This is a crisis capable of extinguishing all races in the Sea of Cosmos... and even humanity itself. The City Lord of Time and Space watched the three Ancestral Gods disappear, then immediately said to Luo Feng, "Restoring Yuan Zu's freedom is certainly important, but compared to this great crisis, it is minor. You absolutely must not be influenced by it."
"There's more!"
"You are merely a Universe Master now, yet your combat strength is already this immense." The City Lord of Time and Space frowned. "Once you become a True God, your strength will certainly advance several more tiers. By then, dealing with the Boundary Beasts will be much easier, and you will have greater certainty!"
"But now, the Original Universe’s Will is inducing you, and the watermarked prompt is sending you to battle. Is it truly because... it desperately wants the Boundary Beasts annihilated? Or is it because it wishes to use the Boundary Beasts' hands to slay and destroy you?" The City Lord of Time and Space pondered, "After all, besides Giant Axe, none of us have truly clashed with the Boundary Beasts. As entities representing absolute destruction, their attack methods must be terrifying. Even if you possess avatars, if your soul is extinguished, all your avatars die together."
"If the Original Universe's Will truly intends for you to kill the Boundary Beasts, then so be it."
"But if it intends to use the Boundary Beasts to kill you, you must be exceedingly careful."
"This possibility cannot be ignored."
"After all, over endless eons, even if the Boundary Beasts proved truly unstoppable, the Original Universe would at most spontaneously self-destruct into its fundamental source. Once that period passes, it can still re-evolve into the Original Universe. The power of the Original Universe... we have never heard of anything that can fundamentally destroy it. If that is the case, why does it so desperately want the Boundary Beasts dead? Is it real? Or is it a trap?"
Luo Feng listened, nodding repeatedly.
At that moment.
The Boundary Beasts represented destruction, yet the Original Universe represented life. The Boundary Beasts would gestate every long period, but the Original Universe continually destroyed and regenerated, effectively never being truly extinguished. Perhaps even the Boundary Beasts could not truly destroy the Original Universe.
"I understand," Luo Feng nodded solemnly.
"After all, Yuan Zu has already been suppressed," the City Lord of Time and Space sighed. "If you were subsequently led astray and perished by the Will, though I am confident, I also know... in some aspects, I am inferior to both you and Yuan Zu."
Luo Feng was not in a hurry to head to the Dim Place. After all, according to the Will's public declaration, extermination must occur before the end of this Reincarnation Era.
Reincarnation Era?
What an immensely long unit of time that was. Luo Feng had not yet lived for ten million years. Compared to one Reincarnation Era, that was an insignificant span. Therefore, Luo Feng had ample time to prepare.
Simultaneously, Luo Feng was also preparing for the impending great sweep.
Over ten days passed.
In the Milky Way Galaxy, within the Milky Way Holy Land.
Youhai Luo Feng sat there, a nine-story pagoda suspended before him. Although he had completely grasped the third stage of the Wu God-Slaying Wings, as his secret technique level advanced, the Star Pagoda allowed Luo Feng to perceive even more profound secret arts. Naturally, he was researching and contemplating within it. Luo Feng also hoped that by grasping these numerous secret arts, he could stimulate progress along his 'Divine Body Path.'
On the Divine Body Path, the comprehension of life genes actually shared certain commonalities with secret arts, the Rhino Emperor Game, and so on; they would occasionally trigger mutual insights.
"Teacher?" Youhai Luo Feng suddenly paused, taking out a communication token.
"Luo Feng." A message was coming through—it was from Sitting Mountain Guest.
Youhai Luo Feng immediately became serious. Since the Fourth Desperate Land surfaced, Sitting Mountain Guest seemed to have vanished, as if unconcerned with these matters.
"Teacher," Luo Feng replied.
"Those three Ancestral Gods must have sought you out," Sitting Mountain Guest stated.
"Yes," Luo Feng replied, surprised.
"Hmph, besides finding you, who else could they find?" Sitting Mountain Guest responded. "But remember this: do not rush to the Dim Place. That is the lair of the Boundary Beasts, after all... and it contains a massive number of them. If you truly decide when you will deal with the Boundary Beasts, come see me before you go."
Luo Feng was deeply puzzled. "Go to your place, Teacher?"
"Just remember that!" Sitting Mountain Guest immediately severed the communication.
This left Luo Feng momentarily stunned.
"What's going on?" Luo Feng frowned in confusion.
In the past, Sitting Mountain Guest's temperament was relatively good, and he was extremely caring towards Luo Feng. But since the appearance of the Fourth Desperate Land, Sitting Mountain Guest had changed, failing to contact him even about these major world events. This sudden contact was only to issue that single instruction. Yet, Luo Feng could also sense that his teacher inwardly still cared for him.
"Teacher’s temper seems to have shifted somewhat..." Luo Feng mused internally. "Is it because of the Jin World?"
"The Nine Tribulations Secret Codex! The supreme technique of the Jin Clan, not to be passed outside."
"The Star Pagoda, moreover, should not be a treasure that a True God could create. I have long suspected Teacher has ties to the Jin Clan. And Teacher telling me to see him before fighting the Boundary Beasts..." Luo Feng frowned in thought. He wasn't foolish; he certainly sensed his Teacher's mystery, and it was likely that Sitting Mountain Guest held secrets of no small magnitude.
Luo Feng set everything else aside; the most important task he needed to prepare for now was... the Great Sweep!
In the blink of an eye, a year passed. Jin World, East Army Camp, Python River Military Post.
Luo Feng was inside a stone hut hall.
"Military Equipment Ring." A Military Equipment Ring adorned Luo Feng's wrist. As he channeled his divine power, the surrounding space-time shifted, and a golden figure materialized out of thin air.
"Lord Yinhe." The golden figure greeted him.
"Simulate every Law Master and True God you have screened and admitted into the Four Armies since the last time I investigated," Luo Feng commanded. Over this past year, he had investigated no less than six times, constantly monitoring the number and intelligence of powerhouses entering the Jin World from the United Army faction and the Purple Moon Holy Land.
"Yes," the golden figure responded respectfully.
Swish~
In the vast space-time, where previously there were only Luo Feng and the golden figure, numerous figures rapidly began to emerge. These figures stood perfectly aligned in formation, all standing stiffly, yet each exuded a palpable life aura. The Military Equipment World could simulate virtual life auras quite easily.
"Hmm..." Luo Feng surveyed the surroundings while carefully sensing with his divine power.
Some Universe Masters hadn't even altered their appearance, reasoning that the natives of the Jin World had never seen them anyway, so changing their looks held little meaning.
Thus, just by sight, Luo Feng could identify some targets.
"Keep the 61 of them, and let the rest dissipate," Luo Feng ordered, his divine power swiftly locking onto 61 specific Law Masters.
"Yes," the golden figure replied respectfully.
Instantly, the multitude of military figures dissolved into wisps, leaving behind only 61 Law Master soldiers.
"Display their entry time into the army," Luo Feng commanded. As soon as the order was given, precise chronological order appeared above each of the Law Masters.
"These 61 Law Masters arrived in batches."
Luo Feng nodded slightly. "They are divided into five batches, front to back. The last batch arrived two months ago. From two months ago until now, not a single one has joined the army..."
Over the past year, according to his investigation:
In the first month of the Third Epoch, his targets joining the army numbered only twelve. From the second month to the eighth month, there was a massive surge, reaching the highest numbers.
But as time progressed, the influx clearly slowed down later on.
Until the final two months, no new entrants arrived.
"Well, I estimate that the Purple Moon Holy Land and the United Army faction have also reached their entry limit," Luo Feng mused. "In the past year, a total of 110 Universe Masters from the Purple Moon Holy Land joined the army. As for the United Army faction, there are 166 Law Masters."
"Counting the previous batches."
"Adding them all up, the Purple Moon Holy Land currently has 205 surviving soldiers! The United Army faction has 238!" Luo Feng mused, nodding. "It seems the vast majority of the Purple Moon Holy Land's Universe Masters have fought their way in, and a large half of the United Army faction has also entered."
Both major factions clearly placed great importance on this, or perhaps every Universe Master harbored immense desire.
Considering those eliminated during screening, the sheer number of Universe Masters who entered must have been huge.
"Looking at the soldier count, the screening elimination rate wasn't high," Luo Feng nodded to himself. "It seems the death rate during the screening for Universe Masters in my Sea of Cosmos is lower than for the native inhabitants of the Jin World."
Luo Feng speculated.
It was likely that the various major powers acted in synchronized waves, and with each wave, they probably brought along certain treasures, perhaps even Supreme Godly Weapons.
After all, the Universe Masters who entered during the First and Second Epochs could exchange their Military Merit Points for their clan's Supreme Godly Weapons, maximizing their benefits. One must remember... many Supreme Godly Weapons in the Sea of Cosmos were Void True God-level treasures, and even some True God-level ones were very unique.
Reaching the Jin World could yield several True God-level treasures in exchange.
"It's time to make a move," Luo Feng took a deep breath, a murderous glint flashing in his eyes.
"Four Generals," Luo Feng directly contacted the four generals of the four legions through the Military Equipment World.
Moments later, four virtualized figures appeared near Luo Feng.
"Yinhe."
"Yinhe, what brings you to call on us? This is rare," the four generals, including Xue Yong, appeared. They had long regarded Luo Feng as the heir to the God-King, and they knew Luo Feng could borrow the power of the Jin World. They understood the extent of the God-King's favor toward Luo Feng, so they naturally addressed him respectfully.
"I need to eliminate a batch of Law Masters," Luo Feng stated plainly.
"Eliminate a batch?"
The four generals panicked slightly.
"How many? Tens of millions?" The generals were worried, as they also did not wish to slaughter too many soldiers wantonly; it would cause chaos.
Luo Feng chuckled. "Relax, fewer than five hundred."
"Fewer than five hundred?" The four generals laughed.
That small number of Law Masters... in any tribal conflict, the number of fallen Law Masters was countless. Fewer than five hundred... was not an issue worthy of their concern.
"The reason I ask for the four Generals' help is because these nearly five hundred soldiers are dispersed across the four armies," Luo Feng explained. "And I require them to be killed simultaneously in an instant... furthermore, it must be by soul-based attack, as they are scattered throughout the military camp, making simultaneous killing difficult. Thus, I must ask the four Generals to personally intervene, expand your miniature universes to envelop the entire camp, and simultaneously extinguish their souls, leaving none alive."
