Even setting aside any change in their appearances, a woman who has lost her memory certainly wouldn't recognize him.

After the others introduced themselves, they were led by the grand honor guard into the Earth Fiend City, heading toward the Demon Palace.

Along the way, Yuan Ziran inquired where Ye Jingyu had been these past few months. Ye Jingyu, having prepared for such questions, smoothly delivered an airtight explanation. Yuan didn't press further; in his estimation, strength was paramount, and as long as Ye Jingyu’s power didn't surpass his own, he felt no concern and entertained no suspicion whatsoever.

Upon arrival at the Demon Palace, Jiu Feng, Sun Wukong, Bing Ming, Xi Yang, and the commanders of the Four Great Legions were assigned quarters to rest. Yuan, however, led Ye Jingyu directly toward the largest hall in the palace, where the three great Lords, having emerged from seclusion, awaited him.

This was not Ye Jingyu’s first time in the grandest hall of the Demon Palace; he had been named Commander of the Blood Demon Legion here previously. Yet, returning this time, he distinctly felt things were different.

Last time, although he could sense the various restrictions surrounding him, he ultimately remained within that space, no matter how ingenious the restraints. But this time, as Ye Jingyu entered the hall, he felt as if he had stepped into another dimension—a space akin to a black hole, emanating coldness and despair.

He even felt as though the vital blood and power within his body were being siphoned away by this environment.

However, it was merely a feeling. With his current Chaos Physique, let alone having his power absorbed, finding anything in this realm capable of harming him would be difficult.

Internally composed, he maintained an outward appearance of great excitement, nervousness, and even a touch of fear as he walked into the hall. After all, he was about to face the three most powerful entities of the Earth Alliance; appearing too relaxed might betray his true identity.

Seeing the expression on Ye Jingyu’s face, Yuan breathed a sigh of relief. He had known it—this fellow, despite his luck, had cultivation that was too low; he simply couldn't fully adapt to the auras of his father and the others.

When Ye Jingyu reached the center of the hall, he saw the three figures seated regally at the forefront. All three were humanoid, yet the space before them seemed infinitely compressed; they felt close yet impossibly distant, appearing blurry. Even with Ye Jingyu’s naked eye, discerning their features clearly was a struggle, requiring the use of the Reincarnation Eye—but doing so would expose his true cultivation level.

“Commander Jing of the Blood Demon Legion pays respects to the three Lord Masters!” Ye Jingyu suppressed the urge to activate his Reincarnation Eye, stepped forward, and offered them a cupped-fist salute.

Seeing that Ye Jingyu did not kneel, Yuan’s brow furrowed, though he said nothing more; demons, unlike humans, were generally unconcerned with such formal courtesies.

“General Jing, you have rendered immense service to our Earth Alliance this time. I hear from Yuan’er that you have already been rewarded with Blazing Extinction City. But a mere city cannot possibly compensate for your current merits. Speak now, what other reward do you seek? Whatever it may be, I shall grant it!” The Demon Lord who spoke first, the Lord of Destruction seated centrally, offered no pleasantries and spoke directly.

Any reward was possible? Upon hearing those words, Ye Jingyu nearly blurted out a request to be wed to Princess Ling, but the words caught in his throat. He paused because he sensed a subtle fluctuation in the void the moment the Lord of Destruction mentioned Blazing Extinction City. Although the ripple was faint, he registered it.

The former owner of Blazing Extinction City was not only close with Yuan personally, but his father was reportedly a veteran general serving the Lord of Destruction. Logically, the Lord of Destruction should have avoided awarding him Blazing Extinction City, yet why emphasize it instead?

Though he didn’t understand the situation and hesitated to use the Reincarnation Eye for a closer look, he spoke cautiously: “Jing thanks the Lord for his generosity. However, since arriving at the Earth Alliance, I have always enjoyed the appreciation of Lord Yuan. To become the master of a city is already a tremendous honor for Jing. If the Lord truly wishes to reward your subordinate, I only hope that one day, when dealing with the Heaven Alliance, the Lord might assist me in slaying that beast, Liang Tianjun! To avenge my Ye family…”

Ye Jingyu trusted that Yuan had informed the higher-ups about his background.

The three great Lords were slightly taken aback, clearly not expecting Ye Jingyu to propose such a condition.

“Is this the reward you desire?” Soon enough, the Lord of Destruction recovered and asked again.

“Precisely, I humbly request the Lord fulfill this!” Ye Jingyu reiterated, a blaze of vengeful fire rising in his eyes, so earnest and firm.

“Good, I promise you that!” Feeling the anger within Ye Jingyu and seeing the resolve in his eyes, the Lord of Destruction nodded.

“Thank you, my Lord!” Ye Jingyu bowed respectfully once more.

“It is what you deserve. Very well, Yuan, take General Jing down. The entire army of the Blood Demon Legion has performed great deeds this time; reward them well…” The voice of the Lord of Destruction trailed off.

“Yes…” Yuan saluted, and Ye Jingyu followed suit before leaving with Yuan. Yet, he had a faint feeling that the Lord of Destruction and the others were not as they appeared; perhaps they had already guessed something?

Once the presence of the two had completely faded from the hall, the voice of the Lord of Destruction returned: “What do you think? Could he be the person the Cult Master spoke of?”

“Unlikely. His cultivation is only at the Cosmic level. While his physical body is strong, it is certainly not as terrifying as the Cult Master described,” replied the Lord of Greed, seated to the Lord of Destruction’s right, shaking his head.

“I agree it seems unlikely. His performance was too perfect, but it is precisely because it was too perfect that I suspect him more, Destruction. Perhaps we must employ that measure,” the Lord of Fear, seated to the left, also interjected.

“But that move would cause Yuan considerable harm…” The Lord of Destruction hesitated…

“Destruction, he is a demon; demons should possess no sentiment. Furthermore, you have already entrusted him with the Nine-Grade Lotus Platform and the Sea-Calming Divine Beads—that serves as compensation. Is all of this still not enough?” Fear and Greed advised almost simultaneously.

“Lord Master, please issue your command…” At that moment, the void shimmered, and a figure resembling an elephant but possessing a pair of wings appeared above the hall, immediately prostrating itself before the Lord of Destruction.

The Lord of Destruction glanced at Yu beneath him, remembering his son Miao, whom Ye Jingyu had slain, and nodded lightly…
