Xiao Honglv froze upon hearing this, gently plucked a strand of hair from his forehead, and then said, "I've heard about Chu Xuan's past, and I didn't expect you to actually manage to slip past the 'Main God' and enter this horror movie cycle. However, judging by the timeline—the information you have and the method of entry—you must have been experimenting for quite some time, right? Why is it just you and one other person entering now? And who is the other one?"
Cheng Xiao replied, "Wang Renjia, also known as Wang Xia. He was a scout participant in the special forces squad trials. It seems that someone specializing in a specific field can only enter this horror movie once. At least, after Wang Xia suddenly vanished in his laboratory, the other scouts completely stopped showing activity. That's why we ended up relying on people with other specialties, like myself—I'm from the military medical field, hahahaha! But I never expected it would be me who showed up. Listening to your introductions, it seems you can freely choose people? Damn it, this is the ultimate fantasy for a man! What kind of person would be suitable? An over-the-top LOL girl in gorgeous silk stockings? Or a mature, alluring, flat-chested beauty? Or perhaps..."
The man’s expression shifted alarmingly fast. Just a moment ago, he was seriously discussing matters of real-world society, and then immediately he turned lewd, talking about how to manufacture women, even constantly spouting terms that Xiao Honglv barely grasped, such as "trap" and "yuri." In short, this man left him feeling utterly bewildered.
While speaking, as he lifted Zhao Yingkong up from the ground again, the man’s face suddenly darkened, and he murmured, "Is Wang Xia already dead?"
Xiao Honglv shook his head. "I don't know if a newcomer named Wang Xia has joined. What happened in the last horror movie was too complicated. In any case, let's return to the 'Main God' space first. If we really need to know Wang Xia's whereabouts, we’ll probably have to wait until Zheng Zha comes back. He was traveling with the newcomers in that single horror movie."
Cheng Xiao sighed. "Yes, let's go back to that 'Main God' space you mentioned first. It's just a pity about that person named Zheng Zha; his strength is incredible. Three or four of me combined wouldn't be his match, and his decisiveness is also top-notch. With him as the captain and you handling the strategy, a team like that would be truly formidable. Ah..."
As they spoke, the group slowly walked into the escape pod. The moment these few people entered, they vanished. In a state between sleep and wakefulness, they soon found themselves back in the "Main God" space. Immediately afterward, a voice transmitted from the "Main God" echoed simultaneously in all their minds. This voice stunned everyone into a daze, and it took a long time before they recovered.
On the other side, Zheng Zha, with a sweet mouth but a bitter heart, continued to run frantically with the original plot characters. As time relentlessly marched forward, everyone's tension mounted. Just then, the female protagonist, Allen, suddenly sank downward. She dropped right through a section of mesh steel flooring, beneath which was a blinding expanse of alien secretion—a sight so repulsive it made one's entire body numb just looking at it. The other plot characters stared blankly below until a loud shout from the burly Caucasian man galvanized them into continuing their run.
(The plot is starting. Once the heroine falls, one can see the Queen giving birth to the next evolved Alien form. This evolved form strikes and kills the Queen with one blow, instead mistaking the heroine for its mother, leading it to pursue her relentlessly until everyone has boarded the escape pod. Only then does the evolved Alien finally follow them into the escape pod. With that in mind, I don't need to worry about being caught up to at this rate.)
Zheng Zha finally breathed a secret sigh of relief. There were still about five minutes left, which was more than enough time for them to reach the escape pod. He no longer needed to worry about that aspect. His only remaining concern was the condition of Zhan Lan—had her mental power truly been completely exhausted? The warmth coming from Zhan Lan behind him was growing steadily cooler, her breath faint, her heartbeat almost imperceptible. All these signs pointed to one grim reality: Zhan Lan's life hung by a thread. "Run faster, everyone! Don't stop!" Zheng Zha roared, wishing he could just accelerate and blast forward, abandoning these plot characters entirely. But that was just a fleeting thought. Without their guidance, they would waste precious time, and perhaps even he would perish on this ship. So, after his shout, he could only continue running forward alongside them out of necessity.
The female robot suddenly announced, "Everyone, just keep running straight down this passage. The escape pod is at the very end of the tunnel ahead; we'll be there in no time. Hurry up and run!"
Zheng Zha blinked slightly, immediately letting out a curse. He was just about to circulate his internal energy to accelerate wildly when a fierce roar suddenly erupted from the passage behind him. The sound was so immense that everyone instinctively turned to look. Looking was a mistake—they were all utterly terrified. A massive humanoid monster, over five meters tall, was charging madly toward them. In its hand, it carried a mangled corpse that was little more than a mass of bloody flesh. Aside from a relatively intact skull, the entire body had been utterly pulverized. This corpse was none other than that of the heroine, Allen.
"Damn it, another plot change! 'Main God,' go to hell!" Zheng Zha cursed hastily. He dared not linger a moment longer. He engaged his Qigong technique to its maximum and shot forward wildly.
Simultaneously, the giant humanoid monster charged toward them with terrifying speed. This creature was astonishingly fast; its stride was easily three times that of a normal person, yet its rate of movement was much quicker than an ordinary person's run. In barely ten seconds, it had caught up to the last three men and one woman among the plot characters. Then, it swept its massive palm horizontally, smashing the three men running at the rear violently against the steel wall. The sheer power of that single strike caused the steel wall to deeply indent, looking as if it had been struck by a colossal sledgehammer. When it withdrew its hand, the three men were already pressed into a pulp, a smear of bloody mud dripping onto the floor.
The female robot, possessing some human emotion, immediately let out a loud scream. But after screaming for only a few seconds, the evolved Alien brought its foot down with crushing force from above. The steel floor beneath her also buckled inward. The robot made no sound; she was simply pressed into the steel and vanished.
"Aargh!"
The evolved Alien threw its head back and howled loudly, immediately turning to pursue Zheng Zha frantically. This truly terrified Zheng Zha. The man pushed himself forward with utter disregard for his own life. He had witnessed the destructive power of those last two strikes with his own eyes; the sheer force was too terrifying. Without the tongue attack or the tail stinger, this evolved Alien had gained terrifying brute strength. Compared to the power of the Alien in the original movie, the strength of this one before him was undoubtedly far more horrifying.
Zheng Zha was confident he could fight a standard Alien head-on because a single blow from it couldn't kill him in his current state, and if his attack landed solidly, the Alien would surely die. He even felt his chances of defeating the Queen were significantly higher now. However, he had absolutely no confidence fighting this evolved Alien form. Its terrifying power surpassed everything—it was instant injury upon contact and certain death upon a solid hit. Even for him, if that last sweeping blow had connected solidly, even if he hadn't been turned into meat paste, he wouldn't have been far from it. Therefore, the only thing left to do was run as far and as fast as possible! Run!
The evolved Alien shrieked loudly as it ran; the sound of its movement resembled that of a war chariot. Its speed even surpassed Zheng Zha's Qigong-enhanced pace. Unfortunately, its agility seemed lacking. At the sharp corners of the corridors, it frequently slammed violently into the steel walls. Zheng Zha, however, used the corners to launch himself forward by kicking off the wall, achieving astonishing bursts of speed. Furthermore, the constant delays caused by the mutated Alien navigating the turns maintained a distance of about twenty meters between them. Gradually, the evolved Alien grew increasingly impatient.
Zheng Zha keenly felt the terrifying sense of threat emanating from behind him. Since his strength had gradually grown, this sense of mortal danger had become increasingly faint. But now, this long-unfelt terror had returned and was closing in rapidly. In that instant, he felt as if Death himself were chasing him, the scythe capable of reaping souls slowly extending toward the back of his head, ready to snatch his life the moment he paused.
"Damn it, faster! Faster! I can't die here!"
Zheng Zha howled maniacally, pushing his Qigong to its absolute limit. He had also unlocked his Gene Lock to the third stage. He frantically simulated the high-speed footwork known by Zhao Yingkong, using Qigong combined with advanced footwork to propel himself forward. As he rounded the final corner, a vast, straight thoroughfare finally appeared before his eyes. At the far end of this grand avenue was the open entrance to the escape pod!
This avenue spanned several hundred meters. Zheng Zha paid no mind to the distance; he lengthened his stride and bolted toward the far end, running relentlessly forward. Behind him, a tremendous crash sounded again—the mutated Alien had slammed headlong into a steel wall. After it clawed its way out, it resumed its furious pursuit of Zheng Zha. Its speed was now significantly greater than Zheng Zha’s running speed, and this avenue was perfectly straight. In this final stretch, the distance between them was rapidly shrinking.
(Don't die, don't die! The three of us must get back alive!)
Zheng Zha frantically considered his options. If he jumped away the moment he was struck, the blow might not be fatal, but the point of impact would certainly be a mess. Of course, if he were more ruthless, he could use the girl in front or behind him as a shield, perfectly utilizing that crushing force...
Zheng Zha gritted his teeth tightly, silently calculating the distance to the mutated Alien behind him. The gap was constantly closing. At this moment, Zheng Zha was still fifty meters from the escape pod, while the distance between him and the monster was only a little over four meters, and this gap was still shrinking.
"I'm going all in!"
Zheng Zha, currently operating under the third stage of his Gene Lock, suddenly adopted an expression of detached calm. Chu Xuan's razor-sharp thinking was precisely what he needed now. Utilizing the instinctive calculation ability granted by the unlocked Gene Lock, he adjusted his angle and position, then leaped diagonally.
The evolved Alien’s massive palm struck out just as he moved, slamming hard against Zheng Zha's right flank. Because Zheng Zha leaped diagonally backward, he managed to deflect some of the palm's force. Even so, Zheng Zha felt an immense power slam into him, violently flinging him toward the distant escape pod. He was lifted into the air, flying straight across the gap. Amidst the Alien’s enraged shrieks, his vision went dark as he tumbled into the escape pod. From there, he watched the giant humanoid monster charge toward the entrance, before he slipped into that state between sleep and wakefulness.
"The final installment of the Alien series concludes. Maximum difficulty achieved. Reward points granted: 5000. One B-rank side mission completed. The Alien series movies will not reappear."
This was the last voice Zheng Zha heard before his entire body went limp and he collapsed unconscious.
