Zheng Zha laughed, “Don’t worry, this hoverboard’s weight capacity is eight hundred kilograms. I doubt any of the four of us weighs two hundred kilograms, right? Hahaha, rest assured, I’ve factored the basket’s weight in as well. If you’re still uneasy, I can test it by flying at a low altitude—that should be fine, shouldn't it?” In the end, O'Connell and the other two couldn't suppress their curiosity and climbed into the basket for a try. When they saw the hoverboard overhead actually pulling the basket into the air, flying neither fast nor slow but steadily, their suspended hearts finally settled. Jonathan was the first to exclaim loudly, “Zheng Zha, this thing is absolutely incredible! Do you have the blueprints for it? I have a few friends in manufacturing; they could mass-produce this and sell it. This stable and fast flight status must surely be cheaper than an airplane, right? We can split the profits evenly, how about that? Uh, okay, okay, how about you take sixty percent and I take twenty, or maybe seventy-thirty? Hey, I’m the one doing all the legwork here for you, so no less than eighty-twenty for you, or I’m done negotiating!” Zheng Zha listened to the sounds coming from beneath the hoverboard and felt a deep calm settle over him. This must be the feeling of comrades standing shoulder-to-shoulder. Since the Resident Evil 2 incident, this feeling had only reappeared upon meeting O'Connell and the others again. After all, they were people who had fought side-by-side once; this sense of security was actually the rarest commodity.
Because of the addition of three people and a large basket, the Green Devil Hoverboard’s flight speed immediately dropped slightly. Correspondingly, however, the energy conduits on the Green Devil Hoverboard were draining at double their usual speed. Calculating based on this flight speed and the current load, the hoverboard could fly for a maximum of thirty more hours. Unless they could swap out the solid energy blocks mid-flight, the hoverboard would become useless for air travel, only able to be recharged upon returning to the 'Main God' Space.
(A solid energy block costs three hundred reward points, making it one of the more expensive energy sources. However, the Green Devil Hoverboard is incredibly convenient to use. Unless they could redeem a legendary magic artifact of B-rank or higher, or an A-rank flying sword, this hoverboard remains among the most convenient modes of transportation. So, when they have surplus reward points, they should stock up on a few solid energy blocks.) Zheng Zha contemplated these matters as he flew, letting the Green Devil Hoverboard push onward. Approximately two hours into the flight, the group finally spotted the outline of Hamunaptra, the City of the Dead, against the ground line. From above, it was teeming with laborers; thousands of workers moved ceaselessly over the ruins.
Such a scene was truly breathtaking. Furthermore, looking down from above, the first level of the City of the Dead, Hamunaptra, had already been excavated. Black-robed guardians were seen excitedly hauling a piece of golden ornamentation out of the ruins. Upon witnessing this, Jonathan’s breathing grew ragged. If they hadn't been airborne, he likely would have already rushed down to “assist” those black-clad men.
When the group finally descended, the big-bearded black-robed man approached, accompanied by several older men in black robes. The big-bearded man laughed and playfully punched Zheng Zha’s shoulder. He then chuckled heartily, “So you had this hidden talent up your sleeve! You didn’t even finish your afternoon errands, yet you actually managed to bring them over from Cairo, and you can carry this many people too. Do you have any more of these things?” Zheng Zha gave an apologetic smile. “Only this one. This item is incredibly expensive even in our world, far more valuable than gold. But if the chance arises in the future, I will certainly bring you its design schematics.”
The big-bearded man seemed disappointed but continued laughing, “Let’s put that aside for now. The elders have discussed it. As long as you retrieve the Spear of Judgment and defeat ten of our tribe’s strongest warriors barehanded, we will provide you with information about the Scorpion King’s Bracelet. Of course, those ten warriors will all be armed with short-range weapons.”
Zheng Zha felt a hidden surge of complex emotion—part satisfaction, part pride—and smiled before he could speak. The big-bearded man leaned in and whispered conspiratorially, “This afternoon, they dug up a golden statue of the Sun God, weighing at least fifteen tons. The old guys are ecstatic, so naturally, they agreed quickly.”
Zheng Zha laughed loudly. He retrieved the golden short staff from his storage ring and chuckled, “Hahaha, I truly have great luck. Do you remember the report from your subordinates? The Spear of Judgment was stolen. The thief was Jonathan, hahaha!” The big-bearded man froze for a moment, then laughed and cursed back, “Indeed. If it was Jonathan, stealing that thing would be child’s play. Hahaha, your luck is truly excellent.”
Jonathan interjected from the side, whining, “Come on, this is borrowed! It’s borrowed! You guys are completely slandering my reputation.”
The others ignored him. Only O’Connell suddenly spoke up, “One person barehanded against ten armed men—what kind of trial rule is that? That’s clearly setting an impossible task. Can’t you use your authority as the tribal chief?” The big-bearded man shrugged helplessly. “There’s nothing to be done. Within the tribe, only the priests outrank the elders. They can arbitrarily dismiss and elect even me, the chief. In truth, they’ve always considered the Scorpion King’s treasure as their own property. Although that thing is terrifying, if they can’t have it, naturally, they don’t want anyone else to have it either. This is intentionally making things difficult for you. Even if you get the Spear of Judgment, they probably won't want you to get the Scorpion King’s treasure.”
Zheng Zha paused to consider. He suddenly turned toward the robed elders and smiled—he kept smiling until the elders looked utterly bewildered. Then, he twisted the Spear of Judgment and aimed it toward the empty stretch of desert behind him. Everyone silently watched him as he hurled the golden spear.
(Can both Inner Strength and Vampire Energy be used? Then I will mix both and infuse them continuously into this spear.) Zheng Zha circulated the Vampire Energy and Inner Strength within his body. One flowed down, the other up, the two forces entangling on his arm before entering the Spear of Judgment. The spear seemed to possess infinite capacity, continuously absorbing the Vampire Energy and Inner Strength until the entire spear radiated a golden brilliance. With a great roar, Zheng Zha violently threw the weapon.
The spear instantly transformed into a golden shaft of light, flying across the air for about fifteen hundred meters before plunging violently into the ground. A flash of golden light erupted. Although there was no explosion, a massive pit, roughly seven to eight meters wide and two to three meters deep, appeared where the spear struck. The golden Spear of Judgment stood perfectly upright in the center of this crater, looking identical to an ordinary golden spear in shape and form.
Even Zheng Zha himself was stunned by this immense power. He had tried channeling both energies into the Zaku Lightning Axe before, but at most, it only granted the axe corrosive properties and increased durability; it never reached the point of vastly amplifying its destructive power. The Spear of Judgment was truly miraculous—it was no wonder it was identified as a plot item by the 'Main God.' He wondered if there were other such items recognized by the Main God—perhaps the Necronomicon, the Book of Resurrection, or this Spear of Judgment? The elders were dumbstruck. They immediately began clamoring, and several black-robed men rushed towards the Spear of Judgment. However, Zheng Zha was much faster. Utilizing his Qinggong (lightness skill), he easily outpaced them and retrieved the spear. The black-robed men could only watch him with eyes full of intentional resentment.
The black-robed elders seemed frantic, urgently whispering to the big-bearded man, who stared back at them with icy anger, appearing genuinely furious.
Zheng Zha quickly surmised what they were debating: the immense power of the Spear of Judgment. The black-robed elders were naturally reluctant to part with such a treasure. However, based on the movie’s plot, this spear did not possess such terrifying power; even when O'Connell threw it, there was no change in its potency. Therefore, he deduced that this item, like the Necronomicon and the Book of Resurrection, was an item that could only unleash its full potential when held by a member of their reincarnation team. He immediately burst out laughing, “It’s alright. You want to test its power? Besides me, no one can wield its true power. Go ahead and try it if you don’t believe me.”
Saying this, he generously held out the Spear of Judgment.
The big-bearded man was about to speak when a black-robed elder directly took the spear and handed it to a stout man standing nearby. Without hesitation, under the elder’s command, the man raised the Spear of Judgment solemnly and looked toward the empty distant sand dunes. He took a deep breath, even took a running start of a few meters forward, and then hurled the Spear of Judgment fiercely.
Unfortunately, the Spear of Judgment emitted no golden light. It flew like an ordinary golden spear for a few dozen meters before obliquely embedding itself in a sand pile. This sand pile remained perfectly intact, showing absolutely no sign of rupturing.
