Their twelve eyes stared at each other in a moment of mutual assessment. The six old monks chanted Buddhist salutations in unison, greeting one another.

The Mysterious Old Monk chuckled dryly, clasping his hands in reverence towards the Moonlight Bodhisattva: “Bodhisattva, long time no see. Are you well?”

The Moonlight Bodhisattva returned the gesture with a strange look on his face: “Venerable One, it has indeed been a long time for us both. I never expected to find the Venerable One here!”

After staring at each other for a stretch, the two old monks cursed silently at the same time. Gu Xichen had bound them securely, but the position was altogether too base. The Mysterious Old Monk and the Moonlight Bodhisattva were fastened facing each other, positioned exactly like a pair of lovers caught in a fervent embrace, their lips less than half an inch apart.

Struggling briefly, the Mysterious Old Monk and the Moonlight Bodhisattva simultaneously discovered the nature of the chains binding them, immediately causing both to erupt in furious curses. To utilize such a rare Innate Material refined into a treasure merely for the sake of mockery—the person orchestrating this behind the scenes was both excessively extravagant and profoundly bored.

Had they been brought into the Chaos Space with such vast divine power just so they could gaze awkwardly upon one another?

Clearing his throat, the Moonlight Bodhisattva offered a strained laugh: “This humble one was touring outside and accidentally swept in here by the chaotic currents. And you, Venerable One?”

The Mysterious Old Monk also replied with a forced chuckle: “The same, the same. I was ordered by the Great Sage to collect herbs in the chaos and was inadvertently drawn over.”

The six monks all burst into hearty laughter, nodding repeatedly: “So that is how it is. We are indeed fortunate to have this connection!”

After laughing for quite some time, the six monks simultaneously struggled with fierce desperation. Slowly, with great difficulty, they managed to stretch the restraining chains further and further apart until they finally slipped free from their bindings. They clasped their hands in unison, chanting a Buddhist salutation, then turned their gaze toward the entrance passage to the Nine Heavens and Nine Earths, which was right before them. After a moment of contemplation, the Moonlight Bodhisattva chuckled awkwardly: “I never imagined the tidal forces of chaos would sweep us here.”

The Mysterious Old Monk sighed deeply: “Indeed, indeed. After all our arduous journeying, we have returned to our homeland.”

Exchanging a glance, the two bald elders laughed simultaneously: “Since we are here, let us make the best of it. How about, ahahahaha!”

With a soft utterance, the Mysterious Old Monk nodded: “This old monk remembers, I had a few named disciples back then who remained in the Polo Nimita No-Pride-No-Delight Heaven.”

The Moonlight Bodhisattva feigned surprise and shouted: “Is that so? This humble one also has several outer disciples remaining there! Are your named disciples perhaps cultivating in seclusion within the Great Snow Mountain of Returning Wild Geese?”

The Mysterious Old Monk clapped his hands repeatedly in great laughter: “Precisely, precisely! It is indeed the Great Snow Mountain of Returning Wild Geese. In that case, what a destined encounter, what a destined encounter!”

The Moonlight Bodhisattva’s smile grew even brighter: “Truly destined... Ah, perhaps we should return to the Great Snow Mountain of Returning Wild Geese and visit those disciples?”

The Mysterious Old Monk could no longer wait and spun around to flee. A Golden Lotus Platform instantly materialized beneath his feet, carrying him and his two junior brothers, Langyue and Biyue, as a streak of golden light that tore through the void, plunging into the Polo Nimita No-Pride-No-Delight Heaven. The Mysterious Old Monk shouted without turning back: “That suggestion perfectly suits my desire! Let us depart swiftly. Ah, it has been many years; this old monk truly misses them!”

Beneath the Moonlight Bodhisattva’s feet, a white Lotus Platform surged forth, likewise carrying him along with the Arhats Subduing Dragons and Subduing Tigers. They transformed into a white light, shooting into the Polo Nimita No-Pride-No-Delight Heaven. The Moonlight Bodhisattva laughed dryly: “Indeed, indeed. Although those disciples’ root bones were somewhat lacking, they were exceedingly respectful to this humble one. This one has also missed them dearly over the years.”

The two cunning, old bald rogues spouted nonsense that even a ghost wouldn't believe, transforming into streaks of golden and white profound light, racing through the void at incredible speed. Ignoring the waste of vital energy, they unleashed the Star-Sky Great Shift technique, rocketing through the Polo Nimita No-Pride-No-Delight Heaven.

With their cultivation and magical power, the Star-Sky Great Shift technique was incredibly swift. They casually struck the void, creating a massive black hole a hundred li in diameter, annihilating the space where it struck. They surged forward through the black holes they created, covering a distance equivalent to ten thousand star fields in the mortal realm within a single breath.

Black holes stretched across the void, and before the first one could vanish, the six old monks had already arrived above the Great Snow Mountain of Returning Wild Geese.

But they were too late. Gu Xichen had exerted considerable hidden force when he attacked them; the six monks had been unconscious for a full fifty months before waking. By the time they arrived, the entire Great Snow Mountain had fallen completely into the hands of the Protector Heavens, and large numbers of Buddhist cultivators had been slaughtered as sacrifices to the Primordial Demon God worshipped by the Protector Heavens.

Apart from those massacred, many other young and beautiful nuns and handsome young monks were seized and hauled into the Three-Linked City. The Protector Heavens, filled with visceral hatred for Buddhism, vented their rage and resentment upon the nuns with unrestrained fervor. Simultaneously, the female demons, who also harbored intense hatred for monks and nuns, tormented the young monks to their limits.

These heavenly host of protectors had cultivated Buddhist arts yet had also mastered secret demonic arts. The captured monks and nuns had their essence, spirit, and mind completely drained within just two or three days. Their Buddhist Zen power became nourishment for the Protector Heavens' host. Their flesh and bones were cast into sacrificial fires, burned to ashes as offerings.

Those belonging to the Asuras, Yakshas, and Rakshasas, who practiced the most sinister ancient demonic arts, collected the bones of billions of monks and nuns. They constructed the most evil and venomous ancient altars upon the highest peaks of the Great Snow Mountain.

The sacrificial fires of more than a dozen ancient altars flickered with a ghastly greenish flame, shooting high into the sky and dyeing the overhead clouds green.

The captured Buddhist cultivators were tossed onto the altars one by one, like lambs. It was visible how they were reduced to nothing more than dust and smoke by the horrific green sacrificial fire, vanishing without a trace. Massive demonic power descended from the high heavens, injecting itself into the Asura Demon Kings and Asura Celestial Gods presiding over the rituals, nourishing them until they grew ever more powerful.

At the highest altar, the Three Great Titans—Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu—led the most important Celestial Gods, including Indra, and the most crucial Demon Kings in the sacrifice. These members of the Protector Heavens, regardless of gender, stripped naked, cutting their bodies with various golden blades, allowing their blood and their spirit to merge with the sacrificial fire.

They breathed in unison with the leaping flames, chanting eerie, ancient sacrificial songs while endlessly dancing and circling the fire.

One by one, highly cultivated old monks and nuns of Buddhism were tossed into the sacrificial fire. Unlike the other altars, the monks and nuns thrown onto this one suffered no immediate harm. They stood within the flames as the ghastly green fire continuously streamed into their bodies through every pore, burning them until their entire forms glowed a sickly green.

The naked Goddess Lakshmi floated before these monks and nuns engulfed in the fire, displaying a charming, demonic smile, performing the Dance of the Heavenly Demon. Heavenly blossoms scattered around her, and innumerable showers of light drifted down from the void. Vaguely seen above, the Eightfold Host of Celestial Beings churned—a scene of boundless portents.

Goddess Lakshmi sang the unique lullabies of the Heavenly Demonesses in a gentle tone, her hands, like ethereal hooks, lightly stroking the primordial spirits of the monks and nuns, coaxing their resolute, Buddha-seeking hearts to flutter and leap, causing a trace of their Buddhahood to be slowly eroded.

Boundless visions appeared before these monks and nuns, coupled with the burning of their bodies by the sickly green demonic fire; before they could react, their illusions shattered, and their entire minds were controlled by the Heavenly Demoness Lakshmi.

The Buddha-hearts of these spiritually accomplished monks and nuns were pierced and swallowed. Their hearts filled with the seven emotions and six desires, teeming with countless cravings. Within the green sacrificial fire, they engaged in the acts of eating, drinking, and mating. The highly respected masters of Buddhism were instantly reduced to mere illusions.

The green sacrificial fire traveled through their bodies, incinerating their Buddha-hearts, rendering their entire Buddhist cultivation to naught.

On the foreheads of these monks and nuns, a rune signifying slavery and baseness slowly emerged. The ghastly green sacrificial fire seared the skin on their foreheads, branding this rune firmly in place. The rune burned through the flesh, burned through the bone, all the way into their brains. A pungent stench of charred flesh rose to the heavens. These monks and nuns, who were luxuriating in carnal pleasure, shuddered and shrieked simultaneously.

When these monks and nuns ceased to be monks and nuns, but rather slaves transformed by demonic power into the host of the Protector Heavens; when the Buddha-hearts of those whose cultivation rivaled that of Buddhist Bodhisattvas and Buddhas were destroyed; when their lifetime beliefs were utterly erased; when they were completely transformed into pawns and toys controlled by the Protector Heavens—countless points of light shot out from the Wheel of the Heavenly Dao.

In the projected world, tens of thousands of large and small law light wheels slowly spun upon the massive, perfect body. When the beliefs of these monks and nuns were destroyed, their beliefs and their Zen insight were offered as sacrifices. Their fall and their corruption were offered as sacrifices to a certain law that contradicted the Heavenly Dao.

Vast magical power, a hundred times greater than the power obtained by simply burning the bodies of these monks and nuns as offerings, descended from the heavens, pouring directly into Brahma and the others. They groaned in delight, fully savoring this feast of power.

How could the power gained from merely destroying the bodies of these monks and nuns compare to the power derived from destroying their souls, destroying their beliefs, and destroying their self-respect and pride?

The profound mystery of the Brahmanic demonic arts was unfathomable. This manner of offering was far superior to the sacrificial methods of ordinary Asura demons.

The six old monks arrived above the Great Snow Mountain simultaneously, staring in shock at the scene unfolding below.

The Mysterious Old Monk snorted coldly. After a moment of contemplation, he retreated into the void with Langyue and Biyue.

A faint, seven-colored light shimmered in the void for an instant. It seemed the Mysterious Old Monk had deployed the Seven-Treasured Wonderful Tree again. Because the monks were in a desperate plight, the faith energy permeating the void was at least ten times denser than before.

The Moonlight Bodhisattva watched the direction where the Mysterious Old Monk vanished with cold eyes, shouting in a low voice: “Subduing Dragons, Subduing Tigers, go inform Wuxing, tell her to lead her disciples to the West to meet us... This seat will commence a massive slaughter today and teach these ungrateful traitors a lesson they won't forget!”

Gu Xichen, who had been contemplating the Wheel of Law of Pious Belief, was suddenly alerted. 'Old Nun Wuxing'? That old nun who forcibly abducted Fuya-7Ming?

She was a subordinate of the Moonlight Bodhisattva? Did that mean the Moonlight Bodhisattva was the main culprit behind the plot against Fuya-7Ming?

Gu Xichen snorted coldly, his eyes rolled back, and a massive thread of divine sense condensed into a needle-like filament, piercing through the void and fiercely stabbing toward the center of the Moonlight Bodhisattva’s brow.

The Moonlight Bodhisattva felt a sudden pain in his brow, and his vision abruptly darkened. He tumbled from the high sky toward the ground, his eyes rolled back.

Gu Xichen’s strand of divine sense nearly shattered the Moonlight Bodhisattva's soul. His three souls and six spirits were instantly pulverized…

Durga, who was dancing in the sacrifice alongside numerous celestial beings and demons, suddenly saw a large monk falling from the sky, appearing vigorous with abundant Zen power and essence. Without a word, she snatched the Moonlight Bodhisattva and, opening her mouth wide, clamped down hard on his head. Golden blood sprayed out, and the Moonlight Bodhisattva died gruesomely in Durga’s grasp. The Subduing Dragons and Subduing Tigers Arhats watching from the void were utterly dumbfounded, their souls nearly flying out in terror. “Vile creature, how dare you kill a Bodhisattva!”

Subduing Dragons and Subduing Tigers shrieked and immediately manifested their three heads, six arms, and three-zhang golden forms, plunging straight down from the sky.

Durga devoured the Moonlight Bodhisattva in a few bites. Seeing two more monks rushing down from above, she let out a few strange laughs, wiped the golden blood from the corner of her mouth, and flew up excitedly to meet the two Arhats. With a loud clang, Durga’s axe split the Zen staff in the Subduing Dragons Arhat’s hand. Countless members of the Protector Heavens turned their attention towards this spot. Today’s twenty thousand characters update is complete. The Pig Head is signing off for a bit of a drink and sleep, hehe.

Comrades, stay well and rest up.
