Within the Supreme Palace on Blood Slaughter Peak of the Hundred Battles Continent, Tu Guo, ranked seventh among the Great Evolution Fierce Blades, stood rigid in the center of the main hall.
The uncast blade intent churned violently within his body, a formidable blade aura surging and flowing around him. A faint bloody light seeped from his eyes, within which were countless mountains of corpses and seas of blood, countless struggling, wailing living beings, and great fires soaring to the heavens, consuming magnificent royal cities that crumbled into ash. To cultivate ceaselessly, to comprehend the Way of Slaughter moment by moment—this was Tu Guo's life creed.
He firmly believed that the forces of creation had brought him into existence for a destined mission. He must cultivate continuously, grow stronger ceaselessly, accumulate killing intent, and then slay the other forty-eight brothers born of the same origin, thereby becoming the true world-destroying Great Evolution Fierce Blade, and subsequently obliterating every living thing he encountered. Naturally, this included that detestable old man Hongjun and his few disciples.
Therefore, he must cultivate, and cultivate diligently. But to cultivate the Way of Slaughter, there had to be bloodshed; there needed to be endless gore.
In the hall, nearly a thousand lean and powerful cultivators knelt in perfect formation. These cultivators, who practiced Tu Guo’s Way of Slaughter, were his Blood Fiend Envoys. The hundreds of large and small nations across the Hundred Battles Continent were controlled by these Blood Fiend Envoys; the emperors and kings of those nations were nothing more than puppets in the envoys' hands.
Hissing out a mouthful of stale air, Tu Guo painstakingly condensed a wisp of blade qi in his chest and roared with low, powerful force: "The Great Wilderness Nation and the Qiu Ming Nation must commence war within three days. I care not if their provisions or military hardware are fully prepared. Even if their soldiers take kitchen knives to the battlefield, a kitchen knife can still kill!"
"Go, assassinate the Third Prince of the Great Wilderness Nation and frame the Qiu Ming Nation. Rape the Golden Pearl Princess of the Qiu Ming Nation and frame the Great Wilderness Nation. Force them into war within three days, and the scale of the conflict must reach one million people. If the final number of soldiers killed in action does not reach at least three hundred thousand, then replace their emperor!" Several Blood Fiend Envoys grinned sinisterly, acknowledged the command, and swiftly transformed into streaks of blood-red light, rushing out of the Grand Hall of the Supreme Palace.
Scarcely had the blood light traveled a hundred zhang when a massive hand, wrapped in purple-gold light and spanning a hundred zhang in circumference, suddenly slammed down from the void. The Blood Fiend Envoys did not even have time to let out a single scream of agony before they were vaporized into wisps of thin smoke drifting away within the purple-gold light. The Tu Guo Blades they wore, personally forged for them by Tu Guo, were effortlessly melted into pools of bloody liquid. "Who?" Tu Guo coldly snorted, showing no change in demeanor.
Tu Guo had witnessed the divine abilities of that golden-lighted massive hand many times in the past. Hongjun the old immortal had two disciples who practiced Buddhism; their specialty was precisely these kinds of divine techniques that appeared magnificent and righteous, exuding an unsettling golden radiance.
However, in Tu Guo’s memory, before those two disciples of Hongjun achieved sainthood, they were practically defenseless. Their cultivation methods were inferior to the Three Pure Ones, and they were desperately poor, possessing few decent protective treasures. One was struck by Tu Cheng or Ying Ye, and the result was both of them vomiting blood and collapsing. If Hongjun had not rescued them in time, the Buddhist lineage would not exist in the Three Realms. Did the disciples of those two fellows actually dare to provoke him?
Tu Guo let out a cold, mocking laugh. "Which eminent Buddhist master dares to approach this poor Taoist? May I ask your esteemed purpose? Are you lost, venerable master, or have you come soliciting alms?"
Intense killing intent flared in Tu Guo’s heart. He resolved that no matter the visitor's purpose, he would slaughter him using the most brutal means available.
Long, long ago, every so often, two or three Da Luo Golden Immortals, unafraid of death, would venture into the Chaos Space for tempering. Some sought to capture strange Chaos Beasts as mounts, others to gather Innate Materials, and still others to search for Chaos Spiritual Roots.
Roughly every dozen yuanhui, a few unlucky souls would blunder into the Hundred Battles Continent, only to be chopped into dumpling filling by Tu Guo.
For some inexplicable reason, the number of these addle-brained Da Luo Golden Immortals had been dwindling in recent years. For a considerable stretch of time now, no such passing Da Luo Golden Immortals had appeared. Whoever was outside, Tu Guo felt, he would enjoy himself thoroughly.
Gu Xechen, dressed in a Taoist robe and styled as an immortal, walked out from within the colossal golden Buddha palm, hands behind his back, sauntering leisurely toward the entrance of the Supreme Palace hall. He planted one foot heavily upon the threshold, which stood a foot and two inches high.
After closely examining the construction materials of the Supreme Palace, Gu Xechen couldn't help but whistle. Just as the Great Reincarnation King had said, they used the Chaotic Primordial Heavy Gold to build latrines in the old days. This Supreme Palace did not look opulent at all, but every single component used was the absolute essence! Take this threshold, for instance; it was entirely forged from 'Great Transformation Divine Clay.' Hmm, it seemed aside from the Great Evolution Fierce Blades’ source blade intent, he stood to profit handsomely this time.
Gu Xechen looked at Tu Guo, who radiated intense blade aura, and smiled with genuine delight. These fierce blades had hidden in the Chaos Space for countless liangjie; they must surely possess many rare heavenly treasures nearby. Moreover, with their discerning tastes, they wouldn't bother with ordinary Innate Materials. He had truly come to the right place this time. Chuckling strangely, Gu Xechen slowly entered the hall and executed a deep, respectful bow toward Tu Guo.
"Senior, this poor monk pays his respects. Heaven cherishes life. Senior, in order to cultivate your demonic arts, you force mortal emperors to raise armies and wage war. The danger of blades and spears is grave; how innocent are those common soldiers who lose their lives unjustly? How innocent are the prince of the Great Wilderness Nation and the princess of the Qiu Ming Nation?"
Sighing deeply, Gu Xechen said earnestly, "This poor monk has roamed the Chaos for tens of thousands of years and has purified many villains. I beg Senior to listen to this poor monk preach the Dharma for forty-nine days, allowing the trace of fierce intent in your heart to dissipate!"
Tu Guo chuckled strangely, gazing at the garrulous Gu Xechen. Excellent. Cultivation at the middle stage of Da Luo Golden Immortal. This level was precisely to Tu Guo's liking; the cultivation wasn't too high, allowing him to toy with the man without effort, savoring every moment. Furthermore, a cultivation at the middle stage of Da Luo Golden Immortal meant sufficiently tenacious vitality, enough for Tu Guo to try out various novel forms of torture on this annoying monk.
In the past, Tu Guo had met the Two Buddhist Sages when they were under Hongjun; they too wore the appearance of Taoists. Tu Guo was unaware that current monks do not wear Taoist robes, nor does he know that contemporary monks do not keep their hair long. With Gu Xechen dressed as a Taoist and calling himself 'this poor monk,' Tu Guo found it entirely reasonable. Jie jie fu! Tu Guo roared menacingly: "What an adorable little bald donkey! It has been a long time since such a fine plaything came knocking at my door!"
Laughing loudly, Tu Guo lunged toward Gu Xechen, accompanied by a chilling blade aura. He reached out both hands, aiming to seize Gu Xechen's clavicle bones.
The clavicle bones are vital points on the human body. Even a Da Luo Golden Immortal, if his strength is bound by magical power at these points, will lose seven or eight-tenths of his power and be at the mercy of his captor. Tu Guo only intended to capture Gu Xechen alive; he did not wish to kill him upon meeting. Therefore, he cautiously controlled the strength in his hands, and even more prudently suppressed the magical power and protective blade light within his body.
Tu Guo feared that Gu Xechen's body might be too fragile, fearing he might accidentally shatter the man into pieces—how then would he have anything to play with?
Just as Tu Guo's fingertips were about to grasp Gu Xechen’s shoulder, Gu Xechen suddenly raised his head and gave Tu Guo a peculiar smile. Tu Guo froze, and a chill, almost instinctively, shot from the soles of his feet straight to the top of his head.
An unremarkable seal, pitch-black and wrapped in Xuanhuang Qi, looking much like a large grinding stone, shot out from Gu Xechen's mouth, seemingly floating weightlessly toward Tu Guo’s face. Tu Guo instinctively rammed his forehead against this great seal.
This was only a little bald donkey at the middle stage of Da Luo Golden Immortal, and this great seal looked utterly ordinary, showing no discernible power. He, the seventh-ranked peerless villain among the Great Evolution Fierce Blades, possessed an incomparably powerful physical body. Aside from a very few ultimate treasures in the heavens and earth, nothing could possibly injure him!
A wisp of blade qi shot from his forehead, heavily cleaving toward the Seal of All Living Beings. Tu Guo felt smug; his entire body could emit indestructible blade qi. This little bald donkey must already be scared senseless, right? A terrifying existence who could project blade qi from his forehead—he must have never seen anything like it in his dreams! Tu Guo smiled, and then his vision went black; he lost all consciousness.
Under the despairing gaze of nearly a thousand Blood Fiend Envoys, the unremarkable, pitch-black Seal of All Living Beings struck Tu Guo’s forehead like an eggshell being cracked open. A flash of blade light shimmered and was instantly annihilated, followed by Tu Guo’s entire head exploding.
A few of the closest Blood Fiend Envoys swore they saw the Seal of All Living Beings transform into a long saber as it shattered Tu Guo’s skull. But they could not comprehend it: how could a great seal transform into a long saber? The remaining events were irrelevant to these Blood Fiend Envoys; they would not need to ponder these questions any longer.
Gu Bao and Gu Hu burst in laughing from outside the hall, unleashing their four arms in all directions. These Blood Fiend Envoys, whose highest cultivation barely reached the peak of Celestial Immortal, instantly exploded into pools of blood plasma upon the slightest touch of their fists, and even their souls were pulverized by the surging tide of punch energy.
The Seal of All Living Beings destroyed the bewildered Tu Guo’s skull with one strike. Gu Xechen spewed black and white flames from his palm, which coalesced into a Taiji Diagram several zhang in diameter, completely enveloping Tu Guo's body. Pangu’s Heavenly Splitting Thunder continuously bombarded down, blasting Tu Guo’s body until flesh and blood flew everywhere. Before long, his blade body manifested.
Gu Xechen unleashed the massive divine sense that merged the essence and spirit of the Great Reincarnation King, Soul Severer, and Soul Breaker. The Chaos Bell resonated with a tremendous clang, shaking the blood-colored blade light flashing rapidly within the long saber.
Bringing his hands, shrouded in misty spiritual light, toward the long saber, Gu Xechen easily plucked a mass of blood-colored blade light from the spirit-bereft body of the saber. This was precisely Tu Guo’s source blade intent. Gu Xechen opened his mouth and swallowed this mass of blade intent whole.
The rapid alternation between the extreme cold of the Grand Yin Candle Flame and the extreme heat of the Grand Yang Scorching Flame took only about ten days to melt Tu Guo's physical body into a pool of liquid. The already spiritual Seal of All Living Beings actively moved toward this liquid mass and slowly absorbed it into the seal matrix.
A powerful divine thought abruptly burst forth from the melted remains of Tu Guo’s physical body, attempting to fly out into the void. Gu Xechen snorted coldly. The Chaos Bell descended from high above, accompanying its continuous ringing, precisely enveloping this divine thought. A spiritual light shot from between Gu Xechen's brows, and he unceremoniously swallowed Tu Guo's nascent spirit—now devoid of sentience and acting purely on instinct—into his Violet Mansion Sea of Consciousness.
Laughing heartily a few times, Gu Xechen ordered Gu Bao and Gu Hu to ransack Blood Slaughter Peak and seize everything they fancied. He himself sat cross-legged in the main hall, concentrating entirely on integrating Tu Guo’s source blade intent and digesting the comprehension of the Great Dao imprinted in his soul.
This time, thanks to prior experience, Gu Xechen spent only three months digesting everything Tu Guo left behind. Gu Bao and Gu Hu had also thoroughly cleaned out Blood Slaughter Peak, not leaving a single blade of grass.
His nascent spirit was strengthened by several more percent, and his magical power cultivation had advanced further, closing the gap across that vast chasm by another segment. Gu Xechen, who could see the chasm more and more clearly, pondered for a moment, then reached into the Grand Yin Profound Pearl and pulled out an extraordinary world treasure manifested from the pearl—a conical short sword radiating chilling light.
With a sweep of his hand, the short sword transformed into several thousand streams of cold light that poured out, instantly incinerating all the nobility and dignitaries on the Hundred Battles Continent who willingly submitted to the control of Blood Slaughter Peak and incessantly manipulated the populace into war, all under the surveillance of Gu Xechen’s divine sense. Streaks of golden celestial lightning carved across the sky of the Hundred Battles Continent, the massive sound shaking the entire continent.
The sky filled with auspicious clouds, and gigantic characters spanned the void. Billions of souls across the Hundred Battles Continent simultaneously sensed a supremely powerful will: The bloodthirsty demon who tormented and controlled them had been slain by the Heavenly Gods. From now on, all souls of the Hundred Battles Continent could choose the life they wished to live, no longer needing to be cannon fodder and flesh on bloody battlefields.
Having settled everything, Gu Xechen led Gu Bao and Gu Hu away. The hundreds of nations on the Hundred Battles Continent suddenly lost their supreme rulers; naturally, there was a period of turmoil initially. However, after three to five years, the nations of the Hundred Battles Continent had elected new rulers, and the common people truly began to live the life they desired, one less drenched in blood and strife. Gu Xechen traveled back and forth through the void with Gu Bao and Gu Hu.
The Great Evolution Fierce Blades were secluded in the Chaos Space, and the distance between them was extremely vast. The farthest Great Evolution Fierce Blade was separated from Gu Xechen by a journey that took him a full thirty-eight years just in transit.
After traveling for over ninety years, Gu Xechen smoothly slew every single Great Evolution Fierce Blade, collected all of their physical bodies and merged them into the Seal of All Living Beings, absorbed all of their source blade intents, and acquired the Great Dao comprehension from all forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades.
Subsequently, Gu Xechen immediately set out on his return journey without pause. Besides Gu Bao and Gu Hu, he was now accompanied by four additional personal guards.
Gu Xiong, Gu Shi, Gu Jing, and Gu E were four other strange beasts Gu Xechen had encountered while traveling through the Chaos Space. Their physical bodies were immensely powerful, and their cultivation had all reached the peak level of Da Luo Golden Immortal. Gu Xechen bestowed the remaining four Spirit Transformation Fruits upon them, allowing them all to successfully assume human form.
Leading the six Chaos Strange Beasts through the void for several decades, Gu Xechen finally returned to the entrance of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths—or rather, to the great tree situated at the entrance to the Nine Heavens and Nine Earths.
Gu Bao and the other five fiercely displayed their great divine abilities, sealing off the entrance and exit to the Nine Heavens and Nine Earths. Gu Xechen sat cross-legged on the treetop, beginning the final integration of the source blade intents from the forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades.
The Seal of All Living Beings, having absorbed the physical bodies of the forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades, hovered before Gu Xechen. A wisp of blade qi connected him to the seal. A sliver of nascent spirit was continuously injected into the Seal of All Living Beings. Inside the seal, a small figure was slowly taking shape—a figure with a sharp expression, surging blade aura, a lean body like a sharp knife, and a countenance identical to Gu Xechen’s.
Gu Xechen recalled the source blade intents of the forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades one by one, starting with the Great Reincarnation King’s source blade intent.
Afterward, following the ranking of the Great Evolution Fierce Blades, he pieced together segments of incomplete laws from these source blade intents.
Since the formation of the forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades, over countless years, these forty-nine fierce blades had deduced and inferred many illusory ways of slaughter based on the laws of their own source blade intents.
Some of these ways of slaughter corresponded with the true laws represented by the Great Evolution Fierce Blades, while others were nonsensical, leading entirely down the wrong path. For example, the method deduced by Duanying—forging twelve Elemental Blade Demons using countless flesh and souls—was a complete deviation.
Carefully peeling away the insights into the Dao that the forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades had grasped themselves, Gu Xechen meticulously unified the forty-nine segments of the Great Evolution Fierce Blade's principles into a single entity.
Suddenly, the void erupted in brilliant light, and a gentle aura of blade qi descended slowly from the void. Gu Xechen's body was crisscrossed with blade aura; the blade qi and intent moved freely around him, nurturing and strengthening his body like the spiritual energy of the natural world. The Pangu True Blood surged, and Gu Xechen’s physical body began absorbing the immense essence energy within the Pangu True Blood at a speed thousands of times faster than usual.
After the forty-nine segments of the Great Evolution Blade Intent merged into one, a blade wheel slowly manifested behind Gu Xechen's head. The blade wheel was divided into forty-nine layers, white on the inside moving outward. The structure of each layer was incredibly complex. Within the wheel, about a li in diameter, countless minute runes slowly flowed, radiating brilliant light like sharp, exquisite little knives.
The blade wheel slowly spun in the void, and a brand-new heavenly law, completely different from the blade intent preserved by the Great Evolution Fierce Blades, began to gently seep out from the wheel, gradually merging with Gu Xechen’s nascent spirit. The blade qi in the void vanished, leaving only the omnipresent brilliant light illuminating Gu Xechen’s body.
The sharp light within the blade wheel also disappeared without a trace. The runes that were blindingly bright now appeared as if cast from bronze; having endured the wash of countless ages, each rune possessed an ancient, variegated patina, exuding a solemn and majestic aura of strictness.
The blade wheel, barely a li in diameter, hovered almost motionless behind Gu Xechen; one had to observe it with divine sense to perceive its extremely slow rotation.
The blade wheel emanated an aura of strictness trillions of times more profound than that of the runes. This aura resembled an Archaic Imperial Hall handed down from the Primordial Wilderness, supreme and filled with the pressure of kingship. Anyone facing this imposing aura would feel like a tiny bean beneath a giant millstone, ready to be ground to dust, leaving not even dregs behind. Endless profound mysteries slowly flowed into Gu Xechen’s mind, and a magnificent heavenly path began to faintly emerge within his nascent spirit.
Gu Xechen’s inherent divine sense and the nascent spirits of his Three Corpses underwent a marvelous transformation. An aura of solemn slaughter, trillions of times more intense than the imperial aura of the Three Pure Ones and the Deep Netherworld, faintly emanated from his true self and his Three Corpses, an aura sharp as a blade that dared not be looked upon directly.
"Great Evolution Fierce Blade, Great Evolution Fierce Blade... You only thought the Great Evolution Fierce Blade was the Way of Slaughter. How little you knew! The true mystery of the Great Evolution Fierce Blade is the balance blade that maintains the rules of heaven and earth, the sharp knife that excises anomalies in the cosmos!" If a person developed a festering sore, if a piece of flesh rotted, what should be done? Naturally, it should be taken to the hospital and cut out with a scalpel. The Great Evolution Fierce Blade, for this heaven and earth, was precisely such a surgical instrument.
The light and darkness of the Three Realms must always be balanced. If the power of either side overwhelms the other, what should be done?
Just as the branch of a flowering plant grows too luxuriantly and begins to impede the growth of the flower bud, what should be done? Naturally, pruning shears must be used to trim the branches so the plant can grow stronger and better. The Great Evolution Fierce Blade is precisely such a pair of pruning shears, maintaining the balance of power in the world.
If an external object invades the body—for instance, an arrow laced with poison embeds itself in the flesh—what should be done?
Again, the flesh should be cut open with a sharp blade to remove the arrow.
If a savage beast threatens a person's life, and the beast has already pounced, ready to devour the person, what should be done? Naturally, a sharp blade should cleave down upon its head to slay the beast and protect the person's life.
The Great Evolution Fierce Blade is precisely such a sharp weapon that maintains the integrity and independence of the universe where Gu Xechen resided, eliminating all foreign matter.
It is born with an endless aura of slaughter and an infinite desire to kill. The objects of its slaughter should be foreign entities that threaten the existence and balance of this universe. It is the ultimate instrument of judgment for maintaining this cosmos. The blade wheel behind Gu Xechen's head is the final form of the Great Evolution Blade Intent—the Wheel of Balance.
The planet Diyuan birthed three hundred and sixty million Primeval Demon Gods, each corresponding to some rule, or portion of a rule, governing the heavens and earth. The forty-nine Great Evolution Fierce Blades represented the balance of the Heavenly Dao, tools of judgment and arbitration for all anomalies. According to the cycle of the Heavenly Dao, the Great Evolution Fierce Blades should have emerged on Mount Yue to mutually devour one another, ultimately forming the true Wheel of Balance. However, because the Great Wheel King offended Hongjun, he was sealed away, his true form evolving into the Blade Wheel Hell. The other forty-eight Great Evolution Fierce Blades, fearful of Hongjun, fled into the Chaos Space, remaining lost for untold eons, thereby delaying the birth of the Wheel of Balance.
Now, the Heavenly Dao has borrowed the hand of Gu Xiachen to bring the Wheel of Balance into existence; this is merely an expression of the Heavenly Dao’s rules. The rules of the Heavenly Dao are ceaselessly restoring and perfecting themselves; this power cannot be obstructed by anyone—not even Hongjun, the representative of the Heavenly Dao!
Gu Xiachen slowly raised both hands toward the sky, laughing uproariously, "Hongjun, so there are things under the Heavenly Dao that even you cannot control!" After three loud bursts of laughter, a flicker of doubt suddenly crossed Gu Xiachen’s face.
Was it because Hongjun could not control everything under the Heavenly Dao, or was it because Hongjun was no longer in this cosmic space, which is why the Heavenly Dao here was beyond his command? Or perhaps the Great Evolution Fierce Blades were always that immeasurable speck of rule floating outside the Heavenly Dao, which is why they remained uncontrolled by Hongjun? Gu Xiachen stood stunned, gazing blankly at the boundless chaotic void, his mind a churning, hazy mess. The Heavenly Dao is infinite; the Heavenly Dao is inscrutable.
Had Hongjun abandoned this universe to venture to that new cosmos, would he truly have comprehended the Heavenly Dao?
Regardless of Gu Xiachen’s doubts and hesitations, his cultivation had taken a concrete, immense leap forward.
That chasm was right before his eyes.
Gu Xiachen’s feet were already planted upon the edge of the chasm.
With just one small step, he could cross it.
But it was equally possible that he would never cross it.
The Chaos Space churned with rising and falling waves, and endless streams of chaotic spiritual energy continuously surged into Gu Xiachen’s body, silently and perpetually transforming into his own magical power and cultivation. Within him, the Wheel of Balance rotated slowly. The energies of Taiyin and Taiyang constantly flowed into it; Yin and Yang energies, harmonized by the Wheel of Balance, mutually generated and annihilated, perpetually evolving until a mysterious aura was born—an aura akin to chaotic spiritual energy but infinitely purer by trillions of times.
This peculiar energy integrated the characteristics of Yin and Yang, possessing the all-encompassing attribute of chaotic essence. If hardness was required, it was harder than the physical form of the Ancestor of Iron and Stone; if softness was needed, it was softer than the first veil of dawn mist; if dullness was required, it was more obscure than the sand and gravel on the ground; if sharpness was needed, it was more cutting than the fiercest blade light emitted by the Great Evolution Fierce Blades...
All-embracing, omnipotent, conforming to whim, taking any form desired.
This newborn power was intangible, colorless, soundless, and formless, as if non-existent, yet it was exactly like the rules of the Heavenly Dao filling his body.
Gu Xiachen felt a sudden surge throughout his entire being. His divine sense instantly expanded rapidly in all directions, sweeping across every region of the Nine Heavens, Nine Hells, and Eighteen Celestial Realms in a single moment. Every movement, every speck of dust, in these eighteen realms was now within the grasp of his divine sense. Descending to the Yellow Springs below and ascending to the Azure Firmament above, encompassing the general layout of the Three Realms, Gu Xiachen could already see clearly, needing only that final step to achieve the supreme divine ability where a Saint’s gaze encompasses the entirety of the Three Realms within their mind. He was only short of that single step.
Above the Abyss of No Return in Boluomimi Buziao Letian, the masked, strange monk and his two junior brothers, Langyue and Biyue, shuddered simultaneously. All three looked up at the sky in unison, gazing at each other in utter dread.
After a long silence, the masked strange monk finally muttered, his voice raspy with both jealousy and envy, "Who, who has already reached that threshold? Master spared no effort in depleting his original essence to send us back to this world. After lingering for countless years, we are still so far from that threshold—who is it that has already arrived there?"
Langyue and Biyue exchanged glances without a word, merely bowing their heads, silently reciting scriptures over and over in their minds.
Gu Xiachen gazed into the void for a long time, then suddenly gave a cold laugh, shouting sharply toward the sky, "Have you seen enough?"
He waved his hands casually, and beams of cold light and fire erupted from his five fingers, mixed with streaks of blade light, shooting outward. The void vibrated intensely, and several muffled groans were heard, accompanied by fleeting glimpses of golden radiance and purple light flashing in the surrounding emptiness.
An hour later, within Boluomimi Buziao Letian, a fat-headed, big-eared monk and two monks with grotesquely strange features manifested from the void, their bodies scorched black. The three monks looked at each other, their faces etched with terror.
In Yudan Wuliang Tianyou, the Grand Master Xuandu and his two companions emerged from the void covered in ice shards, looking miserable. The three great immortals, their faces blue and lips purple from the cold, shivered violently until they could finally steady their bodies, exchanging speechless glances and shaking their heads repeatedly.
The most wretched was Wuyun Xian, who had emerged from the Ice Hell with his left side scorched and his right side frozen solid. While spitting blood, he hopped out, muttering repeatedly, "Alas, we are all branches of the Jie Sect, why must we fight amongst ourselves? Why must we be so harsh? Heavens above, the Heavenly Dao is unfair! How many years has this brat been cultivating? How can he possess such magical power and divine ability? Alas, perhaps my old life has been spent living like a dog?"
With a casual strike, Gu Xiachen dispersed the group secretly observing him in the void. He let out a few cold laughs, then casually pointed a finger, shattering the passage leading to the lower realm, and headed directly for the Human World along with Gu Bao and the other six strange beasts.
With Gu Xiachen's current divine might, a single casual step allowed him to traverse countless star systems, arriving at the outer edge of the Spiral Star Domain.
Just in time, he saw a seven-colored rainbow light shooting out from within the Spiral Star Domain. The joyful laughter of the Celestial Maiden Jixiang echoed throughout heaven and earth. "This Honored One will no longer play games with you all. It’s been nearly two hundred years, and you still can’t capture me—it's truly disgraceful!" "Hee hee, I shall gladly accept that Undying Spiritual Ganoderma. I thank it for restoring my complete cultivation." "When Lord Wulong returns, tell him this Honored One is very grateful for his generosity." Gu Xiachen’s expression darkened slightly, and he casually reached out a hand toward the seven-colored rainbow light. Chapter Two, over seven thousand five hundred characters delivered. I will strive for Chapter Three shortly...
If it is there, it is there; if not, then this Pig Head has gone to sleep... F
