The room was rather dim due to the drawn curtains, and Kuang Feifan gave a sudden shudder upon seeing a flash of stark white teeth, nearly throwing a punch.

Fortunately, as Feng Tian spoke, he had already placed the bowl on a table, then flipped on every light in the room, casually closing the door, and connecting two iron nails in opposite corners with a red thread, completely encircling the room to form a loop.

Kuang Feifan took out his lighter and proceeded to ignite the eight candles one by one.

While he was lighting the candles, Feng Tian had already pulled out a long, slender, hard paper cylinder from the bag he had brought in earlier. He popped the lid off, took out three incense sticks, and then placed the bowl of rice on the floor facing the little girl seated in the chair. He lit the three incense sticks with fire, but instead of using his mouth, he carefully fanned out the flame with his hand. Only then did he swiftly turn and stick the incense into the rice within the bowl.

While the two of them were busy, Fang Yingyu remained slumped in the chair, motionless, as if everything happening in the room had nothing to do with her. Yet, Feng Tian noticed that the pupils of her eyes occasionally contracted and expanded.

A faint smile touched Feng Tian’s lips. Some reaction was better than none. He instructed Kuang Feifan to stand behind Fang Yingyu, place his hands on her shoulders, and warned him that if he felt any resistance, he should apply more force—under no circumstances should the young girl be allowed to leave the chair.

After Kuang Feifan took his position behind the chair, Feng Tian approached, holding the bowl filled with blood. Kuang Feifan guessed the blood in the bowl was from the chicken and was quite surprised. He had only stepped out for a short while; how had Feng Tian managed to slaughter a chicken without making a sound?

Feng Tian gritted his teeth, stuck his middle finger into his mouth, channeled his internal energy for a long moment, then pulled it out and extended the finger towards Kuang Feifan. This angered the latter so much he nearly threw a punch. However, before his fist could clench, he heard Feng Tian say, "Could you do me a favor and prick it open?"

"Uh..." Kuang Feifan paused, slightly stunned.

Feng Tian added in annoyance, "Damn it, I really didn't have the heart to bite my own finger open unless it was absolutely necessary."

Kuang Feifan felt both annoyed and amused. Following Feng Tian’s request, he located a silver needle in Feng Tian's bag and forcefully stabbed it into Feng Tian's middle finger.

"Ow..." Feng Tian yelped, glared at him, and then squeezed a few drops of blood from his finger into the bowl.

"Need a Band-Aid?" Kuang Feifan mocked him.

Feng Tian ignored him, shook the pricked hand, sucked on it a few times, and then used his index finger to dip into the blood in the bowl, dabbing a spot on Fang Yingyu’s glabella, the philtrum, the center of both palms, and the center of both soles.

The moment Feng Tian finished dabbing the blood on her soles, Kuang Feifan distinctly felt the young girl’s body jolt. Feng Tian snatched the fake Erguotou that had been set aside earlier, bit open the cap, and poured some over the Baihui acupoint on the top of Fang Yingyu’s head. He then poured the chicken blood, and instantly, the alcohol mixed with the chicken blood streamed down from the crown of her head.

Just then, Feng Tian pulled out a small bottle of incense ash and sprinkled it over Fang Yingyu’s head, shouting loudly, "Fang Yingyu!"

Before the shout had fully faded, Fang Yingyu suddenly began to shriek, her entire
