"What?" Kuang Feifan asked again, as if he hadn't quite heard, but this time Feng Tian offered no reply. Kuang Feifan had clearly heard the preceding statement but was unwilling to accept what his ears had conveyed.

"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey..." Remembering the liquid that had just entered his mouth, Kuang Feifan instinctively spat several times. No wonder it had tasted a bit strange; even diluted, it must not have entirely escaped his sensitive sense of smell.

Feng Tian showed no sign of embarrassment whatsoever, lying limply on a sofa, all four limbs relaxed.

Kuang Feifan understood that regardless of the circumstances, that water had been poured to save them; it was just the added ingredients that were somewhat unbearable. He glanced suspiciously at Feng Tian and asked, "You actually carry Tongzi Niao on you? That stuff..."

Suddenly, he paused in thought, then pointed at Feng Tian as if he had discovered something entirely new, exclaiming with considerable surprise, "So you're still a virgin..."

"Cut it out..." Feng Tian struggled to sit up, glaring, and waved his fist at Kuang Feifan, sharply ordering him to stop before he could finish the sentence.

"Hahahaha..." Kuang Feifan seemed to have stumbled upon something highly amusing. Though he kept silent, he couldn't help but laugh. Recalling Feng Tian’s previous boast about his blood being superior to Kuang Feifan’s, combined with this specially concocted water, deducing Feng Tian's status was not difficult.

Now it was finally Feng Tian’s turn to feel a bit miffed. There was nothing he could do; he hadn't intended to mention this matter at all. While inherently insignificant, it was the sort of thing that easily invited a bout of "contempt."

However, a Tongzi (virgin boy) was the rarest "species" in the ghost-exorcism trade, and he would not casually breach this boundary unless absolutely necessary.

"Are you done laughing?" Feng Tian snapped irritably at Kuang Feifan.

In truth, Kuang Feifan rarely mocked anyone so exaggeratedly, but since Feng Tian had always been bossing him around, now that he finally had leverage, Kuang Feifan decided to tease him with a mix of jest and seriousness.

Waving his hand, Kuang Feifan’s expression gradually returned to normal. He glanced at He Yang and Julie. Aside from looking utterly miserable—especially Julie, whose head was currently covered in blood—both were unconscious.

Resisting the urge to relax, he forced himself up to check on the two again. Feng Tian watched for a moment. "It’s fine. They’re just deeply asleep right now—a perfect bodily defense mechanism. There’s no danger to their lives, but they might suffer some psychological shock. Once they wake up, they’ll probably need their parents to find them a psychiatrist."

Mentioning a psychiatrist instantly brought Bai Ru to Kuang Feifan's mind.

However, the current situation didn't allow him to dwell on other matters. Seeing that the two youngsters were indeed out of mortal danger, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He found two bottles of mineral water, handed one to Feng Tian, and found a sofa to sit down and rest.

After drinking half a bottle, he felt uncomfortable with the silence enveloping the room and couldn't resist asking, "What exactly was that thing in the mirror just now? Its body looked like those three students... it was too bizarre."

Feng Tian let out a soft "En," "It was the game they were playing that actually 'invited' out a vengeful spirit (Xionghun). I’ve only seen one before. The ability of a Xionghun is specifically to devour the souls of those it has harmed, and it won’t disappear until it has completely consumed the gamers. These two kids were lucky."

Kuang Feifan couldn't help but offer a wry smile. "The sound that thing made was truly something else."

Feng Tian shrugged, a flash of embarrassment crossing his face. "Honestly, it was my oversight. If I hadn't forgotten about that television, we wouldn't have been forced into such a tight spot by it."

"Uh..." Regarding his explanation, Kuang Feifan could only express speechless agreement. Since the matter was resolved, it could finally be considered closed.

Feng Tian collected himself, got up, and pulled away the red thread that had been blocking the stairs. He then headed upstairs to find a guest room, clearly intending to sleep.

Kuang Feifan frowned. "You’re not staying with them?"

He pointed at He Xu and Julie on the sofa.

Feng Tian waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry. It’s best not to move them right now. Just let them stay as they are. When they wake up naturally, everything will be completely fine."

Kuang Feifan considered it; perhaps the two children deserved a lesson. He shrugged, decided to follow Feng Tian upstairs to find a room to sleep in, and realized that spending so much time with Feng Tian had rubbed off on him, making him less concerned with formalities.

They both slept soundly until dawn broke, only being roused when Feng Tian kicked open the door to Kuang Feifan's room. Kuang Feifan reluctantly opened his eyes, looked at Feng Tian standing at the doorway, shaking his phone, and mumbled doubtfully, "What's wrong?"

"It looks like we have to head back to Futian Garden again." Feng Tian's expression was grim.

That sentence, paired with his look, told Kuang Feifan that whatever had happened at Futian Garden wasn't fully resolved. He sprang out of bed immediately, slapped his face twice, and followed Feng Tian out of the room.

"I’ve already told He Xufu to drive over directly," Feng Tian said in a low voice.

Neither of them stood on ceremony. After quickly washing up in He Xu's bathroom, He Xu and Julie on the sofa also slowly began to stir awake.

It was evident they hadn't recovered from the previous night’s maddening screams. As soon as they regained consciousness, they involuntarily shrieked. Feng Tian showed no intention of gentleness, dousing each with a cup of cold water before they quieted down.

Since their parents were requested not to arrive until noon, Feng Tian had to send He Xufu here to find them. Soon enough, the doorbell rang.

Kuang Feifan went to open the door and found He Xufu standing outside, panting, his face etched with obvious fear. Kuang Feifan paused in surprise. "Why do you look like that?"

"They wouldn't let the car come to the door, so I ran in," He Xufu said, clutching the notebook under his arm and constantly licking his dry lips.

Kuang Feifan quickly pulled him inside. Seeing the chaotic state of the living room, He Xufu was momentarily stunned before realizing that Master Feng must have been busy all night again. He looked at the two with considerable awe. "You two worked hard all night again; you must not have rested well."

Feng Tian smiled and waved his hand, not saying much. He beckoned Kuang Feifan to accompany him upstairs to take He Xu and Julie to separate bedrooms so they could properly rest.

He Xu was easier to manage, but when Julie saw the dried blood caked on her face, she was startled anew. Feng Tian couldn't be bothered to explain; he just told her to clean herself up and, using an almost commanding tone, ordered her to rest in bed.

Kuang Feifan knew Feng Tian didn't think highly of the two kids, but given that all this trouble started because they played that game together, he didn't try to persuade Feng Tian.

However, even though Feng Tian presented an outwardly indifferent front, the two had endured such an ordeal the night before. To ensure they could relax and rest now, he specifically prepared two cups of water imbued with protective charms for them to drink, found two sleeping pills for them to take, and only went downstairs to find He Xufu after watching them drift off heavily to sleep.

Downstairs, he discovered He Xufu pacing restlessly, darting around the living room like a headless fly. Even when sitting on the sofa, he would only perch on the edge before jumping up again, resembling someone suffering from hemorrhoids.

"What’s the situation?" Seeing his agitation, Feng Tian walked over and asked directly.

Upon seeing both of them descend from upstairs, He Xufu grabbed Feng Tian as if he were a savior and pulled him onto the sofa. He quickly opened his laptop, adjusted the program, and spoke in a tone that sent a chill down their spines. "When I went to check this morning, I discovered a terrifying sight..."

Kuang Feifan leaned closer curiously. He Xufu continued, "You wouldn't believe it. When I first entered, everything seemed quite normal, but when I got to the master bedroom, I was truly shocked..."

Feng Tian frowned. "Get to the point. You were vague on the phone, and you're still dragging this out now."

He Xufu gave a dry chuckle. Seeing him keep licking his lips, Kuang Feifan handed him a bottle of water. "Just tell us what happened directly."

Taking the water, He Xufu looked at both of them and deliberately lowered his voice. "The first thing I saw upon entering was that the camera fixed on the tripod had fallen over."

"Uh..." Kuang Feifan paused, then turned to ask Feng Tian, "Did you set it up? Did you not secure it properly?"

Feng Tian shook his head.

He Xufu was clearly displeased with their interruption, wildly waving both hands. "Come on, I haven't finished yet! I’ve already pulled up the files recorded by the camera and the one installed yesterday—you two look for yourselves..."

By the time he finished, his voice was trembling, which finally made Feng Tian and Kuang Feifan focus intently.

Just then, the program on the computer loaded. Seeing He Xufu's hands trembling slightly as he touched the keyboard, Kuang Feifan patted his shoulder, ushered him aside, and took over, pulling up last night's recording from the computer.

Both the webcam and the digital video camera had night vision capabilities. He first opened the file from the digital video camera.

The beginning of the recording was normal. The bed in the master bedroom was in the center of the frame, and a corner of the bathroom was visible, specifically near the bathroom door.

Kuang Feifan turned to He Xufu. "You watched it? Did you note the time?"

He Xufu grimaced. "No... didn't finish watching."

Sighing in resignation, he fast-forwarded the recording to 4x speed. Finally, exactly at midnight, an anomaly appeared in the footage.

A small white shadow rapidly drifted out of the bathroom and then vanished into a nearby wall.

Kuang Feifan quickly reverted the playback speed to normal, rewound a bit, and watched again. Sure enough, a white figure, not very tall, drifted out from the closed bathroom door before quickly disappearing into the adjacent wall.

Continuing to watch, new activity appeared in the footage. The white figure flickered in and out of view repeatedly within the room, seemingly wandering aimlessly.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a single clear shot. Soon, the video shifted abruptly, tilting heavily to the side, suggesting someone had pushed the tripod over, though nothing in the frame indicated what had done it.

"This..." Before Kuang Feifan could offer an opinion, He Xufu pointed frantically at another file. "Look at this one, look at this one..."

Opening the file revealed a segment recorded by the camera installed in a corner of the living room ceiling, positioned perfectly to capture most of the living room.

Suddenly, without warning, a white object began to drift down from above the lens, gradually obscuring the entire camera view. Immediately following this, a pair of eyes seemed to flash, succeeded by a wide, open mouth, as if smiling. Below that, a field of white moved across the lens before disappearing from the top edge to the bottom.

The corner of the wall was a good 2.7 meters off the floor.
