Everyone, including the battle-skill-master Ni Bo, stared in utter disbelief at Ye Jingyu, who had taken a step forward. His body was still spinning rapidly; merely managing to stop himself abruptly would have been impressive enough. Yet, before he had even fully stabilized, he had stepped out. How could he execute such a high-difficulty maneuver? Wasn't he afraid of throwing out his back?
Even Gui Jianchou, who had retreated, watched the charging Ye Jingyu with utter shock, instinctively raising the demonic blade in his hand.
But what disappointed him was that Ye Jingyu didn't immediately attack. From Xuan Ming's words, he understood that even though this Gui Jianchou appeared to be the main body, in reality, if Ye Jingyu killed this one, the other clones could instantly devour the soul of this body and become the primary self. The only way to truly eradicate him was to obliterate every single clone along with the original body.
With a swift stride, he crossed the distance and leaped into the air, his hands gripping the Heavenly Venerable Blade, slowly raising it high...
An immense, crushing pressure continuously emanated from his body, accompanied by flashing arcs of seven-colored lightning. The surrounding world's spiritual energy began to churn violently...
"Gui Jianchou, I deeply admire your courage, and I admire your tenacity. It must have been agonizing when you forcibly carved out a part of your soul, right? But even so, you must die today. Witness the strike I have devised... the Blade of All Beings!" Ye Jingyu’s face assumed a solemn expression as he gazed coldly down at Gui Jianchou, bringing the Heavenly Venerable Blade down within the latter's astonished gaze...
The Blade of All Beings, a technique derived from the Seal of All Beings, materialized as a single strike condensing the collective conviction of all living things under heaven. It recognized no target, knew no distance, and defied time; whoever Ye Jingyu wished to strike would be struck, unless that person could take that final step beyond the control of the rules of heaven and earth—only then could they evade this blade.
At least, at this moment, all eight of Gui Jianchou's visible clones, as well as the two hidden deep within the void as a contingency, simultaneously sensed a colossal blade aura slicing toward them.
Facing this strike forged from the accumulated belief of heaven and earth, his expression completely changed. His eight figures, along with the two latent in the void, manifested simultaneously and merged into one entity. The demonic blade in his hand blazed with an intense bloody light as he swung it back, attempting to slash at the intangible yet clearly present blade aimed from the void...
"If your soul were whole enough, if your soul were perfectly integrated, perhaps you could resist this. But now that your soul is not completely fused, how can you withstand such an attack?" Ye Jingyu’s mocking, cold laughter echoed through the air...
Then came a sharp, shattering crack. The crimson blade light formed by the demonic blade was instantly cleaved apart, and the sword qi, born of concentrated will, continued its relentless descent.
Before it even reached Gui Jianchou's body, his form was already being pulverized by the overwhelming pressure. Crimson springs of blood erupted from multiple points on his body, and even his bones emitted a sickening series of cracks, as if being ground to dust.
Sensing the ever-intensifying pressure, Gui Jianchou suddenly unleashed a tremendous, deafening roar. His body detonated—not crushed by external force, but self-detonated—exploding into a vast, spreading mist of blood that instantly enveloped Ye Jingyu entirely.
In that instant, Ye Jingyu felt transported to another realm, a world composed entirely of a sea of blood. A massive tide of crimson water surged toward him, and within that bloody wave, Gui Jianchou’s hideous grin seemed to manifest.
"Is this the power of the Rules you comprehended? The world you have forged?" Seeing the surging wave of blood, Ye Jingyu’s face remained utterly placid, his tone cold as he spoke.
"Heh heh, so what if your combat power surpasses mine? Your cultivation realm is lower than mine. Here, within my world, I am the god. Ye Jingyu, today, you are the one who dies..." Gui Jianchou’s raspy voice drifted out. Immediately, the blood wave contorted, transforming into a colossal Blood Dragon tens of thousands of feet long, roaring with earth-shattering intensity as it lunged at Ye Jingyu...
"Regardless of the world you manifest, regardless of how many clones you command, my heart remains clear. One strike shall shatter it all!" Seeing the charging Blood Dragon, Ye Jingyu remained completely unconcerned, still holding the blade aloft with both hands, and brought it down in a single, decisive slash...
The Blade of All Beings!
A gigantic blade radiance ignited upon the Heavenly Venerable Blade, instantly expanding to the size of tens of thousands of feet. It struck directly at the head of the Blood Dragon...
The blade light tore through the Blood Dragon, tore through the Sea of Blood, tore through the expanse of the sky—the entire world was cleaved into two halves by this singular, overwhelmingly powerful strike...
The world abruptly shattered. Gui Jianchou, who had manifested the Sea of Blood world, spat out a mouthful of blood, his entire body crashing heavily to the ground. His skin was crisscrossed with bloody streaks, and blood even seeped out through his pores; his face was slick with gore.
Meanwhile, Ye Jingyu stood quietly before him, looking down with an air of utter dominance, his eyes filled with contempt and disdain.
Gui Jianchou's talent was indeed good. If he hadn't been so consumed by the urge for rapid achievement, he could have attained extraordinary accomplishments. But he was too hasty. In his relentless pursuit to surpass Ye Jingyu and Xuanyuan Jing, he had embarked upon a path of error—a path with no possibility of retreat.
Gui Jianchou laboriously raised his head. Seeing the disdain in Ye Jingyu's eyes, his own eyes flooded with humiliation, but what overwhelmed it was deeper unwillingness. Why? Why, after exerting himself to this extent, was he still no match?
His cultivation level had far surpassed Ye Jingyu's; he could even manifest an entire world. So why was he still inferior? Ye Jingyu hadn't even used any magic artifacts! Was he truly just that much worse than him?
Gui Jianchou was intensely unwilling to accept this fate. This profound unwillingness prevented him from accepting death in such a manner. As he watched Ye Jingyu advance step by step, a look of desperate resolve flashed in his eyes...
"King Kinlis, save me..." Gui Jianchou suddenly cried out with immense urgency. Immediately, a blood-red bead shot out of his mouth. The moment the bead touched the air, it exploded, releasing layers upon layers of blood clouds that billowed out, spreading a thick, pungent scent of blood...
"The Soul Guiding Bead?" Han Ba, standing nearby, gasped the name. This was a bead refined using one's own vital essence blood, capable of summoning any connected person to one's side, regardless of distance...
A massive surge of bloody energy began to coalesce around Gui Jianchou...
