After Liu Hui bestowed revenge upon Yao Yao, he no longer paid her any attention. Whether or not she could exact vengeance now depended entirely on her own resolve.
Liu Hui dove into the ocean and stood atop Xiaohēi's head as they sped back to "Stellar City" at breakneck speed. All along the journey, he tested Xiaohēi's abilities and was thoroughly satisfied with what he found.
Post its third evolution, Xiaohēi had grown to 300 meters long - equal in length to a large aircraft carrier. Its form had completely transformed into that of a Celestial Dragon from Chinese mythology; no trace remained of the black water snake it once resembled. Now capable of reaching hypersonic speeds at 1.5 times the speed of sound, Xiaohēi could traverse 470 meters underwater per second - an astonishing velocity.
More impressively to Liu Hui was the dragon's greatly enhanced sensory capabilities. Previously limited to a 3-kilometer range, Xiaohēi now had perception extending up to 5 kilometers. More crucially, what once took minutes of slow scanning could now be accomplished in real time as Xiaohēi simply projected its awareness and instantly discerned physical properties - tenfold faster than before. This speed boost would revolutionize deep-sea resource exploration.
Though Liu Hui hadn't tested the maximum control distance yet (he was currently standing directly on Xiaohēi's head), he planned to evaluate this critical parameter tomorrow. The dragon's new body radiated power, its scales forming a defense system of exceptional strength. Without reference points for comparison, Liu couldn't quantify these enhancements exactly, but considering all other improvements, it was clear Xiaohēi had become an inconceivably formidable creature.
Sure enough, when Liu tested the maximum control distance at dusk on the following day, he discovered Xiaohēi could be controlled from 15,000 kilometers away. This meant Liu's position in "Stellar City" granted him command over entire Pacific and Indian Oceans, with parts of the Atlantic within reach as well.
With such unparalleled control range established, "Stellar City" now possessed strategic depth to defend against external threats without ever needing to cross its borders. Every major military power on Earth suddenly found itself vulnerable - anyone daring to threaten Liu's city would first face Xiaohēi's silent but devastating preemptive strike, systematically erasing naval forces until the threat dissipated.
Just as Liu was reveling in these newfound capabilities, Anqi found him at his office. Since deciding to follow Liu without formal recognition, tensions between her and Huxian'er had eased considerably - paradoxically strengthening Liu and Anqi's relationship instead.
"Anqi," Liu said with a grin, "what brings you here? Has my hiring your parents as professors for the Stellar University finally made you come seeking retribution?"
The university Liu had meticulously planned was fully operational after being built in late last year. It accepted children of Star Group employees on its orbital campus, completing the city's educational system from kindergarten through to higher education.
"I should be thanking you," Anqi replied with a smile. "My parents are thrilled to share their knowledge and collaborate with such distinguished faculty."
"Then have you come looking for me because you missed me?" Liu teased.
"If I wanted to see you, it would wait until after work hours - not during business in your office." Anqi paused before continuing. "Actually, our lunar base construction is about to begin. Over one billion tons of prepared machinery and materials await transportation."
Liu's excitement surged further. Recent developments had been remarkably coincidental: Xiaohēi's evolution into his ultimate weapon, the Star Group's profitable ventures in oil futures, and now this new step towards space colonization.
"You believe these materials alone will suffice for base construction?" Liu asked.
"Of course," Anqi said confidently. "We've spent over six months preparing - our supercomputers calculated every detail. With rapid transportation, we can complete the lunar base within half a year."
Liu chuckled. "Leave this to me then. Your logistics are ready?"
Anqi hesitated. "But one billion tons is an enormous quantity..."
"Trust in what made me build Star Group into what it is today," Liu interrupted gently. "I have my methods, and I won't delay your schedule."
"Regarding transportation..." Anqi began.
"Just fabricate standard 9.5m³ containers for sorting cargo," Liu instructed. "Assign sequential numbers to each unit."
Some oversized equipment would defy containerization, but Liu's solution involved either disassembly or space-freight transport at much slower speeds - a last resort given current launch capacity limitations.
"Understood," Anqi nodded before biting her nails anxiously.
Concerning the base workers: they'd all received body-enhancement injections and received specialized training in orbital construction techniques, making them fully prepared for lunar conditions.
Satisfied with these arrangements, Anqi left to address mechanical disassembly challenges while Liu immediately contacted Alexander from the Magic Dimension.
Alexander appeared promptly on the dimension-connection device, his face flushed with excitement. "Dear Teacher! We've captured a major Elven city!"
Liu already knew about the ongoing conflict between Alexander's Light Religion and the Elves. The new super-shells containing hybrid magical beast cores had proven devastating - achieving 90%+ kill rates even against elite Elven warriors.
"We withdrew after looting due to overwhelming numbers," Alexander admitted somberly. "The Elves are mobilizing across their vast nation, amassing five million troops now."
"You're doing the right thing by retreating," Liu advised. "Expand your population base first through proselytization. Recruit other oppressed races too - they'll be powerful allies against the Elven Empire."
Alexander handed over a bag glowing with seven-colored light. "We captured these divine beast cores from their auction house - twenty-four of them for you, Teacher!"
