(I was so foolish, he was clearly already... but I still was.) Zhan Lan's mind was a complete mess. Several times, she almost turned back to the medical bay, but each time the thought of Zheng Zha's face spurred her forward with renewed determination. Finally, when she recalled how Zheng Zha had kissed her in the last horror movie to save her life, the small woman finally burst into tears. Clutching the metal shard, she gazed into the distance, her eyes vacant, only to see two colossal humanoid life forms approaching at an incredible speed.
Zhan Lan gritted her teeth fiercely, channeling her mental energy down her arm and into the metal shard. Instantly, her consciousness expanded outward. In almost no time at all, she could feel the flickering spiritual flames of the two entities. Following the shard’s guidance, she forcefully tugged at the weaker of the two spiritual flames. It was a bizarre sensation; she could still control and inhabit her own body, yet it felt as if she possessed a second shell. This contradictory feeling was utterly indescribable, but she could only follow this sensation to gain control over the other body.
The two Evolved Xenomorphs were advancing rapidly. The one in the lead spotted Zhan Lan first and seemed to become agitated, accelerating its rush toward her. Just then, the Evolved Xenomorph behind it slammed a massive palm into its back. With a dull, heavy thud, the leading Xenomorph was violently hurled into a clearing beside the corridor, the sheer force of the blow staggering.
The force was so immense that the Evolved Xenomorph was embedded deep into the steel wall. This single strike startled Zhan Lan; the power was overwhelming. If that blow had struck a human, they would have been instantly pulverized, flesh and bone ripped apart. What shocked her even more was the sight of the other Evolved Xenomorph effortlessly pulling itself free from the steel wall. It, too, charged forward at breakneck speed, slamming the Xenomorph Zhan Lan was controlling into the wall. With a sharp crack, a massive section of steel wall, covering over ten square meters, was completely ripped away. This level of power was simply astonishing. (Plot Divergence!) Zhan Lan quickly registered those four words. Just like the ghostly entities in Ju-On, when the "Main God" implemented a plot change, the entire storyline would shift dramatically.
It even granted certain creatures powers they lacked in the original film—like the Evolved Xenomorphs before her. Although they were missing their tail and tongue attacks, Their terrifying physical strength alone was more than sufficient. It was the ultimate example of brute force conquering all skill. She didn't doubt for a second that not just one Zheng Zha, but even five of him, would be instantly killed by a single solid blow from these towering monsters.
Was this what they called 'coincidence making the story'? Compared to their overwhelming physical might, their spiritual energy was pitifully weak. Zhan Lan felt the steel beneath her feet tremble constantly. Both Evolved Xenomorphs possessed terrifying offensive power, yet neither seemed capable of inflicting lasting damage on the other. Complementing their massive strength was their near-immortal resilience; even when smashed into steel bulkheads, they quickly recovered and tore themselves free to continue fighting. In the span of these few moments, the metal shard could no longer bear the load and shattered completely.
One of the attacking Xenomorphs immediately ceased its assault. It glanced strangely at Zhan Lan, then let out a loud roar directed at her. (This won't work. Controlling just one, I can never kill them. What if...?) Zhan Lan fiercely clenched her jaw. She violently forced her mental energy into the remaining two shards, instantly seizing control of both Evolved Xenomorphs, one in front of her and one behind. The moment she controlled both, her vision blurred, and she nearly passed out. Only by biting down hard on her lip and desperately holding on did she prevent the two Xenomorphs from instantly breaking free of her mental restraints.
Zhan Lan bit her lip until it bled freely. She commanded the two controlled Xenomorphs to each rip free a section of steel bar and, with the sharpest ends pointed inward, thrust them toward each other’s heads. The resistance from the two creatures intensified violently. Between life and death, humans were not the only ones who feared demise; these Evolved Xenomorphs, possessing human genes, clearly shared that terror. They howled incessantly, and their spiritual resistance grew fiercer. Finally, the two shards in Zhan Lan’s hands pulverized simultaneously, leaving only metal dust in her palm. The two Xenomorphs had already driven the steel bars into the very centers of each other’s skulls. The two colossal humanoid corpses flopped over, their fall echoing with a heavy crash like falling elephants. The corridor was now a complete ruin; hardly any steel remained flat or intact, and much of it had been torn away in massive sheets. This level of destruction was truly staggering.
(Then, take care of yourself. I won't be able to stay with you anymore.) Zhan Lan’s vision swam. She felt her mental energy completely depleted, as if she were floating in a void. She slipped quietly into unconsciousness. "Surgery complete." In the medical bay, the man finally spoke the words Zheng Zha had been waiting for. When he saw Lolita being brought out of the isolation unit, the little girl was still sleeping soundly, looking as if she hadn't noticed the perilous battle raging outside. Her delicate and cute appearance prompted Zheng Zha to lean down and plant a light kiss on her forehead before turning to the man. "Thank you. I owe you one. Rest assured, my companions will safely bring your wife to the escape pod!" Zheng Zha said this slowly. He was about to say more, but the man interrupted him. The man murmured, "It's fair trade. A life for a life. Now, please give me a pistol and one bullet. You should hurry; the entire ship will detonate in about twenty minutes, and a warning will sound ten minutes before that. Go quickly." Zheng Zha held Lolita close, simultaneously retrieving several strong medical bandages from his ring space. He wrapped Lolita and himself together, layer upon layer, until everything was secured. Only then did he take out the submachine gun and a magazine of bullets. He quietly placed the weapon on the table and walked toward the exit of the treatment room. The moment he stepped out, a gunshot echoed from within. Zheng Zha’s heart sank slightly, but he dared not linger. He clutched Lolita and began sprinting away. After covering only a hundred meters, he stopped dead in his tracks, staring in shock at the horrific scene before him: the two gigantic humanoid monsters and Zhan Lan lying near the edge of the open area.
Zheng Zha rushed to help her up, only to find her body ice-cold, her breathing faint, and her pulse almost nonexistent—a state bordering on death. Yet, Zheng Zha could find no visible wounds on her. "You won't die. None of us will die. Zhan Lan, we will all survive!" Looking at the metal powder in her hand, combined with the image of the two giant monsters with steel rods aimed at each other's heads, Zheng Zha could figure out what method Zhan Lan had used. It must have been mental control, forcing the two monsters to destroy each other. The strain of controlling both creatures simultaneously would lead to fatal overexertion of her mental power. A pang of sorrow hit Zheng Zha. He knew Zhan Lan had left the treatment room alone to buy him time. These two giant humanoid monsters must be the Evolved Xenomorphs. Judging by the terrifying battle scene, even he would have faced certain death against them, yet Zhan Lan had managed to kill both. Zheng Zha had no time for sentiment; he quickly used the strong bandages to secure Zhan Lan to his back, fulfilling his promise to let her ride on his back as they fought their way back to the "Main God" space! "Let's go! We're going back alive, together!" Zheng Zha activated his Qinggong, beginning to run frantically forward. His speed was incredible, yet he faced a major obstacle: he was unfamiliar with the terrain, and the person who knew it, Zhan Lan, was unconscious. Therefore, he had no choice but to run upward desperately. No fancy maneuvers—if he saw stairs, he climbed them; if he saw an elevator, he entered it without hesitation. After moving upward for a long time, he unexpectedly encountered five figures: two women and three men. He recognized their faces—they were not his companions, but the plot characters from the film! One of them was the female lead who possessed Xenomorph blood. These five stared at him strangely. A completely naked man, carrying two unconscious girls bound front and back, would naturally elicit a bizarre reaction from anyone. Thus, all five simultaneously raised their weapons toward him. The tall female lead from the film angrily approached, gripping a steel bar. Zheng Zha, surprisingly, felt a wave of relief. He murmured, "Don't tell me you don't know this ship is about to explode? Relax, my clothes were lost due to an unforeseen situation, and these two girls are very close to me. How about we leave this ship together and head to the escape pods?" The female lead, however, ignored him and focused intently on Lolita's chest, which was clearly freshly operated on. Only then did she speak coldly, "The Queen has been removed? Then this is the fourth Queen." Jump to
