Luo Feng’s face showed utter shock, his body involuntarily swaying.
“Luo Feng, what is it?” City Lord Chaos immediately noticed something amiss with Luo Feng.
“The Demon Slaughter Clone I sent in to scout has perished,” Luo Feng stated directly, while a sense of dread churned within him. It was terrifying. Even for dangerous locations like the Cosmic Boat or the Qingfeng Boundary, where environmental threats prevented thorough investigation, there would at least be a ‘vacuum’ in the probed area, indicating danger.
But now, as his domain spread out, everything was perfectly scannable. And in that state, he had been killed! Even the Ultimate Palace Supreme Treasure was silently shattered! Even if the energy from the ‘Origin’ within the Shi Wu Wings struck to cleave the Ultimate Palace Supreme Treasure, it would require a forceful impact; it certainly couldn’t achieve such silence.
“Perished? How did it perish?” City Lord Chaos pressed urgently.
“It must have been the wind,” Luo Feng replied.
“Must have been?” City Lord Chaos was astonished.
“Because I didn’t see it, didn’t detect it at all,” Luo Feng shook his head. “My domain-type Supreme Treasures were functioning normally; everything was detectable. And then that wind just materialized. My Ultimate Palace Supreme Treasure was instantly shattered, and my divine body was crushed just as fast. The Demon Slaughter Clone died just like that. There wasn’t even time to resist or struggle.”
City Lord Chaos was stunned. Even the Ultimate Palace Supreme Treasure couldn't withstand it? Did that mean anyone who went in would die?
Unless they dared to challenge it with an Ultimate Supreme Treasure.
Eight Universe Masters from the Hong Alliance had gone to scout. Luo Feng, entering through the fissure in the ‘Colossus’s’ mouth, was the fastest and thus the first to fall.
The day after the Demon Slaughter Luo Feng perished, another Universe Master was lost.
On the fourth day, two more Universe Masters fell consecutively.
On the fifth day, yet another Universe Master perished.
Within ten days of Demon Slaughter Luo Feng’s death, the other seven Universe Master clones from the Hong Alliance were all annihilated; not a single one survived. This casualty rate chilled every Universe Master in the Hong Alliance; surely even the other three Great Absolute Dead Zones weren't this terrifying.
“The Galaxy Lord encountered an undetectable wind—a wind that appeared from nowhere. As soon as it appeared, the Galaxy Lord’s Ultimate Palace Supreme Treasure disintegrated into dust. And the Snow Crane Master encountered fire—fire that materialized out of thin air. That fire instantly annihilated the Snow Crane Master’s top-tier palace treasure as well. And the other Universe Masters…” In the main hall of the Tomb Ship, as the last Universe Master sent to scout also perished, the Universe Masters of the Hong Alliance engaged in heated discussion.
All eight were gone.
Whether it was wind, fire, or mist...
Seven of them were instantly annihilated, completely incapable of resistance. Only one encountered an endless, overwhelming ‘stream of water.’ As the stream appeared, it instantly solidified the surrounding space, preventing any teleportation escape. As for the stream itself, it easily corroded the top-tier palace treasure, killing the Universe Master inside.
“Everyone,” City Lord Chaos spoke up.
The hall immediately fell silent, with nearly 200 Universe Masters looking towards him.
“According to the information I’ve received, it’s not just our Hong Alliance. Every other faction that sent members in to explore has descended into an endless abyss,” City Lord Chaos announced. “Once inside, they found no other environment, only the endless abyss. And within that abyss, they were killed directly by fire, wind, or other elements that materialized out of nowhere. Forget top-tier treasures; even palace treasures refined from Ultimate Supreme Treasure materials were destroyed within.”
“Palaces of Ultimate Supreme Treasure materials?” A collective gasp rose.
“Just received this news,” City Lord Chaos continued. “The races from the First Reincarnation Era sent an Ultimate Supreme Treasure palace in to scout, only to encounter flames that instantly incinerated it. It couldn’t even resist for a single moment.”
Everyone was aghast. Luo Feng sighed at the sight, as he had been equally shocked when he first learned of it—an Ultimate Supreme Treasure palace destroyed?
One had to remember... even some mechanisms inside the Tomb Ship capable of killing powerful beings hiding in Ultimate Supreme Treasure palaces couldn't destroy the treasure itself. Yet, the terrifying abyss within this Colossus had destroyed one.
“If even the Ultimate Supreme Treasure palaces can’t stop it, what can we do?”
“This is even scarier than the Three Great Absolute Dead Zones.”
“Every single one perished, not one survived. The death rate is higher than in the Three Great Absolute Dead Zones.”
Chaos erupted.
City Lord Chaos’s expression suddenly shifted, and he roared loudly, “Everyone!”
Luo Feng looked at his teacher in surprise, and all the powerhouses in the hall turned to look.
“Just received news that several factions from the First Reincarnation Era had experts enter the natural wormhole within the endless abyss,” City Lord Chaos explained. Luo Feng’s eyes lit up. He had discovered that natural wormhole very early during his scouting trip, but he hadn't dared to venture inside, choosing instead to continue exploring.
It seemed the First Reincarnation Era forces were more desperate, even risking the natural wormhole. And their results must have been poor, otherwise, they wouldn't have disclosed this information publicly.
“What’s on the other side of the natural wormhole?” the Snow Crane Master called out.
Apart from Luo Feng, the other seven Universe Masters had also spotted that ‘natural wormhole.’ No matter whether they entered through the ears, nostrils, or mouth fissures, they would eventually reach the endless abyss and pass that massive natural wormhole.
“Enter the natural wormhole!” City Lord Chaos instructed. “It directly teleports you to a hidden place filled with chaotic energy flows. In that area rests a seemingly ordinary miniature universe.”
“A miniature universe?”
“A miniature universe?”
Everyone was stunned, Luo Feng included.
The natural wormhole inside the Colossus actually led to a space containing a miniature universe?
“It’s confirmed! The secret space accessed via the natural wormhole should still be within the humanoid creature’s body,” City Lord Chaos continued. “Furthermore, experts from several factions of the First Reincarnation Era have been trying every means possible to scout that miniature universe. They sent in mechanical puppets, utilized other methods, and even entered personally, only to be instantly turned to ash upon touching the membrane wall of that miniature universe.”
“Ah.”
“The miniature universe membrane wall is that potent?”
“How is that possible?”
Everyone in the Tomb Ship hall was shocked. Even Luo Feng found it inconceivable, as the membrane of a universe generally possessed no offensive capability. When Universe Masters used their own ‘miniature universes’ to fight, they would kill the enemy after they entered, leveraging the inherent power of the miniature universe. Being killed merely by touching the wall was utterly unbelievable.
Perished! Perished! Perished! Perished! Perished! Perished!
Every faction in the Cosmic Sea, no matter how they explored, met only annihilation, without exception. This absolute fatality rate terrified all the powers.
They needed at least a sliver of hope, a tiny bit of reassurance. But not even a thread of life was offered. Who wouldn't grow anxious?
Just as all the powers in the Cosmic Sea stood around the Colossus in anxious helplessness, a piece of news spread: the Three Great Ancestral Gods of the Primal Universe Ancestral God Sect had summoned all factions in the Cosmic Sea to convey an edict from the Primal Will of the Primal Universe.
“What, the three Ancestral Gods?”
“The Ancestral Gods within the Primal Universe never leave the Primal Universe!”
“An edict from the Primal Will?”
A massive stir erupted. The Ancestral Gods, who never ventured into the Cosmic Sea, were here, intending to transmit a command from the Primal Universe’s core will. Regardless of the message, every major power in the Cosmic Sea paid heed. Coupled with the setbacks everyone had suffered exploring the ‘Colossus,’ all factions immediately converged toward the source...
The Tomb Ship quickly made its way over.
“An edict from the Primal Universe’s core will?” Luo Feng frowned. “The three Ancestral Gods are entering the Cosmic Sea for the first time for this?”
“There must be a purpose,” City Lord Chaos said gravely.
When he had killed Star Master Haolei, the latter managed to use a power completely opposite to ‘divine power,’ which had made Luo Feng extremely wary. At that time, he understood that the Cosmic Sea held secrets he didn't know.
“This Colossus is one of those unknown secrets,” Luo Feng thought, eager to hear what the three Ancestral Gods had to say.
Boom!
Palace treasures and Supreme Treasures arrived, the Tomb Ship among them.
Millions of light-years away from the Colossus’s head, three white-robed figures stood side by side in the void. Their robes faintly shimmered with prismatic light, and an overwhelmingly powerful, irresistible pressure emanated from them, spreading across the surroundings.
Outside the radius of the three white-robed figures floated numerous palace treasures, followed by masses of experts.
Luo Feng and the others stepped out of the Tomb Ship’s hatch, standing in the void and gazing at the three white-robed figures in the distance. Luo Feng couldn't help but sigh, “Such immense pressure.” He felt that the space spanning hundreds of light-years around them was governed by these three Ancestral Gods; their aura far surpassed that of any Universe Master.
“At this moment, they are the spokesmen for the Primal Universe’s core will,” City Lord Chaos transmitted via voice. “Their pressure is also bestowed upon them by the Primal Will of the Primal Universe.”
“Let’s see what they have to say,” Luo Feng focused his gaze.
The Human race held no affinity for the Primal Universe’s core will, primarily because the Primal Ancestor was suppressed by it.
As time passed, more and more experts gathered.
The most dazzling presence in this area was naturally the three Ancestral Gods.
“The factions of the Three Great Reincarnation Eras, the Two Great Absolute Dead Zones, and all major powers have arrived,” stated the central Ancestral God, the oldest among the three, his face lined with age. “Then we shall begin. The reason the three of us have entered the Cosmic Sea this time is upon the command of the Primal Universe’s core will, specifically concerning this Colossus.”
As he spoke, he pointed toward the massive, supine humanoid creature beside him.
“Upon entering, you all discovered a natural wormhole, leading to a space. Within that space lies a miniature universe. That miniature universe is called the ‘Realm of Jin’!” the aged Ancestral God declared. “It is also the only place within the entire body of this Colossus where you can enter alive.”
