"Oh, not much. I'm thinking about what we should do next," Liu Hui withdrew his gaze.
Wei Chao's woman having an affair had nothing to do with Liu Hui, and he certainly wouldn't tell Wei Chao. If he chose to tell Wei Chao, it would likely backfire, creating a rift between him and Wei Chao—a foolish move Liu Hui was unwilling to make. Thus, he pretended not to see the little loli and the handsome guy getting intimate.
However, Liu Hui still felt a strange stirring in his heart. It was as if he saw Wei Chao swaggering around wearing a bright green hat, surrounded by those stunning beauties who might very well continue to make him wear the green hat. He suddenly recalled the recently popular movie The Carnal Prayer Mat, and the classic line spoken by its protagonist, Wei Yangsheng: He who covets the flesh of women, his wife and daughter will likewise be coveted.
"For our next stop, let's ride the Ferris wheel! From up there, you can see almost all of Hong Kong’s scenery. How about it?" Hu Xian'er grabbed Liu Hui's hand and started to act spoiled. Her adorable, coquettish voice sent shivers all over Liu Hui's body.
"Alright, let's go ride the Ferris wheel," Liu Hui agreed.
Around noon, outside the gates of the Disneyland park. A family of three was happily emerging from the park. The little girl leading the way was running around excitedly, while her parents kept calling out to her from behind. But the little girl was disobedient, continuing to dart around randomly, until she suddenly bumped into someone. A man cried out in pain and fell to the ground.
The little girl's parents were startled and rushed forward to check. They saw the man lying face down, struggling in agony, with blood continuously flowing out from beneath him. The little girl immediately burst into tears from fright.
"Little brother, what's wrong?" Two men suddenly rushed out from the side and ran to the man on the ground.
The man lying on the ground groaned and rolled over, tightly pressing his right hand against his abdomen to stop the bleeding. There seemed to be a large wound there. With his left hand, he weakly pointed at the little girl and said, "This little brat knocked me over." Then he fainted.
The two men immediately stood up, grabbed the little girl's father, and shouted, "Your daughter knocked down our little brother! Our little brother is finished! What are you going to do about this?"
The family was already terrified out of their wits, trembling uncontrollably, unable to utter a word, while the little girl cried even louder.
"Kid, since you're not from around here, just give us some medical fees, and we'll take our little brother to the hospital ourselves. Afterward, you won't have anything more to do with us, and we won't bother you again," the man holding the little girl's father said viciously.
The other man nearby immediately took off his shirt, revealing a body covered in tattoos, glaring menacingly at the couple.
"Brother, let's talk this out peacefully. Don't get impulsive, don't get impulsive," the father said, though he didn't understand why a mere bump would cause such a severe injury. Judging by the current situation, he knew he would have to pay a hefty medical bill.
"Hmph, my little brother's injuries are extremely serious. It will require at least one hundred thousand Hong Kong dollars, and we need it immediately. Otherwise, if he bleeds to death, you will be charged with intentional homicide. Then you can prepare to rot in jail," the man holding the father snarled.
"Let's talk it out, we'll pay," the father stammered, completely bewildered, and instantly succumbed to the threats, only wanting to pay to avoid further trouble.
The man's face immediately lit up with joy; he hadn't expected this mainland visitor to be so easy to fleece. But in the next moment, he regretted it, feeling he had asked for too little, and was already trying to think of another excuse to extort more money when his accomplice tugged at his sleeve.
"Get lost, can't you see I'm busy?" the man roared.
"Brother Wei, look at that person..." ** pointed toward someone emerging from Disneyland.
"Who is more important than what I’m doing right now?" Brother Wei turned around and looked in the direction ** was pointing.
"Oh, it's her. The young lady from the Hu family. Heaven is truly helping me! Cao Ji, why the hell are you still lying on the ground? Get up and get to work!" Brother Wei kicked the man lying on the ground, who had apparently fainted from serious injury.
"Boss, did you get the money?" Cao Ji jumped up.
"Get your sister! Hurry up and call the boss, tell him we found the young lady from the Hu family," Brother Wei cursed.
Cao Ji also spotted Hu Xian'er coming out with Liu Hui, and his face lit up with delight. He quickly pulled out a mobile phone and dialed a number to report the situation. The three of them then ignored the unfortunate couple, ran to a hidden spot, and began watching Hu Xian'er's movements.
The family of three stood dumbfounded. The seriously injured man lying on the ground had suddenly jumped up, full of life and vigor, showing not the slightest sign of injury. They immediately realized they had likely run into professional scammers pulling a classic extortion trick. They couldn't figure out, however, why the men had abandoned them just as they were about to hand over the money. But they quickly understood that this was not a safe place to linger, and they hurriedly got into their car and left the area.
Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er had spent the entire morning at Disneyland, experiencing all the high-tech rides. Liu Hui couldn't help but admire the technology and creativity of the Disney company; the attractions they set up were incredibly captivating and thrilling, making one want to return for a second visit. No wonder they attracted tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.
When lunchtime arrived, Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er left Disneyland. At the entrance, they were spotted by the three master scammers. Yet, Liu Hui and his companion were unaware that their mere appearance had secretly done a great service to a family.
"Xian'er, are you hungry? Let's have lunch here first, then we can go to Wong Tai Sin Temple to burn incense and pray," Liu Hui said to Hu Xian'er after checking the time, noting it was already noon.
"Buffalo, you decide what's best, I'll listen to you," Hu Xian'er replied with a sweet smile.
"Alright, let's find a place to eat nearby," Liu Hui said, then signaled A Huo to look for a spot.
A Huo quickly found a restaurant near Disneyland. Liu Hui and Hu Xian'er ordered some simple home-style dishes, chatting while they ate, replenishing their energy.
Liu Hui rarely went out for fun; fundamentally, he was a country bumpkin. Today, Disneyland had opened his eyes, and his spirits were immediately lifted. After finishing lunch with Hu Xian'er, he excitedly set off towards Wong Tai Sin Temple.
Liu Hui's convoy began driving towards Wong Tai Sin Temple. His car was in the center, flanked by two vehicles in front and behind, providing protection.
Liu Hui was comfortably chatting with Hu Xian'er, who was briefly sharing interesting tidbits about Hong Kong. As they were enjoying their conversation, A Huo adjusted his earpiece, listened for a moment, and then reported, "Boss, Car Three spotted a tail. Someone is tracking us."
"Oh, there are actually people who aren't afraid of death," Liu Hui said, instantly furious. Two days prior, his company had been attacked, but because the perpetrators were American special forces—too powerful for him to retaliate against—he had been simmering with suppressed anger. He hadn't expected to be tailed in broad daylight. However, with Hu Xian'er by his side, Liu Hui did not let his anger show.
"Can we know who is tracking us? Could it be the police secretly protecting me?" Liu Hui considered one possibility, thinking the police might be guarding him.
"Probably not. The trackers look like street thugs. One of them was shirtless, covered in black tattoos," A Huo replied.
"Street thugs? When did we ever get involved with them? Why are they following us?" Liu Hui asked, perplexed.
"Boss, insufficient data for analysis. How should we proceed? Should we request backup from General Wu at company headquarters?" A Huo asked. He was a very cautious man and wanted to nip even the slightest danger in the bud.
"Not for now. Let's observe their movements a bit longer," Liu Hui said.
Hu Xian'er, hearing A Huo mention thugs following them, looked slightly uneasy. But since Liu Hui was consulting with A Huo on countermeasures, he didn't notice Hu Xian'er's expression.
Liu Hui's convoy proceeded down a small road. After taking a sharp turn, they ascended a mountain road. After driving on the mountain road for a while, A Huo spotted several vans speeding towards them, completely blocking the road ahead so that their cars couldn't pass. Just as A Huo prepared to reverse, several more vans rushed up the road behind them, blocking their retreat. The vehicles in front and back immediately cornered them.
As soon as the vans stopped, the doors flew open, and a crowd of men rushed out. Their attire was varied, but all were shirtless, brandishing broadswords, looking exactly like triad members from the movies. They charged forward with shouts, instantly surrounding Liu Hui's three vehicles.
Liu Hui's car was blocked, then surrounded by these men, but Liu Hui felt no concern. These charging men were indeed just common thugs, not heavily armed American special forces. Furthermore, judging by their equipment—only crude broadswords—his security personnel could handle them easily. After all, all five security guards had been injected with the complete Body Evolution Fluid.
The thugs surrounding the convoy began banging on the car bodies with the hilts of their broadswords, constantly making strange "Ooh-ooh" noises.
Liu Hui spoke to A Huo, "Send one brother down to see what they want."
A Huo spoke into his earpiece: "Wang Liu, get out and see what the other side wants."
The door of the car in front opened, and a young man stepped out, shouting loudly, "Who are you? What exactly do you want?"
The group of thugs immediately stopped banging on the cars and opened a gap. A greasy, bald man slowly walked through the opening towards Wang Liu.
"The Zhonglian Gang is operating here. Unrelated personnel should clear out immediately," the bald man said arrogantly to Wang Liu as soon as he entered. The thugs behind him immediately let out loud shouts to put pressure on Wang Liu.
"Oh, it's the bosses of the Zhonglian Gang. A pleasure, a pleasure. But perhaps you've mistaken us for someone else? We don't know you," Wang Liu replied, cupping his hands toward the bald man.
"Damn it!" the bald man shouted.
"Second Boss, I'm here," a voice rang out from outside the encirclement. Then, a man squeezed his way in—it was the leader of the three scammers from earlier.
"Damn it, come take a look, are the targets correct? Are these the right cars?" the bald man asked. He had also noticed that the car Wang Liu was driving looked very luxurious and carried an imposing air that made it hard for him to judge their true depth. He suddenly felt hesitant, fearing they might have the wrong targets and incur needless enmity, so he called ** in to confirm.
"Second Boss, the young lady from the Hu family is in the middle car. I saw her get in with my own eyes, absolutely no mistake," ** stated confidently. He was thrilled in his heart; if he achieved such a major accomplishment today, how would his boss reward him? Perhaps he'd be allowed to lead a Hall, meaning he wouldn't have to cheat people on the streets anymore.
Seeing that the target was correct, the bald Second Boss waved his hand, and the thugs immediately swarmed toward the car where Liu Hui was sitting. A Huo heard the exchange through his earpiece and realized that their target was Hu Xian'er in his car.
"Boss, how should we handle this?"
"So they were targeting Xian'er. But since they are targeting my people, I won't let them off easily. Tell the brothers to move now. Make sure that bald man doesn't escape," Liu Hui roared, immediately ordering the security personnel to engage and capture the bald Second Boss for questioning.
Hu Xian'er, listening beside him, felt a secret joy when she heard Liu Hui's words, especially the phrase, "targeting my people." However, she was also worried that Liu Hui might come to harm. Her heart was in turmoil.
A Huo said into the earpiece: "All personnel, engage immediately! Do not let these people get close to the Boss's car. Make absolutely sure we capture the bald Second Boss alive."
Wang Liu, standing in front of the bald Second Boss, heard the command through his earpiece and immediately stepped forward, preparing to grab the Second Boss. The Second Boss, being an old hand, began retreating into the crowd as soon as he gave the order to attack.
Seeing Wang Liu charge towards them, several thugs immediately swung their broadswords at him. Wang Liu reached to his waist, and a baton instantly appeared in his hand. He swung the baton to meet the incoming broadswords. Liu Hui had spared no expense on the security personnel's equipment; this baton looked perfectly ordinary, but it was exceptionally hard within, holding remarkable hidden power. When the baton met the broadswords, the blades were instantly swept away and shattered, while the baton remained completely undamaged.
The thugs were greatly shocked. When their broadswords struck the baton, they felt an intense force that not only broke their weapons but also left their arms numb and tingling. A few desperate thugs among them immediately dropped their broken broadswords and rushed forward barehanded, attempting to grapple Wang Liu to hold him up, relying on their superior numbers to let the other thugs hack Wang Liu to death.
Wang Liu had sharp eyes and ears everywhere. With several continuous side kicks, he sent the thugs trying to grapple him flying into the air, only to fall far onto the ground, whether they were dead or alive unknown. Wang Liu charged into the midst of the thugs, his baton whirling up and down, instantly knocking down several of them.
As Wang Liu launched his surprise attack, the three security personnel in the other two cars also got out, drawing their batons and ferociously charging toward the thugs. There were about seventy or eighty thugs surrounding Liu Hui’s car, and every one of them was armed with a broadsword. Seeing the few security guards charging toward them, they suddenly brandished their blades with extreme ferocity and hacked at the guards.
In the bald Second Boss's imagination, his men were formidable and should quickly take down the security guards, then abduct the young lady from the Hu family, achieving great merit for the gang. But to his utter astonishment, every one of these security guards was no ordinary fighter. Wielding their batons with ferocious, grim expressions, they charged into the midst of the thugs, knocking them down one by one with a single strike, while they themselves remained completely unharmed.
A Huo stood guard in front of Liu Hui's car, while the other four security personnel charged into the group of thugs like tigers entering a flock of sheep, swinging their batons and beating them to the ground. The thugs who were struck cried out in agony on the ground. The other thugs, seeing how ferocious these security guards were, let out a cry and scattered in all directions. The broadsword squad the bald Second Boss had painstakingly assembled was instantly routed, scattered and disorganized.
The four security guards moved quickly and soon apprehended the fleeing thugs, throwing them on the ground. The thugs shivered on the pavement, watching them in terror.
The situation reversed instantly. The bald Second Boss was dumbfounded, but he quickly snapped back to reality. He scrambled into a van, intending to drive away from these security 'killing gods.' As soon as Wang Liu saw the bald Second Boss attempting to flee, he sprinted over and lifted the rear of the van. No matter how hard the bald Second Boss slammed the accelerator, the rear tires only spun uselessly; the vehicle couldn't move an inch.
Another guard walked over. Ignoring the locked doors, he simply yanked, and the door tore open as if it were made of paper. Amidst the bald Second Boss's screams, he was dragged out of the car and pulled back to A Huo like a dead dog.
Liu Hui rolled down his car window. A Huo quickly leaned in and asked, "Boss, how should we deal with this one?"
Liu Hui told Hu Xian'er to stay in the car, then got out and stood before the bald Second Boss, asking, "Who are you? Why did you target Miss Hu?"
"Heh heh, don't be so proud. You think defeating us makes you so formidable? Our Zhonglian Gang is the local power broker in Hong Kong; we have countless experts, and no one dares offend us. Since you've offended us today, your future days will be miserable. We will make you regret ever crossing us. If you know what's good for you, let us go quietly, and include a medical fee of eighty or ninety thousand, and we can pretend nothing ever happened," the bald Second Boss, though defeated in the fight, maintained his swagger as a gangster; his mouth was still very tough as he tried to intimidate Liu Hui.
"A Huo, break all of these men's legs," Liu Hui said to A Huo.
