The Blood-Eye Clan, though few in number, boasted members who were all peerless prodigies. If they wished to align themselves with any faction, any one of the Demon Lords from the Eight Great Royal Clans would welcome them with open arms. Why, then, would they surrender to this upstart who had suddenly appeared?
“Heh, is that so?” Ye Jingyu chuckled faintly, then swiftly drew out twelve white bone chopsticks and tossed them directly into the void. Countless chilling winds surged upward, and black demonic energy erupted comprehensively. It not only encircled the thirteen Blood-Eye experts but also swept up the entire host of over ten thousand Orcs.
The dense black mist began to seep into the bodies of these individuals. The thirteen Blood-Eye experts were somewhat better off; the weakest among them had already reached the Sixth Grade realm and could resist the invasion of the black mist. But the Orcs were merely a rabble whose strength peaked at the Demon General realm, with the vast majority equating only to a Martial Master. How could they withstand the encroachment of the black mist? In mere moments, thousands of Orcs were seen contorting their faces in agony.
Their skin began to rot, their vital essence was devoured, and their bodies started to wither. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, struggling in torment.
The wails of vengeful spirits echoed forth, and occasionally, demonic figures flickered into view. Moreover, twelve colossal phantom images shimmered intermittently in the void, casually snatching these Orcs saturated by the black mist and hurling them into their gaping maws. The entire essence of the Orcs transformed into power for these twelve apparitions.
While the strength derived from a single Orc was minuscule, in great numbers, it surely served some purpose, didn't it? Instantly, the thirteen Blood-Eye members could only watch as these twelve phantoms fought over the Orc bodies as if they were vying for scraps of food.
At this juncture, the clearest, fire-red figure suddenly paused. It turned its massive body and fixed its gaze toward this area. The two fire dragons beneath its feet roared fiercely, seemingly ready to charge over and devour the thirteen Blood-Eye members.
Sensing the terrifying pressure emanating from the colossal shadow, even Wu Yuan Wu Hui Wu Qing felt their very souls tremble.
Especially the trio of Wu Yuan Wu Hui Wu Qing, they could clearly sense that the power of that phantom figure would not vastly exceed their own; it might even be slightly less. Yet, the aura it exuded was so overwhelmingly oppressive that under this pressure, they felt like three ants facing an elephant.
This sensation deeply shocked them. They had never felt this way, even when confronting a Demon King. But why was it manifesting around this single phantom?
Ye Jingyu also noticed the fire-red figure’s intention and quickly brandished the Chiyou Banner. The black mist instantly enveloped the fire-red giant phantom, whisking it away. If he had allowed it to keep watching, who knew if it might suddenly become enraged and simply charge over to deliver a punch to the trio?
Setting aside the risk of draining his own strength, if he allowed that entity to cripple those three, wouldn't his entire expedition to the Blood-Eye Clan have been in vain?
It must be understood that this current, semi-transparent phantom of the Heavenly Witch was condensed entirely from the full might of a Fire Spirit Pearl. Although the majority of its power was used to make its body more manifested...
Only a very small portion remained within it, but even this residual power reached the Ninth Grade! Furthermore, it would uncontrollably siphon his own power, and every single attack was nearly equivalent to a Venerable-tier assault. The final result would likely be the annihilation of everyone present, followed by his own collapse back into unconsciousness.
That feeling of being utterly drained was unbearably awful, and Ye Jingyu had no desire to attempt it again, even though his strength increased significantly after each drainage.
However, seeing that the fire-red figure had managed to subdue the trio of Wu Yuan Wu Hui Wu Qing, Ye Jingyu secretly cheered. Wouldn't securing their allegiance become much easier now?
In that brief moment, the ten thousand-plus Orc warriors had all fallen to the ground. At least half of them were reduced to nothing but bones. Their vital essence, souls, and strength had all been converted into the power of the Twelve Heavenly Witch Annihilation Grand Array.
Looking at the empty ground surrounding them, and watching the numerous demons and the twelve colossal phantoms still sweeping over the fallen Orc warriors, the complexions of Wu Yuan Wu Hui Wu Qing turned utterly ashen.
“Now, do you still feel that eliminating your Blood-Eye Clan would cost me a great price?” Seeing the drastic change in their expressions, Ye Jingyu smiled triumphantly, his eyes filled with immense self-assurance.
Sensing Ye Jingyu’s overwhelming aura, the faces of the three Blood-Eye leaders grew grim. It had to be admitted that the Blood-Eye Clan excelled in individual combat prowess, but they possessed no mastery whatsoever in Grand Arrays. In fact, few in the entire Demon Race showed any talent for array formations. Although this array couldn't bind them personally, within its confines, their vassal races could not withstand any serious assault. If this were combined with the thousands of Minotaur and Celestial Wolf Giants, even their own clansmen, once trapped, would face a dire situation, and the opponent’s losses would certainly not be significant.
Perhaps, in the end, only the three of them would escape alive.
Has the Blood-Eye Clan truly reached its final moments? Has the once-mighty Blood-Eye Clan, which once illuminated the entire Demon Realm, truly reached the brink of extinction?
Even at this late stage, there was no sign of surrender in the eyes of the three, yet their apprehension grew heavier.
The last Demon Emperor of the Demon Realm originated from the Blood-Eye Clan. But following that Emperor's departure, the Blood-Eye Clan was jointly attacked by the other major races, nearly leading to their extermination. Only a meager few managed to escape that calamity, and their numbers had only grown to a few hundred by the present day. How could they willingly allow the Blood-Eye Clan to be wiped out? But how could the proud Blood-Eye Clan submit without a fight? To become mere subordinates to another?
“Actually, I don't truly wish to eradicate your Blood-Eye Clan. How about this: let’s make a wager?” Seeing the flickering light in their eyes, Ye Jingyu smiled—a smile so bright, so captivatingly wicked…
(Today’s Golden Bricks total has reached 2000, so an extra chapter will be added. We are still a few hundred recommendation votes short; everyone put in a bit more effort! I will release two chapters first, and I’ll continue writing tomorrow morning. There are two more chapters pending. If the recommendation votes surpass 2000 today, I will post five chapters in total! Of course, this doesn't count as a burst update; this is just an extra addition. The scheduled bursts for the month will still happen, regardless of this!)
