A sharp shout from Zhou Qin startled He Shao, who had been struggling with Ding Nan's clothing. He looked up, confused, at Zhou Qin. "What is it?"
Zhou Qin, her face cold, said, "Let her go!"
He Shao couldn't help but erupt in fury, releasing the disheveled Ding Nan and standing up. "What are you crazy about? Didn't we agree..."
Before he could finish, Zhou Qin slapped him across the face, her voice fierce. "I've changed my mind, okay!"
With that, she helped Ding Nan up and walked step by step toward the exit, leaving He Shao clutching his face, sitting on the floor, his eyes fixed on their retreating figures.
Ding Nan's face was streaked with tears; her legs felt weak, and she swayed with every step, appearing fragile. Though Zhou Qin had pulled her from the lion's den, she ground her teeth as she spoke. "Zhou Qin, don't think I'll be grateful to you just because of this!"
Zhou Qin snorted. "Who cares about your gratitude?"
Ding Nan hissed venomously. "If I get another chance, I'll still come after you. You listen to me!"
Zhou Qin replied coldly, "Whatever tricks you have, bring them on. I'll be waiting!"
Zhou Qin carried Ding Nan to the elevator entrance. She suddenly stopped, paused as if in thought, and then stepped into the lift, pressing the button for the eighteenth floor.
On the eighteenth floor, Zhou Qin called for a server and handed over a gold card. "Get me a room."
The moment the server saw the gold card, she immediately bowed respectfully. "Hello, madam, for this, you'll need to present an ID at the lobby..."
She didn't finish before Zhou Qin shot her a sharp glare. "Why all the nonsense? Just open the room!"
The server flinched, intimidated by Zhou Qin's overbearing aura. She dared not say more, choosing to act first and report later. She arranged a room for Zhou Qin and then stepped out, face grim, grabbing her walkie-talkie to inform the front desk downstairs.
Zhou Qin tossed Ding Nan into the room. She had intended to leave, but worried that He Shao might hear the news and come back for revenge, she sat alone on a seat, lost in thought.
Her gaze shifted constantly—now sharp, now soft, now bewildered, now sorrowful. No one could fathom the thoughts running through the mind of this deeply calculating girl.
Meanwhile, on the fifteenth floor, He Shao, who had been dazedly watching Zhou Qin and Ding Nan leave, sat numbly on the floor. His gaze slowly turned venomous and resentful.
His chest heaved violently, his face turning purple-red. After a long moment, he suddenly sprang up from the ground, roaring like a maddened, rampaging beast. "Zhou Qin! Why do you always have to cross me!!!"
He Shao destructively smashed everything in the room that could be broken: teacups, the teapot, the phone, the table lamp!
After reducing one chair to splinters, he suddenly, wildly began hurling the remaining pieces of the chair at the plasma television mounted on the wall, letting out bestial howls that sent chills down the spine.
The servers on that floor heard the commotion and rushed over. Seeing He Shao's frenzied state, they were too terrified to intervene and immediately used their walkie-talkies to summon the manager.
By the time the manager hurried over, the spacious suite looked as if a Red Guard unit had passed through. He Shao stood there, gripping a broken chair leg, breathing heavily.
"He Shao, what—what happened to you?" the manager asked quietly, cautiously.
He Shao whipped his head around, his eyes bloodshot and bursting. He sneered. "What happened? I'm asking for a beating!! Damn it!!!"
"Please calm down, He Shao, your health is more important. Getting yourself worked up isn't worth it!" the manager said with a fawning smile, offering him a cigarette.
He Shao didn't even look, swatting the cigarette away with his hand. "Get lost, get lost! Stop adding to my misery here!"
The lobby manager usually struggled to curry favor with figures like He Shao, and seeing this golden opportunity, he wasn't about to leave easily.
He said with oily flattery, "He Shao, tell me who offended you, and I'll handle them for you!"
He Shao turned his head, sizing the manager up with undisguised contempt. "You? Forget it. One finger from the other person could kill you!"
The lobby manager didn't take offense, bowing and scraping. "Yes, yes, I am just a nobody, insignificant in the eyes of great men like you. But if it's about solving a problem for He Shao, I can certainly do a little something."
He Shao, still burning with anger over losing the juicy prospect of Ding Nan, impatiently tugged at his collar. "Enough with the nonsense. Find me a couple of girls. Make them fresh ones; I'm tired of your usual service staff!"
The lobby manager leaned in with a smile and whispered a couple of things. He Shao's eyes immediately lit up. "Twin sisters? Not bad, send them over!"
The manager chirped happily, "Right away, I'll go tell them!"
He hurried out the door, but moments later, he returned with a troubled look. "He Shao, they're refusing to come..."
He Shao instantly jumped up, cursing loudly. "Are you kidding me? You dare say that to me!"
The lobby manager looked distressed. "These two sisters are just college students working temporary jobs; they've only been here one day. If they won't come, I can't exactly force them."
He Shao jabbed a finger at the manager's nose and roared, "Damn your mother! Ninety-nine out of a hundred women in this building are whores, and you think I don't know about the hidden ones? Without my protection, could you live so freely in Tiannan City? Damn it, now I ask you to do one small thing, and you're dragging your feet. Do you want to stop working here? I don't care if you trick them, rob them, coax them, or drag them—just get the women here!"
The lobby manager was startled and quickly agreed. "Yes, yes, I'll go right now." With that, he scurried out the door.
Downstairs in the lobby, Li Yundong and Su Chan had cheerfully eaten so many desserts that their stomachs were round. After letting out simultaneous burps, they shared a smile, finally stopping.
Li Yundong looked at Su Chan, smiling as he reached out to touch her slightly protruding belly. "Little thing, how many months along are you?"
Su Chan didn't dodge; instead, she purred charmingly and flirtatiously. "Three months already, master. You need to take responsibility for me!"
Li Yundong deliberately put on a shocked expression, bending down to place his ear against her stomach. "Oh, three months already? Let me listen. Can it kick yet?"
Su Chan burst into giggles, shrinking back. "Silly! At three months, it's only the size of a thumbnail! You can't see anything outside yet."
Li Yundong straightened up and grinned conspiratorially at Su Chan. "You know quite a bit. Looks like you're experienced. Now, confess, whose child is it!" With that, he pounced and pulled the girl into his arms.
As Li Yundong embraced her, Su Chan felt a flush spread over her body. She turned her head, her eyes full of affection mixed with shyness and reproach. "Let go! So many people are watching!"
Li Yundong looked up and saw indeed that quite a few people nearby were staring at them, dumbfounded. Some women who had been thinking of approaching him backed away.
Not far off, Guo Peng watched Li Yundong and Su Chan laughing intimately, feeling a sharp ache of jealousy and hatred in his heart! Why did he get such a beautiful girl by his side? Why were nine out of ten women in this lobby looking at him!
"Hmph! I can't stand staying here anymore. Are you coming or not?" Guo Peng said to Shi Neng beside him with a cold smile.
Shi Neng had just finished a simple dressing for the injury on his finger. He, too, had been watching Li Yundong, his gaze filled with suspicion and awe.
Seeing that Shi Neng hadn't moved, Guo Peng was about to leave when, suddenly, a figure caught his eye.
Guo Peng's mind exploded: Could there really be such a beautiful woman in this world?!
It was a woman in a white, flowing gown, tall and graceful, her form seemingly enveloped in a thin, white mist—ethereal and indistinct. She only revealed one side of her face, yet anyone who saw that half instantly seemed to lose their soul, staring fixedly, unable to look away, filled with both awe and wonder: What would her full appearance be like?
Shi Neng, being a martial artist, knew how much female allure could harm one's cultivation and therefore never indulged in such pleasures. Yet, upon seeing this woman, his spirit was violently shaken, and his mind went blank!
It wasn't just them. For a moment, everyone in the lobby ceased talking and conversing; all eyes were fixed on this woman. They were all stunned into collective silence by her beauty.
Even Li Yundong, who had been joking with Su Chan, sensed the strange atmosphere. He glanced around, saw everyone looking behind him, and turned back, his eyes instantly widening. A single thought flashed uncontrollably in his mind: Is this woman an immortal descending to the mortal realm? She is that beautiful?!
Su Chan, beside Li Yundong, also curiously peeked around. The sight shocked her so severely that her soul nearly fled her body, and her teeth began to chatter uncontrollably. She screamed inwardly, terrified: Why is it her? Why did she follow me!
Li Yundong, having achieved success in Qi refinement, maintained a firm mind. Though initially stunned by Zi Yuan's beauty, he quickly recovered. He felt Su Chan trembling slightly behind him and couldn't help but turn to glance at her.
He saw Su Chan gripping his clothes tightly, as if afraid he might run away. The girl stared at Zi Yuan with terrified eyes, as if she had encountered the most horrifying demon in the world!
Li Yundong asked, bewildered, "What's wrong?"
Su Chan's voice trembled. "That is Zi Yuan Zhenren, the Eldest Senior Sister of the Ling Gong Sect of the Orthodox Unity teaching. She reached the Nascent Soul realm at the age of twenty—the strongest expert among the younger generation in the cultivation world! She—she's here to capture me!"
