Since the US Pacific Fleet had already retreated, Liu Hui did not wish to openly antagonize the Americans for the time being; this was not the moment for an all-out war with the United States, as he had far more critical matters demanding his attention.

He remained in the command and control center for another hour, only truly relaxing once he was certain that the massive tsunami triggered by the Fiji earthquake had entirely passed, with no further disturbances detected.

The "City of Starlight" remained completely unharmed during this super-tsunami, thanks to the installation of its massive defensive and levitation arrays. However, the coastal nations and regions facing the Pacific were likely to suffer devastating losses; yet, Liu Hui felt powerless to intervene—everything now depended on the self-reliance of those nations and their people.

It was at this point that the surveillance equipment aboard the "City of Starlight" captured footage of the divine-level expert team entering. In this video, they confirmed the intruders numbered eight, all of whom had now been annihilated. No other external intrusions were detected elsewhere, meaning the danger had been completely neutralized.

Only then did Liu Hui call Hu Xian'er,

Liu Hui sighed after hearing Hu Xian'er's words, "That supreme master is truly formidable. Humans on Earth can at most reach the peak of the Foundation Establishment stage, yet he managed to help you break through such a bottleneck and become a Golden Core expert."

Hu Xian'er's eyes dimmed slightly upon hearing Liu Hui's words. She said, "To be honest, I never wanted this ability. I would much rather be a normal woman, raise children, and manage a household—that’s the life I always desired. Do you know why? It’s because the cultivation left inside my body by that master hasn't been fully assimilated yet. All my vital essence is currently being refined and converted into my own power. This very process of refinement prevents my body from retaining any jingqi (essence/vital energy). That is the reason I cannot conceive now."

Liu Hui was startled and asked, "What kind of cultivation technique is this? It causes infertility?"

Hu Xian'er replied, "I don't even know myself. Perhaps once I have completely converted all the power that master imbued within me, I will be able to control my internal jingqi on my own. At that time, I should be able to have my own child."

Liu Hui sighed, "Since that is the case, we can only continue to wait."

Hu Xian'er looked indignant. She said, "If my body weren't in this situation, do you think I would allow you to associate with so many women? I only want a child!"

Liu Hui was deeply moved. He grasped Hu Xian'er's hand and said, "Xian'er, I must thank you. You truly are my virtuous wife. Without you, I don't know what I would do!"

Hu Xian'er sighed, "Water Buffalo, who told you to be my husband? Your affairs are my affairs. If I don't help you, who will?"

Liu Hui said, "My lady, I have caused you to suffer grievances."

Hu Xian'er responded, "I don't fear suffering grievances; after all, I've lived two lifetimes. However, I feel you should pay more attention to Shu Yan."

Liu Hui rubbed his temples. "But I have no idea what Shu Yan is truly thinking. How can I care for her if I don't know?"

Hu Xian'er countered, "Why must you know what others are thinking? Is the result from that treasure of yours that reads minds truly that accurate?"

Liu Hui was shocked. "So Xian'er already knew about that mind-reading artifact!"

Hu Xian'er said, "Of course I knew long ago. I even saw you use it on Shu Yan many times, though it seemed to have little effect."

Liu Hui suddenly realized. "Ah! I remember now. When I used that mind-reading artifact on Shu Yan, you were also present. At the time, I was only puzzled why the artifact couldn't read Shu Yan's mind, but I didn't realize that the artifact came back completely blank—not just empty of Shu Yan’s thoughts, but even yours. I should have noticed the problem then, but I only grasped it now."

Hu Xian'er gave Liu Hui a sidelong glance. "Enough about your broken machine.

You really should care about Shu Yan. Tonight, while trying to cook a nice meal for you to take home, she inadvertently led those people from Binar right to us. Although we ultimately weren't harmed, she has been blaming herself constantly. I've tried to comfort her several times, but it doesn't seem to be working well. I'm worried something might happen to her."

Liu Hui was startled. "Xian'er, this is my oversight. I must go and counsel her immediately. If anyone is to blame, it should be me. How could Shu Yan take all this responsibility onto herself?"

Hu Xian'er said, "Fine, I'll go with you to see her."

Liu Hui said, "Xian'er..."

Hu Xian'er interrupted, "Some things are easier to discuss when women are together. Do you think everyone is as oblivious as you are?"

Liu Hui felt grateful, knowing Hu Xian'er was putting herself through the discomfort of counseling a romantic rival for his own good.

Thus, Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er walked arm-in-arm down the street late at night. The raging storm had passed, moving far away from the "Starry Sky City," much like the colossal tsunami of the past. The dark clouds dispersed, and the bright moon revealed half its face, reminiscent of the Song Dynasty centuries ago, drawing Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er closer together.

Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er arrived beneath Shu Yan's building and headed up. To their surprise, they found An Qi pacing nervously by Shu Yan’s door, hesitating to ring the bell.

"An Qi, what are you doing here?" Liu Hui called out, startled.

An Qi turned, saw Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er, and paused. "Shu Yan seemed quite off tonight. I was worried something might happen to her, so I came to check on her."

Liu Hui felt a warmth spread in his chest. Although An Qi and Shu Yan often quarreled and seemed irreconcilable, An Qi still came to comfort her when she saw Shu Yan was unwell. However, because they usually argued, neither knew how to start the conversation upon meeting, leading to An Qi's indecision at the door.

Liu Hui said, "An Qi, we came to see Shu Yan too. Let's just go in together!"

Saying that, Liu Hui stepped forward and pressed the doorbell. After a moment, Shu Yan opened the door. When she saw Liu Hui, Hu Xian'er, and An Qi standing outside, she froze. "Huifei, why are the three of you here?"

Liu Hui noticed Shu Yan’s swollen eyes, confirming the young woman had indeed been hiding inside crying. He smiled lightly. "Nothing much, just wanted to see if you were asleep yet."

Shu Yan invited the three of them in. Liu Hui and the others sat on the sofa, facing Shu Yan, who sat opposite them. Before anyone could speak, Shu Yan burst into tears in front of them, sobbing, "Huifei, I’m sorry, it was my fault, I caused trouble for you all..."

Hu Xian'er immediately walked over and pulled Shu Yan into a hug, comforting her. "Yan'er, stop crying now. Tonight's incident isn't entirely your fault..."

An Qi also added, "Shu Yan, don't cry. Weren't we all fine in the end? Those bad people got what they deserved. So, don't blame yourself anymore."

Liu Hui added, "Yan'er, this isn't your mistake. Our defense system malfunctioned, which allowed those masters to find an opening and sneak in. In truth, the responsibility lies with me; I let you all get frightened..."

Unexpectedly, the more Liu Hui and the others comforted her, the louder Shu Yan cried. She managed to say, "I’m sorry, I lied to you. I’m not Shu Yan at all."

Liu Hui was greatly shocked and quickly asked, "Shu Yan, what are you saying? If you aren't Sister Shu, how could you possibly know the secrets Shu Yan and I share?"

It wasn't just Liu Hui; Hu Xian'er and An Qi were also stunned, looking at the weeping Shu Yan with confusion.

Shu Yan cried out, "Huifei, I'm sorry, I deceived you. I really am not your Shu Yan. I am actually a time traveler from the year 2046..."
