Li Yundong and Su Chan didn't know how long they had been holding each other, until the moon in the sky was entirely shrouded by clouds, as if embarrassed to look upon the deeply affectionate young man and maiden any longer.

The little girl gradually grew tired of crying, her sobs coming sporadically. Wiping her tears, she mumbled, "How did you ever think to look for me here?"

Li Yundong smiled, helping the little girl dab her eyes, and said, "Haven't you heard a saying?"

The girl, her nose clogged from crying, spoke with a thick nasal tone, "What saying?"

Li Yundong laughed and replied, "Though a pair of colorful phoenixes have no wings to fly together, a single thought connects their hearts!"

The little girl burst into a giggle, "Who is connected to you by a single thought? You’re annoying."

Li Yundong chuckled, extending his sleeve toward the little girl, "Hurry and wipe it; a snot bubble is about to pop out!"

Su Chan huffed indignantly, "You're the one with a snot bubble! You’re the annoying one, I do not!"

Yet, as she spoke, she grabbed Li Yundong's sleeve and scrubbed her face with it, much like a cat washing its face.

Once she was done wiping, Su Chan contentedly let go of Li Yundong's arm and looked up, only to find him smiling broadly at her. Su Chan couldn't help but blush, "What are you looking at? Don't you dare laugh at me!"

Li Yundong smiled, "Alright, alright, I won't laugh at you. But lean closer, and I'll whisper a secret to you."

Curious, Su Chan leaned in close and whispered, "What secret?"

Li Yundong whispered back, "Actually, that wild scrubbing you just did smeared snot bubbles all over your face!"

Su Chan gasped in alarm, crying out, "Ah? No way? What am I going to do?" Saying this, she covered her face with both hands, burying her head in Li Yundong's embrace.

Li Yundong burst into laughter, "Tricking you!" As he said this, he reached out to pull the little girl up, but she kept her face covered, refusing to lift her head.

After Li Yundong persuaded her with much effort, the little girl wiped her face repeatedly before finally raising her head, her face crimson, and asked nervously, "Is it still there? Will I look terrible?"

Li Yundong smiled and pinched her cheek, "Silly girl, I told you I was only kidding."

Su Chan couldn't help but pout, "You're awful, truly bad! This little miss isn't talking to you anymore!" With that, she tried to run off.

How could Li Yundong allow the little girl to escape his grasp? He quickly pulled her in, drawing her down into his arms, hugging her tightly, "Where are you running to!"

Su Chan giggled, her hands tightly gripping Li Yundong's arm. Her heart felt warm, full, and incredibly secure.

Seeing the little girl under the moonlight—her eyes bright and teeth white, her gaze like flowing water, incomparably radiant and lovely—Li Yundong couldn't resist leaning down and pressing a light kiss upon Su Chan’s rosy, plum-like lips.

Su Chan trembled, her body instinctively going soft. She looked up, gazing intently at Li Yundong, and murmured, "Yundong, aren't you afraid I'm a fox spirit?"

Li Yundong laughed, "Don't you know I only like little
