At the tone of his voice and the condescending way he questioned Pangu, a subtle anger stirred in the hearts of those present. However, seeing Pangu's humble demeanor, coupled with the bone-chilling sensation they had just experienced, they understood the black-clad youth was no simple figure, so they suppressed their irritation and remained silent.
“I know that,” Pangu nodded, his eyes lighting up. “Do the Ten Pavilions True Master plan to take it over? I know a place, reputed to be one of the Four Great Mountain Ranges of the world—the Dragon Scale Range. It gathers the positive energy rays of the cosmos, giving rise to countless Dao Stones, with Divine Stones everywhere, and many precious medicinal herbs besides. Cultivating there increases efficiency by a hundredfold compared to the outside world!”
The Ten Pavilions True Master spoke indifferently, “Where is the foremost mountain range in the world?”
Pangu’s eyelids twitched. “You plan to conquer the foremost range?”
“Is that not permissible?” The Ten Pavilions True Master slanted his head to look at him sideways.
Cold sweat beaded on Pangu’s forehead as he quickly demurred, “No, it’s just that the geography of this foremost range is too treacherous. It is Mount Bailing. Outside it flows the Heavenly Crossing River, and it is rumored that the demon spirits of Mount Bailing were once sealed within; their power is immeasurably immense. Moreover, within the mountain lies the great protective formation established by their progenitor. If one does not know how to break it, legends say even an expert of the Epoch Realm cannot escape!”
“Mount Bailing.” Ye Chen’s heart leaped, his hand tightening slightly, a trace of worry flashing across his brow.
“Oh?” The Ten Pavilions True Master glanced at him askance. “How are the resources within Mount Bailing?”
Pangu gave a wry smile but dared not withhold the answer. “Mount Bailing is known as the foremost spiritual mountain of the world. Its lineage is said to date back to the Primordial Era, three thousand epochs ago, when it was obtained by the ancestor of the Bai family, who then occupied the entire mountain range. Now, the Bai family controlling Mount Bailing has become one of the Nine Great Families of the world—arguably the most rapidly rising and fiercely aggressive power on the entire Primordial Continent, while the other families, Divine Halls, or Empires boast histories spanning tens of thousands of epochs.”
“Then let it be that one,” the Ten Pavilions True Master immediately stood up and walked toward the exit.
“You are going…” Pangu was slightly bewildered.
“You all gather your clansmen and move there directly. I will go first; speed up your process.” The Ten Pavilions True Master left a cold sentence without looking back, and the moment his figure crossed the threshold, a ripple of light flashed across him, and he vanished into thin air.
Everyone in the main hall exchanged glances, all looking startled and confused. Startled because the Ten Pavilions True Master had left, yet they had not sensed any energy fluctuation indicative of teleportation; confused because Mount Bailing was such a place—even the Ten Great Divine Halls had coveted it for ages but could not conquer it. Did this man intend to resist the hundreds of civilizations stationed on Mount Bailing, controlled by the Bai family, by his own strength alone?
“Great God Pangu, who is this person…” Finally, someone could not resist asking Pangu.
Pangu retracted his gaze and let out a soft sigh. “You all know that I was born from the Origin Creation Lotus Platform, and this platform is a weapon created by the Origin Supreme, one of the three supreme beings of the Truth Realm. And this Ten Pavilions True Master is the tenth-ranked emissary under the Origin Supreme, hence the title ‘Ten Pavilions True Master.’”
“The Truth Realm?” Everyone looked blank. “We’ve never heard of such a place, and… are there nine other monsters even stronger than this person?”
No one dared to contemplate it further. They felt that the Ten Pavilions True Master alone could easily slay everyone present with a mere wave of his hand, yet there were nine monsters stronger than him! Not to mention the three supreme beings even mightier than them—their strength was something unimaginable…
“The Truth Realm is another expanse of space outside the Ancient World, separated by the World Barrier. Little information leaks from that realm, which is why you do not know,” Nuwa took up the conversation, her eyes, clear as autumn water, sweeping over the assembly. “Our Spiritual Civilization belongs to one of the civilizing forces the Origin Supreme has infiltrated into the Ancient World, and we are the one they value most. Therefore, in the days ahead, everyone must perform well!”
Everyone’s minds reeled. They had always believed that the Divine Emperor limit was the strongest realm, and those stronger were on the level of the Ten Hall Masters. Never did they imagine that there were beings even more formidable above that level.
“Alright, everyone go back and prepare for the relocation,” Nuwa waved her hand in command.
Shao Hao could not help but ask, “Can this person really conquer Mount Bailing? You must know that place is perilous to an extent that the Dragon Scale Range cannot compare with. Just the Heavenly Crossing River outside cannot be crossed without an [Aether Bridge]. Inside, there is the protective grand formation and the concentration of hundreds of peak experts from the Bai family’s civilizations. Can he manage alone?”
Pangu remained silent, then suddenly spoke, “His strength is far greater than the limits you can imagine. He could annihilate all of the Ten Hall Masters combined with a single finger!”
Everyone stared at Pangu in stunned silence, their breath caught in their chests. Seeing the seriousness on his face, they confirmed he was not exaggerating.
But… such strength was simply monstrous…
Rokkheim Mountain.
In the subterranean world, inside a massive shard of crystal, the lid of the ice-snow crystal coffin had completely opened, allowing a soft white light to slant in, illuminating a face as handsome as a celestial deity. Lying within was a young man whose slender body was perfectly straight in the crystal sarcophagus, eyes lightly closed. His dense black eyebrows slanted sharply upward like carved feathers; his fair skin was eternally unchanging like ice and snow; his thin lips formed two sharp daggers. His golden-yellow hair curled like sea waves, and the silver-white robe tightly enveloped his body, its central, narrowly slit hem carved with exquisite patterns. He lay peacefully and calmly within the giant crystal coffin, radiating an aura as pure as snow.
Jizang Chuan wore a relaxed smile, but his eyes gradually grew serious. He carefully examined the man, compelled to admit that the other’s appearance surpassed his own. That eternally unchanging, ice-snow complexion, set against the backdrop of his flowing golden, wavy hair, made him look like the most beautiful heavenly deity!
More importantly, from this man, he felt a heart-stopping aura—cold, dark, and evil, like a monster that had slumbered for countless ages.
In the slow passage of time, under the soft white light…
The man lying in the massive crystal coffin slowly opened his eyes—they were deep blue, like a vast, profound, and mesmerizing ocean, so calm they showed not a single ripple. His pupils did not even move; he simply lay still in the coffin, gazing up at the ice-snow shards of the giant crystal above, his eyes betraying no light whatsoever.
After a long while, he slowly sat up. He rose from the crystal coffin, his body seeming to possess no weight, lifting lightly from his toes, floating out of the sarcophagus, and settling onto the adjacent sheet of ice. He extended his pale hand; his fingers were long and slender, translucent like jade. He gently adjusted his robes, tidying them, then turned his head to look at Jizang Chuan, who wore a faint smile. His voice, soft and pleasing, slowly arose: “Are you the Ten Seal Emissary?” Jizang Chuan started internally, astonished that the man had discerned his identity with a single glance. On the surface, however, he remained composed, chuckling lightly, “Indeed. How did you know? You guessed it right off the bat.”
“I didn't guess,” the man in the silver-white robe smiled, his eyes deep and captivating like stars. A subtle smile curved his lips. “You were ordered to liberate me; you must know who I am, right? Judging by the situation, the ‘U’ plan must have been initiated. Have the others arrived?”
Jizang Chuan shrugged, smiling easily. “The others are still present. Let me first survey the situation and simultaneously release you, who were sealed during the last Great Saint War. I will assist you in carrying out the plan here first. When the time is right, the others will come to help.”
“Oh?” The man in the silver-white robe glanced at him with interest, nodding slightly with a faint smile. “Originally, with your strength, you truly weren't qualified to assist me. However, since you have that thing inside you, it is sufficient.”
Jizang Chuan’s body vibrated slightly, his pupils contracting for a moment before quickly returning to normal. Yet, the shock in his heart was hard to quell. He knew well that the “that thing” he referred to was the ‘Sky Slaying’ artifact he had acquired by chance. That item was his greatest secret; no one knew of it. He never expected the person before him to recognize it at a glance. This could only mean one thing: the other’s power far exceeded his own!
The cold sweat in his heart slowly receded. Jizang Chuan suddenly recalled that when he left, the Supreme Lord had solemnly instructed him to release this man sealed beneath Rokkheim Mountain, no matter the circumstances. Now it seemed the Supreme Lord likely made this requirement because he considered this person’s terrifying strength.
“I’ve slept for so long; my joints are stiff,” the man in the silver-white robe stretched his shoulders, producing a faint cracking sound. A cold, sinister smile curved his lips. “Let’s go. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the outside world. I wonder how it has developed. How interesting. I wonder if those old acquaintances from back then are still around…”
“Yes,” Jizang Chuan suppressed the thoughts in his mind and nodded with a smile. “Some have fallen, and some remain.”
“Indeed. Just like the Ten Seal Emissary Dragonblood, who fell back then, now replaced by you,” the man in the silver-white robe chuckled lightly. “I wonder if anyone has taken my place during the long time I’ve been asleep.”
Jizang Chuan scratched his head, looking somewhat troubled. “The Supreme Lord cannot perceive what happens within the Ancient World and is uncertain of your situation, so…”
“So, someone has replaced me, is that it?” The smile on the silver-white robed man’s lips deepened, but his eyes shone with icy cold light. “I wonder who it is. This is quite interesting; I look forward to meeting them…”
Jizang Chuan gave a wry smile, his brow furrowing. “That person has not arrived yet; I do not know her whereabouts. The only thing I can tell you is that she is a very peculiar individual; you must not underestimate her.”
“Is that so…” The silver-white robed man turned his body and stepped out beyond the massive crystal shard. “Let’s go. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the scenery of flowers blooming.”
“Yes, former Fourth Seal Emissary, Lord Xuemu.”
“Remove the ‘former.’”
“…Yes.”
