The key to Hagrid's task of capturing a Quantity of Diricawls wasn't really about the birds themselves, but rather finding a specific tree they favored, and more importantly, driving away the threatening Grindylows first. (Novel Website) Most trees in the Forbidden Forest were withered and dead; only the presence of Grindylows seemed to impart any semblance of life or vitality to the wood. Therefore, the Diricawls would inevitably choose to perch on trees inhabited by Grindylows. So, as long as the tree was located, catching the birds wouldn't be an issue.

When Fang Senyan returned with this clutch of birds, Hagrid was naturally full of praise. Since the task required capturing only one, and Fang Senyan had managed to secure a whole nest, the improvement in his standing was entirely expected. It was barely noon at this point. Fang Senyan intended to seize the momentum and pick up a few more assignments, but just then, a magical chime signaled a visitor in Hagrid’s small hut. Fang Senyan naturally had to excuse himself and return to the camp.

Lunch was delivered by several House-Elves from Hogwarts. However, one couldn't expect the lavish spread students enjoyed; it was nothing more than hamburgers and sandwiches. Perhaps because Fang Senyan had already clashed with the Banks Gang and demonstrated his capability, the members of the Symbiote Society treated him with slightly more cordiality. While eating, Fang Senyan asked a member of the Society where he might find "Tǔbiē" (local insect/cockroach), but the person shook his head, claiming ignorance. Suddenly, a voice chimed in from nearby:

“Did you run into Grindylow trouble?”

Fang Senyan turned to look and saw Darth standing a short distance away, his outer coat draped over his shoulder, still possessing that indescribable coolness. A large sack dripped dark blood onto the ground from his right hand, and his left hand bore distinct lacerations. Both he and Fang Senyan were currently considered neutral parties, so Fang Senyan merely nodded:

“Yes. Hmm, Hagrid seems to have given you a rather bloody job.”

Darth stated flatly:

“Take a train a hundred kilometers into the mountains to collect the organs of three Brown Bears.”

Fang Senyan shrugged:

“Oh! That certainly sounds like a dangerous and disgusting assignment. By the way, I did encounter Grindylows; do you have any useful advice?”

Darth maintained his icy demeanor and got straight to the point:

“Problems related to Grindylows—100 Universal Points each. For 500 Universal Points, I can tell you everything related to them—that is, everything I know, of course. This transaction can be notarized via the Nightmare Imprint.”

Fang Senyan smiled. Darth’s second option seemed like a potential trap because the transaction was predicated on the massive condition that "Darth must know a wealth of information about Grindylows," otherwise the retail option of 100 points seemed more practical. After consideration, however, Fang Senyan chose to pay the 500 Universal Points. Darth then upheld the terms of the deal and disclosed everything he knew.

It turned out that the "Tǔbiē Chóng" (local insect) favored by the Grindylows was actually a transcription error. Hagrid, being a half-giant raised among giants in his youth, had used a giant colloquialism in the notes he gave Fang Senyan. The term "Tǔbiē Chóng" actually referred to a type of aquatic beetle that habitually burrowed in the underwater silt. Thus, Fang Senyan, who had been searching under rocks and in the undergrowth, naturally couldn't find it.

Secondly, Fang Senyan acquired a crucial piece of information: the detailed data for the Grindylow-related milestone, “The Good Samaritan.” Obtaining this milestone would automatically grant the title “Omnipotent,” a rare title with exceptionally good attributes: wearer gains +3 to all base stats!

Naturally, high value implied high risk. To complete the milestone “The Good Samaritan,” one had to fulfill the ultimate tasks issued by four specific establishments: the Eeylops Owl Emporium, Gringotts' manager, the magical sports equipment shop (the one that sold the Nimbus 2000), and Borgin and Burkes.

The first three shops were located in Diagon Alley within the London Wizarding Market, while the last shop was situated in Knockturn Alley, a gathering place for dark wizards and witches.

It was essential to note that the tasks leading to this milestone were preceded by the word “Ultimate,” meaning one had to first sequentially complete the commissions from the owners of these four shops, earning their complete trust, before qualifying for the ultimate quest. The owner of Borgin and Burkes was less troublesome in this regard, but the task he offered was a chain quest, arguably even more convoluted and tedious.

Finally, there was some good news. Completing the “Loving Soul” milestone granted the title: Grindylow’s Favor (Speed). Within a thirty-meter radius where trees existed, the bearer's health regeneration rate in combat would increase by an additional 25 points per minute. Moreover, the affix “(Speed)” indicated it possessed quick-swap capability, meaning this title could be equipped or unequipped instantly, even during combat. If Fang Senyan engaged in a war of attrition with an enemy and happened to be near trees, equipping this title would effectively grant an extra four minutes of combat duration, translating to an extra 100 points of healing—the implications of which were obvious.

However, completing the “Loving Soul” milestone precluded the completion of the “Cruel Man” milestone; one could only choose one. The “Cruel Man” milestone awarded no title upon completion but provided an additional benefit of +2 Renown Value.

So, in the afternoon, after unsuccessfully seeking out Hagrid several times, Fang Senyan headed directly to find a small stream to catch beetles. He then carried a large sack of beetles to the edge of the Forbidden Forest to locate and appease the Grindylows. It was then that Fang Senyan began to feel fortunate he hadn't pursued the “Cruel Man” milestone. This wasn't because the Grindylows were overly aggressive, but because they were exceptionally difficult to find.

These small creatures usually only emerged when humans approached the trees very closely; otherwise, they remained motionless, clinging silently to the bark. Fang Senyan couldn't possibly check every tree surrounding the Forbidden Forest. The only advantage was that trees hosting Grindylows tended to grow slightly more robustly, which fortunately reduced the bulk of Fang Senyan's searching efforts.

As night descended, Fang Senyan dared not linger near the Forbidden Forest due to the immense risks; any single dangerous creature found there was currently beyond his ability to handle. An entire afternoon's exertion had yielded only twenty-three Grindylows. Upon returning to camp, he discovered the Symbiote Society members sitting silently around the campfire, the atmosphere thick with a deathly stillness. Even the usually aloof and cold Darth was present.

“Sailor,” the leader of the Symbiote Society here, Crowbar, stood up solemnly towards Fang Senyan, “we have some extremely unfortunate news—unfortunate for you, for me, and for all of us.”

Fang Senyan was indeed momentarily shocked but quickly regained his composure, testing the waters:

“What is the Banks Gang up to?”

“Precisely,” Crowbar replied in a low voice. “Hagrid, that big oaf, will be absent from our sight for a minimum of forty-eight hours. If there are no surprises, the next time he appears to assign tasks will be on the morning of the final day of the five-day period. This means that even the member with the best current standing will need to improve Hagrid’s perception of them by over 500 points in that last day! This is an almost impossible task.”

“Why?” Darth interjected, sounding genuinely incredulous. “Hagrid’s actions are a dereliction of duty! Isn't he afraid of punishment from Hogwarts?”

Crowbar let out a cold laugh:

“Everyone has a weakness, and Hagrid is no exception. This simpleton is obsessed with raising all sorts of dangerous and rare creatures! In the original narrative, he nearly exposed the secret of the Three-Headed Dog over a dragon egg, an act that almost directly led to the theft of the Sorcerer's Stone. The Banks Gang has keenly exploited this weakness!”

“There are members within the Banks Gang who have entered this world multiple times, their identities remaining a mystery until now. However, the one certainty is that one of them has gained the trust of a high-ranking figure in the plot and thus possesses considerable influence. This time around, Banks expended a significant price to bring in an insectoid larva from the Starship Troopers world—this thing is undoubtedly a completely novel species to this world.”

“After the Banks Gang member used this insectoid larva to make a trade with Hagrid, they not only received generous compensation but also injected the larva beforehand with a massive dose of anesthetic guaranteed to last fifty hours. For Hagrid, consumed by his passion for creature-raising, he will inevitably abandon these relatively unimportant chores to meticulously care for that ferocious little thing—as furiously as any of you would chase a scantily clad woman when sexually frustrated. As for dereliction of duty, ladies and gentlemen, Dumbledore is currently in charge at Hogwarts. He firmly believes Hagrid is someone whose life can be entrusted. Under these circumstances, it is unquestionable that even if problems arise, this big oaf Hagrid will only receive a couple of stern scoldings. But we are facing the disastrous fate of being eliminated before the real show even begins! Without our support, our Boss will inevitably be isolated, and the grand plan we laid out will certainly be aborted!”
