The plane touched down at Hong Kong International Airport. Before the group had even cleared customs, Liu Hui’s phone rang.

“Boss, have you arrived?” a voice inquired.

“Manager Zhao, we’re here and about to exit the terminal. Where are you?” Liu Hui asked.

“We’re right at the arrival exit. You’ll see us as soon as you come out!” Manager Zhao replied.

As Liu Hui and his party stepped through the exit, they saw more than thirty people holding a large banner that read: Welcome Mr. Liu Hui to Hong Kong! Standing at the forefront of the group was a middle-aged man, slightly slender in build.

“Manager Zhao, long time no see,” Liu Hui greeted the man with a smile.

“Boss, we’re thrilled you’ve come to Hong Kong. With you here, we finally have our backbone,” Manager Zhao said, stepping forward excitedly to shake Liu Hui’s hand. The people behind him spoke in unison: “Welcome, Boss, to Hong Kong.”

“Alright, it’s too crowded here. Let’s head back and discuss things there,” Liu Hui said with a smile.

“Right, let’s go back to the factory first. Please follow me, everyone.”

Manager Zhao led Liu Hui’s group and the welcoming party to the airport parking lot, where three luxury coaches were waiting. Once everyone was aboard, the vehicles started moving towards the direction of Starlight Pharmaceuticals.

Starlight Pharmaceuticals was located in Tai Mong Tsai, a bay in Hong Kong’s New Territories, situated on the southern tip of the Clearwater Bay Peninsula. It was a remote fishing village whose residents primarily relied on fish farming rafts. Tai Mong Tsai is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and its sea exit to the northwest is narrow, resembling a bulging bag, which is how it got its name. Liu Hui’s Starlight Pharmaceuticals was situated to the north of Tai Mong Tsai.

The location of Starlight Pharmaceuticals was quite isolated. The coach took an hour to reach the site. When Liu Hui alighted, he saw the pharmaceutical plant buildings. Although he had seen photographs of the factory before, seeing the facility with his own eyes filled him with excitement.

All the factory buildings were newly constructed, appearing neat and orderly, strictly established according to GMP standards. The entire site occupied a vast area, enclosed by an outer wall. However, only a fraction of the area was built up; ample undeveloped land remained, providing room for future expansion of the drug manufacturing complex. Adjacent to the factory buildings were the employee dormitories and administrative zones, where residential blocks and office towers had already been erected, fronted by a significantly large plaza.

As those who had disembarked with Liu Hui stood in this plaza, they were stunned by the sheer scale of the pharmaceutical plant. They hadn't imagined that the factory Liu Hui mentioned would be this immense. Not only in land-scarce Hong Kong, but even in the Mainland, few drug manufacturers possessed such a grand scale. Their earlier gloom vanished upon seeing the magnificent facility; they all felt the future held limitless promise.

“Boss, everyone’s rooms have been prepared. Shall we let them settle in first, rest up, and then proceed with the welcome banquet?” Manager Zhao asked cautiously.

“Everyone, please follow the staff to choose your rooms, rest well for now, and then join us for tonight’s welcome reception,” Liu Hui announced with a clap of his hands.

Having endured a long flight, everyone was somewhat tired, so they followed the staff to find their accommodations. Liu Hui and his parents were assigned an extra-large suite. The room was lavishly decorated, fully equipped with every type of furniture imaginable. His parents were dazzled and full of praise.

Liu Hui only stayed in the room for a short while. He asked his parents to rest first, then headed to his office in the administrative building. He made separate calls summoning Mei Peng and Zhou Tengyun.

Mei Peng and Zhou Tengyun found Liu Hui’s office. Mei Peng exclaimed dramatically, “Boss, you’re incredible! Without us realizing, you’ve established such a massive enterprise in Hong Kong. I feel more exhilarated here than we were in Bashan! Look at your office—why is it so luxurious? It has everything. Those people thought we were finished once they drove us out, but they never expected us to have a company here!”

“Second Brother, I merely prepared for a rainy day ahead of time. Truthfully, I never wanted to actually have to use this contingency; it would mean I couldn't stay in the Mainland anymore,” Liu Hui replied calmly.

“Boss, why Hong Kong? It’s not exactly safe here either. Why not go abroad?” Zhou Tengyun inquired.

“Third Brother, do you think the State would let us go abroad? They can’t allow people who know this many secrets to slip out of their control. While they don't have the absolute grip here in Hong Kong that they do on the Mainland, it’s still their territory. They feel safer knowing we’re here. If we demanded to go overseas, they might have already eliminated us,” Liu Hui explained.

“Boss, we are still controlled by them here in Hong Kong. Isn’t there any place free from their control?” Mei Peng grumbled, frustrated.

“Second Brother, don’t worry. This place is different from the Mainland. The laws and regulations here are robust. As long as we operate within the rules and pay our taxes according to the law, we are free. When they enter Hong Kong, they must also abide by the local rules. The only disadvantage for us is that our future products might not be able to enter the Mainland. As for a place entirely free from anyone’s control, I think I have found it. However, this place requires all of us working together to reach it. Will you join me?” Liu Hui said seriously.

Mei Peng paused, then immediately said, “If such a place truly exists, I am willing to go with you.”

Zhou Tengyun stated coldly, “Wherever the Boss goes, I go!”

Liu Hui stood up, placed a hand on Mei Peng and Zhou Tengyun’s shoulders, and smiled, “Since that is settled, let us create this place together. We will leave a legend on this earth. Hong Kong is merely a stepping stone for us.”

“Boss, where is this place you speak of? All the land on Earth has long been divided among others. Where are we going to find this place? Is it the South Pole?” Mei Peng asked, confused.

“Heh, don’t worry. This place is currently in my mind. I will let it manifest slowly. On the day it appears, we will make the world gasp in astonishment,” Liu Hui chuckled.

“I believe in the Boss,” Zhou Tengyun suddenly remarked. Ever since following Liu Hui, having witnessed a string of impossibilities, he was certain Liu Hui could bring that place into being.

“Boss, the hospital is gone now. What should we do next?” Mei Peng asked.

“Our most crucial task right now is to use the facilities at Starlight Pharmaceuticals to produce new drugs that will shock the world, rapidly accumulating immense wealth for us,” Liu Hui stated.

“Boss, have you discovered new medicines from ancient texts again?” Mei Peng inquired.

“You are absolutely right. Look,” Liu Hui pulled a small vial from his pocket and placed it on the desk. The vial contained a white powder.

“What is this…” Mei Peng carefully picked up the small bottle.

“The medicine you are holding is specifically for treating myopia. Upon taking this drug, no matter the severity of the nearsightedness, vision will immediately return to its best state,” Liu Hui explained.

“Are you serious? Can this drug be that miraculous? There is no medication in the world that can completely cure nearsightedness! If what you say is true, we’re going to be rich! Remember, the number of nearsighted people worldwide has already reached nine hundred million,” Mei Peng’s jaw nearly dropped.

“For this drug, my target price is one thousand RMB for citizens of Huaxia and one thousand US dollars for overseas consumers. Can you calculate how much money we can make in total?” Liu Hui smiled.

“This…” Mei Peng had only begun his calculation when he was terrified by the astronomical figure. Even Zhou Tengyun, standing nearby, was visibly moved by the number.

“Don’t be too surprised; I haven’t finished yet! This medicine can cure nearsightedness completely in one dose, and it guarantees that anyone who takes it won't suffer from myopia again for five years,” Liu Hui added with a smile.

“So miraculous, it can prevent recurrence for five years? Wait, you said five years. What happens after that?” Mei Peng had already sustained enough shock, but he still caught the subtle implication in Liu Hui’s words.

“After five years, if one doesn't pay attention to eye hygiene, they can still become nearsighted!” Liu Hui stated flatly.

“Boss, I admire you immensely; you are the very model of a shrewd businessman. This way, our supply of myopia patients will be endless, continuously generating enormous profits for us, and we won't have to worry about running out of business in the future,” Mei Peng said in awe.

Liu Hui reached into his pocket again and pulled out another small vial, placing it on the table. It also contained a white powder.

“Boss, what is this?” Mei Peng looked at the bottle with surprise.

“This is a new drug for treating Hepatitis B. Hepatitis B patients will be instantly cured after taking our new medicine,” Liu Hui introduced.

“Boss, just kill me now, I really can’t take it! How could you even produce a cure for Hepatitis B? You know there are nearly four hundred million Hepatitis B sufferers globally. Before, there was no cure for this disease. If they all become our consumers, think of the sheer profit!” Mei Peng was becoming slightly hysterical.

“I plan to set its price the same as the myopia drug.”

“I’m not calculating anymore; I’m numb,” Mei Peng said, numbed by excitement.

“Second Brother, look again!” Liu Hui produced another bottle from his pocket as if by magic.

“What is this?” Mei Peng, having been overly shocked, calmed down instead.

“This is a medication for diabetes.”

“Boss, I have to check your pockets!” Mei Peng suddenly jumped up and pulled Liu Hui’s pockets inside out, but no matter how much he looked, there were no more vials inside.

“Second Brother, stop checking. That’s all there is for now,” Liu Hui spread his hands open.

“Boss, just who are you? You usually know nothing about medicine, yet you’ve produced so many new drugs—and critically, these drugs target diseases that were previously incurable. Forget it; if you get rich, I get rich. I don’t want to dwell on it anymore,” Mei Peng stared at Liu Hui, speechless.

“Second Brother, what is this diabetes you just mentioned?” Zhou Tengyun asked curiously.

“Diabetes is the disease where you pee sweet urine, and ants come to eat it. This condition cannot be permanently cured even with existing medication. But that’s not the main point. The crucial thing is that there are up to three hundred million diabetics worldwide—all of them potential consumers! My God, these three drugs are driving me crazy,” Mei Peng stammered incoherently.
