Tang Wen looked at her with melancholy, paused for a long moment, and then said softly, "He and I were never a match." Ziye blinked. "If you became the Tang Sect Master, would you be?" Tang Wen let out a dry laugh.
"If you didn't want him and me to fall out, then you and I wouldn't fall out with him." Ziye shivered with distaste and cautiously asked, "Teacher, what has stimulated you recently?" Tang Wen: "..." Meanwhile, outside the room, An Junlie was frantic, but Bulan stood guard at the door, barring entry. He thought hard, then spotted Xiao Cheng passing by.
He instantly grabbed him and said, "Xiao Cheng, help me knock on that door. Don't let Ziye and Tang Wen get intimate." Xiao Cheng looked bewildered.
"What's wrong with being intimate? Ziye is intimate with all of us." An Junlie nearly exploded.
"Never mind, never mind, just make sure they aren't together." Xiao Cheng was even more confused. "But they clearly are together right now." An Junlie desperately wanted to punch him, and he wouldn't even apologize.
Since Xiao Cheng was unreliable, he had to take matters into his own hands. To show his composure, An Junlie straightened his clothes and walked toward Bulan with an air of calm assurance.
Before he could speak, Bulan said expressionlessly, "No loitering allowed." An Junlie instantly felt the urge to kill someone. He suppressed the impulse, ignored Bulan, reached out, and tapped the door.
"Little sister, are you done talking? We're about to reach the Tubar Galaxy; we need to prepare to switch ships." After speaking, he eagerly pressed his ear against the door, waiting for a reply.
However, the soundproofing was too good; he couldn't hear a thing. An Junlie once again lamented the effectiveness of that powerful soundproofing technology.
Xiao Cheng followed behind him to the door and asked Bulan confusedly, "Are they having a baby in there?" Bulan: "...Why would you think that?" Did An Junlie accidentally infect him with his dullness? Xiao Cheng stated righteously, "On our planet, people only lock themselves in a room when they are having a baby." "That's right!" Xiao Hei popped his head out from behind.
"Why are you all gathered here? Who is having a baby?" The other youths, seeing the crowd forming at the door, also came over to see the excitement.
Bulan: "..." He suddenly felt it necessary to call Tang Wen out, otherwise, given the nature of these dense individuals, within ten minutes the entire escort ship crew would believe Tang Wen and Ziye had given birth. Good heavens, the way human minds work in this world is terrifying!
Bulan activated the comms and reported this tragic situation to Tang Wen. Tang Wen merely smiled.
"It doesn't matter. Since they've misunderstood, let them misunderstand completely." Bulan had always only obeyed Tang Wen.
Since Tang Wen said so, he complied, standing rigidly by the door, refusing passage to anyone who approached. An Junlie was furious.
He stalked off to the captain's quarters and made a ship-wide broadcast: "Docking with the battleship in five minutes. All passengers on the escort ship, please prepare to disembark." One advantage of the ship's broadcast system was that anyone on board could hear it.
An Junlie refused to believe they wouldn't come out! Xiao Cheng looked confused.
"Why do we have to leave the ship?" Bulan explained, "There's a battle raging in space. The escort ship is an easy target to draw fire.
Switching to the battleship is safer. Hurry up and go to the docking corridor." Xiao Cheng glanced at the closed door, then back at Bulan.
"What about you? Still waiting for them to have a baby?" Bulan twitched the corner of his eye sharply.
"Yes." Xiao Cheng walked to the door and pounded on it loudly. "Hurry up and come out!
Stop having babies! We have to switch ships!" He had no control over his volume; everyone within dozens of meters could hear him clearly.
Bulan silently prayed for Tang Wen, Young Master, it’s not that I’m not helping you, but the sheer power of the ignorant masses is too great... And he, inadvertently, had become an accomplice to those ignorant masses.
Fortunately, that fellow Tang Wen paid no mind to what others thought and continued his own way. Upon hearing the broadcast, he only smiled faintly and said, "Ziye, have you ever met your mother and father?" Ziye froze instantly.
"No, I haven't. Why?" Tang Wen offered no explanation, stood up, and said, "We need to switch ships now; we can talk later." With that, he took her hand and walked toward the door.
Ziye frustratedly shook off his hand, anxious. "Tell me the truth, do you know something?" Tang Wen didn't answer.
He reached the door, pulled it open with one hand, pushed her out, and turned back to Bulan, who was standing there silently chastising himself. "Let's go, time to switch ships." An Junlie, having finished his broadcast, returned to find Ziye, intending to board the Angel Domain battleship with her.
From a distance, he saw Ziye chasing after Tang Wen. Alarmed and angry, he hurried after them.
"Ziye, they are returning to the Tang Sect's plunder ship; that's not our route!" Ziye didn't look back. "I need to talk to Teacher about something.
I'll come back with you later." An Junlie nearly overturned a table. What kind of love potion had Tang Wen slipped her?!
Undeterred, he pleaded, "Whatever you need to discuss, I'll come with you. Wait for me." The youths heading toward the corridor, following the staff's directions to prepare for the ship change, all felt their gossip engines ignite, asking as they lined up, "What happened?" Xiao Cheng finally had a chance to shine and loudly announced, "I know!
Our goddess has abandoned him and locked herself in a room with another man to have a baby!" An Junlie's face instantly turned pitch black. The staff members all looked at An Junlie with expressions of sympathy, disbelief, and gossip combined.
The poor commander had been cuckolded! Truly, one shouldn't be too kind-hearted!
When they returned, they absolutely had to tell Vice Commander Lan Li to properly discipline the commander! Worse still, Tang Wen walked up to the youths, holding Ziye's hand, and smiled sweetly, "Who told you you have to be locked in a room to have a baby?" The youths' eyes instantly turned green.
Did that mean he could give birth in public? So powerful, so mighty, so valiant!
Tang Wen tilted his head, thought for a moment, and said seriously, "Clones have very low requirements for location; almost anywhere will do as long as there's medical equipment." Unfortunately, the youths were all picturing the scene of giving birth in public, their noses nearly bleeding three feet high, and completely missed the last part of what he said, thereby solidifying the terrifying rumor that Tang Wen and Ziye were reproducing in full view of everyone. An Junlie was speechless.
Bulan saw the situation was deteriorating and stood up to prepare the shuttle. Just then, the plunder ship approached nearby.
He signaled Tang Wen, who shoved Ziye into the shuttle. Tang Wen and Bulan jumped onto the shuttle together, lowered the shield, and slipped away from the docking bay.
An Junlie could take no more. He charged to the center of the docking bay, spread his arms wide, and blocked the shuttle.
"Tang Wen, not unless you step over my dead body!" No man could tolerate another man taking his woman away, especially since An Junlie had only just found Ziye again! The youths realized the situation was dire and rushed forward to hold An Junlie back, dragging him away from the corridor.
"Don't do anything rash! If the goddess didn't choose you, it means you didn't try hard enough.
If you try hard enough, she'll surely come back to you!" Pinned down and unable to move, An Junlie cried out in anguish, "Ziye, why are you leaving with him?! Why?!" Tang Wen smiled slightly and whispered something in Ziye's ear.
Ziye’s expression instantly changed. Sitting on the shuttle, she only managed to make an 'wait for me' gesture before Bulan engaged the thrusters, and the shuttle flew away from the escort ship.
An Junlie slumped to the ground in frustration. Damn it, Tang Wen!
He climbed up from the floor, watched the next shuttle materialize from the conveyor belt, leaped forward, jumped aboard, lowered the shield, and chased after Tang Wen's shuttle. He absolutely would not let Tang Wen take Ziye away!
Tang Wen's shuttle exited space and smoothly slotted into the docking corridor extended by the plunder ship, achieving a perfect, seamless connection. As Ziye watched the shuttle enter the plunder ship, experiencing a brief moment of darkness, she turned her head toward Tang Wen in the gloom.
"What did you just say?" —She felt like she had heard something momentous. Tang Wen did not answer.
Only when the shuttle passed through the darkness and light was restored did he turn to face her, his gaze intensely serious. "You heard correctly.
I have met your father. Your father is my father." Ziye's heart clenched again.
She forced a smile. "Teacher, stop joking.
I know that's impossible!" The shuttle stopped. Bulan opened the shield and stepped out first.
Tang Wen remained seated, saying seriously, "Why do you think it's impossible?" Ziye answered without hesitation, "We don't look alike in any way. You are tall, beautiful, and intelligent; you are a genius and the Young Master of the Tang Sect.
I share nothing in common with you." Tang Wen leaned back in his seat, closed his eyes slightly, and murmured, "Don't you think our aptitude for mecha and warships is identical? Don't you think our personalities and methods of operation are very similar?" Ziye countered, "That's because our teacher is Tang Shan!" Tang Wen started to speak, but he opened and closed his mouth.
"Come back to the Tang Sect with me, and I will give you the truth." Ziye stared at him blankly. In the depths of his casual eyes, she thought she saw an infinite seriousness.
Suddenly, she felt afraid—afraid that what Tang Wen said was true. If she truly had a connection to the Tang Sect, her life might never be peaceful again.
She would rather believe both her parents were dead. Otherwise, how could she convince herself that her parents abandoned her for over a decade, letting her endure all sorts of hardships until she finally grew up, only to acknowledge her now?
She slowly shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't want to know." With that, she jumped out of the shuttle.
Just then, An Junlie's shuttle shot in. The moment he saw her, he immediately lowered the shield.
Without a word, Ziye jumped onto An Junlie’s shuttle and commanded, "Alien, take me back!" An Junlie’s tense heart finally settled in that instant. He cheerfully responded, "Yes!" and slammed the activation button.
The shuttle shot out of the corridor like an arrow. The battle had shifted, and the Tubar Galaxy had returned to tranquility.
An Junlie climbed into the back seat and wrapped his arms around Ziye... -RS
