That was a colossal beast, reaching hundreds of feet in height, resembling a great ape. Its tusks were longer and sharper than common ivory, like two swords of polished obsidian. A single, massive horn crowned its forehead, catching the sunlight with a chilling gleam, and its entire body was studded with countless backward-pointing barbs, each one a spike that radiated a cold menace...

Ye Jingyu had no doubt; he wouldn't even need to fight. Simply falling over would cause those barbs to shred any ordinary creature to pieces. The monster's eyes were entirely blood-red, fixed intently on Ye Jingyu, filled to the brim with murderous intent, a potent and fierce killing aura...

"Whoosh..." The monster made no other preparatory movement. Suddenly, it raised one enormous, clumsy-looking palm and brought it down toward Ye Jingyu. Its arm was incredibly thick, yet its motion was alarmingly fast; in an instant, the massive palm loomed directly over Ye Jingyu's head.

Facing such an overwhelming attack, Ye Jingyu shifted his stance with a flicker of movement, his silhouette already gone. That palm slammed down onto the earth with tremendous force, instantly shattering the ground, kicking up clouds of sand and stone. The sheer, violent aura of the impact tore apart two large trees nearby...

When it lifted its hand, a massive fissure, stretching dozens of yards long, had opened in the ground beneath. Seeing that Ye Jingyu had evaded its strike, the great beast threw its head back and roared to the heavens. Then, its maw opened wide, spewing forth a torrent of black ichor...

Observing the black fluid rushing toward him like a flood, Ye Jingyu immediately recalled the dark scars on Tianlong's body, certain this was a potent venom. Though confident his own physical defense could resist such poison, he certainly didn't intend to take a bath in it. With a surge of the Star Power and Wind Power within him, his body shot backward, narrowly avoiding the spray of black venom.

Where the liquid struck the lake, the previously clear water immediately darkened, turning black in moments. In no time, at least a third of the lake was stained, and the bodies of various aquatic creatures began floating to the surface. Some of the corpses were already reduced to mere skeletons.

Witnessing this spectacle, Ye Jingyu’s heart lurched—this thing was lethally toxic. At this juncture, the monster let out another deafening roar. Black light erupted from its body, and immediately, countless black barbs shot out, resembling a million arrows loosed from a universal bow...

Sensing the potent energy contained within the black barbs, Ye Jingyu frowned. To dodge an attack from so many projectiles, even with his speed, was impossible. Since evasion was out of the question, he chose to meet force with force.

Golden light burst from his body as the Ba Yuan Power within him circulated wildly. He threw a direct punch toward the nearest barb... "Boom..." With a deafening crash, that single barb exploded like a bomb, instantly unleashing a thick cloud of black mist.

More and more barbs followed, behaving like homing missiles finding their target, all aimed squarely at Ye Jingyu. Ye Jingyu continuously swung his fists, wave after wave of crushing kinetic force tearing through the air, shattering barb after barb... The entire area became shrouded in the dense black fog, its immense power splintering the surrounding towering trees into fragments...

Just as Ye Jingyu obliterated one cluster of black barbs, a giant palm descended upon his head once more. This time, the speed was greater, the force amplified—Ye Jingyu simply couldn't evade it. Seeing the palm that dwarfed him by several times, a look of grim resolve flashed across Ye Jingyu’s face.

He stopped trying to dodge and instead threw his right fist forward with his full might toward the descending palm... "Crack..." With a colossal sound, Ye Jingyu’s punch punched a massive hole straight through the palm. However, the residual, immense force still slammed Ye Jingyu backward, sending him crashing through untold numbers of towering trees...

"Roar! Roar..." Seemingly in pain, the monster let out tremendous bellows, convulsing as it clutched the wounded arm. Its body was immense; though slightly smaller than the giant trees that reached thousands of feet, its thrashing still caused the earth to tremble violently.

Ye Jingyu finally managed to stabilize himself. He found that aside from a slight numbness in his fist, he was completely unharmed. Seeing the creature howling in agony, his body blurred, and he reappeared directly above the monster's head once more...

Without hesitation, he drove a fierce kick down onto the beast. The monster was still reeling from the pain in its arm, having never expected Ye Jingyu to escape its earlier blow unharmed. It was too late to react now...

"Snap..." With a sound of cracking bone, Ye Jingyu’s kick landed squarely on the horn protruding from the creature's skull. The horn, larger than Ye Jingyu himself by threefold, shattered like glass under the impact of that single kick. Not only that, but the monster’s massive body was sent flying by the force, slamming violently into a great tree behind it.

The impact bored a huge cavity into the trunk, and the colossal tree, unable to withstand the sudden stress, finally toppled over... "Aargh..." The monster’s cry now was far more intense than before, and dark-gold blood began to spurt continuously from its head. Seeing Ye Jingyu charging at it again, the behemoth somehow scrambled quickly to its feet and turned, fleeing deep into the jungle...

Ye Jingyu was not about to let it escape. He picked up his pace and gave chase. A Devouring Dragon Beast?

He intended to see just how formidable these creatures truly were... The Wild Forest was vast, containing many treacherous valleys. One specific location, known as the Valley of Death, was a place that no other Savage Beast, Immortal Beast, or Ferocious Beast dared enter, for it was the domain of one of the most terrifying creatures in the Wild Forest: the Devouring Dragon Beast...

Currently, within that canyon, over a hundred Devouring Dragon Beasts, each towering over a hundred feet tall, had encircled two men. One man was clad in black, his face set with an expression of grim determination; the other wore a white leather coat, his face holding a languid, indifferent expression, as if these beasts posed no threat whatsoever... Yet, whether the man in white or the man in black, their gazes subtly drifted toward the peak of a nearby mountain, for standing there was a single Devouring Dragon Beast, only human-sized, yet entirely white in color.
