Eight hundred and thirty million World Beasts—nearly ninety percent of the entire World Beast force. What an immense power that was. The World Beasts scattered in the peripheral zones could not fathom how so many of their kind could be instantly annihilated, yet it had truly happened. They trusted their senses implicitly; it was their innate gift!
“They’re all dead.”
“Every last one.”
“Eight hundred and thirty million World Beasts.”
They were utterly stunned.
The surviving World Beasts numbered barely over nine hundred thousand. Compared to the eight hundred and thirty million, this was less than one-ninth! When the primary strength of the entire World Beast clan was wiped out, what could those who remained possibly do?
“What do we do?”
“What do we do?”
Fear. Absolute, paralyzing fear.
They no longer dared to assemble and confront the Galaxy Lord Luo Feng. In their minds, the Galaxy Lord was their nemesis! With eight million dead, would the remaining nine hundred thousand dare to approach? If the Galaxy Lord struck them down once more, it would truly be the end.
As terror enveloped the surviving World Beasts, within the Virtual Universe...
At the summit of Thunder Island.
Luo Feng strode quickly along the cloud-shrouded walkway and spotted the City Lord of Chaos also appearing in the distance.
“Teacher,” Luo Feng said, his face alight with excitement. “It succeeded, Teacher. I succeeded.”
The City Lord of Chaos was overjoyed upon hearing this.
For so long, he had received no word from Luo Feng, worrying constantly—worried for his disciple’s safety, worried for the future of the entire Human Race.
“What exactly happened?” the City Lord of Chaos pressed urgently.
“It was like this,” Luo Feng explained. “In the dimmest region of the World Beast Lair, there were a total of over nine million two hundred thousand World Beasts! Every single one was at least at the peak of the Second Order, equivalent to the one I captured alive.”
The City Lord of Chaos recoiled in shock. “Over nine million?”
Heavens.
The mere thought was a nightmare, draining his courage and confidence just contemplating it.
“I, too, felt despair,” Luo Feng quickly continued. “But thankfully, I once obtained a treasure, an absolutely heaven-defying artifact. I believe this was the sliver of hope left for us under the supreme operation of the rules. I went into the dimmest region and madly absorbed World Beasts, forcing eight hundred and thirty million of them to surround and attack me... Then, I fully unleashed the might of this heaven-defying treasure and annihilated all eight hundred and thirty million World Beasts instantly. Now, the total survivors are less than a million.”
The City Lord of Chaos remained silent, his eyes wide open.
He was usually a very calm man.
But first, the sheer number of over nine million World Beasts had stunned him, and then Luo Feng, relying on a single treasure, had killed over eight hundred and thirty million... How could he possibly remain calm?
“With this battle fought, we finally have a true chance at survival,” Luo Feng exclaimed excitedly. “The remaining World Beasts are under a million, perhaps barely nine hundred thousand! Even in the most perfect scenario, they might not birth three Sixth Order World Beasts. Although the heaven-defying treasure I used this time can only be deployed once, the surviving World Beasts don't know that... They will be terrified. I will devise every means to slaughter, destroy, and strike them down one by one. As long as no Sixth Order World Beasts emerge among them, we have nothing to fear.”
“Sixth Order World Beasts?” The City Lord of Chaos looked puzzled.
“It’s like this...” Luo Feng began to explain.
The master and disciple conversed, both brimming with excitement. Clearly, this great victory was incredibly morale-boosting, allowing them to finally see the hope of victory.
Even a figure in a white robe appeared nearby—it was the Primal Ancestor.
He was the one who had conjured the Virtual Universe using a secret technique, so naturally, he knew everything happening within it. Hearing Luo Feng and the City Lord of Chaos converse now, a deep satisfaction bloomed in his eyes.
“Well done,” the Primal Ancestor murmured softly, expectation in his gaze.
He was aware of Luo Feng’s transaction with the Origin Will. If the World Beast threat was eliminated, the Origin Will would release him. Although the Primal Ancestor did not fear death, the prospect of living again was something he deeply anticipated.
“Exhilarating,” the City Lord of Chaos said, thrilled.
“That’s the situation,” Luo Feng said, equally excited. Everything was described in just five minutes.
“The surviving World Beasts are currently scattered along the periphery of the dimmest region, and they are completely separated,” Luo Feng stated. “It will take me a long time just to reach them, and since they are separated... even if I kill them, it will have to be one or two at a time. So, the next stage will still be arduous.”
The City Lord of Chaos laughed. “Hahaha, that is infinitely better than before.”
“Indeed. The previous number of World Beasts made me truly despair,” Luo Feng sighed.
“Hm?” Luo Feng suddenly frowned.
“What’s wrong?” the City Lord of Chaos inquired.
“Teacher, wait a moment,” Luo Feng vanished instantly, temporarily exiting the Virtual Universe.
The City Lord of Chaos felt a pang of anxiety. What had happened?
Inside Luo Feng’s miniature universe.
Morosa pointed at the massive model of the dimmest region before him. “Master, right now, all nine hundred thousand surviving World Beasts in the entire dimmest region are preparing to fly out from various directions.”
“They’re fleeing?” Luo Feng’s expression changed.
If they had remained inside the dimmest region, he would have had time to slowly consume them. But the death of over eight million had completely stripped the survivors of the courage to confront Luo Feng head-on; they were all leaving the dimmest region.
“It’s not fleeing,” Morosa stated grimly... “They are departing. The World Beast race was born for destruction; even when killed, they seek to inflict a final bite upon the enemy. They will not give up easily. Even if they cannot kill Master now, they will find other ways to change the situation. Master must not let his guard down.”
Luo Feng nodded.
In the dimmest region of the Crushing Peak Realm, Luo Feng was rapidly traversing vast distances outward. The surviving World Beasts, already near the edge of the dimmest region, were exiting quickly. As for Luo Feng himself, it took a considerable time just to fly out from the central depths.
“Whoosh whoosh whoosh~~~” Flying out of the dimmest region, they emerged into the domain of the Ten Thousand Wave Waters.
The Ten Thousand Wave Waters were incredibly vast.
But the route Luo Feng chose happened to pass near the hiding spots of King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan.
“Hm?” Luo Feng glimpsed from afar a colossal ship undulating amidst the water waves. On the ship were two figures: one, an incomparably tall metal lifeform whose eyes were like two giant, blazing stars. The other was the similarly massive and serpentine Ancestor God Qiu Yan, coiled nearby.
“They’re still here,” Luo Feng mused. “It seems that while the World Beasts scattered and fled, they completely disregarded these two servants.”
The information about the various races in the Cosmic Sea that King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan possessed was already known to the World Beasts. Furthermore, since both were discovered to be spies, they were now useless. The World Beasts were currently suffering their greatest blow; why would they care about the lives of two servants?
“Zhen Jia,” Ancestor God Qiu Yan said somberly, “I regret it deeply. If we had fought back initially, perhaps this miserable end could have been avoided.”
“Regret what?” King Zhen Jia countered. “When the three of us faced that powerful World Beast, resisting meant death! We could only choose subjugation... Wasn't everything fine before? No race in the Cosmic Sea knew our true background. But then Luo Feng appeared, and the Jin World emerged, causing the strength of all races in the Cosmic Sea to surpass ours far beyond what we expected. It's what led us to this predicament.”
The public enemies of the Cosmic Sea—it was the two of them!
“Hm?”
King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan both stiffened.
Because they both saw a gigantic divine eye suddenly appear, suspended in the void in the distance. At that instant, the surrounding Ten Thousand Wave Waters, the ship beneath their feet, and even their companion beside them vanished. There was only the divine eye hovering high above and themselves in the void. The eye’s light shone down, and an overwhelmingly powerful will swept over them.
King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan collapsed, instantly losing consciousness.
Their minds were plunged into gray nothingness.
When they finally awoke...
“Where is this?” King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan looked around. The surroundings were a stretch of dim, dark land.
“Where exactly are we?”
“Where are we?” Both were panicked.
Suddenly, a cold voice echoed: “This is a prison!”
Luo Feng easily imprisoned both King Zhen Jia and Ancestor God Qiu Yan within the Star Tower. He did not rush to kill them, as they were the primary conspirators behind the fall of the Giant Axe. Many within the Human Race longed to see them dead—the City Lord of Chaos, for one, hated them so much he wanted to devour their flesh!
Whoosh!
Luo Feng swiftly moved outward and then quickly left the Crushing Peak Realm via the shortcut along the ‘Winged Space.’
“Go to the entrance of the Crushing Peak Realm...” Upon entering the waters and quickly exiting the Crushing Peak Realm, Luo Feng instead flew directly toward the entrance—the great mountain peak of the Crushing Peak Realm.
“I’ll guard it here.”
“The World Beasts must leave the Crushing Peak Realm primarily through this entrance,” Luo Feng thought. “One comes out, I kill one. Ten come out, I kill ten.”
However, Luo Feng remained worried.
Because the core of the Crushing Peak Realm was actually an immensely towering mountain, which had been sliced in half down the middle.
Therefore, the exit area was extraordinarily wide! Even for Luo Feng, he could only guard a small section of it.
Inside Luo Feng’s miniature universe.
His Divine Power Clone stared intently at the huge model of the dimmest region, tracking the movements of the surviving World Beasts. Morosa was beside him. “Master, the fastest World Beasts are already approaching the exit point.”
“Understood.” The Divine Power Clone listened carefully, while Luo Feng’s main body was already waiting along that route.
“It stopped,” Morosa exclaimed in surprise. “It stopped even though it was still a good distance from the exit.”
“Why did it stop?” Luo Feng frowned.
Time passed.
One by one, the World Beasts stopped when they were still a considerable distance from the exit. Soon, over four hundred and fifty thousand World Beasts had completely dispersed, all halting their advance far from the final exit.
And then...
The other four hundred and fifty thousand World Beasts were much further behind, also completely dispersed. Each World Beast maintained a vast distance from the others.
“Advance...”
“Advance.”
The surviving nine hundred thousand World Beasts were now divided into two groups.
The leading four hundred and fifty thousand began moving directly toward the exit. They were each spread out over a wide range, which made Luo Feng’s expression turn grim, because even if Luo Feng went to kill one, he could only target a single World Beast! If the other World Beasts confirmed Luo Feng’s location, they would immediately use teleportation to flee far away. Once they escaped the exit and entered the Cosmic Sea—the boundless expanse—how could Luo Feng possibly capture them?
