a dozen Elves approached them. The Elven Queen's consort personally helped them don these Elven cloaks. It was said these cloaks could mask magical scanning and could perfectly mimic the colors of the surrounding environment—a legendary magical item, and judging by its effectiveness, it would require an exchange value of at least a C-grade main plotline or higher.
That wasn't all; each person also received a short sword. This was a legendary magical weapon forged with both Mithril and Aeglos metal. It could be bound to the owner simply by dripping blood onto the blade and could amplify the user's strength during combat. Judging by its offensive capability, it was easily a weapon of D-double or C-grade.
Only when the Elven Queen reached Zhong Ta did she speak, "Legolas mentioned you already possess a very formidable weapon, so I will not give you this short sword. Instead, take this Lembas, a fragment of the World Tree preserved by us Elves. The World Tree that birthed all things has withered, but these leaves still retain astonishing vitality. Take it. When you feel you must fight with your life force expended, fold it, place it in your mouth, and its vitality will substitute your own. When it completely dissolves, your life will be perfectly safeguarded... For your courage in battle and your promise to change the fate of our Elven people, warrior."
With that, she walked to Zhong Ta's side and kissed his cheek—a treatment no one else received.
When the Elven Queen approached Chu Xuan, she immediately laughed. "I truly don't know what to give you. A person devoid of emotion probably wouldn't care much for an Elven gift... Then, I shall bestow upon you a blessing of peace."
With that, she recited a blessing in Elvish.
(…This woman clearly still holds a grudge over Chu Xuan shattering her diadem yesterday… Women truly are creatures that remember slights, ha.) Zhong Ta thought to himself, as Chu Xuan was the only one among them to receive nothing, which seemed highly unusual. Chu Xuan, however, remained composed, silently accepting the food provided by the Elves—a wafer-like provision called Lembas. It was said that merely a small bite was enough to satiate an adult. He seemed intensely interested in this super-compressed food.
Just as Zhong Ta felt sorry for Chu Xuan, Prince Legolas approached him. "Rest assured, Chu Xuan received one of the most precious gifts among us. It is Her Majesty's blessing, a word of blessing imbued with magic. Although we do not know its precise function, this magical benediction will undoubtedly follow him until it takes effect. Her Majesty will be weakened for several days as a result, making Chu Xuan truly the luckiest among us."
Zhong Ta felt his balance restored. He quickly offered profuse thanks to the Elven Queen. The female Elf merely smiled faintly, turned, and departed with another male Elf.
The group wasted no more time, loading the weapons and food onto the boats. They separated into three per boat, with only Aragorn taking one boat with the three Hobbits. They then began paddling ceaselessly down the river channel beneath the great trees, and with their departure from this place, the journey of the Ring began anew.
"We will travel by boat from here, moving forward without stopping until we reach the Falls of Rauros. This journey ahead will be perilous. We have intelligence from the Elves that Saruman has dispatched his armies to attack us from both banks. Besides the Orc armies sent from Mordor, there are also his Uruk-hai… These are different from Orcs—fierce and terrifying creatures. They do not fear sunlight like Orcs; they can fight effectively under the sun or in harsh environments. And currently, one such contingent is pursuing us."
Aragorn called out loudly to Zhong Ta and the others who were not far behind while paddling.
Most of Zhong Ta's group were still closely examining their cloaks and weapons. Both items were indeed legendary magical gear, quite valuable for phased exchanges in the 'Main God' Space; they had received them for free here, causing several veteran members to rejoice. Zhang Heng, in particular, received ten Elven Arrows of Celeborn. Although he already carried enchanted arrows, these ten arrows instantly surpassed the power of his existing enchanted ammunition. The power of the Celeborn arrows might not surpass the sheer force of the enchanted arrows, but they could store mental energy within them. Upon subsequent firing, they could be minutely adjusted according to the mental impulse of the inputter. Zhang Heng's Three-Arrow Burst was already mastered, though its accuracy was lacking. Now, when using these new arrows and having Lan fine-tune the accuracy for him, his Three-Arrow Burst could instantly become one of his signature skills, not just the Wind Arrow technique.
The others also gained significant rewards, though they need not be detailed here for the moment. They continued downstream with the current, and their boat drifted farther and farther away from the Elven city. After rounding a bend in the waterway, the Elven city vanished from sight.
