To venture through the River of Circling Waters, one could suffer setbacks even when utilizing top-tier Palace Treasures if they became too arrogant or careless. But to cause a top-tier Palace Treasure to instantly shatter and a Lord of the Universe to perish immediately—what level of terrifying danger would that require? The River of Circling Waters was fundamentally incapable of harboring danger of that magnitude.
“I shall go and see for myself,” the First True Lord transmitted a message to the other four True Lords before setting off alone toward the River of Circling Waters.
Only three days passed.
“Hmm?”
The First True Lord stood amidst the chaotic currents, frowning as he gazed ahead. A vast quantity of water was scattered sparsely, dispersed across distant points. As for the numerous islands that once filled the River of Circling Waters, not a single one could be found.
The entire River of Circling Waters had been destroyed? This immediately sent a massive shock through the First True Lord’s heart. He was acutely aware of the terrifying might contained within the natural environment of the Cosmic Sea. To destroy the entire River of Circling Waters—even if every expert from the entire Cosmic Sea joined forces, it would be impossible to wipe out one danger zone.
“What does this feel like…” The First True Lord furrowed his brow. “It seems as though the River of Circling Waters was struck head-on by an incomparably powerful force. That’s why the ‘river’ water splashed out and dispersed into various regions… As for those river islands, they’ve been completely pulverized into oblivion.”
The First True Lord’s heart trembled.
Simultaneously, a monstrous tidal wave surged within his heart! Despite the trembling, he was intensely exhilarated.
“Opportunity!”
“Opportunity!” the First True Lord roared internally. Regardless of what caused this scene, it involved an existence beyond comprehension, absolutely brimming with immense opportunity. “My limit is fast approaching. This unknown opportunity… is likely our clan’s sole chance to transcend reincarnation.” Whoosh—
A massive halo suddenly manifested behind his head. Within the halo, a giant, single eye seemed to have grown from flesh and blood. The eye illuminated the endless void ahead, as if seeing everything. Within this giant eye, the faint silhouette of an unimaginably colossal entity was seen violently colliding with the River of Circling Waters, causing its collapse!
“An existence terrifying by a factor of millions compared to the River of Circling Waters.”
“Even I cannot reverse time and space to clearly see its appearance. Even combining my talent and secret techniques, I can only confirm that the terrifying existence flew from this direction, impacted, and headed toward that direction!” The First True Lord nodded secretly. “Chase!”
Swish!
He immediately executed a super-long-distance teleportation toward the confirmed trajectory.
In truth, the wreckage of the River of Circling Waters could fully indicate the flying direction of the “colossal entity.” However, for pinpoint accuracy, sufficient time was required. The First True Lord, known as the “Divine Eye True Lord,” excelled at observation and calculation, instantly and clearly determining everything.
Several days later.
“Boom!!!” The colossal entity continued its astonishing speed, surging through the Cosmic Sea.
“This!”
The First True Lord was utterly aghast. He had exerted his utmost and barely managed to “see” that the colossal entity was actually a reclining, humanoid creature, approximately 1.6 billion light-years tall, moving at a speed of about 120 million times the speed of light. Only by focusing all of the First True Lord’s capability into a single “Divine Eye” could such an accurate assessment be made.
The Beast Ancestor, who had been following closely, had failed to confirm the exact speed.
“First True Lord! I discovered it first,” the Beast Ancestor roared via sound transmission in fury.
“Hahahaha, you? You think you can monopolize this grand opportunity?” The First True Lord scoffed dismissively. What was the Beast Ancestor? He didn't even possess a single supreme treasure, whereas the First True Lord had two.
“No, I don’t demand sole possession. Since you discovered it, we shall possess this opportunity together. But I absolutely forbid the other four True Lords of your Divine Eye Clan from coming,” the Beast Ancestor shouted angrily. “If any of your Divine Eye True Lords dare to approach, I will immediately disseminate this information, letting the entire Cosmic Sea know!”
“You!” The First True Lord was furious.
This was bound to be a heaven-defying opportunity; borrowing strength from it, transcendence of reincarnation might even be possible.
The First True Lord certainly wanted to bring two members of his clan to assist, but the Beast Ancestor’s “threat” could not be ignored! After all, the Beast Ancestor’s incarnation was stationed in the Primal Universe, and dissemination could certainly occur within a short time.
“Fine!” the First True Lord conceded. “We shall monopolize this opportunity together.”
Thus, the First True Lord and the Beast Ancestor began desperately trying to make the colossal entity stop. After all, at such terrifying speeds, the two dared not approach… because at that speed, the surrounding spacetime had already turned into absolute nothingness; approaching it was only possible by ‘flying.’
Even the sporadic shockwaves radiating outwards were enough to injure them.
If they dared to get closer… they risked being shaken to death.
More importantly, their own flying speed wasn't even enough to keep pace; the colossal entity would vanish into the distance before they caught up.
“Block!”
“Block it!”
“Change its direction.”
The First True Lord and the Beast Ancestor were like two tiny ants, desperately trying to halt a flying mountain. It was naturally an act of “overestimating their own capabilities.”
Time flowed by.
In a blink, over three thousand years passed. The forces tracking this “colossal entity” had grown to seven factions; the Divine Eye Clan and the Beast Ancestor were merely two among them. By this time, whether it was the Beast Ancestor, the First True Lord, or the subsequent five factions that joined, despair was beginning to set in.
“Boom!” The colossal entity instantly rushed past, vanishing from the sight of the eight powerhouses.
“It’s useless; we can’t stop it no matter what,” the First True Lord sighed, shaking his head. “We have exerted our utmost, and yet it has already smashed through three danger zones, but its speed has barely changed.”
Clearly, those danger zones could not affect it at all. For it to slow down, only two possibilities existed.”
“One is that, following its current flight path, it crashes into the Primal Universe and enters within. Given the might of the Primal Universe, it could easily suppress it.”
“The second is the Three Great Desperate Lands! Any one of the Three Great Desperate Lands has a high probability of stopping something of its magnitude,” the First True Lord stated. “Gentlemen, what do you think?”
The assembled powerhouses exchanged glances.
It was helpless.
They could indeed cause the “colossal entity” to deviate slightly and impact some danger zones, but crashing into them was futile. If it struck one of the Three Great Desperate Lands, the assembled experts of those territories would certainly be notified! If it crashed into the Primal Universe, once trapped inside, their Cosmic Sea factions would have no claim whatsoever.
“Disclose it.”
“In any case, if it strikes the Three Great Desperate Lands, the major powers will have to know. Moreover, to alter the colossal entity’s trajectory enough to strike any one of the Three Great Desperate Lands requires a considerable course correction. We alone are not enough.”
“Disclose it.”
They all agreed reluctantly. They had also hoped to hoard this opportunity.
But the opportunity was too vast… they simply couldn't swallow it whole.
“It must absolutely not be allowed to crash into the Primal Universe,” the First True Lord mused internally. If it entered the Primal Universe, his Divine Eye Clan would lose its chance.
“It must be diverted,” roared the Hengxing Demon God, who was part of the fifth faction to join the pursuit. “If its direction isn’t altered and it crashes toward the Primal Universe… it might affect our Miniature Universes. Though Miniature Universes are vast, their resistance capabilities probably fall short of the River of Circling Waters. One impact, and they will certainly be shattered.”
Everyone present nodded in agreement.
Indeed.
The Cosmic Boat, the Apex, and the Heavy Mountain River were all considered indestructible. However, a “Miniature Universe” was merely the creation of a True God. Although large in volume and impervious to other True Gods, what about beings surpassing True Gods? The impact force of that colossal entity had surpassed the level of a True God by an unknown magnitude. Destroying a Miniature Universe would be easy, but if the impact force were sufficient, it could cause the “origin” of the Miniature Universe to collapse, leading to the entire universe breaking apart.
Capable of easily crushing the River of Circling Waters…
Crushing Miniature Universes would naturally be child’s play.
The news spread, shaking the entire Cosmic Sea!
The “Cosmic Boat,” one of the Three Great Desperate Lands.
“Teacher, you say a colossal entity has been discovered in the Cosmic Sea, flying at 120 million times the speed of light, and it’s about 160 million light-years tall? And it’s a reclining, humanoid creature?” Luo Feng blinked. “Teacher, which lunatic fabricated this lie? A hundred times the speed of light is the limit in the Cosmic Sea. Even the strongest Universe Masters can only fly at speeds of a hundred thousand or a million times the speed of light at best. 120 million times the speed of light? And a humanoid creature slightly larger than the Cosmic Boat?”
“Don’t ask so many questions. This wasn't reported by one expert, but by many, including several of the strongest Universe Masters,” City Lord Chaosheng instructed. “Hurry and leave the Cosmic Boat, meet up with us first.”
“Understood. But it will take me 200 years to exit the Cosmic Boat,” Luo Feng replied. “I’ll return now.”
After concluding the communication with his teacher, Luo Feng muttered softly, “What nonsense are they playing at?”
“A colossal entity comparable to the Cosmic Boat, the Heavy Mountain River, and the Apex? And a reclining humanoid creature?” Just imagining it made Luo Feng’s heart burn. “Truth or fiction, I’ll know once I see it.”
“Go!”
The Tomb-Mourning Boat instantly changed direction amidst the endless black tempest, revealing its most basic form without any concealment, flying towards the exterior of the Cosmic Boat at its top speed.
After flying for over two hundred years, he finally exited the Cosmic Boat.
“Luo Feng, hurry over here, we are here.” The Human Alliance action team sent Luo Feng coordinates via the virtual universe.
“Coming,” Luo Feng immediately rushed over.
The coordinates were constantly shifting.
It was clear the Human Alliance action team was also tracking the colossal entity. Indeed, over these past two hundred years, as various factions converged, Luo Feng no longer doubted the authenticity of this colossal entity. Although he had seen some virtualized images through the virtual universe, a vague, blurry figure offered no true sense of shock; one needed to witness it personally.
Swish! Swish! Clash!
Luo Feng executed successive teleports and finally caught up with the Human Alliance action team.
“Luo Feng.”
“Luo Feng.”
“Galaxy Lord.”
“Galaxy Lord.”
A massive contingent of over 180 Universe Masters, personally led by City Lord Chaosheng, were gathered here. It wasn't just the Human faction; a large contingent of experts from the allied forces had also arrived. Both sides clearly had a tacit understanding; at this critical juncture, the two major factions had temporarily called a truce.
“Luo Feng,” City Lord Chaosheng said. “Currently, the three major powers and two holy lands of the Cosmic Sea—those gathered here number 68 strongest Universe Masters and over 3,200 Universe Masters. It can be said that every major power sent their strongest elite forces.”
“That many?”
Luo Feng was only briefly astonished by the numbers. But then, the entire Human Alliance action team teleported collectively.
“This is truly…” Luo Feng stood in the void of the Cosmic Sea, looking out. He saw countless dense figures scattered in the distance, thousands of silhouettes, each being at least a Universe Master. It truly inspired profound shock.
Immediately afterward, Luo Feng turned his gaze toward the distance. The teleportation had been executed ahead of the colossal entity’s predicted path.
“It’s coming.”
“It’s coming.”
Although they could not see it, everyone sensed the vibrations transmitted by the invisible shockwaves reaching them.
Then came the “Boom”—an incredibly terrifying shockwave truly radiated outward. Following this, a colossal entity, transforming into a dazzling beam of light, whistled past. Even Luo Feng instantly felt the infinite terror of a massive mountain crashing down upon a tiny ant. Looking at the immense, majestic reclining humanoid creature, he and the other Cosmic Sea experts felt as fragile as a swarm of small insects.
“Too, too—” Luo Feng’s eyes were wide open, completely stunned.
