The distribution patterns of the myriad miniature universes followed a distinct rule: the "younger" the miniature universe, the closer it lay to the Primal Universe. Those belonging to figures like the City Lord of Chaos, the Primal Ancestor, or the Insectoid Empress were all situated near the very core. Miniatures from the Second Reincarnation Era were further out, those from the First Reincarnation Era were even more remote, and the two Great Holy Lands' universes were truly distant beyond measure!
"This is the eighteenth miniature universe I've investigated," Luo Feng murmured, gazing at the endless, towering miniature universe before him. His silver ten wings were fully unfurled behind him, yet they registered no discernible summons whatsoever.
"Nothing again!"
Luo Feng shook his head.
Fortunately, he had taken a precaution earlier: temporarily separating one pair of wings, canceling their recognition, and sending that 'unrecognized pair of wings' into the Primal Universe via his Golden Horned Beast avatar. Luo Feng himself remained outside the Primal Universe... and even across a million light-years, the connection remained crystal clear.
Clearly, not even the universe itself could obstruct this form of sensing.
"If the universe cannot impede the signal of a communication token, it certainly won't obstruct the sensing of the Winged Armor of Wu," Luo Feng turned his gaze toward another direction, where the Primal Universe loomed in the distance, vast enough to seem to eclipse half the sea of the universe. "The other miniature universes are even farther away. I should return for now."
Swish!
Luo Feng vanished in a flash of teleportation.
The Primal Universe, Human Territory, the Primal Secret Realm.
The Endless Nether Sea appeared remarkably calm, barely showing any waves. Yet, given its immense scale, even negligible ripples stood tens or hundreds of kilometers high. A silver-armored man walked lightly across the water, smiling as he called out into the void, "Teacher."
"You're back so quickly," the City Lord of Chaos materialized out of thin air.
"Teacher," Luo Feng said with a slight grin. "You once said that since your disciple did not possess an ultimate supreme treasure armor, he could not accept the congratulatory gift. Thus, your disciple has returned again to offer a gift."
As he spoke, a Star Pagoda appeared beside him, and its side door immediately ejected the Haolei Armor.
"You mean...?" The City Lord of Chaos started, having caught the implication in Luo Feng’s words.
"Your disciple now possesses an ultimate supreme treasure armor," Luo Feng smiled. He channeled a slight burst of divine power through the silver armor, and an ancient, immensely powerful aura permeated the space. This aura was actually slightly stronger than that emanating from the Yan Jun Rod or the Black Prison Tower, because the silver armor was an integrated part of the Winged Armor of Wu.
This aura was, naturally, the presence of the newly merged Winged Armor of Wu.
This was merely a partial projection of its power. If unleashed fully... it would be terrifyingly spectacular. However, since they were within the domain of the Endless Nether Sea, the surrounding aura pressure was confined to a limited radius, thus preventing any disturbance to the powerful beings outside the sea.
"This armor?" Sensing the intense pressure, the City Lord of Chaos no longer doubted, but was instead even more shocked. "This... where did you get this?"
In the sea of the universe, ultimate supreme treasures were scarce, and every known one was accounted for. For a new one to emerge from one of the three great perilous zones? Even if it did, it should appear in the core region, and Luo Feng had never ventured there.
"Teacher, there's no need to ask," Luo Feng grinned. "With this armor on me, you have no reason to refuse, right?"
The City Lord of Chaos looked at Luo Feng, sensing the genuine ardor in his disciple, and finally nodded. "Very well. With such dedication, I must accept it. However... our Human Race is more stable now than before. Even with tensions high, it's only friction between the two major factions. From now on, do not be so quick to hand over treasures you earned through your own efforts. After all... you fought for them! Even if you had an opportunity, good luck doesn't last forever."
Luo Feng nodded.
Indeed.
Even with strength, acquiring an ultimate supreme treasure was incredibly difficult. Every known piece was claimed, and hunting down a Universe Supreme Being to seize their treasure... while one might defeat one, killing one was exceedingly hard. This armor wasn't a newly acquired item, but merely an extension forged from the Winged Armor of Wu itself.
"Teacher, I have other matters to attend to, so I must leave now," Luo Feng stated immediately.
"Go on," the City Lord of Chaos nodded, watching Luo Feng depart.
The City Lord of Chaos stared at the Haolei Armor floating before him, exuding that ancient aura, and sighed inwardly. When this disciple was in the Primal Universe, his talents were outstanding but within expected bounds—a rare genius for the Human Race, certainly. But after entering the sea of the universe... this disciple truly began to shine with astonishing brilliance.
Especially after receiving the inheritance from the Duan Dong River lineage, his radiance only intensified, to the point where even the City Lord of Chaos had to admit... the most vital figure for the Human Race now was Luo Feng!
"It feels just like when the Primal Ancestor led the race to rise,"
"His rise might even be more dazzling than the Primal Ancestor's," the City Lord of Chaos murmured softly. "Our Human Race... is truly about to produce a peerless existence."
Boom!
Luo Feng shot out through the membrane wall of the Primal Universe. "Time to find the next miniature universe!"
Luo Feng had just traversed the entire Primal Universe. Circumnavigating the 'Primal Universe' in the vast sea of the universe would take an eternity, but traversing it internally via 'Divine Kingdom Teleportation' allowed for swift travel. "Where is the last pair of wings!"
"Could it be in the other two great perilous zones?" Luo Feng muttered to himself.
The three perilous zones were each about a hundred million light-years across.
As long as he approached any one of them, if the final pair of wings were inside, he would sense it. Now that he confirmed the 'Qing Feng Realm' was empty, Luo Feng wasn't in a rush to visit the more distant perilous zones; he would check all the miniature universes first.
Time flowed on.
He zipped through one miniature universe after another, and in the blink of an eye, over two years passed.
Boom!
A silver-armored figure appeared amidst the chaotic currents of energy, grinding his teeth. "I have scouted every single miniature universe from the three Reincarnation Eras, and none of them possess it! Now... it must be in the Universe Boat, the Flowing Heavy Mountain, or one of the two Holy Land Universes!"
"I refuse to believe you can escape me."
After searching for so long, Luo Feng was becoming frustrated. After all, the pool of possible locations was finite, and all previous leads had failed.
"The closest one to me now is the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe," Luo Feng immediately set a course for it.
It took him nine days navigating the sea of the universe.
"Purple Moon Holy Land," Luo Feng stood in the void, surrounded by swirling chaotic energy. Before him loomed an impossibly massive entity: the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe. It was far larger than any miniature universe he had previously checked. The miniature universes of the First Reincarnation Era were uniformly a hundred million light-years in diameter; the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe boasted a diameter of 2.1 billion light-years.
"Time to investigate," Luo Feng instantly teleported closer.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
He teleported several times outside the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe. Luo Feng wasn't sure of the maximum sensing range of 'five pairs of wings,' so he planned to check from multiple vantage points. But just as he approached—still a hundred million light-years away from the perimeter—
Luo Feng froze instantly, as if paralyzed, then slowly turned his head to look behind him.
His silver ten wings were fully extended, vibrating slightly.
Faint but distinct summoning pulses were emanating from the direction of the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe.
"A summons!!!" Luo Feng jolted, his eyes flashing bright as he fixed his gaze on the colossal Purple Moon Holy Land Universe before him. "The sixth pair of wings is inside the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe!"
Yearning flooded him.
Luo Feng was tempted to just blast his way in, but he wasn't foolish.
"Damn it all!" Luo Feng cursed through gritted teeth. It had been eons since he uttered an obscenity, but he couldn't help it now.
"Why is it in the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe?"
"How could this be?"
"There are so many miniature universes in the entire sea of the universe. For the miniatures belonging to other Universe Supremes, I had a chance to acquire them. Even if it were in the East Emperor Holy Land... I could scheme a way. But the Purple Moon Holy Land!" Luo Feng fumed. The Purple Moon Holy Land was utterly hostile to him; they had even used other factions within the Primal Universe to suppress the development of the Human Race, and they had never offered him any negotiation.
And he had just killed the Lord of Pei Xing and seized two pairs of wings!
"Strange. If the Lord of Pei Xing had two pairs, did he not discover the last pair?" Luo Feng frowned. He realized that the summoning range for two pairs was far less than five pairs—only tens of light-years. The Purple Moon Holy Land, spanning 2.1 billion light-years in diameter and containing countless independent spatial planes, must house the final pair hidden within one of those spaces. The Lord of Pei Xing had simply never visited that specific space.
"Whatever the reason."
"The final pair of wings is confirmed to be within the Holy Land Universe," Luo Feng mused. "And over these long ages, this pair has never left. Thus, two possibilities exist: one, some weaker entity—an Immortal or Universe Master—who isn't qualified to leave the Holy Land Universe obtained them. Or two, they are tucked away in some powerful being's treasure vault as a mere keepsake."
In any case, no treasure matching the description of the final pair of wings had ever surfaced in the sea of the universe. A single pair only possessed the power of an ordinary supreme treasure. Universe Masters disdained treasures of that level.
"This is a major headache now."
Luo Feng felt helpless. He set off toward the Universe Boat; it was time to claim Jiefanzi's treasure hoard. Simultaneously, he contacted the City Lord of Chaos through the Virtual Universe: "Teacher, my Winged Armor treasure is missing its final component—the last pair of wings! And I already know... the final pair is within the Purple Moon Holy Land! I cannot handle this alone. Is there any way the Hong Alliance can help me acquire those wings? After all, a single pair is only at the level of an ordinary supreme treasure. The Purple Moon Holy Land probably doesn't realize its true value yet."
"The last pair of wings?" The City Lord of Chaos frowned too. "The Purple Moon Holy Land... that is indeed troublesome. Alright, leave it to me. Our Hong Alliance has many powerhouses; perhaps we can succeed. But since that pair has never left their Holy Land... the chances aren't high."
"Low chances are better than no chances," Luo Feng replied. "I have no way to proceed on my own. Teacher, I am heading to the Universe Boat now. I leave this trouble for you to worry about, haha."
"Go on. You've visited Jiefanzi's hoard several times already," the City Lord of Chaos noted.
Entrusting the matter to the Hong Alliance, Luo Feng put it out of his mind and focused entirely on heading deep into the Universe Boat to claim the Jiefanzi treasure.
