With a flick of the Qingping Sword in his hand, it managed to halt Sun Wukong's earth-shattering staff strike...

The onlookers only witnessed a burst of golden light bloom between the Qingping Sword and the Ruyi Jingu Bang. Immediately after, they saw the minuscule space actually tremble, with faint arcs of black and white lightning flickering within. Those outside might not have understood, but Ye Jingyu knew that these two forces were so immensely powerful that they directly tore space apart, shattering everything, invoking the chaotic thunderous light that yearned to return to the primordial void. That mass of power was terrifyingly potent; not to mention ordinary people, even a standard Universe-level master, without protective magical artifacts, would be instantly obliterated.

This was a power operating on an entirely different plane, a force beyond rules. Ye Jingyu even believed that his own physical body, positioned at the center of that impact, would have suffered grievous injury.

The colossal collision sent both figures hurtling backward. Sun Wukong somersaulted backwards, tumbling for tens of thousands of zhang before finally stopping. Aside from a slight numbness in his arms, he was otherwise unharmed. Tongtian, equally blasted back tens of thousands of zhang, found the sleeve of his right arm, which gripped the Qingping Sword, utterly shredded, revealing a fair, tender arm. Now, holding the Qingping Sword, it trembled slightly.

Evidently, in this exchange, Sun Wukong had gained the upper hand. After all, he was the aggressor, wielding his staff with both hands, and the Ruyi Jingu Bang was a blunt instrument, giving him a complete advantage in sheer power. (WW.)

Tongtian was naturally displeased with this outcome. He was, after all, the Patriarch of the Jie Sect, a lofty Saint. To be struck to such a state by a mere monkey—even a monkey he had once admired—was a profound loss of face.

The Qingping Sword in his hand gave a sharp shake, releasing a fierce stream of sword energy that tore through the void. Following this, he clapped the back of his head with his left hand, conjuring a colossal palm that swooped down to seize Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong was equally dissatisfied with the result. He held the clear advantage, yet had only managed to shred Tongtian’s sleeve. Clearly, a gap still existed between him and the Grandmaster of Heaven. Seeing the giant palm conjured by the Sect Leader descending upon him, he shook the Ruyi Jingu Bang and brought it up in a reverse sweep toward the sky. From a distance, his figure transformed into a streak of golden light, directly evading the sharp sword energy and arriving above. With a heavy strike, he slammed down upon the enormous palm.

"Rumble..." With a deafening roar, the massive palm was instantly pulverized by the staff strike...

"Monkey head, behold the mountain..." At this moment, Tongtian's shout echoed, followed by the appearance of a gigantic Sword Mountain hovering directly above Sun Wukong's head, pressing down upon him. (WW.)

Upon seeing the colossal Sword Mountain, rage instantly contorted Sun Wukong's face. Back then, he had been suppressed beneath the Five Elements Mountain for five hundred years by the manifestation of Amitabha Buddha—an event that became his singular humiliation. Now, Tongtian was employing a mountain to crush him again; how could he not be enraged...

He let out a long cry, gripping his staff with both hands, his figure instantly ballooning. In the blink of an eye, he swelled to millions of zhang in height. As the colossal figure materialized, Ye Jingyu, situated within the immediate area, felt an overwhelming pressure descend. Outside this world, Liang Xiaoke and the others were forced back by this oppressive aura, their faces etched with profound shock. If merely the diffused energy was this formidable, how immense must his true power be?

The Sword Mountain conjured by Tongtian was only tens of thousands of zhang high. Now, in the monkey's eyes, it appeared as nothing more than an ordinary small sword. Instead of using his staff, he simply opened his massive mouth and clamped down on the Sword Mountain, biting down hard. The Sword Mountain was crushed into dust...

Everyone was stunned. They truly had not expected the monkey to be so fiercely aggressive. Facing a Sword Mountain capable of piercing beings into fragments, he met it with his teeth, and the Sword Mountain shattered as easily as a bamboo shoot being bitten apart...

A violent aura continuously erupted from the monkey's body. He paid no mind to others' thoughts, already raising the immense Ruyi Jingu Bang, swinging it down toward Tongtian once more.

"Monkey head, behold the water..." Facing the incoming staff strike, a faint smile played on Tongtian's lips. With a casual wave of his sleeve, a massive wave materialized out of thin air—a giant tide tens of millions of zhang high. Even with the monkey's immense size, he seemed like a single grain in the vast ocean beneath this wave, utterly insignificant.

Yet, the monkey charged resolutely into the massive surge...

"Rumble..." With a thunderous crash, the enormous wave was torn apart by the monkey’s charge, but his own body staggered from the impact...

"Monkey head, behold the lightning..." Tongtian’s voice sounded again. Immediately after, a bolt of black lightning, tens of millions of zhang long—resembling a vast ocean—descended from the sky. If such lightning struck the Heavenly Realm, it would flatten the entire Barren Forest. However, the infinite space Tongtian had created negated the concern of destruction. The monkey, still unsteady from the previous wave impact, had no way to dodge this lightning. The bolts struck his body without reserve, instantly causing every hair on him to stand on end, and furious roars erupted from his throat...

Through the initial phase of the battle, Tongtian understood: the monkey’s combat strength was no less than his own. Should he rely purely on brute force, victory would at best be a pyrrhic one, and success was not guaranteed. His true advantage lay in his myriad divine abilities.

Though Tongtian was arrogant, facing such a formidable opponent as the monkey, he would not rashly pit his weaknesses against the other's strengths.

The continuous attacks had inflicted wounds upon the monkey. Now, the monkey was utterly enraged, his roars shaking the entire world. Countless towering mountains collapsed, and the firm ground began to crack under the sonic pressure. Even Liang Xiaoke and the others outside were forced to seal their hearing.

Tongtian, however, remained unconcerned. His single hand moved constantly, sending mountain after mountain, tidal waves, lightning bolts, and hurricanes crashing down upon the monkey. It seemed as if the entire world had turned against him... Facing a near-endless barrage of attacks, the monkey’s body shifted, transforming into three heads and six arms. His Ruyi Jingu Bang also multiplied into three shafts, ceaselessly blocking the unending onslaught.

But Tongtian's divine abilities were too profound. Despite the incredible speed at which Sun Wukong swung his staffs, he struggled to fend off the ever-increasing number of falling mountains. Blood marks appeared on many parts of his body, leaving him looking utterly battered and disheveled...
