There is one major difference between starting school after the summer break and starting school after the winter break.

That difference is that for the freshmen, the former ushers in the most important and unforgettable period of their lives; they transition from high school students to university undergraduates. For many of them, this is where their lives of cutting classes, frequenting internet cafes, pursuing romance, or burying themselves in books within the ivory tower will commence.

For the returning students, however, starting after the summer vacation means they get to see a fresh influx of beautiful new female students and handsome new male students.

As a core member of the Student Union, Feng Na was naturally indispensable for the annual welcoming process. Furthermore, having just been promoted to a senior in her fourth year and being a strong contender for the next Student Union President, there was no escaping this kind of mandatory recruitment work.

At Tiannan City Railway Station, the welcoming booths for each school were lined up one after another, forming a squared formation reminiscent of the character '' (return). Handsome and beautiful students from various schools enthusiastically greeted every newly arrived freshman at their respective stations, creating a unique spectacle on the station plaza.

"Nana, get me a bottle of water!" Cheng Cheng fanned herself with a small plastic fan, extending a hand toward Feng Na.

Feng Na pulled a bottle of mineral water from the case at her feet and tossed it over, saying, "How many is that now?"

"One hundred and thirty-eight. Ugh, I'm dead tired!" After Feng Na cheerfully sent off a freshman, her smile immediately vanished. She took a fierce gulp of water, wiped her mouth, and grumbled, "Damn it, all these male freshmen this year are perverts; they just stare at my cleavage!"

Feng Na couldn't help but laugh and scold her, "Stop it. You're enjoying the attention while pretending to complain. Who told you to wear a low-cut athletic shirt that shows off a cleavage trench? Isn't that just for the wolves to look at?"

Cheng Cheng rolled her eyes dramatically. "Even so, they don't have to look like they want to stick their eyeballs right in!"

Feng Na was about to reply when a panting voice called out from nearby, "Feng Na, water!"

Feng Na turned to see Wu Hui, drenched in sweat, returning and shouting at her.

Feng Na grabbed a bottle of water and tossed it to him, smiling as she asked, "Did you see them off? Were the bags heavy?"

Wu Hui twisted open the cap, guzzled a few large mouthfuls, and then dumped the rest of the water over his head. Hands on his hips, he complained, "These freshmen are over the top. They bring everything! Bringing laptops, fine, I can tolerate that. But some even brought televisions! The craziest thing is, someone brought an electric fan! My heavens, my back is almost broken! If any more bags come, you two drag them yourselves; I can't lift anymore!"

Although Feng Na didn't have a particularly good relationship with Wu Hui and wasn't overly impressed with his character, they were still classmates from the Student Union, and they were both helping out here, so she couldn't give him a cold shoulder. She smiled and said, "As the saying goes, the capable do more work. You're the only guy here, so if you don't drag them, who will? Besides, it's normal for freshmen to bring a lot of stuff."

Just as she finished speaking, a very playful voice chimed in from beside them, "Hey, I just overheard you saying bad things about us freshmen!"

Feng Na, Wu Hui, and Cheng Cheng all turned to look. They saw a girl wearing a light yellow, one-piece dress and a creamy-white woven sun hat, blinking her eyes at them.

This girl was very beautiful: big eyes, long lashes, snow-white skin, and stood about 1.65 meters tall, with a well-proportioned and shapely figure that was quite eye-catching.

Wu Hui’s eyes lit up, and he immediately smoothed things over, "Not at all, not at all. Are you a freshman? What's your name, and which department are you in?"

The girl's lips curved up slightly. "My name is Jiang Xiuxiu, and I'm in the Film and Television Performance department."

"Jiang Xiuxiu? Jiang like Chiang Kai-shek, Xiu like scholar?" Cheng Cheng looked up while filling out a form.

Jiang Xiuxiu corrected her, "Jiang like Jiang Qinqin, Xiu like exquisite and charming!"

Cheng Cheng shivered inwardly: This girl truly lives up to her major in film and performance; she's really awfully conceited!

Seeing the beauty, Wu Hui immediately began to play the eager suitor, voluntarily stepping forward to take Jiang Xiuxiu's luggage. Feng Na couldn't help but tease him, "Weren't you just exhausted?"

Wu Hui managed a sheepish laugh and ignored Feng Na's comment. He bent down to lift the two large suitcases beside Jiang Xiuxiu. Jiang Xiuxiu watched with a slight smile, "My bags are very heavy, so be careful."

Wu Hui laughed heartily and waved his hand proudly, "Don't worry, I'm the Student Union's Sports Committee member!" With that, he struck a bodybuilder's pose.

Feng Na and Cheng Cheng exchanged a look of utter exasperation, but Jiang Xiuxiu giggled, watching him clown around.

After Wu Hui finished his pose, he bent down to lift her bags. The moment he did, his body suddenly plunged, nearly snapping his back!

The two large suitcases hadn't budged an inch!

Wu Hui’s face instantly changed color, and he stammered, "What did you pack in here? Bricks? Why is it so heavy?"

Feng Na also walked over curiously to try lifting one, only to feel that the suitcase felt like a massive anchor, completely immovable!

Feng Na secretly stuck out her tongue and smiled at Wu Hui, "Sports Committee member, it’s up to you now!"

Losing face in front of a beauty was not an option for Wu Hui. He gritted his teeth, put forth a sudden burst of strength, and managed to lift both suitcases. However, after just two steps, he had to set them down, panting, "No, no, one at a time."

Cheng Cheng laughed from the side, "You're so dense. You can just drag the bags! Just drag them all the way, right?"

Wu Hui slapped his forehead. "Right! Why didn't I think of that?"

Cheng Cheng muttered quietly, "No kidding. You were too busy trying to show off in front of the pretty girl; your IQ dropped below zero!"

Feng Na accompanied Jiang Xiuxiu while Wu Hui dragged the two heavy suitcases to the school minibus. Wu Hui gritted his teeth, took a deep breath, and managed to heave the bags onto the vehicle. Those few short steps nearly left him panting with his tongue hanging out. By the time he got the second suitcase aboard, he was gasping for air. He couldn't help but think: Later, I'll have to lift these bags off the bus, carry them up to the girls' dormitory for her. If it's the first floor, fine, but if it's the fifth... Good heavens, won't that kill me?

Thinking of this, Wu Hui’s face turned ashen. Even the desire to show off in front of the beauty was gone; his entire focus was now on how to avoid humiliation.

Feng Na seemed to read his mind and said, "Wu Hui, you stay here and welcome the new students. I'll go back with Jiang Xiuxiu. When we get there, I'll call a few guys to help her move. If you aren't here, even if it's just Cheng Cheng and me, we won't be able to move this stuff, right?"

When Wu Hui heard this, his head bobbed like a rattle drum. "Great idea, a great idea!"

With that, he actually turned and walked away, not sparing Jiang Xiuxiu a second glance.

Jiang Xiuxiu watched his retreating back with a smile, murmuring softly, "That senior is actually quite amusing, and he's quite handsome too."

Feng Na smiled, but for some reason, she suddenly thought of Li Yundong, whom she hadn't seen in over two months.

How was he doing? Had he changed at all after not seeing him for more than two months?

Feng Na became lost in thought for a moment. Seeing her zoning out, Jiang Xiuxiu waved her hand in front of Feng Na's eyes and laughed, "Senior, what are you thinking about?" Then, with a knowingly ambiguous expression, she added, "Are you thinking about that senior just now?"

Feng Na spat lightly, retorting sharply, "Why would I think about him?"

Jiang Xiuxiu had an outgoing nature, and she nudged Feng Na with her shoulder with a sweet smile. "Senior, don't be shy!"

Feng Na and Jiang Xiuxiu settled into the car. Feng Na laughed and said, "It really isn't him. Besides, I already have someone I like."

Jiang Xiuxiu's eyes widened. "Who?"

Thinking of Li Yundong brought a mix of sweetness and sourness to Feng Na's heart. She spoke with deep emotion, "You wouldn't know him, so don't ask."

Jiang Xiuxiu made an "Oh," settled back into her seat, and fell silent.

After waiting a while longer and seeing no other freshmen arrive, Feng Na said to the driver, "Master Zhao, please drive us back first."

The driver acknowledged her, and the minibus slowly pulled out of the plaza, merging into the bustling traffic.

Nearly half an hour later, the minibus finally arrived at the entrance of Tiannan University. The driver saw that the two girls couldn't manage the luggage and went to help. The three of them struggled mightily just to get the suitcases off the vehicle.

Seeing how the driver was leaning over, clutching his lower back from exertion, Feng Na felt embarrassed to trouble him further. She said, "Master Zhao, don't worry about it here. You go on back to the station. I'll call a few boys to help."

Master Zhao's eyes were fixed on the two suitcases, which were as heavy as if they were stuffed with rocks. He dared not overexert himself and eagerly replied, "Yes, yes." Then he drove away.

Feng Na said to Jiang Xiuxiu, "Wait here for a moment. I'll go call some guys."

Jiang Xiuxiu watched Feng Na run into the campus and muttered, "Aren't there guys right here? Why does she need to run inside to call them?"

Saying that, she spotted a male student walking not far away and instinctively called out, "Hey, handsome!"

This young man was wearing a white Armani long-sleeved casual shirt and a pair of black trousers of an unknown brand, with sports shoes on his feet. On his back, he carried a black cloth-wrapped, long, thick, and rigid item of unknown nature.

The young man completely ignored her and kept walking forward. Jiang Xiuxiu was momentarily stunned and couldn't help but call out louder, "Handsome! I'm talking to you!" Her voice was quite loud, causing the male students around the campus, whether ugly or handsome, to turn their heads and look toward her.

Yet, this particular young man did not turn his head. Annoyed, Jiang Xiuxiu stomped her foot, rushed up to him, and grabbed his arm, saying loudly, "Hey, I'm calling you!"

But the moment her hand reached out, the young man reacted as if he had eyes on his back, quickly stepping forward and dodging her grasp before turning around to face Jiang Xiuxiu.

Jiang Xiuxiu was about to speak, but her gaze suddenly locked onto the young man, and her heart gave a violent lurch!

This young man stood about 1.75 meters tall, his skin slightly tanned but exuding a healthy, masculine energy. He had thick eyebrows and large eyes that shone brightly, deep and clear. His nose bridge was high and straight, like a proud and imposing mountain range. His lips were sculpted with strong, decisive lines, revealing an aura of unwavering determination and self-assurance.

Jiang Xiuxiu had been surrounded by countless boys since childhood, but she had never encountered anyone so commanding, so intensely masculine. For a moment, she was speechless, staring blankly at the young man before her. The quick-witted, silver-tongued girl couldn't utter a single word.

Jiang Xiuxiu felt that this young man, just by standing there, possessed an aura of stillness and towering majesty—a bearing that the vast majority of men in this world lacked. It was the kind of composure only achieved by someone who had weathered great storms!

The young man looked at Jiang Xiuxiu, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Is there something you need?"

When the young man smiled, Jiang Xiuxiu felt her heart skip a beat. She stammered, "I... I wanted to ask you to help me carry my luggage..."

The young man smiled. "New student?"

Jiang Xiuxiu was someone who usually maintained control of the conversation wherever she was, but at this moment, she found herself involuntarily following his lead. She nodded foolishly, "Yes."

The young man nodded, walked over to her luggage, and pointed at the two suitcases. "These two?"

Jiang Xiuxiu nodded involuntarily, then immediately panicked and said, "Wait a moment, they are very heavy! I'll call two more guys to help, or you won't be able to carry them." Saying that, she ran to the side to find other male students.

But when the other male students looked where she pointed, they immediately burst out laughing. "With him here, what else would we be needed for?"

Jiang Xiuxiu turned back in stunned confusion to see the young man already holding both suitcases, striding purposefully toward the campus interior.

Jiang Xiuxiu was so shocked her eyeballs almost popped out. She quickly caught up to the young man, looking at him as if he were Superman, and stammered, "You... you can lift them?"

The young man slightly tilted his head, looked at her, and smiled. "Seems like I still can."

Jiang Xiuxiu's eyes widened. "They aren't heavy?"

The young man smiled faintly. "Not really."

Jiang Xiuxiu fell silent. Her two suitcases had felled many a valiant suitor along the way; many boys who wanted to strike up a conversation had been scared off by the sight of these bags. Yet, this young man effortlessly lifted them and strode along without a change in expression or breath!

"Is this guy a monster?" Jiang Xiuxiu thought to herself.

She registered, got her dormitory assignment, and the young man carried her luggage up to the third-floor girls' dormitory.

Jiang Xiuxiu noticed that some senior girls in the dormitory building, upon seeing this young man, instantly had their eyes light up, their gazes filled with admiration and reverence. They stood by the stairwell as if saluting him, speaking only in hushed whispers.

"It seems I've accidentally found a major figure on campus?" Jiang Xiuxiu mused to herself.

After placing the luggage, the young man did not linger. Unlike other young men, he made no attempt to chat her up or try to get friendly. He simply said, "This is it, right? I've put your luggage down. I'll be going now."

With that, he turned and walked out the door.

Jiang Xiuxiu froze. "No way! That's so cool? But this level of coolness is practically unforgivable! He didn't even give me a chance to ask his name, phone number, or QQ ID?"

Thinking that, she rushed out, chasing after the young man until she caught up to him at the foot of the dormitory building. She called out loudly, "Hey, I still don't know your name!"

The young man waved a hand without turning back. "My name is Lei Feng!"

Jiang Xiuxiu immediately scoffed, "Pah!"

She was staring after his retreating back in a daze when she heard Feng Na's surprised voice call out, "Jiang Xiuxiu, what are you doing here? Where is your luggage?"

Jiang Xiuxiu turned to see Feng Na standing with two strong-looking young men beside her, looking at her in astonishment.

Seeing Feng Na, Jiang Xiuxiu immediately grabbed her, pointed toward the departing figure of the young man, and exclaimed, "Hey, hey, do you know this guy? Is he from our school? What's his name? Who is he?"
