"All of you, stand down!" The Ancestor of Purple Moon’s face was as cold as frost, and he roared down at the figures below.
The Universe Masters kneeling below were trembling, utterly unsettled. The Purple Moon Alliance had suffered too great a loss this time. More than half of the Universe Masters who entered the Jin World were annihilated, leaving fewer than a hundred surviving ones in the Purple Moon Holy Land. Even with the continuous breakthroughs of the 'Quasi-Universe Masters,' the number of Universe Masters barely reached the threshold of one hundred.
But the Quasi-Universe Masters were truly all gone.
"Ancestor, are we still going to the Jin World?" Among the many Universe Masters kneeling below, none retreated; a few still asked with unconcealed reluctance.
The Ancestor of Purple Moon looked down, his expression growing even uglier. After a long silence, he managed to squeeze out a single sentence: "Newly promoted Universe Masters may go to the Jin World! But you must not reveal that you are from my Purple Moon Holy Land!"
"Yes."
A cheer went up from some of the new Universe Masters below.
They had never left the Purple Moon Holy Land. It was only because of the mass death of the established Universe Masters that they, the 'Quasi-Universe Masters,' had managed to break through. As long as they altered their appearances—avoiding iconic forms like 'three heads and eight arms' or 'two faces and four arms'—no other power in the Sea of Universe would recognize them.
If they entered the Jin World… even if powerhouses from other factions in the Sea of Universe saw them, they would probably assume they were natives of the Jin World.
"Leave," the Ancestor of Purple Moon’s voice grew colder.
Whoosh~ The group of Universe Masters finally vanished. Only the Ancestor of Purple Moon remained in the grand hall. For the proud Ancestor of Purple Moon to be forced to utter the words, 'must not reveal that you are from my Purple Moon Holy Land,' filled his heart with boundless humiliation.
"Galaxy Lord Luo Feng!" The Ancestor of Purple Moon gritted his teeth.
He was furious.
He was unwilling to accept this.
But what could he do? Regarding this devastating retaliation, the Ancestor of Purple Moon knew clearly… besides the Human Race, he couldn't imagine any other power doing this!
"I can’t do anything to you, but now that the World Beasts are emerging, I refuse to believe you can survive this," the Ancestor of Purple Moon ground out. Yet, the mere thought of the World Beasts made him even more volatile, because… the World Beasts posed an enormous threat to him as well.
"Aaaarrrggghh~~~"
The Ancestor of Purple Moon threw his head back and roared.
How long had it been since he felt so utterly powerless?
No matter how enraged the Ancestor of Purple Moon was, he had no recourse. He had no other way to kill Luo Feng. Even his attempt to use the 'Jin World' to kill Luo Feng had not only failed, but it resulted in the complete demise of the large contingent of Universe Masters under his command. Without so many subordinates, he was even less capable of dealing with Luo Feng.
If the Ancestor of Purple Moon only felt anger and unwillingness, then many races within the coalition army camp felt endless hatred and resentment!
"Sister!"
"Sister!"
In the void, a stunningly beautiful, translucent girl with butterfly wings stood in unimaginable agony. Her eyes beneath her delicate eyebrows seemed to contain endless pain and sorrow. Scene after scene replayed in her mind: growing up alongside her sister, the sister guiding her, leading her, protecting her at every turn. Her sister was an unparalleled genius, becoming a great Universe Master among the Bug Race. Under her sister’s guidance and help, after countless eons, she too had become a Universe Venerable.
Endless time had nurtured an emotion that surpassed everything.
The bond between sisters transcended everything, transcended her very life. Her sister was the most important person in her existence.
"No!!!!!!!" The beautiful girl shrieked toward the heavens.
Her features immediately contorted, the fire of hatred burning wildly in her eyes. She spat out a hoarse voice filled with endless resentment: "Humans!!!"
"Humans, I want you dead! Dead! Dead!"
Faint blue light suddenly manifested in the space surrounding the beautiful girl, enveloping her, and in an instant, she was teleported away.
Only three minutes later.
Human territory.
An immensely towering Bug Race Mother Nest floated in space, surrounded by a massive swarm of Bug Race warriors.
"Go forth and kill."
"Kill every human."
Angry fluctuations emanated from the Bug Race Mother Nest.
"Oh."
"Roar~~~"
All manner of bizarre roars erupted. These powerful Bug Race warriors tore through the void, hurtling toward the distant life planets. The Bug Race Mother Nest instantly vanished via a shunyi (teleportation).
Shunyi!
Like lightning, it teleported tens of thousands of light-years away.
"Go kill, kill every human," the Bug Race Mother Nest continued to command, releasing wave after wave of Bug Race warriors.
This Bug Race Mother Nest was frantically teleporting, releasing huge numbers of Bug Race warriors every ten thousand light-years. Most of these warriors were Universe level, a few were Domain Lords, and very few were Sector Lords! There was not a single Immortal among them.
"Kill every human!"
"My children, go and kill!"
The Bug Race Mother Nest moved frantically, spewing forth endless waves of Bug Race warriors. For a Bug Race Mother Empress who was a Universe Venerable, creating billions of Universe-level warriors was not difficult, and a few Universe-level beings were more than enough to slaughter countless planets.
In the sixth minute of its rampage within Human territory, that hideous Bug Race Mother Nest hovered motionlessly in space; everything fell silent, and the massive contingent of Bug Race warriors surrounding it stopped moving.
Whoosh!
A figure strode out from the depths of space.
"Galaxy Lord!" A piercing, frantic voice echoed from the Bug Race Mother Nest.
Luo Feng walked slowly, shaking his head and sighing softly, "Why must it come to this?"
With a distant point of his finger.
Beep!
A stretch of distant void suddenly contracted violently and then expanded violently. Immediately, that entire section of space was annihilated, turning the original Bug Race Mother Nest and the surrounding host of Bug Race warriors into nothingness.
Luo Feng sighed because the area this Bug Race Universe Venerable Empress had infiltrated was within the territory of the Qian Wu Universe Country. As soon as he received the news from the Virtual Universe, he used God Nation Teleportation combined with shunyi to rush over. Because the Bug Race Mother Nest had been constantly teleporting and changing location, it took Luo Feng six minutes of its rampage in Human territory before he caught up.
"One act of revenge, one Universe Venerable falls. Is this hatred?" Luo Feng sighed softly, then took a step and vanished from that stretch of the starry sky.
The starry sky was tranquil, dark, as if nothing had happened.
The Galaxy Holy Land.
Palaces rose and fell here as Luo Feng returned.
"Lord," three Universe Venerables in front of him bowed with utmost respect. One of them, a tall Universe Venerable with green tentacles, reported, "We consecutively used shunyi to eradicate all the rampaging Bug Race warriors wherever they appeared. Many warriors were killed before they could even descend upon a planet. However… all the humans on 369 life planets are dead, and among these planets, 102 have had their very structure shattered."
Luo Feng nodded.
He couldn't help but sigh internally.
Over 300 life planets of humans—perhaps trillions of lives—gone in the blink of an eye. Although, for the entire Human Race, ordinary humans reproduced generation after generation, so the loss of this number wasn't catastrophic. But they were all living beings, and perhaps among them, geniuses might have been born, even beings like Rong Jun, or even someone like Luo Feng himself... Though the possibility was small, now, all of it was extinguished.
"So many come seeking revenge," Luo Feng thought silently. "And so many truly hate my Human Race."
In the past few months alone.
Since the major races in the coalition camp lost a large number of Universe Masters—some of these Masters belonged to peak races, but many more belonged to numerous other factions. Those powerful races usually only had one or two Universe Masters, who were their leaders; to the Universe Venerables of their race, they were like fathers, mothers, and teachers!
Some, unable to bear the hatred in their hearts, had attacked directly for retaliation.
Others, for the sake of their race, suppressed their hatred… they endured for the sake of their race.
"Fight the Human Race? How can we fight? How weak has our Northern Frontier Alliance become? Our Alliance Master abandoned us long ago. Now, our various races are weak and pathetic. All our Universe Masters combined… probably aren't enough for the Galaxy Lord alone to slaughter. Still fight?"
On an ordinary barren planet, avatars formed by divine power gathered here to converse.
They dared not bring their true bodies, fearing they would be wiped out entirely by the Humans.
"How can this deep hatred not be avenged?"
"The hatred is immense. My two brothers are dead. They accompanied me for countless eons, fighting alongside me to establish our race in this vast universe. Now they are both gone! They were my most important kin, my most crucial partners. I wish I could rush to the Human Race territory now and slaughter wantonly… but what is the result? If we attack vital locations like the Primal Secret Realm or the Galaxy Holy Land, we won't kill anyone; we'll just be throwing our lives away. If we only kill ordinary humans, the Human Race can reproduce a new generation in a few decades; it has no real impact. If we go… it’s only to vent momentary hatred. We must live, we must live for our race!"
"But, but I can't accept it, I can't accept it!"
"Look at races like the Quku Race; they have no Universe Masters left. They are all busy fleeing, busy securing their race; they are even more unwilling to accept this! But what can be done? When we were strong, the Human Race camp was already pressing us down. And now? Many smaller races are terrified and have withdrawn from the coalition camp. How many Universe Masters remain willing to persist in fighting the Humans? Especially the lone, supreme powerhouses—they all saw the situation turning sour and left our coalition camp. Among those who remain bold enough to persist… if the Human Race army launches an attack, just a sweep of the Will Impact alone would fell a large portion of them. How many would still be able to stand and fight the Humans?"
The surviving avatars of the Universe Masters in the Northern Frontier Alliance fell into silence.
It was sorrowful.
Numerous small races had left the coalition camp because they could not endure another loss.
The lone supreme powerhouses had also left, because there was no hope.
The remainder—the Bug Race, the Demon Race, the Machine Race, and others—which one dared to confront the Human Race again?
Which one dared?
"Even if hatred burns to the heavens, what of it?"
"Countless races hate the Humans, but it is inevitable… the entire Primal Universe will truly be dominated by the Human Race, and nothing will stop its advance, absolutely nothing!"
This is the second update; there will be a third.
