With light illuminating the chamber, Imhotep's speed in deciphering the wall inscriptions increased dramatically. Under his translation, the group gained a general understanding of the ruin's purpose. They then proceeded to the chamber of murals and written texts, where the history of that distant era was also deciphered.

"...After the 'Sages' lived out their thousands upon thousands of years and eventually died, those who inherited their knowledge and a fraction of their power began to spread throughout the ancient civilizations of every continent. Following the will of the 'Sages,' they made sure to avoid conflict between the ancient civilizations of different continents. Thus, an ancient civilization survived on each major landmass, passing down this knowledge and power from generation to generation. Eventually, however, some individuals began to misuse the knowledge and power left by the 'Sages.'"

"...In and around the Central Continent, two major sects emerged within the Central Continent's ancient civilization, engaging in a brutal conflict to seize the last few dozen golden pills left behind by the 'Sages.' They proclaimed themselves the Chan Sect and the Jie Sect. The ultimate result was the collapse of the Central Continent's ancient civilization, and most of the mountain dwellers perished. The few dozen golden pills vanished without a trace. The newly formed civilization inherited only a small fraction of the ancient power and knowledge, and no new mountain dwellers ever arose afterward. The local people referred to these advanced beings dwelling on the mountains as 'Immortals'..."

"...On the continent of Babylon, the ancient civilization there experienced prolonged opposition between two advanced life forms created by the two 'Sages.' This culminated in a confrontation at the Babylon Tower, the site of the 'Sages' laboratory. The final outcome led to the extinction of these two powerful races, who were long-lived but incapable of reproduction. The ones with black wings and the ones with white wings vanished simultaneously with the fall of the Babylonian ancient civilization. Ultimately, this civilization found no inheritors, and the long-extinct local humans referred to these two advanced life forms as 'Demons' and 'Angels'..."

"...On the continent of Aegyptus, the 'Sages' of that ancient civilization and the 'Sages' of the ancient civilization of the Indian Continent employed the same theory: mixing the life essence of the monsters who had once warred against humanity into the fundamental life essence of the human body. Two distinct life essences were perfectly merged under the control of the 'Sages,' thus giving rise to advanced life forms surpassing humanity. They were called 'Gods' by the local humans, each possessing the head of an animal and the body of a human. However, following the deaths of the 'Sages,' the ancient monster life essence within these 'Gods' could no longer be suppressed. They subsequently unleashed brutal destruction upon the local ancient civilization, causing the ancient civilizations of Aegyptus and the Indian Continent to also disappear. The new civilizations that inherited their vestiges only managed to retain a meager amount of knowledge and power..."

"...On the Northern Continent, the 'Sages' here utilized a method of controlling life essence externally. However, because this life form could not control its inherent desire for evolution, coupled with the irreversible nature of the forced advancement—a critical flaw, as Leon roughly described it—this advanced life form destroyed the majority of the achievements of the ancient Mayan civilization after the 'Sages' died. They, too, faded away into the river of history..."

The group listened in silence as Imhotep narrated the events that had been lost to the annals of history, until he recited the final words: "...We are the recorders of history, documenting the truest past. Even though our physical forms have perished, our spirits shall forever accompany these writings and this earth, until the seas dry up and the stones crumble..."

Zheng Zha sighed softly. "Is this the ending to that story from last time? So even those 'Sages,' who were practically gods, could die. I never imagined such a brilliant ancient civilization would meet such an end... Chu Xuan, are you very interested in these inscriptions?"

Chu Xuan was practically draped over the stone wall, repeatedly murmuring Imhotep's words to himself, etching the meaning of every hieroglyph into his mind. Eve was doing the same. Without turning around, Chu Xuan responded, "I've deciphered the meaning of over a hundred hieroglyphs, more or less, Imhotep. Tell us something else..."

Zheng Zha managed an apologetic, wry smile toward Imhotep; he was quite helpless against Chu Xuan when his thirst for knowledge became almost fanatical. So, he played along, "Let's go check out the fabrication room. Hopefully, there'll be some surprises in store for us there..."

Led by Imhotep, the group easily located the fabrication room deep within the ruins. This area was also in a state of semi-collapse, virtually destroyed. Everyone could only stare at the stone chamber and sigh deeply. Only Chu Xuan remained, silently sifting through small stone fragments amidst the rubble. Just as everyone was silently preparing to leave the ruins after a long while, Chu Xuan picked up a small stone fragment and held it toward Imhotep, asking, "What does this hieroglyph mean?"
