Having spent considerable time with Li Yundong, Su Chan was no longer as carefree as when she first arrived in the mundane world. She looked at him with deep worry and sadness, murmuring, "I've caused you trouble again..."
Li Yundong slung an arm around her shoulder and lightly tapped her head. "Silly girl, this isn't your fault. It's just that teachers nowadays have increasingly poor professional ethics!"
Su Chan felt a little better, but gloom still clouded her brow. "But, but, will you be expelled?"
Li Yundong let out a hearty laugh. "If they really want to kick me out, let them! What's so great about this third-rate, bogus university anyway!"
Su Chan remained deeply concerned. "But, didn't you promise to have a match with someone? Isn't today the exchange day?"
Li Yundong sneered, "Whoever wants to go can go, but this master isn't serving them! Besides, it’s not that I don't want to go; it's that they won't let me! Right?"
Su Chan fell silent, lowering her head and lightly scuffing the ground with her toe.
Seeing the little girl’s face so full of shadows and anxiety, Li Yundong felt a pang in his heart, yearning to instantly smooth away the worry etched on her brow.
He reached out, cupped Su Chan's chin, and lifted her face, deliberately flashing a mischievous grin. "Hey, doll? What's making you unhappy? Come on, give your master a smile!"
Without waiting for Su Chan's reaction, he then feigned a look of sorrow himself. "Not smiling? Then your master will give you a smile?"
Saying that, he poked his own dimples with his index fingers and cracked a wide grin, brilliant as that of a five or six-year-old child.
Su Chan, being just a young girl at heart, burst out laughing. She cooed, "Master, your smile is so ugly!"
Li Yundong feigned anger. "You think my smile is ugly? Show me a beautiful one then!"
Su Chan flashed a brilliant smile, utterly captivating, her peach-blossom eyes crinkled into crescents. Li Yundong was so mesmerized he lost all sense of direction, his heart pounding wildly.
Li Yundong secretly marveled and sighed: No wonder King You of Zhou in ancient times committed the foolish act of lighting the beacon fires just to see the smile of Bao Si! How many men in this world could withstand the destructive power of a smile like that?
"Good, good, little girl, your smile is beautiful. It makes this master happy, so..." The displeasure in Li Yundong’s heart was swept away by the little girl’s enchanting smile. He waved his large hand grandly, "Your master is taking you out to play!"
The moment she heard 'play,' the little girl lit up, grinning so widely her nose almost disappeared. She quickly grabbed Li Yundong's arm, as if afraid he might go out and play without her. "Where are we going, where are we going?"
Li Yundong chuckled. "Didn't I promise to take you to the amusement park last time? Let's go, we're going to the amusement park!"
Su Chan was both delighted and confused. "Yay, yay! But what is an amusement park?"
Li Yundong was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. "You don't even know what it is, yet you’re so excited? Idiot!"
Su Chan pouted. "Don't call me an idiot, I'm not!"
Li Yundong laughed heartily. The little girl had done her hair up today; if he messed with it, it would unravel and look a mess. So, Li Yundong reached out and pinched her cheeks instead. "You're not an idiot, you're just endearingly silly!"
Su Chan slapped his hand away with a pa. "Stop it, you!" After a moment, Su Chan seemed to remember something and asked, "Does 'silly' mean the same thing as 'idiot'?"
Li Yundong chuckled. "Nonsense! Calling you silly is praising you for being endearingly simple! Calling someone an 'idiot' is an insult! It means someone is so hopelessly dense and brainless that they're beyond saving. You must never learn such vulgar words!"
Su Chan stuck out her tongue, smiling. "Okay, if you don't want me to say it, I won't."
The two bantered and laughed their way as they hailed a cab and headed straight for the amusement park in Tiannan City.
It was already the end of May, almost approaching the June 1st Children's Day. The amusement park in Tiannan City was adorned everywhere with bright colorful balls and festive lanterns.
Before even entering the gate, Su Chan was captivated by the lively scene. She curiously scanned her surroundings, tugging Li Yundong's hand, wanting to visit every little stall in the plaza.
Li Yundong smiled and held the little girl back, saying, "Alright, we can eat when we leave. If you eat too much now, you might throw up later!"
Su Chan asked in confusion, "Why would I throw up?"
Li Yundong gave her a playfully wicked smile. "You'll find out in a bit!"
Since the actual Children's Day hadn't arrived yet, the park wasn't overly crowded. Li Yundong only waited briefly in line before buying two all-access tickets and leading Su Chan inside.
As soon as they entered, Li Yundong mischievously pulled Su Chan straight towards the tallest and most conspicuous ride in the park: the "Space Shuttle."
Although the park wasn't packed, the Space Shuttle was a highlight attraction, so there was already a fair queue. Li Yundong and Su Chan waited in line for a full half hour before it was their turn.
The two sat down on the Space Shuttle. Li Yundong crossed his arms against the safety bar and grinned at Su Chan. "If you get scared, you can scream as loud as you want!"
Su Chan sat upright, the lowered safety bar pressing against her ample chest, drawing the gazes of the surrounding people toward her, as if they were eagerly anticipating how this girl would fare on the ride.
Su Chan blinked. "Why would I need to scream?"
Li Yundong giggled. "Because you’re scared! Didn't you see everyone else screaming their heads off when they went up and down earlier?"
Su Chan made an "oh," thinking to herself: So that's why those people were yelling when they went up and down—they were all scared! Such little fortitude!
Seeing Su Chan's expression remain unchanged, Li Yundong secretly smirked: Hmph, let her act tough. We'll see how scared you are in a moment!
Li Yundong had ridden the Space Shuttle before and knew just how thrilling it was. Even grown men couldn't handle it, let alone a delicate-looking little girl like Su Chan.
After the DJ in the control room hyped up the crowd, the Space Shuttle suddenly launched. These four rows of riders, front, back, left, and right, were catapulted tens of meters into the air in just two or three seconds, only to plummet rapidly afterward.
This sensation of instant ascent followed by sudden weightlessness made Li Yundong feel like his heart had jumped into his throat, ready to pop out any second.
Although he had achieved success in Qi Condensation, no matter how much one cultivates Qi, unless they reach the Eighth Layer Realm of 'Golden Body,' it is absolutely impossible to transcend the physical limitations of the body. The sensations the physical body experiences, even a great cultivator will faithfully feel; their powerful will cannot override the flesh.
As the Space Shuttle hurtled downward, the riders screamed in terror and excitement, their cries overlapping like the squealing of slaughtered pigs. Even Li Yundong couldn't help but shout loudly.
When the ride finally stopped, an exhilarated Li Yundong glanced beside him. He saw Su Chan sitting quietly, staring blankly. Li Yundong smirked internally: *The little girl is scared
