Cao Ke-fei had no idea what had just transpired. All she remembered was the sudden onset of a heart attack, and then a blank, until, in a hazy state, she felt a rush of intensely hot, potent energy pour down from above her head, flooding her entire body.
Wherever this energy traveled, it was like a life-giving rain falling on parched earth, restoring vitality. Especially when the energy reached the center of her core, she was struck by a pleasure so profound and unprecedented it felt like towering waves crashing against the shore—absolutely overwhelming and uncontrollable!
After an involuntary cry escaped her lips, Cao Ke-fei gasped for air and forced her eyes open, only to find every person nearby staring intently at her with strangely fixed gazes. The embarrassment was so acute she wished she could simply vanish into the ground.
Li Yun-dong was equally taken aback by Cao Ke-fei’s intense reaction. He cleared his throat dryly and managed, "Ms. Cao, are you alright now?"
Cao Ke-fei’s ears were burning crimson. Though she was several years older than Li Yun-dong, in that moment she felt as exposed and helpless as a young girl stripped bare in front of him, utterly flustered and unable to speak from mortification.
Yin Meng-fan, standing nearby, quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Ms. Cao, you had a sudden heart episode; Li Yun-dong saved you."
Yet, Cao Ke-fei was a seasoned professional. She took a deep breath, and much of the redness faded from her face. She forced herself to regain composure, nodded to Li Yun-dong, and managed a seemingly calm thank you, though her voice still trembled slightly. "Thank you."
Seeing that she was stable, Li Yun-dong also secretly let out a sigh of relief. He gave a polite, smiling nod. "It was nothing, just a small effort."
It truly was just a small effort!
Cao Ke-fei’s cheeks flushed scarlet again. She subconsciously glanced down at Li Yun-dong’s hand, her legs involuntarily tensing.
Can a woman be brought to such a state by a mere touch? Where did he touch me? No—surely he didn’t touch that in front of everyone? Cao Ke-fei’s mind was a chaotic mess, yet she remained oblivious to the terrifying debt collection violence that had erupted moments before she lost consciousness.
Noticing Cao Ke-fei was completely disoriented, her eyes darting around vaguely lost in thought, Yin Meng-fan clapped her hands loudly. "Alright, alright, it’s over now. Everyone disperse. Xiao Zhang, take that brute down to the security office downstairs. Xiao Li, quickly organize everyone back to their stations!"
With that, the crowd finally broke apart in a murmur. The men lingered, casting greedy, lingering glances back at the stunningly attractive Cao Ke-fei, while the women kept glancing back at Li Yun-dong, whispering amongst themselves and speculating about his identity and background.
Shen Hui, who had been hiding in the stairwell, was certainly shocked that Li Yun-dong had revived a heart patient on the verge of death in an instant, but this only solidified her conviction that this young man was a supreme, unparalleled prodigy of the ages!
To cause a woman such a reaction in public—if that’s not lechery, what is it? Worse yet, the hypocrite actually lectured me with a sanctimonious air! Shen Hui thought through gritted teeth. I absolutely must expose his true colors!
With that resolution, she shot one last venomous look at Li Yun-dong before turning and rushing down the stairs.
Yin Meng-fan held onto one of Cao Ke-fei’s arms and asked softly, "How are you? Are you feeling any discomfort anywhere?"
Cao Ke-fei’s eyes were swimming with glistening moisture, the aftershocks of the intense climax seemingly not yet gone. When she took a step, her legs wobbled, and she bit her lip, feeling an overwhelming, uncomfortable sensation welling up inside her. She shook her head and whispered, "I can't walk."
Although Yin Meng-fan possessed the demeanor of a strong career woman, her body was that of a delicate female. How could she possibly support the voluptuous beauty of Cao Ke-fei?
After supporting her for just a few steps, Yin Meng-fan was already sweating profusely. She turned to Li Yun-dong with exasperation. "What are you standing there for? Can't you lend a hand?"
Li Yun-dong glanced at the continuous stream of onlookers, then at the breathtakingly beautiful Cao Ke-fei. He certainly didn't want to be embroiled in any gossip with the office beauties on his very first day; he wouldn't be able to face the little girl back home if he did.
Li Yun-dong looked genuinely conflicted. "This... is this really appropriate?"
Yin Meng-fan was furious, blurting out, "You caused this state in her just now, and now you’re saying that?"
The moment those words left her mouth, the previously chattering office fell instantly silent. All the furtive glances that had been darting around snapped into focus, fixed upon them in surprise and astonishment.
Li Yun-dong looked aggrieved. "I was saving her life just now!"
Yin Meng-fan, a mixture of anger and embarrassment, glared at him. "And I’m telling you to help now! Come over here!"
Cao Ke-fei was determined to play the ostrich, keeping her head down and saying nothing. No one could gauge her expression, except for Li Yun-dong, who supported her, noticing that her perfectly rounded earlobe was flushed so deeply it looked as if it might bleed.
The instant Li Yun-dong’s hand touched Cao Ke-fei’s arm, she trembled violently. Her legs instinctively weakened, and her entire body leaned into him.
Yin Meng-fan, watching from the side, was utterly speechless: Oh, Cao Ke-fei, are you just waiting for him to help so you can fall into his arms? You don’t have to be this spineless, do you?
She didn't know that Cao Ke-fei was currently overwhelmed with pleasure, and Li Yun-dong possessed a pure Yang constitution. The moment their opposing energies met, the intense masculine aura from Li Yun-dong made her response unavoidable and fierce. Furthermore, the intense gratification she had just experienced lingered, filling Cao Ke-fei with a confusing mix of shame, irritation, and humiliation as she contemplated how she would face this young man, and indeed, her staff, in the future.
After Li Yun-dong helped the limp Cao Ke-fei to an office chair and settled her down, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to Yin Meng-fan. "Ms. Yin, everything is settled here now, right? Can I leave?"
Yin Meng-fan scrutinized him with a strange look in her eyes, musing to herself: Where did Zhou Qin find such a strange creature? Why does he act so bizarrely? What kind of technique was that he used to save Cao Ke-fei, that touching the top of her head could reduce her to that state?
Yin Meng-fan recalled Cao Ke-fei’s appearance moments earlier, and suddenly she felt an unfamiliar itch deep in her own body, as if a small fire had ignited below her abdomen.
"Ms. Yin?" Li Yun-dong noticed Yin Meng-fan staring at him but remaining lost in thought. He felt compelled to ask again.
Yin Meng-fan snapped back to attention. "Ah? Yes? What is it? Oh, right, you can go. But the police might come by later to take statements, just answer them truthfully."
Li Yun-dong nodded his acknowledgment, turned, and walked out.
Only after Li Yun-dong was gone did Cao Ke-fei, who had been hiding in her seat, finally let out a long, slow breath, like an ostrich finally pulling its head out of the sand. But then, she suddenly felt as if something vital was missing from beside her.
When Li Yun-dong was present, Cao Ke-fei had been unbearably shy, but now that he was gone, she felt a strange sense of loss, her expression growing somewhat vacant.
Yin Meng-fan saw this clearly and couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "Do you want me to call him back?"
Cao Ke-fei glared at her, mortified. "Even you are making fun of me!"
Yin Meng-fan covered her mouth, chuckling. "He is your savior, after all. It’s only proper to call him back for a formal thank you!"
Although Cao Ke-fei had a naturally flirtatious nature, being intimate in private was vastly different from such an exhibition in public. She covered her face with both hands and lamented mournfully, "I wish I were dead right now! How am I supposed to show my face to anyone after this?"
Yin Meng-fan sat beside her, placing her hands on Cao Ke-fei’s shoulders, and smiled. "Come on, a miserable life is better than an honorable death! In a while, everyone will forget about this."
"I hope so..." Cao Ke-fei murmured to herself, trying to believe it.
After a moment of mournful silence, she suddenly looked up, biting her lip, and asked in a shy, hesitant manner, "Yin Meng-fan, I... I need to ask you something."
Yin Meng-fan guessed what the question might be and stifled a smile. "Go ahead and ask."
Even though Cao Ke-fei was a mature, experienced woman, bringing up such a topic with a friend felt intensely shameful. She fidgeted for a long time before stammering out, "How—how exactly did he save me? Why did I react like that? He... he didn't, didn't do that, did he..."
After asking, Cao Ke-fei stared wide-eyed at Yin Meng-fan, anxiously awaiting the answer.
Yin Meng-fan couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Don't worry, what could he possibly do to you with everyone watching? Do you think he’s insane? Or that we all just vanished? He only pressed down on the top of your head; he didn't do anything else."
Cao Ke-fei immediately relaxed but then asked, puzzled, "Why did I react that way just from him pressing my head?"
Yin Meng-fan smiled teasingly. "What reaction are you referring to?"
Cao Ke-fei became exasperated and chastised her, "Yin Meng-fan, stop pretending you don't know what I mean! I refuse to believe you’re still a virgin!"
Yin Meng-fan laughed heartily. "I actually am a virgin. Want me to prove it?"
Cao Ke-fei laughed back in mock anger. "Pah! I wouldn't believe that if you paid me! How old are you and still a virgin? And you’re so beautiful—are all the men in the world blind or crazy?"
A shadow of sadness flickered across Yin Meng-fan's eyes, but she quickly changed the subject. "Do you know why pressing the top of your head cured your heart condition?"
Cao Ke-fei’s attention was successfully diverted from the embarrassing subject. She said, her face full of disbelief, "You know?"
Yin Meng-fan spread her palms wide. "How could I possibly know?"
Cao Ke-fei scrutinized Yin Meng-fan suspiciously, then suddenly pressed her. "Spit it out! What is this guy’s background? Where did you dig up such a rare specimen?"
Yin Meng-fan replied, "My friend Zhou Qin introduced him. At first, I thought he was just some rich second-generation layabout looking for a free ride!"
Cao Ke-fei paused. "Zhou Qin? You don't mean Zhou Ke-qiang’s daughter, do you?"
Yin Meng-fan nodded. "Who else? The eldest daughter of the Zhou family!"
Cao Ke-fei grew subtly tense. "Recommended by Zhou Qin? What’s her relationship with Li Yun-dong?"
Yin Meng-fan seemed to read her mind instantly, pursing her lips into a smile. "Don't worry. I haven't heard anything suggesting a relationship between Zhou Qin and Li Yun-dong. Besides, isn't Zhou Qin engaged to Young Master He?"
Cao Ke-fei made a face. "Another political marriage!"
Although they were powerful women in business, their focus was primarily on commerce, leaving them with relatively little attention paid to politics. Thus, they were completely unaware of the recent upheaval involving the broken engagement between the Zhou and He families.
Yin Meng-fan patted Cao Ke-fei’s shoulder and laughed. "Are you relieved now? You can go after him openly and boldly! A relationship with an older woman isn't exactly unheard of, you know!"
Cao Ke-fei’s cheeks were bright red. "Pah! Nothing good ever comes out of your mouth! Who said I'm chasing him!"
Yin Meng-fan chuckled. "But seriously, don't you find this guy incredibly bizarre? In this world, what kind of heart attack is cured by just pressing the top of the head? Hey, are you really sure you're fine now?"
Cao Ke-fei took a deep breath, pressing one hand against her soft, rosy chest, and stated with certainty, "I have never felt so completely comfortable in my life!"
Yin Meng-fan looked bewildered. "Really? That’s unbelievable!" She involuntarily recalled the sentence Zhou Qin had spoken to her over the phone: “This is a true powerhouse, you must use him where he’s most needed.”
A true powerhouse?
Could this guy be one of those legendary martial arts masters who disappeared from history long ago? Yin Meng-fan wondered aloud, murmuring the thought to herself.
Cao Ke-fei heard her and couldn't help but laugh. "Master? He’s not just a master—he’s a master, master, master!"
