Chapter 21: The Strongest Advent (3246290) . ()(Remember me; on a life planet within the Human Territory.
A stooped, green-skinned elder with tentacles stood on a street in a bustling city, facing a listless young man.
“Child, you are so young, so full of vitality, with an infinite future ahead. Why are you so decadent, with no will to fight?” the stooped, green-skinned elder rasped. The decadent youth sat on the ground, leaning against the wall, his eyes filled with sorrow. He shook his head. “There is no hope, absolutely none. I tried to fight, I really did, but they are too powerful. In this city, even if they aren’t the strongest, they are far beyond what an ordinary person like me can resist. They constantly toy with me, mock me. The only reason they don’t kill me is because they treat me as a plaything!”
“Life is full of miracles,” the stooped, green-skinned elder croaked. “Nothing is ever permanent. The universe is mysterious and unfathomable; anything can happen.”
“Is that so?” The decadent youth glanced at the green-skinned elder, then lowered his head to drink again.
“Yes, anything can happen.”
The green-skinned elder smiled and nodded.
The decadent youth stiffened slightly, sitting there frozen, clutching his bottle.
The smile on the stooped elder’s face grew broader. After only five seconds, the decadent youth snapped awake.
His eyes were sharp, his aura completely transformed. He swept his surroundings with extreme vigilance, but upon seeing the ordinary alley and the stooped elder before him, he paused, a look of disbelief crossing his face. “I, I, I… How did I return to a hundred thousand years ago? I am already a Realm Lord, how could I—this is an illusion. It can’t possibly be such a real illusion, but, but…”
“Child,” the stooped elder spoke.
“You, you are…” The decadent youth stared at the stooped elder. “Are you the elder who guided me back then?”
“‘Back then’? Didn’t that just happen?” the stooped elder chuckled, then vanished into thin air.
The decadent youth was stunned for a long time.
“Domain!” The decadent youth looked around. With a slight mental push, even though his mental power was minuscule, under the guidance of a will comparable to a Realm Lord, a faint flame domain instantly formed.
“It’s real, everything is real. My entire cultivation journey to become a Realm Lord—it was all real? But why return to my most painful moment? Traveling through time back to the past? No—” The decadent youth was already different; he now possessed the heart of a powerhouse.
“Even if time reversed, it could not transport me to the past. That means I experienced an illusion. But, what kind of illusion allows one to live within it for a hundred thousand years? To become a Realm Lord? And to comprehend fragments of the Laws?” The decadent youth stared with wide-eyed horror, even shouting around him, “Senior! Senior! Senior…”
But there was no figure.
The decadent youth shook his head. “What a pity, I missed a massive opportunity! If I could have stayed beside that senior, becoming an Immortal would have been effortless. This is too incredible… However, the benefits I gained are not small. Hmph… those bastards, I killed you all in the illusion. This time, I will plunge you into despair once more!” With that, the decadent youth left the alley.
“Heh heh heh…”
The stooped, tentacled elder remained standing in place, watching the decadent youth depart, and let out a laugh.
From start to finish, the stooped elder hadn't moved at all. It was just that, if he wanted the decadent youth to see him, he would be seen; if he wanted to remain unseen, he would remain so.
“Buzz~~~”
A powerful will pierced through endless time and space, suddenly descending upon the planet, descending upon this very alley.
The surrounding space subtly distorted.
An oval black sphere materialized in the alley, emitting a voice: “Stone, you are hailed as a Demon God! Even the Universe Masters fear you when they see you. Yet, you take the mood to help that little fellow.”
“If I want to kill, I kill. If I want to save, I save. If I occasionally bestow grace, I grant it! If that little fellow had been kneeling in the alley begging me just now, begging to see me… I would have killed him instantly.” The stooped elder turned to look at the black sphere. “Machine, this is the Human Territory. What business do you have sending your will here?”
“I have business,” the oval black sphere hovered mid-air, the surrounding void unstable, faintly visible. “I request you kill a little fellow.”
“Is he very strong?” the stooped elder inquired.
“The Human, Luo Feng!” the oval black sphere replied.
“Luo Feng?” The stooped elder nodded. “I know that little guy. Since returning from the Universe Sea, his news has spread the most fiercely. No wonder you came over. Your Machine Race, along with the Bug Race and Demon Race, probably all want him dead. Tell me, where is he now?”
“Ancestral God Cult, Purple Thorn Island!” the oval black sphere stated.
“Ancestral God Cult!!!”
The stooped elder lost all previous composure. His eyes flared, and black light subtly shimmered. “Machine, I don’t care about that Giant Axe. I can help you kill that little guy. But he is in the core territory of the Ancestral God Cult… You are asking me to trespass into their core area and kill one of their inheritors. I hear the Ancestral God Cult has even bestowed treasures upon him, clearly valuing this Luo Feng highly.”
“I helped you once in the past; consider this repayment,” the voice came from the distant black sphere.
“I owe you one.”
The stooped elder rasped, “Fine, I agree. Tell me his detailed profile.”
“Top-tier Universe Overlord strength. His divine body is estimated to be comparable to a rare special life form, and he possesses the ability of a talent clone. Simply annihilating one of his divine bodies is useless. His soul must be permeated… to ensure all divine bodies perish. Or, soul control! Although soul control is obviously much harder,” the black sphere explained. “Stone, you became the strongest being in the universe through the Illusion Path! If you had failed… no powerhouse in the entire Original Universe could have achieved it.”
“Good, I'll leave now. I know you are getting impatient,” the stooped elder said.
“Then I await your good news,” replied the oval black sphere.
Whoosh!
The two vanished simultaneously, one following the other. The surrounding space trembled slightly before completely returning to normal. The ordinary humans in this city noticed absolutely nothing.
Ancestral God Secret Realm, the void outside the Five-Colored Aurora Lake.
An alien life form, entirely black, stood in the void, enveloped by swirling black currents that obscured his body, leaving only a pair of dim, dark eyes vaguely visible.
“Human Luo Feng?”
“Being able to cause a Universe Master to request another Universe Master to strike you down—you should be proud.”
Purple Thorn Island.
Luo Feng’s residence was styled after classic Jiangnan gardens, complete with small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and towers. Luo Feng sat at a table by the waterside, sipping fine wine and contemplating the ‘Beast God Path.’ He deeply enjoyed this peaceful life of dedicated cultivation, yet Luo Feng was also keenly aware that his apparent safety within the Ancestral God Cult was temporary.
The longer time stretched, the more anxious the Bug Race, Demon Race, and Machine Race would become! After all, watching him grow continuously was something those three peak races could hardly tolerate.
They would certainly scheme to make a move.
Since he possessed the talent for cloning, if an attack only annihilated one of his physical bodies, it wouldn't achieve their desired result. Therefore, any strike would surely target his soul, or involve soul penetration to cause his complete demise, similar to how the Master of Mo Ancestral Star died.
Or, it would be soul control.
With his true Earthling body exposed on the surface, Luo Feng dared not be careless.
He always carried the soul supreme treasure, the ‘Tower Bead,’ and wore the peak supreme treasure, the ‘Jie Armor,’ which also possessed the ability to weaken soul attacks. Most importantly, while ordinary fragile soul-type supreme treasures might shatter under certain soul assaults, the ‘Tower Bead’ was a control core of the Star Tower, the token of recognition for its master. It would not break even under attacks from Ultimate Supreme Treasures. Although its defensive power was only at the ‘ordinary supreme treasure’ level, it was absolutely trustworthy.
“Tower Bead, Jie Armor, combined with my inherent Universe Master-level will and consciousness,” Luo Feng mused inwardly.
A powerful divine body and limitless divine power bestowed upon him a formidable consciousness! (Universe Master level!)
Repeated tempering, transformations through life-and-death inheritance, and one hundred and eighty million years of secluded cultivation had elevated his will to the Universe Master level!
With these safeguards, Luo Feng felt much more confident!
“Hmm?” Luo Feng, sitting with his wine cup pondering the Beast God Path, suddenly looked up at the sky. He vaguely sensed something was amiss.
He looked up!
Beneath the Five-Colored Aurora Lake that shrouded the high altitude, a figure wreathed in endless black currents had just appeared. Concealed by the currents, only a pair of eyes could be vaguely seen. What kind of eyes were those! Just the sight of them sent a tremor through Luo Feng; not good!
That tremor emanating from his very soul instantly made Luo Feng understand—this feeling of powerlessness was something he had only experienced when facing Starry Sky Ancestors or Guest-in-Seat.
“It’s a Universe Master!” Luo Feng realized immediately.
Whoosh!
An invisible attack descended!
Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!! Boom!!!
One hundred meters above Luo Feng, a massive rift suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
No, it wasn’t a rift.
It was the collision of two domains of space-time!
Where the figure cloaked in black currents stood, the surrounding space-time was completely controlled; the laws governing the universe in that region had receded, everything completely controlled by that figure enveloped in black currents. Similarly, the space-time beneath was also controlled. One above, one below—the two domains of space-time were colliding precisely one hundred meters above Luo Feng.
More terrifying than a planetary collision!
Two invisible fields of space-time clashed. Two powerful wills controlled their respective domains… As the space-time collided, rifts momentarily manifested.
“What!” Luo Feng was stunned. His strength far surpassed that of a top-tier Universe Overlord, allowing him to contend with Universe Masters. His will and consciousness were also extremely strong, so he instantly judged that there was another Universe Master present in the lower space-time!
“Two Universe Masters?”
“Fighting each other?” Luo Feng froze.
Swish swish swish~~~~
The Five-Colored Aurora Lake at the very top of the sky truly erupted into chaos. This was the first time Luo Feng had seen the lake so violent. The boundless five-colored light seemed like a heavenly lake instantaneously collapsing, rumbling—endless aurora rushed downward, surging towards the black mist figure below.
The black mist figure remained motionless but let out an angry roar: “Ancestral God, are you trying to obstruct me?”
“Void True Demon God, this is the domain of my Ancestral God Cult!” a deep, resonant voice sounded.
Chapter Three concluded! It’s very late; two updates tomorrow will definitely be in the evening. RH
