The seven Death Specters were cast as if poured from liquid steel, robust and imbued with raw power and beauty.

Each Death Specter lacked any breath of life, yet moved faster than lightning, possessing astonishing strength. With every surge, they could draw upon the surrounding Yin energy of heaven and earth, causing their own power to surge, unleashing devastation of an even greater magnitude.

Those seven Death Specters seemed to guard something; the area behind them was a churning blackness, emitting waves of incredibly dense Yin energy. Faintly, tremors that seemed capable of shattering souls radiated from within, piercing the very core and instilling a profound sense of unease. Di Shan, Yu Rou, and Yi Tianmo, along with the other three leaders of the alien races, possessed souls cultivated to the Divine Realm (Tong Shen Jing). Although their physical strength lagged, their commanding spiritual power alone was enough to face most creatures without fear.

However, against these soulless Death Specters, the powerful soul forces of these three leaders of the Yin Charm race proved utterly useless—a mere decoration. They couldn't exert even a fraction of their power, forced instead to contend with the seven Death Specters using their relatively frail bodies.

The outcome was predictable.

Their greatest advantage neutralized, they were left to fight the Death Specters with their weakest assets: their bodies. The three leaders of the Yin Charm race appeared utterly miserable, constantly forced to evade the relentless pursuit of the Death Specters, daring not to meet their onslaught head-on.

The arduous task of dealing with the seven Death Specters naturally fell to the three leaders of the Winged race. Yet, even Di Shan, Yu Rou, and Duolong struggled against the seven, finding themselves stretched thin and unable to seize the initiative.

The Death Specters possessed no souls, yet their bodies were incomparably resilient. These seven were forged over millennia using the seven strongest Level Seven Yin Beasts, their physical might magnified to an extreme, rendering them seemingly immune to all blades, spears, and energy bombardments.

Among the three—Di Shan, Yu Rou, and Duolong—Duolong was at the peak of the third heaven of the Heaven Rank (Tian Wei San Zhong Tian), just a breath away from the Divine Realm. His physical body was robust, his strength astonishing; in any other setting, he would undoubtedly be considered a top-tier powerhouse.

Di Shan and Yu Rou, however, were fiercer and more formidable, genuine masters of the first heaven of the Divine Realm (Tong Shen Yi Zhong Tian)!

Despite this, even the three of them found dealing with the Death Specters somewhat clumsy.

Their attacks, when striking the Death Specters, failed to shatter them. Unless they could blast the creatures into ash, the Death Specters wouldn't sustain any real damage. Once they replenished their energy from the Yin of heaven and earth behind them, they gained inexhaustible strength.

As long as that Yin energy persisted, and the Death Specters' bodies weren't utterly obliterated, their power would not wane, nor would their attacks cease.

Every sweep of the seven Death Specters was like a flash of lightning and thunder; their speed was marginally faster than the three Winged race leaders, and their power formidable.

Shi Yan observed them intently, noticing that as the seven Death Specters darted through the mountain cavern, their bodies like electricity, one charge allowed their massive forms to bore directly dozens of meters into the rock walls, like terrifying drills, testing the resilience of the stone.

He understood this was due to the sheer impact force of the Death Specters—so immense it was capable of shattering anything, instantly hollowing out the mountain belly.

The seven Death Specters roared and lashed out within the cavern, pursuing Di Shan, Duolong, and Yu Rou, who faced them like mortal enemies, their expressions grim as they attempted every power at their disposal to annihilate the creatures.

Di Shan's and Yu Rou's power struck the Death Specters like being hit by ten thousand mountains; they were flung hundreds of meters away, their bodies emitting strange noises as if falling apart, yet they were still not entirely pulverized.

The three great leaders of the Yin Charm race were in a terrible state due to their soul attacks being ineffective. Their frail bodies could not withstand too many impacts from the Death Specters. If not for their agility and relatively swift evasion, they likely would have perished by now.

"Hoo, hoo, hoo!"

Thick Yin energy suddenly erupted from the seven Death Specters, suffused with a strange, necrotic aura.

The Yin Beasts lurking in the distance, upon seeing this spread of Yin energy, immediately fled in panic.

A dozen or so Yin Beasts that couldn't escape quickly enough were engulfed by that bizarre Yin energy, letting out piercing screams.

Amidst their cries, their soul fluctuations grew strange, their life force slowly vanishing, their forms gradually taking on a dense, deathly aura.

Soon after, these dozen or so Yin Beasts covered by the unique Yin energy went berserk, seemingly transformed into Death Specters themselves, and began attacking Di Shan and the others. These newly converted Death Specters were clearly inferior to the original seven; their bodies were less sturdy, and their power far weaker. Under the attacks of Di Shan and the five others, these dozen transformed Specters were quickly smashed until flesh and blood flew everywhere.

However, in that brief window, the original seven Death Specters had spread out, releasing even more Yin energy from heaven and earth.

Hundreds of Yin Beasts hidden within the mountain cavern fled in terror towards the exit, but before they could get far, they were all enveloped by the Yin energy.

Soon, every Yin Beast in the mountain cavern was converted into a Death Specter, fearlessly charging towards Di Shan and his group.

Shi Yan unleashed his Heavenly Fire, his expression exceedingly grave.

He finally realized why the Yin Beasts of the Yin Beast Mountain were always desperate to escape to the outside: they feared the Death Specters within the cavern, or more accurately, they feared the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame protected by the Death Specters.

This was because the power of the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame could erase their souls and transform them into lifeless Death Specters.

These Yin Beasts clearly understood the power of the Flame. Once the internal seals weakened, they sensed disaster, realizing the aura of the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame was strengthening. This realization prompted them to flee the cavern—precisely to avoid being turned into Death Specters by the Flame.

Had the armies of the Yin Charm and Winged races not invaded, these Yin Beasts would never have remained in the cavern. Now, the hundreds of Yin Beasts remaining deep within, close to the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame, could no longer evade its influence. Their souls were wiped clean, and they transformed into Death Specters.

Instantly, the mountain cavern swarmed with Death Specters. Once their souls were erased, these former Yin Beasts knew no fear; they no longer recoiled even from the aura of the Heavenly Fire emanating from Shi Yan, all charging toward him.

"Let's go!" a message transmitted from the Profound Ice Cold Flame.

"I'll help you!" the Myriad Earth Core Fire also projected its thoughts from the ring.

"Boom!"

A fierce, blazing inferno erupted, centered on Shi Yan, suddenly sweeping outwards in all directions!

The Ten Thousand Year Earth Core Fire, seeing dozens of Death Specters charging, leaped from the Blood Pattern Ring, unleashing its world-burning power.

In an instant, the temperature in the cavern multiplied several times over, flames raging everywhere.

Where Shi Yan stood, a new, fiercely burning sun seemed to have appeared, erupting with terrifying heat that incinerated everything.

The charging Death Specters were instantly swallowed by the flames of the Myriad Earth Core Fire. Within the raging sea of fire, these creatures offered no resistance, dissolving into wisps of bloody mist, utterly annihilated.

The Heavenly Fire continued to spread outward.

More Death Specters were consumed by the Heavenly Fire; no creature of this kind could withstand the incineration wrought by the Myriad Earth Core Fire.

Wherever the Heavenly Fire passed, Death Specters were burned to ash, leaving nothing behind.

Even the original seven Death Specters, refined by the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame for millennia, could not resist the terrifying blaze of the Myriad Earth Core Fire. Three of them were submerged in the inferno, struggling within the sea of fire, slowly melting into crimson blood-water before being evaporated by the flames into smoke, vanishing without a trace.

The remaining four Death Specters, seemingly aware of the danger, fled into the deep shadows behind them before the Heavenly Fire could even reach them, disappearing in an instant.

"Stop!"

A powerful tremor resonated deep within his soul, startling Shi Yan, whose head throbbed painfully.

Simultaneously, he sensed two strange streams of soul energy instantly surge toward the Myriad Earth Core Fire. The soul of the Earth Core Fire, detecting danger, hastily retreated into the Blood Pattern Ring.

The canopy of flames retracted like ten thousand birds returning to their nest, all drawn back into the Blood Pattern Ring as the soul of the Core Fire entered.

The two streams of soul energy belonging to Kaba and Zhameng hovered around the surface of Shi Yan's Blood Pattern Ring for a moment, finding no way to penetrate, and then retreated.

Shi Yan let out a cold snort, observing Yi Tianmo from a hundred meters away.

"The power of the Heavenly Fire is indeed terrifying. While it has a potent effect on these peculiar deathly creatures, the three of us cannot endure it either. If its spread continues, we too will be burned to dust," Yi Tianmo said from afar, his gaze icy. "Boy... are you trying to wipe us all out?"

"If not for your Heavenly Fire having a restraining effect on these peculiar creatures, I would immediately obliterate your souls!"

Zhameng was drenched in sweat. Being the closest to Shi Yan, he felt the utmost terror as the Heavenly Fire spread toward him. Even before the flames made contact, more than half of the power within his body had drained away, fueling his anger toward Shi Yan.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

The four Death Specters, having retreated into the deep darkness, suddenly emitted strange howls.

A shuttle of brilliant light flickered intermittently within the darkness, seeming to try and break free but held captive by some unknown binding force, struggling fiercely.

A bizarre, evil, and strange life fluctuation suddenly emanated from the darkness after the four Death Specters entered.

"It's the Nine Nether Soul Devouring Flame! That thing seems to be sealed, but its power is gradually increasing, and the seal is rapidly weakening! We must leave this place; if we delay any longer, once that thing awakens, few here will be able to stop it!" the Profound Ice Cold Flame urgently transmitted.

Shi Yan remained motionless, seemingly ignoring the message from the Cold Flame, staring intently at the front with a thoughtful expression.

His eyes flashed, fixed unblinkingly on the shuttle spinning within the darkness, as if deep in contemplation.

Five seconds later, Shi Yan’s body shook, revealing extreme ecstasy. He couldn't help but exclaim, "Flowing Cloud Sky Shattering Prism!"
