Linda, clutching two short blades, was being relentlessly pushed back by the bearded man and Old Man Kong.
Behind Lin Xiaochang, five martial artists at the Human Position realm emerged one after another, taking their stand alongside Linda.
Two Hundred Tribulation realm experts, plus five Human Position realm warriors—Linda, completely surrounded, had almost no hope of escape.
Lin Xiaochang looked pleased, lounging languidly in his wheelchair, though his narrow eyes flashed with cold light; he remained vigilant.
Shi Yan stood seven meters from Lin Xiaochang, a peculiar smile playing on his lips, observing the besieged Linda with unhurried composure.
“Ingrate!” Linda gritted her silver teeth, her bright eyes blazing with boundless rage. “Even as a ghost, I will not let you go!”
Linda’s expression was fierce, her pretty face etched with hatred; it seemed she truly despised Shi Yan to the bone.
Shi Yan offered a faint smile and shrugged. “Don’t blame me. I just want to keep living. As long as I can survive, I can discard anything.”
“Shameless!” Linda shrieked and suddenly charged—the twin short swords once again unleashed the Twin Serpent Coiling technique, their blades flickering with swallowed light, the rainbow glow whipping like ribbons.
Linda seemed utterly reckless, ignoring the attacks from both sides as she fiercely lunged forward.
Old Man Kong blocked her path. Seeing the girl was prepared to fight him to the death without regard for her own life, his expression changed, and he chuckled, sidestepping to avoid the collision.
Linda didn’t even look at Old Man Kong, instantly slipping past him. Undeterred by the club strike aimed at her left shoulder from the bearded man, she shot towards Shi Yan like a rainbow.
“I’ll kill you first!” Linda, brimming with ferocity, actually burst through the encirclement, striking straight for Shi Yan like lightning.
Panic flickered across Shi Yan’s face. He hastily dodged toward Lin Xiaochang, his expression one of shock. “Quick, block her! Block her!”
The surrounding sea bandits all wore expressions of disdain, deeply disappointed by Shi Yan’s display.
Lin Xiaochang also frowned, sitting in his wheelchair, and barked an order: “Capture that girl!”
Behind Lin Xiaochang, several Human Position realm martial artists rushed forward together, forming a shield in front of him.
When Old Man Kong and the bearded man saw Linda recklessly closing in on Lin Xiaochang, they weren't worried at all; instead, they chuckled, unhurriedly closing in.
Shi Yan was only three steps away from Lin Xiaochang. After carefully observing the expressions on Old Man Kong’s and the bearded man’s faces, his heart sank.
Lin Xiaochang was definitely not easy to deal with.
Their confidence was proof enough that Lin Xiaochang alone could handle Linda. It was because they knew Lin Xiaochang’s methods that they remained so calm, not rushing to offer assistance.
A rapid sequence of thoughts flashed through his mind. Shi Yan maintained his look of panic, but his mental focus was unprecedentedly sharp, daring not relax even slightly.
“I will surely kill you!” Linda hated Shi Yan to the core. Surrounded by the Human Position warriors, she moved like a crazed tiger, ignoring her existing injuries, desperately charging toward Shi Yan again.
“This girl… admirable courage,” Lin Xiaochang suddenly laughed, glancing at Shi Yan beside him. “Young friend, don't be afraid. No matter how formidable she is, this girl will be brought down shortly.”
“Not afraid, not afraid,” Shi Yan nodded, his gaze abruptly turning bone-chillingly cold, the look of panic vanishing instantly from his face.
Lin Xiaochang had been observing Shi Yan closely. The moment he saw Shi Yan’s expression shift, a murderous glint suddenly shot from his slender eyes.
“Boom!”
The wheelchair beneath Lin Xiaochang suddenly exploded outward, and countless crossbow bolts erupted like a sudden drizzle, all aiming directly at Shi Yan.
Shi Yan’s expression was cold, a sliver of cruel amusement touching the corner of his mouth.
“Clang, clang, clang, clang!”
A string of metallic clashing sounds suddenly rang out from Shi Yan’s body.
Under the protection of the Petrified Martial Soul, those dense crossbow bolts failed to penetrate Shi Yan’s body; they merely tore holes in his patched-up clothes, falling uselessly to the ground.
“I knew there was something wrong with you!” Lin Xiaochang laughed heartily, his wheelchair rapidly retreating backward. “Anyone brave enough to approach actively is surely not a coward afraid of trouble. Trying to find a chance to kill me? Haha, you’re still too green!”
Lin Xiaochang roared with laughter and slapped the seat of his chair again.
A centipede glowing with dark light flew out from beneath the chair. This creature was five or six meters long, reeking powerfully of stench, and upon appearing, it immediately spat a cloud of poisonous smoke toward Shi Yan.
Shi Yan shifted his body, unnervingly dodging the smoke. With a thought, he began to move toward the Magnetic Shock Field hovering above Lin Xiaochang's head, descending suddenly from above!
The rotational force of the Field instantly enveloped Lin Xiaochang.
“Crack, crack, crack!”
The wheelchair let out sounds of breaking and shattering, but Lin Xiaochang remained unharmed, spinning within the Field with a sinister expression.
Threads of dark light rippled out from a soft armor worn beneath his chest; the armor was incredibly tough, firmly protecting his body.
Though his movements were restricted within the Field, Lin Xiaochang was not physically harmed by its power.
Shi Yan had long known that the Field's current power was greatly diminished and incapable of crushing Lin Xiaochang. Without hesitation, the moment Lin Xiaochang’s body was restrained, Shi Yan tossed out a piece of Azure Moon Stone.
The Azure Moon Stone transformed into a beam of icy light and instantly plunged into the Field.
“Boom!”
From within the Field, a continuous, cold rain suddenly burst forth. The condensed cold energy formed fine droplets that sprayed violently throughout the space.
Lin Xiaochang’s body remained safe under the Field’s protection, but the moment it touched the cold energy generated by the Profound Ice Cold Flame, he began to freeze rapidly.
In an instant, not only was Lin Xiaochang frozen into an ice sculpture, but the Field itself ceased functioning, completely locked down by the tiny Azure Moon Stone.
Lin Xiaochang, frozen in ice, still wore a smile of assured victory, as if everything remained within his grasp.
“Big Brother!”
“Big Brother!”
The sea bandits on the ship cried out in shock, frantically lunging toward Shi Yan.
Linda, who had been cornered by Old Man Kong and the bearded man, suddenly saw a death-dealing light erupt from her bright eyes as she stared at Shi Yan in disbelief.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye. The many martial artists on the ship hadn't even realized what transpired before they saw Shi Yan, who had appeared terrified moments before, suddenly charge toward Lin Xiaochang in a frenzy.
The crowd heard Lin Xiaochang's two loud laughs, and when they looked back at him, they found he had turned into an ice sculpture.
The sea bandits on the ship suddenly went mad. They gave up worrying about Linda and rushed toward Shi Yan, trying to stop his next move.
Shi Yan moved like a predator. With a leap, he abruptly arrived near the Field. The mental energy in his mind formed a wave of impact, blasting toward the Human Position warrior charging him head-on.
This bandit, at the third level of the Human Position realm, suddenly felt an agonizing pain in his head, blood pouring from all seven orifices, his expression becoming utterly wretched.
“Crack!”
Shi Yan reached out and crushed his throat, quickly passing him, and rushing straight to Lin Xiaochang’s side. Gathering negative power, he punched Lin Xiaochang's skull.
“Crack, crack, crack!”
The frozen skull of Lin Xiaochang instantly shattered under Shi Yan’s blow.
Shi Yan’s expression was cold. Seeing the skull break, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Turning his attention to the persistent Hundred-Foot Centipede in front of him, his eyes turned icy. He released another wave of Soul Shock.
The mental energy, like a sharp sword carrying the chill of the Abyssal Cold Flame, surged toward the centipede's soul.
The centipede’s soul seemed instantly and severely wounded by this impact.
“Screeech!”
The Hundred-Foot Centipede could no longer spare Lin Xiaochang. Its soul injured, it instantly transformed into a streak of dark light and fled toward the stern of the ship.
Shi Yan’s expression was severe. He stood there, enjoying the absorption of the vital essence flowing from the bodies of Lin Xiaochang and the Human Position warrior. He secretly catalyzed the negative power within him; white mist wreathed his body, and an aura of slaughter, brutality, and savagery soared heavenward from him.
“Boom! Boom!”
The Death Seal bloomed on his left hand, releasing seven consecutive palm prints that blasted toward the charging sea bandits.
Three Human Position realm martial artists hadn't even managed to close the distance before a bloody palm-sized hole appeared in their chests. A row of seven palm prints pierced straight through the three Human Position warriors, impaling them instantly.
The momentum of the Death Seal did not cease and continued its ferocious assault, landing squarely on the chest of the bearded man.
The bearded man’s huge, rugged body was flung high into the air by the impact of the seven Death Seals. The Seals acted like some mysterious brand, burrowing directly into the bearded man’s body to destroy his vitality with all their might.
While still in mid-air, the bearded man’s body became lifeless. Upon landing, his eyes rolled back, and he had lost his life.
One strike of the Death Seal, mixed with negative power, killed three Human Position warriors and then severed the life force of the Hundred Tribulation realm bearded man—truly ferocious and domineering.
With four dead, the essence from their bodies surged toward Shi Yan once more.
Amidst the corpses littering the ground, the murderous aura around Shi Yan grew heavier, as if he were a demon that had stepped out of an Asura blood sea. He recondensed negative power and formed the Death Seal again.
“Boom, boom!”
When this Death Seal was unleashed, the bodies of five sea bandits were pierced entirely, and they died tragically in an instant.
Shi Yan looked indifferent, walking leisurely amidst the fallen bodies, beginning to condense negative power to construct countless Magnetic Shock Fields barely visible to the naked eye.
One by one, the sea bandits were inexplicably suspended in the air, spinning within the Field.
Shi Yan walked past the hovering bandits with a calm expression, reaching out a finger to pierce their necks, reaping another life.
On the iron ship, the remaining sea bandits recoiled in terror, screaming and retreating.
Even Old Man Kong was aghast. After Lin Xiaochang and the bearded man were mysteriously executed, Old Man Kong finally felt fear. He hastily scrambled backward, screaming, “Brothers, retreat!”
Shi Yan’s expression was blank as he glanced lightly at him.
The body of Old Man Kong, which was throwing itself toward the sea, suddenly stopped unnaturally in mid-air, as if grasped tightly by an invisible giant hand.
Shi Yan walked unhurriedly and calmly to Old Man Kong’s side, poking out a finger. A bloody hole appeared on Old Man Kong’s neck.
Linda stood dumbfounded, having forgotten about dealing with the fleeing bandits, staring at Shi Yan like a fool, her heart filled with immense shock.
