Outside the Manghe River Army garrison, two soldiers were engaged in what appeared to be a casual chat by the lake. One was a grotesque figure with three faces and eight arms; the other was a standard, single-faced, two-armed soldier.
"Boom!" Suddenly, an intensely brilliant green radiance sliced across the sky high above, within which a faint trace of golden light could be discerned.
Dazzling, blinding.
Like a rainbow hanging across the firmament!
"It is Commander Guhou." The two soldiers exchanged glances, both showing a hint of joy.
"Cheng Mu succeeded. Commander Guhou has arrived at the Manghe River Army."
"Quickly report to the Progenitor."
The two soldiers communicated their thoughts telepathically.
The Sea of Universe, within the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe.
"You all continue to await news. Once Luo Feng's death is confirmed, report to me immediately," the Purple Moon Progenitor commanded, looking down from above.
"Yes."
Two Universe Masters below acknowledged the order.
The Purple Moon Progenitor allowed a rare smile to surface, saying, "Any Void True God who can command a special legion, especially one who creates an entirely new special legion, is no ordinary Void True God. Commander Guhou has been creating special legions for untold ages, and she has the legion's precious inheritance to aid her cultivation. Among Void True Gods, she is absolutely among the most elite! Moreover, her illusionary arts are renowned within the military camps. With her power, even I might not be her match."
"This top-tier Void True God skilled in illusionary arts must have a Will that has reached at least the Eternal True God level. She might even have achieved Will Sanctification."
"Once she acts, even a peak Law Master, no matter how heaven-defying, will be trapped in her illusions."
"And that Luo Feng is indeed an outsider, easily discovered. Once found... his soul will be annihilated, dead beyond doubt. Hahaha... Young Luo Feng, if you were ordinary, even if you were a True God, I wouldn't care. Who told you to inherit the lineage of Duan Donghe? You pose too great a threat to me. Blame your bad luck." The Purple Moon Progenitor smiled broadly. Seeing their Progenitor so pleased, the Universe Masters below understood that Luo Feng was near death.
The World of Jin.
The stream of light resembling a rainbow was stunningly beautiful in the void; this was, after all, the symbol of Commander Guhou.
"It is Commander Guhou."
"Commander Guhou has arrived."
At the intersection of the Law Master barracks and the 'True God barracks' within the Manghe River Army camp, two True God guards and four Law Master guards patrolling near the sparse cluster of palaces immediately recognized the identity of the rainbow stream of light in the high sky.
After all, the commanders of these special legions had lived for ages beyond count.
In the World of Jin, these commanders, save for the Generals and a few others, feared no one. Naturally, their temperaments varied: some were as low-key as ordinary soldiers, some were arrogant and brazen, some were savage and fierce, and others preferred to flaunt their status... In short, they were all different. These True Gods within the special legions, having spent long enough in the camp, were aware of the commanders' various dispositions. They dared not offend them, for the commanders' status was so high that even killing a guard would be of little consequence.
"Boom!"
The rainbow stream of light descended, revealing Commander Guhou herself, clad in incredibly radiant and dazzling attire. Commander Guhou's appearance possessed a deadly magic, and her tail feathers were exquisitely beautiful.
"Greetings, Commander."
"Greetings, Commander." The two True God guards bowed in unison.
"Huo Zhuowu!" Commander Guhou tilted her head naturally, sweeping a glance over the two True God guards before dismissing them. Even her own subordinates were often scolded casually, and any transgression resulted in military discipline.
"Guhou, why have you come to my place?" A voice echoed out.
Upon hearing this voice, Guhou walked directly toward a hall not far away, calling out first to notify the occupant—a sign of respect. Although Guhou was high and mighty, holding True Gods and Law Masters in disdain, she treated some Void True Gods who were also commanders of special legions with courtesy, unless there was a feud.
"Huo Zhuowu. Since I became a commander, in all these endless ages, you have only visited me twice. One time was to inform me that one of my soldiers was being punished, and the other was to congratulate me on taking command. What, has another one of my soldiers offended you, leading you to punish them and come to inform me? Haha, it’s just a soldier. If you punish one, you only need to inform me; there’s no need to come personally." The voice was soft.
This was a being clad in fire-red armor, appearing thin and tall, with flame patterns adorning all six of his ears. His eyes were like those of a cold, venomous scorpion.
"Casually punishing a soldier is a minor matter," Commander Guhou replied airily, unconcerned. "I have come this time for something important."
"Oh?" Huo Zhuowu looked over with cold eyes. "For us commanders, what could possibly be considered a major event?"
Their status was too high.
Even Void True Gods like the masters of the North True Sea or the masters of Jiuyan Marsh had to bow before them. After all, they belonged to the military, and being a commander of a special legion was not something any ordinary Void True God could achieve. With such status, they could walk sideways in the World of Jin; it was genuinely difficult for 'major events' to happen to them.
"Listen to me. I have a soldier under my command named Cheng Mu, who went to me..." Commander Guhou spoke casually, yet the matter she raised caused Huo Zhuowu's expression to change.
"An outsider lifeform?" Huo Zhuowu was shocked. "A long, long time ago, the World of Jin did have outsiders enter. But I hadn't been born then. In all the endless ages since, no outsider has entered. Could it be that there is another one... Do you have certainty about this?"
"I initially thought it absurd," Guhou sighed. "But one of my soldiers died to prove it. My subordinate knew the severity of the situation and, worried for the safety of my World of Jin, even sacrificed his life to draw my attention. While I still lack absolute certainty, I must come and investigate."
Huo Zhuowu nodded repeatedly.
This matter was extremely serious! With a soldier proving it through death, how could they ignore it?
"I have a soldier under my command named Yin He," Huo Zhuowu nodded, then closed his eyes. "I will check his location."
"Follow me." Huo Zhuowu immediately went out, and Guhou followed.
The islands of the Manghe River garrison—only one master per island. As a commander of the Manghe River Army, Huo Zhuowu could naturally trace which soldier corresponded to every island within the camp, swiftly locating the island Luo Feng had chosen previously.
On the island.
Luo Feng was relaxing leisurely on the roof of his stone house, a fruit wine from the World of Jin placed beside him, sipping it with great contentment.
While appearing content, Luo Feng's consciousness was primarily focused on his Demon Corpse clone, which was currently studying the 'Shi Wu Wings.' Because during the process of completing the Wu Qi Lou title mission, he had created the peak seventh-tier blade technique, 'Path of Nine Heavens,' Luo Feng believed he should be able to grasp the third level of the Shi Wu Wings.
"The first level is chaotic time and space, the second level is the golden kingdom. What about the third level? I truly look forward to it," Luo Feng mused inwardly.
Wu Qi Divine Power and the Shi Wu Wings are different.
The Shi Wu Wings are mainly supplementary! They do not directly enter... Moreover, the Wu Qi Divine Power and the Shi Wu Wings can be used simultaneously; while wearing the Wu Qi Divine Power, one only needs to carry the wings on their back! The Wu Qi Divine Power, the Golden Claw Divine Power, and others conflict with battle armor; wearing them means one cannot wear True God armor.
But there is no conflict with the Shi Wu Wings, nor with battle armor. Didn't Luo Feng previously wear Jie Armor while bearing the Shi Wu Wings?
"Hmm?" Just as Luo Feng was anticipating the Shi Wu Wings, he suddenly sensed two powerful fluctuations appearing above him, relying on his perception of the World Power of the World of Jin.
Luo Feng immediately looked up.
Boom! Boom!
Two figures instantly appeared in the high sky: one emitting colorful light, appearing incomparably noble; the other emitting endless flames, appearing infinitely wicked. As Luo Feng looked up, he saw those two pairs of eyes... Both pairs held an innate sense of superiority, and the captivating pair with pale green light subtly carried a trace of hatred.
"Rumble~~~" A powerful pressure instantly descended, and the surrounding space was instantly isolated, enveloped by endless void.
Luo Feng frowned slightly and thought to himself, "Nian Kong?"
"Two Void True Gods? Two Void True Gods appearing in the military camp—they must be commanders. Are they commanders of an ordinary legion or a special legion?" Luo Feng ran through various thoughts.
Ordinary soldiers all wore standardized armor, making their identities recognizable at a glance.
But these commanders held high status and dressed as they pleased. Since Luo Feng's status was low before and he had never met the Manghe River Army commanders, he naturally couldn't recognize them.
"Rumble~~~" The pressure intensified, and the two figures descended from the sky.
That powerful pressure caused Luo Feng's expression to shift slightly.
Fortunately, his Will was strong enough!
Otherwise, he might have been forced to kneel.
"Let's see what these two commanders want," Luo Feng thought. Status and strength dictated different mentalities. If it were a normal soldier of a special legion facing two descending commanders, they would naturally greet them respectfully, not daring to breathe heavily, as angering a commander could lead to death with no recourse.
Boom! Boom!
The two figures landed on the island and glanced from a distance at Luo Feng on the stone house. Luo Feng then leaped down from the roof.
"Hmph," Commander Guhou said coldly upon seeing this. "Huo Zhuowu, look, look at this soldier under your command—a mere Law Master soldier. Seeing two commanders arrive, yet he is so unrestrained!"
A normal soldier would immediately step forward to greet them with utmost respect.
Luo Feng's attitude clearly displeased Commander Guhou, who was accustomed to being superior.
But what was Luo Feng’s status now? In the entire World of Jin, he was absolutely supreme. Even the four Eternal True God Generals had to defer to him. His status was second only to the God King. How could Luo Feng possibly rush forward with excessive reverence?
"This soldier is indeed very unrestrained," Huo Zhuowu also felt displeased and shouted coldly, "Soldier Yin He, what is the proper conduct when seeing commanders? Have you forgotten?"
The voice exploded like thunder in Luo Feng's ears.
