The expanse of the Sea of Chaos was awash with alarm; Luo Feng’s three main avatars—the Jin Jiao Giant Beast avatar, the Dark Sea avatar, and the Demon Killing Clan avatar—had all departed the Original Universe, splitting into two routes. The Dark Sea avatar and the Demon Killing Clan avatar traveled together, carrying treasures such as the Star Tower and the Wu-Slaying Wings, possessing absolutely overwhelming combat power.

The Jin Jiao Giant Beast avatar took the other route, bringing only mechanical stream treasures, supreme soul-type true treasures, and other items that Luo Feng himself considered of little worth.

These two routes were assigned to cover two separate sectors within the Sea of Chaos!

It was clear that Luo Feng was prepared: should a Jie Beast appear in the sector bordering the Original Universe, the Jin Jiao Giant Beast avatar would immediately disintegrate, only to be reformed anew in the endless Dark Sea.

...

Within the Milky Way Plane, carved out separately inside the Virtual Universe.

Stars blazed brilliantly, and a grand palace floated suspended. On the plaza before the palace stood a host of human powerhouses, bowing respectfully. At the very forefront sat Luo Feng.

“Greetings, Teacher,” the group of human experts said in unison, reverence palpable.

Luo Feng glanced at them. “Be seated.”

These peerless geniuses, drawn from different eras and races, all sat down obediently.

Luo Feng looked at this gathering of disciples, a sigh stirring in his heart. Over countless eons, the human race had encompassed numerous races, naturally producing a vast number of geniuses. While City Lord of Chaos had taken in over twenty, Luo Feng himself had accepted sixteen. Luo Zhenni and Huo Qiong were naturally his eldest and second disciples, respectively.

Among these sixteen disciples...

There was one True God! Thirteen Universe Masters! And two Universe Venerables!

“If you have any questions, ask them now,” Luo Feng looked down upon them, his tone calm.

Luo Feng primarily taught by guiding his disciples to explore on their own, only interjecting with minor pointers when they reached a seeming impasse. Typically, after a considerable period, Luo Feng would hold a collective session—which essentially meant the disciples voiced their confusion, and Luo Feng offered his insights.

“Teacher, my foundation lies in Metal and Fire, supplemented by Space and Time... I strive to forge a sixth-tier secret technique, yet every attempt ends in failure,” said a disciple below, distinguished by his wings and sharp nose—this was Luo Feng’s ninth disciple, ‘Chen He.’

Luo Feng nodded. “Display for me everything you are capable of performing, and show me precisely where you find yourself unable to complete the refinement.”

“Yes, Teacher,” the ninth disciple, Chen He, replied respectfully.

Chen He then turned toward the distant void, flipping his hand to summon a massive shield. He tossed it, and with a sudden whoosh, the shield suspended in mid-air instantly transformed, morphing into a colossal greatsword. In that moment, it tore through the void, soaring outward with a roaring sound. Where it passed, a monstrous beast of golden flame manifested, roaring as space itself seemed to completely freeze. Everything was incinerated; several distant stars shattered under the onslaught.

“Top-tier fifth-tier,” Luo Feng observed.

“I exerted my utmost effort, Teacher, but I cannot advance even a fraction further,” the ninth disciple, Chen He, stated humbly.

Luo Feng nodded slowly. “Observing your technique, I grasp your intent... The leap from top-tier fifth-tier to sixth-tier is a fundamental breakthrough. It is exceedingly difficult. The Laws of Metal and the Laws of Fire... these two foundational laws are inherently supportive and mutually augmenting, possessing unfathomable might. Allow me to demonstrate a move; study it well.”

Luo Feng casually extended a finger.

Instantly, a giant golden dragon materialized in the distant void. This dragon, crafted entirely of what appeared to be pure gold, roared through the air. Suddenly, in a single instant, the entire dragon, from tail tip to head, rapidly transformed into scorching red flame, shifting from a Golden Dragon to a Fire Dragon.

Chen He stood there stunned, lost in deep contemplation.

“Next,” Luo Feng turned his gaze to his other disciples.

...

Across trillions of eons, although his progress on the Divine Power path remained stalled, Luo Feng could not afford to waste such an immense span of time. He naturally delved into researching the other foundational laws, understanding clearly that for a True God to evolve into a Void True God, basing one’s path on the Ten Great Foundational Laws—Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Space, Time, Wind, Thunder, and Light—was paramount. Before the trillion eons mark, he had already created the Light of Water and Fire.

And over the span of these trillions of eons, utilizing the ten-thousand-fold time acceleration within the cultivation space of the Inheritance Space, and studying the legacies left behind by supreme beings in the history of the Ancient Civilization’s Jin Kingdom, he meticulously researched the connections between the Ten Great Foundational Laws.

Presently...

Luo Feng had achieved extremely profound attainments in these Ten Great Foundational Laws. He had personally created eighty-three peak seventh-tier secret techniques similar to the Light of Water and Fire. He also possessed two eighth-tier secret techniques; as for peak eighth-tier, those remained elusive. Even so, Luo Feng had reason to be proud.

After all, the two great beings of the Duan Dong River lineage, including the Third Ancestor Master, had each only managed to create a single eighth-tier secret technique!

This was the essence of 'accumulating depth for a sudden burst of brilliance.' Once Luo Feng ascended to the rank of True God, a stunning leap would naturally occur. In terms of foundational laws, advancing from top-tier fifth-tier to sixth-tier was one threshold; reaching the seventh-tier was another super-threshold; and achieving the eighth-tier was a threshold against the heavens. Any being who could create an eighth-tier technique in the Ancient Civilization, as long as they survived, was destined to become a Saint.

...

The sixteen disciples, guided by Luo Feng, were filled with elation. Their Teacher’s attainments were simply too high. Even True Gods could not achieve this level of casual manipulation, effortlessly combining various foundational laws at will.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng’s expression shifted slightly.

The disciples who remained conscious noticed this change instantly.

“A Jie Beast has appeared?”

“The Jie Beast is here again?” The disciples below could not help but exclaim. Most of them were Universe Masters, possessing high status. While they could not participate in the actual battle against the Jie Beasts, they were certainly kept informed of their movements. News traveled fast within the clan; the moment Luo Feng learned, they knew shortly thereafter.

Luo Feng frowned, issuing a soft command. “This lesson concludes here. All of you, contemplate deeply.”

Understanding that Luo Feng was dismissing them, the disciples quickly stood up. Even those previously lost in contemplation were roused by their peers, offering respectful salutations and thanks to their Teacher before vanishing one by one.

“It has arrived.”

Luo Feng stood on the palace plaza, gazing at the distant, endless void dotted with stars. “It vanished for over three years, and no one could find it. Now it has reappeared. However... you are lucky; the area of its appearance happens to be the sector guarded by True God Jue He, which is quite far from me.”

In the Sea of Chaos, within the chaotic void, a Star Tower was suspended.

Inside this Star Tower, besides Luo Feng, were Hong and Huo Qiong, two True Gods, waiting in silent vigil.

“The Jie Beast has appeared.”

“We depart immediately and head toward it,” Luo Feng declared.

Hong and Huo Qiong were equally filled with eager anticipation.

“It was gone for so long; it has finally emerged,” Hong remarked. “I wonder what it was doing all that time it was missing.”

Huo Qiong voiced a concern. “My greatest worry is that more than one Jie Beast has arrived this time.”

“Regardless, we deal with the one present first. True God Jue He will arrive first, followed by Lord of Bones second. We should be the third group. It will take about three days to reach the location,” the flames of desire also burned within Luo Feng; he desperately longed to slay this Jie Beast.

...

The Jie Beast had cast a shadow of unease and self-preservation across the entire Sea of Chaos.

“Woo!”

With a massive golden body and a ferocious tail, the Jie Beast Mo Luo Sa stood in the void. Black mist coiled around its form, emitting oscillating light rays that stretched out and pierced the distant void, enveloping a small universe far away. Brilliant streams of light penetrated these oscillating rays, continuously flowing into its body.

“It’s been a long time since I ate. I can finally eat again. This is utterly delicious, so satisfying,” Jie Beast Mo Luo Sa reveled in the pleasure. “Hahahaha! The last small universe I consumed, belonging to the True Lord of Fire Insects, though I devoured more than half, it still took considerable time to fully absorb and transform. My strength increased markedly. Haha, this power gain is too fast... That detestable fellow Bei Di must still be racking his brains trying to devour other Jie Beasts. His rate of growth certainly can’t be as fast as mine.”

Jie Beast Mo Luo Sa feasted contentedly.

Time flowed on.

A Universe Master came to probe, but no True God appeared during that interim.

“This one is called the small universe of the Traversing Demon God,” Jie Beast Mo Luo Sa gazed toward the faintly discernible outline of the distant small universe. “The Traversing Demon God ranks decently among those in the Sea of Chaos. Stronger than the True Lord of Fire Insects, probably on par with Ancestor Master Blood Orchid, whom I fought last time. But to me... he remains nothing more than a delicacy.”

“Hahaha... they truly are timid,” Mo Luo Sa chuckled. “They are likely rallying the other True Gods. Given the distances, those farther away will take ten days to arrive. Those closer might be swifter. I estimate that in about two more days, a team of True Gods will likely come to deal with me.” Jie Beast Mo Luo Sa had familiarized himself with information regarding the Sea of Chaos from Zhen Jia King and Qiu Yan Ancestral God.

Thus, he had a clear idea of the approximate arrival time of the True Gods.

“Traversing Demon God? You’re lucky. Before I completely devour the origin of your small universe, I won’t kill you.”

“Therefore... after feeding for a day, it’s time to leave.”

With a grotesque cackle—

Whoosh!

It instantly teleported, vanishing from that expanse of void into thin air.

...

Outside the membrane wall of that small universe, the Traversing Demon God stood with a deeply troubled expression. No matter how arrogant or ostentatious he might usually be, facing the Jie Beast that brought fear to the entire Sea of Chaos caused him great distress.

“Jie Beast, accursed Jie Beast, to be the second one targeted! I am so unlucky! That fellow Blood Orchid... we stayed together at the Black Patterned Stone Pillar for so long, yet he calls me the ‘Second True Lord of Fire Insects’? I refuse to believe it!” The Traversing Demon God’s mind churned with anxiety. “Hurry up! Hurry up, Jue He, and Silver River! Why aren't you coming faster? If you push me too far, I’ll charge up there myself!”

Behind the Traversing Demon God were six Universe Masters, all special life forms.

“Demon God, the Sea of Chaos was unprepared last time, but everyone is ready now. True God Jue He is nearby, he will arrive quickly.”

“This time, we will definitely kill that Jie Beast.”

“Demon God, you must not take risks!”

These Universe Masters were keenly aware of their leader’s ‘adventurous’ nature. They feared the Traversing Demon God taking reckless risks; if he died, they, who were anchored to this small universe, would perish along with him.

“Huh? Gone... just like that?” The Traversing Demon God suddenly looked bewildered.
