Before Gu Han could speak, a voice drifted over from a distance, laced with mockery: "An explanation? Accountability? What explanation? How can we account for it? Even if the dead cannot rest in peace, so what?"

"Who? Get out here!" Jun Moxie's face instantly darkened with fury!

Gu Han roared in anger, "Who is playing tricks and hiding in the shadows? Show yourself!" With a sweeping cry that cut through the air, shua, hundreds of figures landed simultaneously on the ground outside the tent.

Leading the pair were two men: one clad in white with a golden crown, his face lean, his eyes glittering with golden light, gazing down at the group within the tent with undisguised disdain. This gaze was almost a provocative stare directed straight at Jun Moxie’s face!

With a flicker of movement, everyone felt a blur before their eyes—Jun Moxie had already stepped out of the tent.

Jun Moxie’s entire being exuded an aura of terrifying, ultimate tyranny. He glared at the newcomers, realizing that since his rebirth in this world, he had never unleashed his killing intent so completely, a full-blown explosion of razor-sharp aggression!

At that moment, whether they were inside or outside the tent, whether they were from the Three Great Sacred Lands or the Evil Monarch’s Mansion, everyone clearly sensed Jun Moxie’s resolve to destroy anything in his path!

He was like the Death God incarnate! The King of the Underworld descended! Every gesture, every glance, even the slightest twitch of his eyebrow, was saturated with a chilling, surging death energy!

Gu Han felt a wave of cold air shoot up his spine. He hurried forward, stepping out to stand before Jun Moxie.

In his current state, even he, a Saint Sovereign expert, sensed an indescribable, immense danger emanating from Jun Moxie! It was the terrifying sensation of his very soul and life being mortally threatened!

Gu Han had a feeling: in his current state, Jun Moxie needed only one dissenting word to blast a colossal hole right through the heavens; as for the common folk and the ten thousand places of the mortal world… they wouldn't even register in his sight!

All he demanded was an explanation, accountability!

Concepts like "the greater good first" or "prioritizing the overall situation" were utterly irrelevant to the Monarch of Evil at this moment!

One wrong word would lead to slaughter! Nothing but slaughter!

"Was that you speaking just now?" Jun Moxie smiled faintly, his long eyebrows rising, his eyes blazing with thunderous divine light as he fixed it upon the two newcomers. "An explanation? What explanation? Accountability? How to account? Even if they truly die with eyes wide open, so what? Who said that sentence?!"

Gu Han was almost stamping his feet in agitation!

These damned fools! They vanish when they should act, yet appear when they shouldn't, showing up at the precise moment they ought to be absent, and uttering words that even Gu Han himself found unforgivable nonsense!

These two were the other two Saint Sovereign experts of the Celestial Saint Palace.

Thunder Saint Sovereign Xia Changtian, and Thunderbolt Saint Sovereign Ji Bowen.

These two had been guarding the Heaven-Seizing Battlefield for over three thousand years!

Their cultivation base was only slightly beneath that of Gu Han, a Third Level Saint Sovereign.

Looking around the present world, surveying the entire Profound Profound Continent, they were truly among the pinnacle masters!

However, both possessed extremely radical personalities and were fiercely protective of their own—a direct result of their self-righteous natures. They were deemed unsuitable for leading the Celestial Saint Palace or serving as Sacred Land leaders, so Gu Han had arranged for them to guard the Heaven-Seizing post for refinement and advancement.

It had to be admitted, Gu Han’s arrangement served them perfectly; the weaknesses in their personalities were actually complementary when dealing with the alien races on the Heaven-Seizing Battlefield. Over three millennia, countless alien races had retreated in defeat at their hands!

For the Profound Profound Continent, these two could absolutely be called great heroes and meritorious officials, genuinely deserving of the title!

Given their cultivation levels, and the relatively short distance between them, how could they have been oblivious to such a fierce battle raging nearby? This was why Gu Han knew, as soon as Jun Moxie mentioned it, that the root of the matter lay with these two!

The reason was simple enough: they had always looked down upon the fighting prowess of the Heavenly Punishment Fiend Territory! They viewed the participation of the Profound Beasts, representing the Profound Profound Continent in the Heaven-Seizing War, as the greatest disgrace to all humanity! How could the safety of humankind rely on a pack of savage beasts to protect them? Even if they won, it would be a massive humiliation… Humanity protected by mere beasts… The mere thought was an egregious shame!

Originally, Gu Han had been calculating that it was better if they stayed hidden; he would merely ensure their contributions were recognized in future battles, slowly mitigating the negative impact.

But he never expected them to suddenly appear here!

With their arrival, both sides faced each other, taut and ready for battle—leaving no room for retreat!

The wrong time, the wrong place, and the wrong people uttering the wrong words.

The only possible outcome would be an utterly disastrous one!

"It was this old man! What of it?" Thunder Saint Sovereign Xia Changtian stepped forward, regarding Jun Moxie with a mocking look. "Kid, judging by your appearance, you should be human. Not a transformed Profound Beast, are you?"

Jun Moxie looked at Xia Changtian, his gaze chilling, and spoke slowly: "In my life, the ones I hate the most have never been my enemies! If they are enemies, then everything they do, no matter how despicable, shameless, vile, or dirty, is expected! I will only kill them; I will not hate them." His answer completely skirted the question, deviating wildly! Yet, everyone present sensed the chilling depth in his words.

"I know you resent us for not intervening. I also know what you resent," Xia Changtian's eyes flashed with anger, but he suppressed it. "You mean to say: you hate people like us who stand idly by the most? But do you know why I stood aside? Everything has a reason!" Jun Moxie let out a cold chuckle, "No matter the reason, it all amounts to the same thing."

"Nonsense!" Xia Changtian snorted coldly. "If not for the great war looming, based on that single sentence, I would have struck you down right here!" Jun Moxie laughed loudly, then the laughter abruptly ceased. He roared, "Even with the great enemy before us, I will strike you down first!" Xia Changtian’s pupils contracted violently, his gaze like sharp needles fixed on Jun Moxie. After a long silence, he said heavily, "You call yourself human! Yet you possess no sense of what it means to be human! Do you know the difference between a Profound Beast and a person?"

Jun Moxie slowly closed his eyes, treating the words as if unheard. Spiritual energy coursed vibrantly within him as he prepared to calibrate his entire strength to its peak. This man before him possessed unfathomable power! His current cultivation was still inferior to Xia Changtian's. But no matter what, this man was destined to die today!

He must die!

Xia Changtian was nearly bursting with rage! If Gu Han hadn't been frantically signaling him, he would have already erupted. This young Monarch of Evil was too utterly lawless! What was his status that he would condescend to explain himself to this brat? It was already giving him immense face!

And yet, he actually closed his eyes!

If he could tolerate this, what could he not tolerate?

"When the continent first began, Profound Beasts were merely mounts for us humans!" Xia Changtian said grimly. "Tens of thousands of years have passed, and these mere beasts have actually transformed into human shapes and brazenly participate in the Heaven-Seizing War! This is nothing short of a gigantic joke!"

Jun Moxie remained motionless, eyes closed, meditating.

"We humans are the spirits of all creation. How can mere Profound Beasts be placed on the same level as us?"

"And now, you openly proclaim these beasts as your brothers! Have you… abandoned the pride of being human, willingly turning into a Profound Beast?" Xia Changtian slowly questioned. "In life, one must always remember not to forget that one's ancestors were human!"

Mei Xueyan and the others’ eyes were spitting fire; they could barely restrain themselves. The Tiger King and Bear King were about to charge out and fight, but He Chongxiao held them firmly! Everything was in the hands of their brother-in-law; they would watch how he handled it.

Jun Moxie finally opened his eyes slowly: "Are you finished speaking?"

Xia Changtian said coldly, "What do you intend to do?"

"If you are done speaking, let’s fight then," Jun Moxie said lightly. He flicked his eyelids open, and two rays of gaze, like lightning striking, shot out, sweeping over the three hundred-plus people before him, utterly devoid of mercy: "I wonder how many others still insist on withholding aid? If you have the guts, take a step forward! Let me see."

"Arrogant!" Xia Changtian roared in furious disbelief. "Jun Moxie, you are courting death!"

Gu Han hurriedly stood between them, his face creased like a bitter melon, waving his hands repeatedly: "With the great enemy at the door, all of you need to say less. Sigh, in such a precarious situation, must we still slaughter each other?"

"I do not wish to slaughter my own kind! It is this Evil Monarch you invited who pushes matters too far!" Xia Changtian said coldly. "Old Gu, I require an explanation regarding this matter!"

"An explanation?" Gu Han nearly choked, suddenly roaring, "You still demand an explanation from me? While the allied forces were fighting tooth and nail, what were you doing? Why didn't you come to support them? Now, when others criticize you, not only do you not acknowledge your fault or repent, you actually demand an explanation from me? What explanation?"

"Mere Profound Beasts are not worth saving! It's just a pointless waste of military strength," Xia Changtian stated with icy composure. "Even without them, we have held back the alien race for ten thousand years! However, they are still useful as cannon fodder to consume the enemy’s strength."

"You!" Gu Han trembled with rage! "This is the critical moment for the entire continent's survival, and you still harbor such narrow-minded views! If this battle is lost, it will mean widespread slaughter! Xia Changtian, you… you disappoint me too much! Eight Great Saint Venerables… Five thousand Saint and Saint Emperor warriors… just lost just like that… you… you…"

"This battle will not be lost!" Xia Changtian scoffed. "I have fought the alien race for over three thousand years; do I not know them? In three thousand years, how many times have they ever managed to cross Pillar Mountain under my watch?"

"But Pillar Mountain is gone now!" Gu Han roared. "Can you face reality for once? What good is constantly being so arrogant?"

"Stop—!!" A loud shout interrupted the argument!

Both Gu Han and Xia Changtian were stunned! They had not expected anyone to dare interrupt their exchange!

This loud shout had come from Jun Moxie’s own mouth. As they watched him in astonishment, Jun Moxie gave a chilling smile: "I have no interest in listening to your debate! Now, who else still insists on not rendering aid, step forward automatically! I do not wish to mistakenly kill good men!"
