The place where Hu Xin was beaten turned out to be their logistics company site. Hu Xin and Gu Cheng had opened their logistics company in the Logistics Park, an area teeming with various logistics firms.

After informing Li Ya and the others, Zhang Yang immediately departed.

Zhang Yang's need to leave caused Li Ya some disappointment; Zhang Yang had the best alcohol tolerance among them, but if he had matters to attend to, there was nothing Li Ya could do.

Zhang Yang did not tell Li Ya and the others about Hu Xin’s situation. If he had, several more people would likely have tagged along. Today was the company's opening day, and Zhang Yang did not want his own troubles to spoil everyone’s mood.

Driving his car, Zhang Yang’s expression remained rather grim.

Hu Xin and his crew had always enjoyed good business. Earlier, Zhang Yang had even considered giving a heads-up, letting people know they had backing.

But before he could even send out a warning, trouble had already struck Hu Xin.

At this moment, Zhang Yang felt a pang of regret. He should have handled this sooner. He was capable, but ultimately, he was only human, and humans were prone to oversight.

All he could do now was pray—pray that Hu Xin was alright, or else those who had caused the harm would surely pay a devastating price.

The Logistics Park was rather far out, situated on the outskirts.

Zhang Yang picked a good route and sped along, taking nearly twenty minutes to arrive.

The Logistics Park was essentially one street lined with logistics companies, large and small. Hu Xin and his group had rented a storefront here, situated near the parking lot, where many of their vehicles were parked.

Before he even arrived, Zhang Yang spotted a large crowd gathered outside Hu Xin's company entrance from a distance.

Screech!

The tires of the Mercedes squealed against the pavement as it stopped abruptly. Zhang Yang leaped out of the car the moment it halted.

With over a hundred people watching outside, Zhang Yang forced his way through the crowd to get inside. Once in, he saw a man stepping directly on Hu Xin’s head. Beneath Hu Xin lay a pool of blood.

This was the storefront of Hu Xin’s company. Besides Hu Xin lying beaten on the ground, about a dozen company employees were crouched nearby, not daring to move an inch. Gu Cheng was also present, but he was not faring much better—his face was swollen and bruised, and a smashed mobile phone lay beside him.

“You chose the hard way, now take the penalty. This is just a small lesson. You have one last day. If you still refuse to sell, you won’t even get a hundred thousand!”

The man standing on Hu Xin was a heavily tattooed youth, appearing about twenty-four or twenty-five, with a noticeable scar across his face, making him look extremely menacing.

Many people outside were pointing fingers and whispering amongst themselves, yet not a single person dared to step inside.

“Hey kid, what are you doing? Get lost!”

One of the men beside the Scarred Man noticed Zhang Yang and walked over, cursing, reaching out to shove Zhang Yang.

The moment he reached Zhang Yang’s side, Zhang Yang grabbed his arm. A moment later, the man let out a tragic howl before Zhang Yang threw him clear across the room.

“Anyone else dare cause trouble?”

The Scarred Man froze for an instant, then his face hardened into fury. He roared and charged at Zhang Yang, clutching a steel pipe in his hand.

It wasn't just him; several others nearby rushed forward as well.

Inside this single room were at least twenty young men, most of them tattooed, clearly looking like trouble.

Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

The fate of those who approached Zhang Yang was predictable. Each one was sent flying by Zhang Yang, and the Scarred Man was now caught in Zhang Yang’s grip, screaming incessantly.

The Scarred Man felt Zhang Yang’s relatively small hands as if they were iron vises. Not only did he have no strength left in his body while held by Zhang Yang, but the pain in his arm made him feel as if it no longer belonged to him.

Twenty-odd men were dealt with in under two minutes by Zhang Yang.

A punch or a kick—whenever Zhang Yang made a move, one person was guaranteed to fly out, and the person who flew out would never get back up again.

The hundred or so onlookers outside were stunned into silence by this display, their mouths agape, no one daring to utter another word. They had never witnessed such power before.

Zhang Yang, his face shadowed, dragged the Scarred Man directly in front of Hu Xin. He reached out to grasp Hu Xin’s wrist, and his frown deepened immediately.

Hu Xin had been severely beaten. He was already unconscious, and upon closer inspection, Zhang Yang discovered Hu Xin’s arm was broken.

These people had clearly intended to beat him to death. So much blood had been spilled, yet no one had bothered to check on him. If Zhang Yang hadn't arrived, Hu Xin would have been in danger of excessive blood loss, possibly life-threatening.

Crack!

Zhang Yang’s fingers suddenly tightened, and the Scarred Man let out a scream like a slaughtered pig. With just that squeeze, the bones in the Scarred Man’s wrist were crushed by Zhang Yang.

It was a complete shattering, and the bone Zhang Yang had crushed could not be set by others—this Scarred Man’s hand was effectively finished.

Zhang Yang’s nature had always been clear: return a foot of kindness with ten feet of generosity. They had broken Hu Xin’s arm; Zhang Yang had immediately crippled his hand in return, settling the score for Hu Xin.

“Boss, you’re finally here!”

Gu Cheng cried out, rushing to Zhang Yang, then knelt beside Hu Xin on the ground.

“I’m here, it’s alright. Wait a moment, I need to treat Hu Xin first!”

Zhang Yang comforted him softly, taking out silver needles to stop Hu Xin’s bleeding. He had some basic gauze in his bag and gently bandaged Hu Xin.

After finishing these first aid measures, Zhang Yang took out his phone to call an ambulance. Hu Xin’s injuries were severe; Zhang Yang’s on-site tools were insufficient, and he needed a hospital.

“Tell me, what exactly happened?”

Having seen to Hu Xin, Zhang Yang asked in a low voice, as he still did not have a full picture of the situation.

Gu Cheng glanced back at the wailing men on the floor, a flicker of hatred crossing his eyes.

“It’s like this: The West Street of the Logistics Park has a Boss Wang. They saw our business was good and wanted a stake in it. He only put up fifty thousand yuan but demanded five percent of the shares, which Hu Xin and I naturally refused!”

Gu Cheng spoke slowly, his eyes brimming with hatred as he recounted the story.

That Boss Wang, upon being refused the investment, decided instead to buy out their company outright, offering a mere hundred thousand yuan.

Boss Wang’s company had been operating for a long time, with connections both legitimate and illicit. He was clearly taking advantage of Hu Xin and Gu Cheng’s youth, planning a straightforward takeover.

The investment for this logistics company had exceeded a million. Through their diligent management, it now generated nearly a million in profit annually. To sell it for one hundred thousand was no different from robbery.

Hu Xin had argued fiercely with Boss Wang over this, insisting they would never sell the company.

Just two days later, a group of thugs showed up causing trouble. Hu Xin exchanged only a few words with them before being beaten. Hu Xin had a fiery temper and immediately wanted to fight them off.

Unfortunately, he was alone, and two fists are no match for four hands. He was quickly subdued and severely injured.

Gu Cheng, being relatively more level-headed at the time, immediately called Zhang Yang. As soon as he finished dialing, the thugs discovered him, smashed his phone, and proceeded to beat him as well.

“Why didn’t you tell me about the incident from two days ago?”

After hearing Gu Cheng’s account, Zhang Yang asked, his face grim. Gu Cheng started crying again.

“I wanted to tell you, but Hu Xin stopped me. He said we shouldn’t always bother you with everything; we could handle it ourselves. We just didn’t expect this guy to be so vicious. Today they sent people specifically to beat us up!”

Gu Cheng’s temperament was slightly softer, lacking decisiveness when faced with conflict, whereas Hu Xin was a man of strong will. He wouldn't trouble others for issues he believed he could resolve. Asking Zhang Yang for help over a mere verbal dispute would make him seem too incompetent.

However, he never anticipated that the other party would send enforcers so quickly, and those enforcers would immediately resort to brutality, beating him severely.

The ten or so employees who had been squatting in the room finally recovered their wits and cautiously stood up, gathering around.

They were ordinary staff and naturally dared not confront these thugs. The thugs hadn't bothered them much; their main target was Hu Xin and Gu Cheng.

“You all throw these people out—throw them as far as you can!”

Zhang Yang glanced calmly at the employees and issued a soft command.

These employees did not know Zhang Yang, and they all paused, but then every one of them sprang into action, obediently following his instructions.

Though they didn't know Zhang Yang, they had witnessed his ruthlessness. He had taken down these fierce thugs alone so quickly, proving he was far more capable than them.

The dozen or so men were slowly tossed out. Those who had been sent flying by Zhang Yang earlier were all nursing internal injuries; Zhang Yang’s anger over Hu Xin’s condition had led him to strike harder.

But the one suffering the most was the Scarred Face—his hand was completely ruined, and he himself had passed out.

Including the Scarred Man, everyone was thrown outside. Some of these men were conscious and struggled to reach the Scarred Man to retrieve his phone and make a call.

The ambulance arrived relatively quickly; it wasn't long before it was there.

This was an ambulance from the Development Zone Hospital, as the Logistics Park was located in the Development Zone, making the hospital the closest option.

Zhang Yang instructed Gu Cheng to take Hu Xin into the ambulance. After a moment’s thought, he made a call back home.

He asked Qu Meilan to come to the hospital to look after Hu Xin and provide some protection. As for himself, he had no intention of going to the hospital yet.

Every offense has its source. This incident was instigated by that Boss Wang. Zhang Yang’s next stop was finding this Boss Wang.

Bullying his brothers and daring to inflict serious injury—Zhang Yang would show no mercy to Boss Wang.

After a moment of hesitation, Zhang Yang dialed another number. This time, he called Xiao Dai.

Hu Xin being beaten was no small matter that could be concealed. It was better to tell them now so they could assist at the hospital; Hu Xin’s recovery would not be a matter of a day or two.

Xiao Dai burst into tears upon hearing Hu Xin was injured, repeatedly asking Zhang Yang where Hu Xin was.

Once she knew the hospital address, she immediately hailed a cab to rush over. She happened to be working at the restaurant today; Mi Xue and Nannan were both at school.

After hanging up, a fierce glint flashed in Zhang Yang’s eyes as he looked towards the thugs still lying discarded outside. Not a single one of them could manage to get up.

There was a police booth not far away, but unfortunately, it was completely empty.

Normally, someone would be on duty there, but today everyone had apparently received an early notice and left. The Logistics Park was notorious for having many companies with underworld backing—people these petty criminals dared not easily offend.
