Seeing that perfectly sculpted body, everyone present froze, and a plume of pink mist began to drift from her form. Hearing this aura, the trio of Wu Yuan, Wu Hui, and Wu Qing frowned deeply. Could this be Fen Zhui’s ultimate technique, the Mist of Boundless Lust?
For any ordinary person, even a Ninth-Rank Demon Lord, maintaining clarity under such crimson fog would be impossible; they would certainly lose themselves immediately, utterly drowned in this world of pink enchantment. Yet, the trio of Wu Yuan, Wu Hui, and Wu Qing were exactly as their names suggested: Unregretful, Unrepentant, Unfeeling.
Their icy state of mind predetermined their resolve, impervious to such bewitchment. The three stepped forward simultaneously, their blood-red longswords plunging directly toward the flawless body.
With a hiss, the three longswords pierced the body, but the deep furrows on the trio’s brows did not ease.
“Hee-hee-hee, goodbye, handsome sirs…” Fen Zhui’s silvery, bell-like laughter echoed from the sky, and a flash of pink light shot upwards, piercing the Twelve Heavenly Witch Annihilation Grand Array before vanishing into the horizon.
Seeing Fen Zhui, who should have been critically wounded and utterly defenseless, escape so easily, Ye Jingyu, Liang Xiaoke, and the others were momentarily stunned.
“What kind of Evasion Technique was that?” Ye Jingyu asked, looking at where Fen Zhui had vanished.
Wu Yuan, Wu Hui, Wu Qing, and even Yue Hen all shook their heads; they only knew Fen Zhui casually and had no idea she possessed such a means of escape.
“That is the Self-Sacrifice Evasion Technique. When cornered, one projects nine-tenths of their cultivation to form a clone, allowing the true body to flee. This is a secret art of Demon King Oglastine, yet she knew it! It seems her connection to Demon King Oglastine is more complex than we thought!” At this moment, the Jiuli Pagoda, grievously wounded by Long Zimu, finally spoke.
Wu Yuan and the others had no doubt about his words. Though the Tage Clan was not as powerful as the Eight Great Royal Clans, they were certainly one of the oldest races in the Demon Realm; as the clan leader, it was hardly surprising he possessed such knowledge.
“To discard nine-tenths of her cultivation—this woman is truly ruthless. We must be exceedingly careful if we ever cross paths with her again!” Upon hearing that she sacrificed such a massive amount of power, Ye Jingyu’s heart shuddered. To cultivate to Fen Zhui’s level must have taken countless years; the readiness with which she abandoned it was astonishing.
The others nodded in agreement, save for Liang Xiaoke, who suddenly let out a loud burp, cursing, “Careful? If I see her next time, I swear I will conquer her completely, body and soul!”
Everyone chose to ignore Liang Xiaoke’s outburst.
At this time, Ye Jingyu had already retracted the Twelve Heavenly Witch Annihilation Grand Array. The vital blood of the three Demon Lords had been completely drained by Liang Xiaoke and the twelve phantom projections. On the ground remained only a silver-white short blade and a silver longsword.
These were the weapons of Hong Feng and Lan Yue: the Wolf Fang Moon and the Sirius Sword.
With a casual gesture, Ye Jingyu drew both weapons to his hands. Looking at these two extraordinary implements, Ye Jingyu’s brows tightened severely.
“What is it?” Liang Xiaoke asked when he noticed Ye Jingyu’s deep frown.
“Look at the slot on the Sirius Sword and the shape of the Wolf Fang Moon!” Ye Jingyu held the two weapons up for everyone to examine.
Upon closer inspection, the others couldn't help but gasp in surprise. “They’re exactly the same?” Liang Xiaoke exclaimed.
“Everyone fall back…” Ye Jingyu said calmly. Streaks of multicolored lightning erupted from his body—the glow emitted by the Battle Soul Divine Armor.
The others immediately retreated several hundred zhang, though this distance made little difference to them. Ye Jingyu held the Wolf Fang Moon in one hand and the Sirius Sword in the other, carefully inserting the former into the slot of the latter…
With a shing, a silver beam shot toward the sky. The entire blade emitted a blinding silver radiance and began to vibrate intensely; only Ye Jingyu’s immense strength kept it from breaking free and flying away.
Watching the violently shaking blade, Ye Jingyu suddenly roared and brought his palm down, unleashing a surge of potent Stellar Power that hammered violently against the sword. The vibrating blade immediately stilled, and the silver light vanished without a trace.
The short blade, Wolf Fang Moon, was now truly set like a wolf’s tooth into the Sirius Sword, which faintly emanated a massive, imposing pressure comparable to the Heaven Venerable Saber.
With a casual sweep, a blade light shot out, instantly pulverizing a nearby hill into dust. Seeing the power unleashed by this single strike, everyone present was stunned; this was vastly stronger than anything displayed before! These two weapons were originally one single entity.
“Wolf Fang Moon represents power, and the Sirius Sword represents speed. Combined, these two form an absolute peerless divine weapon. I truly don’t understand why they never merged the weapon, not even until death?” Ye Jingyu shook his head, then tossed the merged weapon to Liang Xiaoke. Until now, Liang Xiaoke had been fighting barehanded, which was rather pathetic.
“Hahahaha, why should we care why they didn’t use it? In any case, this sword is mine now! I shall name you the Bloodthirsty Demon Sword from now on!” Liang Xiaoke roared with laughter, having witnessed the sword’s might. He unleashed his vast divine consciousness, utterly crushing all the imprints within the blade, then coughed out a mouthful of vital blood, thoroughly refining the longsword.
It was at this exact moment that, deep within the Demon Realm’s far eastern region, in the Enchanted Forest that even Ninth-Rank Demon Lords dared not enter, a man completely covered in silver fur, who had been sleeping on a rock, suddenly sat bolt upright.
“Who? Who erased the mark? Could it be Oglastine? No… Hong Feng and Lan Yue were supposed to be very trusted by him? Oglastine wouldn't move against them? But why would the mark I left there be wiped away? Have they betrayed me?” The man spoke as if to himself, yet also as if addressing someone else.
“Your Majesty, Lan Yue and Hong Feng would never commit treason. Perhaps they truly encountered some unforeseen accident?” At this moment, a phantom silhouette materialized behind the man.
“Is that so? Does that mean all my planning over these years has gone to waste?” A flash of annoyance crossed the man’s face.
“Not necessarily. If they were killed by someone else, then the person capable of killing them must possess the strength to threaten Oglastine. Perhaps this is not a bad thing for Your Majesty after all…” the phantom stated calmly.
“A good thing?” The man’s lips curved into a contemplative expression, and then he broke into a faint smile…
