Fang Senyan, having chosen his escape route the moment he made the collision, knew the house would take a good two or three seconds to fully collapse—ample time to vault out the window. But the sluggish Terminator T-750 followed his retreating figure for a few shuffling steps before being hammered down and buried by the cascade of falling bricks and choking dust.
The brawl inside the villa hadn't greatly impacted the neighbors, but a collapsing house was guaranteed to draw a crowd. Fang Senyan didn't pause after shattering the window; coughing violently, he scrambled and tumbled toward an SUV parked not far off, covered in grime and blood. He wrenched the door open and dove into the driver's seat! The driver started to protest angrily, but upon seeing the terrifying .500 holstered at Fang Senyan's hip, he wisely clapped his hands over his head and fled in disarray.
Once inside, Fang Senyan immediately slammed the accelerator to the floor. The SUV's engine roared, belching thick black smoke from the exhaust pipe. The rear tires spun madly, even smoking faintly from the intense friction. From the rubble of the nearby house, however, a metallic-sheened skeletal hand suddenly punched through the earth, still bearing smears of vivid crimson flesh! The hand flexed, sending soil and stones surging, and the upper torso of the Terminator T-750 reappeared before Fang Senyan.
The T-750’s synthetic flesh was now riddled with tears, and its metallic skeleton showed several noticeable dents and gashes, with electrical sparks occasionally jumping between the damaged joints. The only thing unchanged were its pair of glowing red optical sensors—cold, indifferent, and eternally ferocious!
Fang Senyan stared back coldly from the driver's seat, then aimed the SUV and violently smashed into the machine!
With a deafening CRUNCH, the SUV bucked and jumped over debris, its front bumper slamming directly into the T-750’s upper body. This mechanical killer from the future could not withstand such force; it was violently thrown backward amidst flying bricks and dust, skidding over twenty meters down the road.
But even then, the T-750 attempted to stabilize itself, digging its steel-boned fingers into the asphalt, scraping out a long shower of sparks. It seemed its left leg had been pinned by heavy debris in the ruins; as it was flung back, the left thigh was brutally ripped away, leaving only a few severed wires fluttering like broken, pathetic veins at the stump, occasionally spitting out small bursts of electrical fire.
Fang Senyan had no intention of letting up. He wrenched the steering wheel, his face hard, and stomped the gas again, recklessly charging forward. The SUV accelerated to nearly sixty miles per hour in mere seconds, its tires emitting a faint, acrid blue smoke as it once more smashed into the T-750 with a gust of wind! This time, Fang Senyan bailed out mid-charge, rolling to safety just in time to watch the SUV, like a maddened bull, slam into the side of an adjacent building while still connected to the T-750!
In the instant of impact, Fang Senyan clearly saw the SUV's hood crumple, warp, and fold as if made of paper. Then the entire chassis, driven by inertia, reared upright before erupting in a violent explosion, immediately swallowed by raging fire and thick smoke.
"Hah..." Fang Senyan let out a long, ragged breath.
During such intense combat, he could grit his teeth and endure, but now, as the tension dissolved, pain and exhaustion flooded back instantly. Every bone felt broken; he yearned only to collapse and do nothing. But the Delta Force operatives would arrive in two minutes, and Fang Senyan dared not linger. He headed for a nearby car, intending to make a clean getaway.
However, from the center of that distant inferno, something stirred. Then, crawling out of the terrifying blaze came... half a Terminator T-750! Its mechanical body below the sternum was shattered beyond recognition, yet it dragged itself forward, its one remaining mechanical arm twisting and hooking for purchase. Its raised, skeletal head remained defiant and menacing, the red light in its eye sockets coldly fixing on him—even now, it had not forgotten its mission!
Fang Senyan’s facial muscles twitched, a wild, almost savage look flashing in his eyes. He strode forward, covering the distance in one leap, landed directly behind the T-750, and wrapped his muscular arm around its neck. The Terminator had just pulled itself from the fire; its exterior was searing hot, and the stench of burnt flesh instantly filled the air. Fang Senyan seemed oblivious, gritting his teeth as he wrenched his arm, applying immense force while the T-750’s metal arms thrashed uselessly in the air.
A grating, teeth-on-edge sound emanated from the T-750's neck, followed by a sharp, cracking SNAP! Faint electrical arcs flickered between the gaps in the steel structure. Fang Senyan roared, grabbing a discarded iron rod from the ground and viciously driving it deep into the T-750’s eye socket!
Live fully, die without regret!
Electric light burst violently from the wounded area, causing the Terminator T-750 to convulse violently, rolling five or six meters across the road. The red glow in its remaining eye socket began to flicker, finally extinguishing in defiance.
"You inflicted 40 points of damage upon Terminator T-750." "Terminator T-750's Health is -13." "You have killed Terminator T-750." "Milestone Achieved: Enemy of the Machines activated. You have killed 1/3 Terminators. You still need to kill 2 more Terminators to earn the title 'Enemy of the Machines'." "You single-handedly killed Terminator T-750, earning an additional 200 Genesis Points. Genesis Points are equivalent to basic currency and can be used for various expenditures." "You have obtained one Summoning Key (Blue)." (This key was dropped by Terminator T-750; you can use it to summon a loot box of corresponding grade to obtain items related to the T-750's drops.)
Seeing this string of notifications from the Nightmare Imprint, Fang Senyan had no time to examine them closely. He urgently rushed toward the location where the T-750 had previously time-traveled. Though now a ruin, a meter-long, crystal-like transparent cube, shimmering faintly with internal electrical light, was clearly suspended in the air.
Although several people were already running about nearby, shouting orders, they seemed completely oblivious to this crystal object. Fang Senyan instinctively knew this must be the time-space node he was tasked to destroy for his main mission. He walked up, casually lifted a skewed chair, and smashed it down hard.
A ripple, like light spreading across a surface, instantly spread across the time-space node. Fang Senyan gasped for air, pulled back, and smashed the chair down again. After more than ten repeated blows, the node’s surface was covered in cobweb-like fractures. Finally, it flickered once in resignation before shattering with a loud bang into a scattering of light particles that slowly dispersed.
Simultaneously, the Nightmare Imprint sounded: "You have destroyed the Time-Space Node." "Main Mission: Clear the Time-Space Node." "Mission Briefing: The Skynet system long ago began preparations to dispatch Terminators back in time for assassination missions. However, to execute time travel, a large number of stable time-space nodes must be established within the current time frame to ensure the Terminators can be transmitted intact." "Mission Objective: Eliminate the Time-Space Nodes established by the Skynet system in this world." (Completed) "You may choose to claim your mission rewards now and return to the Nightmare Space within five minutes." "Alternatively, you may postpone claiming your rewards and continue exploring this world." Warning: You may claim mission rewards at any time while not in combat, but the absolute deadline for claiming rewards must not exceed the final limit set for the mission (48 hours); otherwise, the mission will be deemed incomplete." Note: Combat status = You are considered in combat if you attack an enemy or are attacked by an enemy, regardless of whether the attack hits. You exit combat status 100 seconds after you cease being attacked or attacking."
Fang Senyan paid no heed to these continuous prompts, as the piercing wail of sirens sounded in the distance—with the police here, the dreaded Delta Force couldn't be far behind! He immediately seized the nearest motorcycle and sped away. He had accumulated considerable sin value from assaulting officers, hijacking vehicles, and illegal entry; avoiding the police was paramount, and a flexible, fast motorcycle was the obvious choice.
He had only driven two blocks after mounting the bike when an icy chill stabbed into his spine. Just as he thought not good, a dark, massive police vehicle suddenly rounded the corner ahead, drifting to a stop about ten meters in front of him, effectively blocking the path. At the same instant, the single window on the side of the vehicle shattered with a CRASH, and five dark gun barrels poked through the wire mesh, all aimed directly at him! Fang Senyan felt as if he’d plunged into an ice cellar; five consecutive shots could kill even him at his peak, let alone in his current wounded and exhausted state?
