Fuyia-7’s Corpse Gold Bodhisattva incarnation spat out the Six-Syllable True Mantra, its body entwined with golden lotuses, and its six-colored weapons transformed into countless streaks of rainbow light, striking wildly in all directions, every move aimed at the body of Goddess (Jixiang Tiannü).
In the void, countless starlights materialized into tangible, pearl-sized orbs that shot back and forth, carrying boundless celestial music like surging tides sweeping outwards. Each pearl constantly protected the vital points surrounding Goddess Jixiang Tiannü. As the pearls flew, their force was like thunder, shaking the very void.
The Goddess incarnation that Fuyia-7 desired formed a hand seal, continuously condensing starlight to materialize countless pearls to attack the enemy.
And the most solemn and majestic Empress incarnation sat upon a golden throne that materialized out of thin air, her eyes burning with fire, staring fixedly at the body of Goddess Jixiang Tiannü. No matter how Goddess Jixiang Tiannü conjured boundless illusions in the chasm of the sky, drawing countless incarnations of the Heavenly Dragons and Eightfold Host to fly about, every illusion where the Empress incarnation’s gaze swept was instantly pulverized into dust by an unseen flame.
Even Goddess Jixiang Tiannü herself, under the steady gaze of the Empress incarnation, felt as though she were sinking into quicksand; her movements slowed considerably as she darted about.
In a duel between masters, the slightest lapse in vigilance is fatal. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s movement slowed slightly, and she was viciously lashed several times across the body by Fuyia-7’s Corpse Gold Bodhisattva incarnation. The heavy impact sent her body flying back hundreds of miles. Countless pearls condensed from starlight shrieked past, slamming heavily into Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s body once more.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü cried out in pain. She shrieked sharply, and her figure instantly vanished.
Her innate divine ability was activated to its fullest, and Goddess Jixiang Tiannü instantly melted into the void, causing all attacks to miss.
In the next instant, Goddess Jixiang Tiannü suddenly appeared before Fuyia-7’s main body. She held a three-edged cyan steel spike with a lotus handle in each hand, trailing a plume of black smoke and sparks as she darted towards Fuyia-7’s heart. From her mouth, she spat out a crimson lotus, from every petal of which erupted countless beams of fire and billions of steel needles, hissing and crackling as they swept towards every part of Fuyia-7’s body.
These steel needles were cast from highly toxic stone essence mined from the earth’s core and tempered by the Primordial Flames of the earth’s core for countless eons. Furthermore, various potent poisons and foul energies configured by the Asura tribes were infused within them, possessing the miraculous power to destroy human flesh, defile the nascent spirit, ruin the foundation of Dao, and shatter magic treasures.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü was usually meticulous about her poise and demeanor, never willing to use such venomous strange treasures. After all, relying solely on her innate divine abilities was enough for her to traverse the Three Realms and maintain an undefeated position. Yet, facing Fuyia-7’s (Míng), she felt a sudden surge of jealousy and resentment, immediately resorting to lethal force upon meeting.
Fuyia-7’s main body suddenly let out a cold laugh, spewing forth vast amounts of Yellow-Black Qi from within her form. Her physical body suddenly radiated a brilliant golden light, appearing as if cast from pure gold. A grand, sweeping aura of indestructibility shot forth. The two cyan spikes, met by the spray of Yellow-Black Qi, turned into two streams of toxic drool and fell away. Countless steel needles struck Fuyia-7’s body, yet they could not even pierce her skin before bouncing back.
The Indestructible Yellow-Black Body! Fuyia-7’s had also cultivated the Indestructible Yellow-Black Body, and her cultivation was already exceedingly powerful; ordinary magic treasures could not harm her body.
The stunned Goddess Jixiang Tiannü gasped in surprise. Fuyia-7’s had already seized Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s slender and delicate neck, embracing her tightly and spinning rapidly like a gyroscope, dragging Goddess Jixiang Tiannü away like a meteor.
Fuyia-7’s divine maiden incarnation let out a cold sneer, lightly sweeping her right hand through the void ahead. Several tens of thousands of miles away, a section of the void suddenly fractured, and a neutron star, roughly a hundred miles in diameter, materialized out of thin air. Fuyia-7’s main body, hugging the screaming Goddess Jixiang Tiannü, slammed viciously into it.
The gravitational pull of the neutron star was immense, yet Fuyia-7’s light escape speed was overwhelmingly swift. Combined, Fuyia-7’s approached the surface of the neutron star to a height of less than ten zhang in an action almost akin to instant movement. Gripping Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s neck with both hands, she swung her down fiercely, while her main body abruptly broke free from the neutron star’s pull, transforming into a streak of profound light and fleeing tens of thousands of miles away.
Gu Xiechen vaguely saw that Fuyia-7’s all-out swing seemed to have stretched Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s already slender and beautiful neck by about half a foot. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü couldn't react at all before being smashed violently onto that incredibly sturdy neutron star.
With a deafening crash, the neutron star—arguably the hardest substance in the mortal realm’s universe—was pierced through by Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s body, leaving a hole several zhang in diameter. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s clothing was pulverized, and her magnificent ornaments of pearls, glazed tiles, and other items shattered with loud cracks.
The force of Fuyia-7’s full-strength swing was too immense. After Goddess Jixiang Tiannü penetrated the massive neutron star, the residual outward force actually shattered the star into dust. Terrifying energy erupted from within the neutron star, a burst of bright light scattering everywhere, sending Goddess Jixiang Tiannü flying back tens of thousands of miles with a muffled groan.
Before Goddess Jixiang Tiannü could react in the slightest, the Azure Mirage Bottle shot forward with a flash of spiritual light, spraying countless streams of azure light that firmly encircled Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s body. From the side, the Bodhisattva Gold Body lunged forward, and the weapons on all six arms flickered, transforming into six identical, heavy, golden, and ridged Vajra Pestles.
Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang, clang! Six thunderous crashes followed. Fuyia-7’s Bodhisattva Gold Body struck the momentarily stunned Goddess Jixiang Tiannü six times, as if hammering iron, causing countless bursts of fire to erupt from her body. Within the flames, indistinct illusions of Heavenly Dragons, Celestial Maidens, Asuras, and Yakshas flickered.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s body shattered and collapsed, but her Brahmin Demonic Arts had reached a state of consummate mastery; her physical body was destroyed and instantly reborn. After six heavy blows, she remained the same breathtakingly beautiful Goddess Jixiang Tiannü.
Suddenly, the Primordial Chaos Seven Treasures Sword from the side transformed into a strange, brilliant gleam and swept across, diagonally slicing towards Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s waist, intending to cleave her in two with one stroke. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü finally regained her senses. She roared in anger, her figure vanishing instantly. When she reappeared, she was once again in front of Fuyia-7’s main body.
This time, Goddess Jixiang Tiannü dared not engage in close-quarters combat with Fuyia-7’s. Her figure darted around Fuyia-7’s like a swimming fish, raining down countless attacks—crimson fire, toxic flames, golden sabers, and silver spears—while she simultaneously hurled the golden macaque, which had been tucked into her embrace, outwards.
The golden macaque flickered in mid-air and instantly grew to a height of about a hundred zhang, while a dark, pitch-black iron rod materialized in its hand.
The macaque grinned menacingly at Fuyia-7’s and suddenly swung the iron rod down towards Fuyia-7’s head.
Fuyia-7’s beckoned, summoning countless heavenly thunders and earthly fires to bombard Goddess Jixiang Tiannü, while swinging her hand back, the Primordial Chaos Seven Treasures Sword returned to her grasp. With a casual sweep, she met the macaque’s iron rod head-on.
With a colossal sound, Fuyia-7’s was smashed back nearly a thousand li by the monkey’s single blow. She staggered, barely managing to stabilize her form by employing a restrictive spell. Her right hand trembled violently, even oozing fluid beneath the skin. This seemingly casual strike from the monkey had nearly shattered Fuyia-7’s right arm.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü chuckled wryly. Countless attacks passed right through her body without harming even a single strand of her hair. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü smiled gently, “Little Empress, are you angry? Truly afraid I’ll steal your husband? Hee hee, once I get serious, can you possibly defeat me?”
With a wave of her hand, a black, sharp gleam flashed through the void, tearing open an extremely fine crack in space. This spatial rift flashed across Fuyia-7’s’s body quicker than lightning, drawing a thin mist of blood from her arm.
Fuyia-7’s’s Indestructible Yellow-Black Body could not withstand the dimensional spatial rift attack unleashed by Goddess Jixiang Tiannü.
The macaque roared again, swinging its iron rod down towards Fuyia-7’s head. The macaque’s tail, which was more than ten times its body length, thrashed wildly. It shouted loudly, “Woman, remember my name, Hanuman! The one who kills you is the great Hanuman!”
Seeing Goddess Jixiang Tiannü subtly gaining the upper hand, Gu Xiechen immediately cast the Profound Ice Rope, binding Pòlì Típí tightly, and then leaped towards the battle cluster himself. As Hanuman’s iron rod smashed down, Gu Xiechen met the rod precisely with his head.
With a deafening crash, vast sparks erupted, each spark tearing through the void for countless miles. Occasionally, the sparks struck stars of various sizes; no matter how massive the star, it was obliterated by these sparks.
Hanuman bellowed, “What a hard head!” and stumbled backward, dragging the iron rod, retreating repeatedly.
Gu Xiechen’s body stood motionless in the void. With a wave of his right hand, the Waterfall Sleeve Rope swept out a massive white tide, roaring across a range of tens of thousands of li, firmly enveloping the constantly manifesting body of Goddess Jixiang Tiannü. Wherever the white tide passed, everything was completely frozen—from starlight to stardust, from space to time—all were firmly locked by the terrifying Profound Condensing Freezing Qi.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s face turned pale, and she instantly fled tens of thousands of li away. Despite her swift escape, the Profound Condensing Freezing Qi had already shattered nearly ten thousand layers of spatial barriers she had laid down, lightly grazing her left arm. With just this gentle touch, Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s entire left arm turned into a block of ice, which then began to dissolve from her fingertips into specks of ice crystals scattering away.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü cried out in pain, swiftly severing her left arm at the root. A lotus blossomed from the severed stump, and her arm rapidly regenerated. She glanced at Gu Xiechen, let out a few cold laughs, twisted her body, and vanished into the void once more. This time, she didn't even manifest an illusion—she completely dissolved into the void.
Muffled thunder faintly rumbled from all directions, and gusts of fierce wind and rain, stirring up crimson toxic gas, emerged from the void, variously assaulting Gu Xiechen and Fuyia-7’s.
Intermittently, groups of three or five Asuras roared, wielding their weapons as they leaped out of the void, striking at Gu Xiechen with all their might.
Occasionally, groups of three or five golden-armored Kshatriya warriors emerged from the void, unleashing brilliant sword light to chop down towards Gu Xiechen’s head.
Moreover, golden lotuses continuously sprouted from the void. Huge golden lotuses slowly unfolded, and from within them rushed chariots of Indra, entirely enveloped in thunderous, fierce flames, charging towards Gu Xiechen like lightning.
Suddenly, vast Bodhi groves rapidly grew from specks of golden light. Large groups of ascetic immortals sat cross-legged within the groves, chanting profound mantras, releasing immensely powerful immortal arts and curses that transformed into countless tangible and intangible attacks against Gu Xiechen.
Though these manifestations were illusions, their destructive power was real. As countless attacks rained down like a storm, Fuyia-7’s face had turned taut and pale white with tension. But Gu Xiechen watched these attacks with a faint smile, unconcerned, punching out with both fists like meteors, smashing all the attacks into powder.
The Asura generals charging overhead were annihilated along with their weapons. The charging Kshatriya warriors were destroyed along with their sword light. The charging Indra chariots were annihilated along with the lightning.
As for the immortals and the Bodhi groves, one punch was enough, like Mount Tai falling into a chicken coop—all the immortals and the Bodhi groves shattered like eggs.
Gu Xiechen’s fists were like the Heavenly Punishment descended by the Heavenly Dao. Under the barrage of his heavy blows, all of Goddess Jixiang Tiannü’s attacks became a mere joke.
Completely concealing her body within the void and daring not to show any form, Goddess Jixiang Tiannü cursed angrily. She shrieked, “Hanuman, what are you doing? I brought you here to watch the fun!”
Hanuman gave no reply. He was holding his iron rod, staring solemnly at a monkey before him who shared his golden fur, but whose imposing aura and expression were several times fiercer and stronger than his own.
The two monkeys stared at each other, eyes locked in the void. Hanuman’s expression was solemn, while the other monkey’s expression…
Perhaps this fellow would never know what solemnity meant; he stared intently at Hanuman, grinning mischievously and taunting him, “Hanuman, do you still remember when you challenged Grandpa Sun by the Pool of Merit, and I tore off your tail?”
Hanuman’s muscles bulged in waves, and he growled deeply, “Victorious Fighting Buddha, you are not the you of yesteryear, and I am not the me of yesteryear! Back then, you, in your status as a Buddha, used such a rascally move to damage my physical form. Today, karma has circled back; you shall receive retribution!”
The monkey let out a few cackling laughs, his small tail suddenly stood straight up behind him, and the long staff in his hand swept towards Hanuman with a tremendous crash.
The monkey struck with such force that his long staff—forged from the congenital sacred artifact companion to the Demon Ape’s genesis—bent into an arc from the sheer power. The staff emitted a groan of unbearable strain, and subtle cracks began to appear on its shaft.
Hanuman moved almost simultaneously with the monkey. The pitch-black, oily iron rod in his hand was also swung with all his might, and it too bent into an arc, meeting the monkey’s Mourning Gate Staff with a sound like the collapse of heaven and earth.
The two congenital-grade long staffs collided, yet no sound was emitted.
However, the millions of Nine Nether Path disciples and Heavenly Soldiers and Generals watching from near and far, except for the fortunate ones possessing Great Luo Golden Immortal cultivation, all suddenly spat out large amounts of blood from their seven orifices, their eardrums simultaneously shattered by the inaudible sound.
Yang Jian materialized in the void and fiercely raised his Three-Pointed Double-Edged Blade, swinging it heavily towards the sky.
The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals and the Nine Nether Path disciples instantly turned in unison, transforming into streaks of light and rapidly retreating from the battlefield.
In the face of combat at this level, even merely observing was an immense danger. A casual move could easily annihilate millions of beings beneath the Great Luo Golden Immortal level. Yang Jian’s timely order to retreat prevented Gu Xiechen’s subordinates from suffering heavy losses.
The bodies of the monkey and Hanuman shook, their skin exploding simultaneously. The blood vessels beneath their skin snapped and popped, spraying vast amounts of blood plasma that enveloped their bodies in infinite fierce flames. The eyes of the two massive monkeys nearly bulged from their sockets, their sharp fangs protruding from their upturned lips, gnashing together with loud ga-beng sounds.
“Heh heh heh~~~ Haha!” The two utterly ferocious monkeys laughed at each other. The monkey suddenly spat a mouthful of saliva onto Hanuman’s face.
Hanuman froze for a moment, about to curse angrily, when the monkey kicked him viciously in the lower abdomen. Hanuman was sent flying ten thousand li by this kick and could not stabilize his body. The thick golden fur on his abdomen exploded outward, revealing an indentation in his muscle, fully half a foot deep, left by the kick.
In an instant, the footprint deeply embedded in the muscle expanded rapidly, swelling out about two chi above the skin in the blink of an eye. With a pa sound, the footprint on Hanuman’s abdomen burst open, spraying gouts of blood.
Hanuman grimaced and roared curses at the monkey, but the monkey burst into continuous, wild laughter and transformed into a blur of residual images, charging towards Hanuman.
A streak of Heavenly Dragon illusion flashed from the side, and Goddess Jixiang Tiannü suddenly materialized beside the monkey. She held a crimson lotus in her hand, her delicate face etched with bone-chilling killing intent, and fiercely smashed the lotus down onto the unprepared monkey’s head.
Clang! With a dull thud, a large patch of the monkey’s skin was blown open. He grunted and was sent flying back by Goddess Jixiang Tiannü, blood spraying continuously from his head, instantly soaking his entire body. All his golden fur was drenched in blood, making him look more wretched than Hanuman by a factor of ten.
Just as Goddess Jixiang Tiannü injured the monkey, a heartbreaking shriek erupted from Hanuman.
Gu Xiechen had already flashed across in an instant to Hanuman’s side. He employed the Heavenly Dharma and Earthly Manifestation divine ability; his body, now over a hundred zhang tall, bulged with muscle, enveloped by vast amounts of Yellow-Black Qi. With extreme malice, he delivered a vicious upward kick to Hanuman’s lower regions.
Pa-pa! Two crisp sounds echoed through the void. Hanuman’s eyes rolled back, and he let out a painful scream, instinctively throwing the iron rod away with both hands to clutch his groin. Even though Hanuman’s Vajra Indestructible Body had reached a considerable level of mastery, under the terrifying brute force resulting from the dual combination of Gu Xiechen’s Indestructible Yellow-Black Body and Pangu True Body, his Vajra Indestructible Body proved utterly fragile.
Fortunately, Hanuman had also cultivated the Brahmin Demonic Arts; this level of physical damage was not catastrophic to him. As long as he circulated his technique nine times, the two crushed spheres could regenerate.
But the searing pain was unbearable for any male creature. Hanuman was in so much agony he was nearly fainting.
However, Hanuman’s misfortune was not over. Goddess Jixiang Tiannü had ambushed the monkey, and Gu Xiechen ambushed Hanuman. And next to Gu Xiechen was Fuyia-7’s, whose decisiveness in killing and executing was several times sharper and more ruthless than Gu Xiechen’s.
Fuyia-7’s followed Gu Xiechen’s instantaneous movement to Hanuman’s side. With a wave of her hand, two innate supreme treasures were already unleashed.
The God-Slaying Pearl, dazzlingly bright to the point of blinding the eye, struck down from above with a piercing sound of tearing space. This single pearl slammed into Hanuman’s crown, cracking hundreds of fragments of his skull’s vault. His soul trembled, nearly being utterly dispersed by that one strike.
Immediately following, the Yellow Springs Mirror, entirely yellow and constantly emitting streams of chilling cold air, flew up silently. Six streaks of cyan-yellow faint light quietly emerged, precisely targeting Hanuman’s body. The six strands of nether energy drew upon the power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, falling onto Hanuman with a weight heavier than Mount Tai.
Hanuman, gravely wounded with a shattered head, let out a mournful cry. His skin and flesh suddenly scorched, turning to flying ash that drifted away. His bone-white skeleton was instantly coated in vast patches of black ice, and the bones themselves crystallized and scattered. Large quantities of viscous green poisonous fluid spurted from his seven orifices. He felt an unbearable bitterness and sourness in his heart; the Five Thieves erupted within him, and a blazing Yin Fire rose up from beneath his feet. In the span of a single exchange, his foundation of Dao was nearly scoured and destroyed by the Yellow Springs Mirror.
Hanuman let out a scream, his figure suddenly shrinking to the size of a fist—a golden macaque—and he threw himself, weeping and howling, towards Goddess Jixiang Tiannü.
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü, who was proudly laughing up at the sky after seriously wounding the monkey in one move, suddenly saw Hanuman—whose head was nearly pulverized, whose skin, flesh, and even internal organs were almost completely corroded away, leaving him nearly a skeleton—hurtling back towards her. Her delicate face could not help but change.
She glared angrily at Gu Xiechen and shrieked, “Good! You have injured another one of our generals again! Evil Dragon Venerable, are you determined to oppose us!”
Gu Xiechen stared coldly at Goddess Jixiang Tiannü and snarled coldly, “That’s absolute nonsense! Did I provoke you first?”
He let out a few cold laughs, the corners of his mouth lifting high. He chuckled softly, “However, let me remind you of one thing. Although you, Celestial Maiden, have an excellent figure and good skin, being completely naked is always a slight to propriety.”
Goddess Jixiang Tiannü froze for a moment. She hurriedly looked down and realized that when Fuyia-7’s had fought her earlier, she had been thrown onto the neutron star, and her clothing had been shattered long ago. She had been competing naked with Gu Xiechen for so long; the boundless springtime scenery had already been seen completely.
The monkey, beaten until fire spewed from his seven orifices and sent flying backward a great distance, pointed over here and burst into laughter: “Lakshmi, you aren’t much better looking even when undressed, why not peel off your skin too? Hehe, what would Vishnu’s reaction be if he saw you like this?”
Lakshmi’s expression darkened momentarily. With a fierce roar, a precious light descended from above her head, clothing her instantly in a magnificent set of robes.
From the precious light emanating from Lakshmi’s crown, a Mount Meru materialized out of thin air. This mountain was entirely golden, soaring ten thousand li from base to summit, with a circumference spanning about a million li. Immeasurable brilliance rained down from the high heavens, illuminating the entire mountain until it shone with clarity. A fine, gentle mist perpetually bathed the mountainside, keeping even the slightest speck of dust away.
From the base up to the mountainside, it was densely packed with Bodhi groves and lotus pools. The pool waters were crystal clear, within which Jade Dragons sported playfully. In the groves lining the pools sat countless slender, beautifully featured novices, their heads shaven clean, merely draped in a light gauze around their waists, perpetually chanting from palm-leaf Buddhist scriptures beneath the trees.
Above the mountainside lay rolling expanses of emerald green grass, thickly strewn with myriad rare flowers and exotic flora. Golden-bodied deities, standing thirty-six zhang tall, walked hand-in-hand through the center. Light shot forth from the eyes of these deities like sharp lightning tearing through the void. A mere glance directed toward Gu Xichen sent a penetrating pressure rushing toward him.
At the very peak of Mount Meru rested a lotus throne, nine stories high, featuring eighty-one petals. Upon this colossal lotus stood a white elephant possessing three heads and six tusks. On the elephant’s back was a Sarira Seat, atop which stood the ‘Śūrangama Sutra Stupa of the Buddha, a stupa densely packed with innumerable sarira relics, jewels, conch shells, and colored glass from the lower eighteen levels of the Kapala—Buddhist treasures. Beneath the stupa’s radiance lay a Buddha, a thousand li long, physically identical to Lakshmi, resting in the posture of the Reclining Buddha.
The Reclining Buddha rested his right hand beneath his head, while his left hand formed a Varada Mudra over his dantian. His expression was suspended between a smile and a sneer, between anger and indifference, faintly covered by a layer of seven-colored, glazed divine light.
When the Reclining Buddha exhaled, two serpentine white dragons of breath swept out; when he inhaled, the immeasurable light of the surrounding cosmos dimmed slightly.
Lakshmi, clutching the gravely wounded Hanuman, scoffed and soared upward, circling herself into a tight ball as she flew to rest atop the Reclining Buddha’s head.
The Reclining Buddha hummed softly, and a plume of golden astral energy erupted from his navel, twisting in the void to form a lotus. Lakshmi, holding Hanuman, settled firmly upon this lotus. The three-headed white elephant suddenly raised its trunk and let out a long roar toward the sky. Behind Lakshmi’s head, nine treasure wheels materialized, arrayed in a nine-palace grid. Within these wheels were twenty-seven small shrines, each containing a different beautiful female Bodhisattva seated serenely.
A bloom of lotus-like, crimson-red fire erupted from behind Lakshmi, precisely enveloping her and the nine treasure wheels. Within the crimson lotus fire, countless Asuras, Yakshas, Rakshasas, and other fierce deities moved in and out. The male Asuras were monstrously deformed, ugly beyond description, while the female deities were heartbreakingly beautiful, radiating infinite allure with every subtle movement.
Lakshmi let out a long cry. Mount Meru suddenly trembled, releasing boundless white energy that stabbed toward the high heavens. At the tip of every ray of white energy floated a sarira relic. Countless white lights shot out in all directions, crisscrossing to weave a colossal net of rainbow light above the peak of Mount Meru.
Innumerable celestial dragons, celestial maidens, Vajra wielders, and Wisdom Kings emerged from the white light-rainbow. They began chanting in unison the Dharma name: ‘The Indestructible Unstained Great Emptiness Tathagata, the Worthy of Offerings, the Perfectly Enlightened One.’ They lined up neatly above and below Mount Meru in battle formation, radiating overwhelming killing intent as they roared aloud.
Lakshmi pointed a beam of white light toward Hanuman. The heavily injured monkey rapidly recovered within the light.
Lakshmi shouted fiercely, “Venerable Ulong, do you dare enter my Divine Kingdom to fight?”
The Monkey instantly sprang to Gu Xichen’s side. He frowned, staring at the Mount Meru Buddha-realm manifested by Lakshmi, and sneered, “Lakshmi, what tricks are you playing? What is this ‘Indestructible Unstained Great Emptiness Tathagata’? Is your Jade Body truly indestructible? Let this Old Sun swing a couple of my staffs to test it!”
After several snorts of anger, Lakshmi glared at the Monkey and retorted, “This Seat will not stoop to argue with a mere monkey. Victorious Fighting Buddha, do you have the courage to enter?”
The Monkey could least tolerate being provoked. Hearing Lakshmi’s challenge, he roared and charged toward Mount Meru.
He had barely taken two steps when Gu Xichen grabbed his little tail and forcefully yanked him back.
“No rush, no rush. Let’s first see what trickery lies within here before deciding how to attack!” Gu Xichen smiled as he observed the Buddha-kingdom evolved by Lakshmi, then drew Fuya7Ming close and whispered a few words to her. Fuya7Ming glared at Gu Xichen, pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the sweat from her brow, and retrieved the supreme authority control terminal for the Armed Forces of the Yafik Empire, issuing several commands.
In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, nearly a thousand advanced White Wing-class battleships, escorted by a Nuwa-class super-carrier with a diameter exceeding five hundred kilometers, slowly ejected from the void. These unmanned war machines, pre-loaded with attack programs, fully activated their energy shields and slowly advanced into the Buddha-realm manifested by Lakshmi.
Seeing this development, Lakshmi couldn't help but curse Gu Xichen and Fuya7Ming for their cunning. She lazily waved a hand, and the Reclining Buddha’s left hand moved, casually delivering a strike into the void. A massive, purple-gold palm, a thousand li in circumference, continually spitting out boundless purple light beams stretching ten thousand li, descended heavily, slamming straight into the Nuwa-class super-carrier.
With a crisp sound, purple light rain sprayed everywhere. The three-kilometer-thick energy shield on the carrier’s surface was instantly shattered by the blow, and nearly half of the carrier’s hull was vaporized by the purple mist. However, the main cannon ports on the carrier had already opened. The main cannon, fully charged, spat out a gigantic beam of light, ten kilometers in diameter, shooting directly toward the Reclining Buddha.
The main cannon of the improved Nuwa-class super-carrier possessed striking power equivalent to the peak of a Taiyi Golden Immortal. While this power amounted to little compared to Gu Xichen and the others now, the main cannon was etched with thousands of various intricate formations, granting the light beam various abilities to breach restrictions and probe. Its effect was comparable to Gu Xichen’s close-range divine sense inspection.
The beam, roaring with tremendous sound, pierced through layer after layer of wave-like, colorless, invisible barriers, slowly closing in on the Reclining Buddha.
Above the carrier, a massive light screen soared into the sky. Data feedback from the beam poured out like a tide.
Proximity Paradox Meru Mustard Seed Restriction, Spatial Imprisonment Restriction, various Deity-Confusing Restrictions, various Sinister Demonic Restrictions, and tens of thousands of other Buddhist restrictive spells and techniques—the data on the light screen displayed virtually every restriction the beam encountered on its path.
Gu Xichen smiled; Lakshmi’s face turned incredibly grim.
Lakshmi never dreamed there was such a strange method to probe her Buddha-realm. If Gu Xichen had spied with his divine sense, Lakshmi was confident she could have misled his perception, preventing him from grasping any reality or falsehood.
If Gu Xichen had entered the Buddha-realm personally, she would have been even more certain of trapping him there for eternity, never allowing release.
But Gu Xichen used an inanimate object combined with formations to probe her Buddha-realm, and Lakshmi suffered a great loss before she could guard against it. The reality of the Buddha-realm was laid bare before Gu Xichen. This was something Lakshmi had failed to guard against—she had sealed the void around the Buddha-realm, preventing any electronic signals from transmitting outward, naturally unafraid of Gu Xichen receiving any data externally.
However, the super-carrier displayed the data directly on a visible light screen, which Gu Xichen saw with perfect clarity.
To lure Gu Xichen into her Buddha-realm, Lakshmi had deliberately revealed its true form, foregoing restrictions that would distort light and shadow. The reality of the Buddha-realm was instantly seen through by Gu Xichen; she bore 99% of the responsibility for this failure.
Cursing Gu Xichen’s treachery and craftiness in a fit of rage, Lakshmi controlled the Reclining Buddha avatar and was about to reinforce the Buddha-realm’s restrictions when Gu Xichen roared. As purple energy continuously surged around him, a large contingent of divine generals and star lords, whose cultivation had reached the Great Overarching Golden Immortal realm, charged into the Buddha-realm following Gu Xichen.
Following the detailed map of the Buddha-realm obtained by the super-carrier, Gu Xichen led his group charging into the realm in a nine-palace formation. The first thing they did was unleash a lightning spell downward, tearing open the void before them. Immediately, the Buddha-realm shuddered, and golden light spilled everywhere. The twenty-seven Bodhisattvas within the shrine-like treasure wheels behind Lakshmi’s head flickered with light and shadow.
Fuya7Ming, Yang Jian, the Monkey, the four Mo Li brothers, and the three Kongsang brothers leaped up, brandishing their weapons and charging toward various parts of Mount Meru to slay.
Fuya7Ming, leading her Three Corpses avatars, rushed to a lotus pool and swallowed the entire pool dry with a roar from her Golden Body Bodhisattva avatar. Instantly, the entire Mount Meru dimmed, and the colors of all the Bodhi groves and lotuses faded slightly.
Yang Jian, with his four Three Corpses avatars trailing behind him, leaped up, leaving four afterimages, and dashed toward a towering Bodhi tree a hundred zhang high. With swift strikes, he delivered thousands of cuts, severing the Bodhi tree at the waist.
A groan echoed from within Mount Meru. All the Bodhi trees and lotuses in the mountain simultaneously withered, half of their vitality dissipating.
The Monkey laughed strangely as he rushed among hundreds of young nuns chanting the Diamond Sutra. He struck down one ordinary-looking, unremarkable girl with a single swing of his staff.
Upon this girl’s death, countless celestial dragons, maidens, Vajras, and Wisdom Kings—the Buddhist entities in the void—sighed in unison. Immediately, over thirty percent of the Buddhist entities dissolved into light and shadow, scattering away.
The Heavenly Generals and Star Lords like Kongsang Ri and others acted according to plan, fiercely destroying various points across Mount Meru based on the detailed layout provided by the super-carrier’s probe. These targets were precisely the vital weak points of the Buddha-realm. Regardless of Lakshmi’s attempts to alter the realm’s restrictions, the majority of the restrictions within Mount Meru had already been broken.
Unlike a true Buddha who evolves a Buddha-realm purely through intent, Lakshmi’s so-called Buddha-realm was an ambiguous mixture of illusion and energy, requiring a certain number of energy cores for stable existence.
Once these energy cores were discovered and destroyed, the structure of her Buddha-realm would face major problems.
It was clear that this was the first time Lakshmi had used her Buddha-realm divine ability to fight an opponent. Gu Xichen had seen through the reality of her realm and charged in, yet she had failed to react promptly.
With the Proximity Paradox restriction and spatial barriers largely destroyed, Gu Xichen suddenly unleashed the Pangu Banner. A silent stream of chaotic spiritual light shot out, tearing a massive hole in the void ahead, leading directly to the lotus throne atop Mount Meru.
Yellowish-black Xuan Qi erupted from above Gu Xichen’s head. His Three Corpses avatars, each holding a supreme treasure, leaped out, following Gu Xichen as he charged toward Lakshmi.
Lakshmi shrieked in anger. The Reclining Buddha avatar suddenly sprang up, and her body instantly compressed to just a few zhang in height. Golden-red lightning spewed from both her palms as she roared repeatedly, charging toward Gu Xichen.
Twenty-four crimson jewels erupted from behind Lakshmi. The Primordial Yang Pearls—which Gu Xichen had designed and placed into her hands—rolled out, carrying surging heat waves, and violently hammered down toward Gu Xichen.
Gu Xichen chuckled strangely. He nimbly evaded the avatar’s attack, formed a bizarre hand seal, and lightly tapped the foremost Primordial Yang Pearl, letting out a sharp, clear incantation.
Green light flashed wildly as a peculiar, malevolent energy struck the Primordial Yang Pearl, instantly agitating the pre-laid restrictions within it.
All twenty-four Primordial Yang Pearls simultaneously shuddered. This subtle vibration provoked the innate Primordial Spirit Lakshmi had attached to them, nearly shattering it. Lakshmi’s body convulsed abruptly, and she suddenly vomited large amounts of blood from all her orifices. With a scream, her eyes rolled back, and she tumbled backward.
Gu Xichen had utilized the embedded restrictions within the Primordial Yang Pearls to successfully inflict heavy damage upon Lakshmi. Unfortunately, Lakshmi’s soul origin seemed protected by some extremely powerful force; the restrictive power had gravely injured her primordial spirit but failed to annihilate her.
Hanuman let out a cry of horror. He snatched up Lakshmi and leaped toward the sky.
A white ray shot out from the Grand Yin Mystic Pearl, striking Hanuman with dozens of pieces of profound ice. Wherever the ice touched his body, a thin layer of frost immediately formed. The chilling cold of the Mystic Freezing Qi was absolute; Hanuman shivered repeatedly, nearly falling from the sky.
A low laugh echoed. A black figure rushed out of the Grand Yin Mystic Pearl—the Corpse Emperor, radiating oppressive killing intent, brandished two long swords and slashed toward Lakshmi’s fatal weak points.
Lakshmi cried out in pain. She clutched the frozen-stiff Hanuman, transformed into a beam of spiritual light, and suddenly dispersed.
Gu Xichen’s eyes turned utterly cold. He shouted fiercely, “Do you think you can escape today?”
Using the resonance of the Primordial Yang Pearls, Gu Xichen clearly tracked Lakshmi’s location. Though he couldn’t see her, nor could his divine sense capture her existence, the pearls were there, and so was Lakshmi.
The Chaos Bell suddenly rang, sending out a black sonic wave that howled forth. A stretch of void several thousand li in radius instantly shattered, and everything within that space was pulverized into chaotic particles. A black spiritual light spewed from the Chaos Bell, greedily swallowing the chaotic particles that had replaced the void.
Lakshmi’s frail body struggled at the edge of that void. She cried out in anxious helplessness, barely managing to conjure the twenty-four Primordial Yang Pearls to protect herself, enveloping her body in a crimson glow. She intended to use the power of the pearls to break free from the chaotic space.
But using the Primordial Yang Pearls—which she needed to avoid—had instead subjected Lakshmi to another severe blow.
Gu Xichen hardened his resolve, swung the Pangu Banner backhand, and swept it fiercely toward the Primordial Yang Pearls. With a dull thud, Gu Xichen snapped a hand seal, and the one hundred and eight Primordial Yang Pearls located across the Three Pure Realms and the Human Realm simultaneously vanished into nothingness. The force suggested they had been utterly crushed by the fierce blow of the Pangu Banner.
Pitiable Lakshmi’s innate Primordial Spirit attached to the pearls was thus annihilated. A stream of blood spurted from Lakshmi’s seven orifices. With a look of ghastly horror, she glared at Gu Xichen, and her body once again transformed into a light ray, sinking into the void.
How could Gu Xichen allow her to flee again? The Seal of All Beings swept out a torrent of black and yellow, accompanied by a dull sound of air breaking, and slammed down directly onto the void where Lakshmi had vanished.
Boundless starlight transformed into a silver tidal wave, enveloping that stretch of void and firmly locking down the nearly dead body of Lakshmi.
The Seal of All Beings fell upon Lakshmi’s head, crushing her physical body to dust in a single blow.
A strange, piercing scream echoed. A crimson lotus flew out from Lakshmi’s body, accompanied by streams of spiritual light, flickering once before vanishing without a trace.
In the void, Vishnu’s incredibly enraged roar arrived, signaling his declaration of death:
“Evil Dragon Venerable, you destroyed my avatar and injured my beloved wife! I shall fight you unto death!”
Gu Xichen let out a faint sigh. With his hands behind his back, he looked up and laughed coldly, “Vishnu, I await you!”
His Three Corpses avatars simultaneously spewed forth vast amounts of radiant mist and auspicious energy, their flames subtly pushing back the surrounding starlight, preventing it from approaching an inch.
