Ye Chen frowned, spotting Hen Litian and the others retreating toward the stern of the ship, an area still untouched by radiation. He immediately took Bai Yijun’s small hand, and the two withdrew from the rune-space, emerging onto the open ground outside.
With a gesture, Ye Chen sealed the rune-space, his gaze flashing as he looked out at the electromagnetic storm zone. He turned to Bai Yijun beside him and said, "You stand back a little first."
Bai Yijun nodded slightly and moved to the side. Ye Chen planted his feet shoulder-width apart, slowly clenching his fists, focusing intently on the electromagnetic storm area, and then slowly closed his eyes.
Boiling blood began to rise within his body.
A deep breath.
The entire world suddenly hushed into stillness.
Immediately following, a sound like the very beginning of heaven and earth roared forth, shaking the surrounding ground so that it subtly sank in. In Bai Yijun’s distant sight, Ye Chen was enveloped in a strange field, the ground around him trembling lightly, causing fine gravel and sand to slowly lift and fly backward.
Ye Chen’s skeletal structure became thicker and taller, clusters of soft, white fur sprouted from his skin, his nails sharpened into claws, and his teeth elongated into fangs. His entire form shifted into the likeness of a small white wolf, standing erect on two legs—a true werewolf!
A terrifying aura, capable of shaking the soul, emanated from this little white wolf’s body. Even Bai Yijun felt her spirit tremble, every cell in her body screaming warnings. Her delicate face was filled with shock; she had never imagined Ye Chen’s fourth Gene Superman form would be this horrifying!
"Inhale!" Ye Chen puffed out his chest and drew a mighty breath.
The power surging within him unleashed like a tempest, gathering at his lips and teeth, forming a swirling vortex akin to a miniature hurricane that frantically drew in the surrounding electromagnetic waves.
Puchi puchi~
Flashes of electric light and thunder danced. Streaks of electromagnetic waves battered Ye Chen’s form, yet they felt like a spring breeze rustling willows, causing no damage whatsoever; instead, they brought an indescribable sense of comfort.
Ye Chen narrowed his eyes slightly. He was simultaneously shocked and delighted. Before manifesting this Little White Wolf Superman form, he had not dared to imagine it would be this terrifying!
The power coursing through his limbs surged like a raging sea. Ye Chen could feel the sheer strength of his body—a power incomparable to his original self, representing a ninety-thousand-fold amplification of normal human genes!
A full eighty-seven thousand times the gene amplification above his previous level!
Even with Ye Chen’s current experience and mindset, he found it unbelievably shocking. One had to remember that even the peak Divine Beasts on the Ancient Continent, the Sky Beast Supermen, only achieved a 3,600-fold amplification after reaching the Fifth Stage!
Yet, this Little White Wolf Superman had reached a staggering ninety thousand times!!
"What manner of creature is this wolf, to be so fearsome…" A look of dread flashed in Ye Chen’s eyes. As his thoughts raced, electromagnetic waves converged toward his mouth like whales frolicking in water, flowing down his throat and being swallowed as if he were drinking water.
These electromagnetic waves, which would normally strike terror into the hearts of observers, even made him feel a flicker of fear moments ago, but swallowing them brought a joyous feeling, like sipping fine wine. He couldn't help but offer a bitter smile internally.
Under his ravenous consumption, the surrounding electromagnetic waves streamed in like the mighty current of a river, flooding into him. Ye Chen felt every cell in his body absorbing these waves, like an endless void.
As he devoured the energy, he focused his senses and immediately discovered a startling fact: within every single cell, there resided an entire universe!
A miniature, primordial universe!
Seeing this, Ye Chen was utterly stunned into silence. He had heard rumors of a legendary tier beyond the peak Divine Emperor level—though its truth remained uncertain—but it was said that those who reached it harbored a universe within every cell of their body!
One must recall that at the Divine Emperor realm, one's domain transforms into a universe, the Origin Universe. But for a physical body to birth a universe within every cell—how terrifying was that capability!
It was no wonder that the chasm between a Divine Emperor and an expert at this rumored level felt as impassable as the distance between heaven and earth.
"I wonder if the Lords of the Ten Halls, or some of the mightiest Civilization Lords, have reached this echelon," Ye Chen murmured to himself. Just then, he noticed that as the swallowed electromagnetic waves were consumed by the cells, the universes within those cells became more perfect, more complete.
Ye Chen examined them closely and immediately spotted a staggering sight.
Within each cellular universe, there was a Nine-Star Diagram, outlined by nine lines representing different Laws. Beside this main formation were countless sub-formations.
By absorbing the electromagnetic waves, Ye Chen perceived that one of the nine Law lines slowly began to illuminate, suffused with a faint purple glow.
As this purple light flared, Ye Chen felt his internal power increase slightly. He gained an intuitive sense that if he could fill all nine lines of the diagram, his strength would surge to an unimaginable level!
Realizing this, Ye Chen immediately accelerated his consumption of the surrounding electromagnetic waves. Flashing across the area, he leaped toward the six headless electromagnetic beasts nearby. He tore open their bodies with his jaws, plunged his mouth inside, and inhaled deeply, causing a stream of pure electromagnetic energy to surge backward from within the beasts and down his throat, swallowed into his system.
Ye Chen sensed the purple line in his cells brighten further, and he immediately ramped up his consumption, methodically tearing into and devouring the remaining five electromagnetic beasts. After consuming all six, the purple line within the Nine-Star Diagram in his cells grew slightly longer, occupying roughly one ten-thousandth of the total line length. The remaining segments of that specific line were still a dull, ash-white.
Bai Yijun, watching from the side, was astonished. Before she could fully process what she was seeing, Ye Chen flashed beside her and quickly commanded, "Grasp my hand."
Bai Yijun immediately seized his white, clawed hand.
Whoosh!
Ye Chen’s figure vanished, streaking into the distance. He channeled all his might, causing every pore and strand of fur to frantically devour the surrounding electromagnetic waves. Since this energy posed no harm to Bai Yijun’s body, Ye Chen felt no restraint in his consumption.
Along their path, over a hundred kilometers of the electromagnetic storm zone were scoured clean, leaving not a trace of residual energy in the air. Ye Chen noted that devouring an entire hundred kilometers of the storm yielded less energy than consuming a single electromagnetic beast.
A thought sparked in Ye Chen’s mind, intending to ask Bai Yijun about the locations of the temples that had been destroyed, but he abruptly recalled a prior sensation. He immediately retraced his recent path, flying back to the area he had previously scouted. That faint, familiar feeling immediately emanated from a spot not far ahead. His heart stirred, and he rapidly darted toward it.
Swoosh!
The electromagnetic waves seemed to recognize a formidable enemy and automatically parted around Ye Chen. However, Ye Chen gave a slight shake of his white wolf fur and skin, drawing those waves toward him, swallowing them down, and digesting them through his system into his various cells.
Ye Chen moved with the speed of light, covering the distance of ten thousand kilometers in what felt like a single step. He glanced around: it was a patch of open ground, marred by a few depressions, scattered rubble, fragmented weaponry, and the remains of broken armor and skeletal fragments.
Ye Chen confirmed in his heart that the familiar sensation originated from these remnants. He did not retrieve them immediately; instead, he mentally calculated the remaining duration of the Little White Wolf Superman mode—approximately six seconds left. He quickly circled the wreckage, voraciously consuming every last bit of electromagnetic wave in the vicinity.
Only after the six seconds elapsed did Ye Chen stop, focusing on the Nine-Star Diagram within his cells. He observed that the purple light now illuminated about two ten-thousandths of the entire line. His own power and aura had strengthened somewhat as a result.
Ye Chen reverted from the Little White Wolf Superman form back to his original appearance. His legs buckled, and he nearly collapsed, but thankfully, Bai Yijun, who had been holding his arm, quickly steadied him. He felt utterly drained, gasping heavily, as if recovering from a severe illness, unable to muster the strength to even twitch a finger.
Ye Chen breathed deeply and slowly sat down. "I need to rest a moment."
Bai Yijun nodded gently, saying nothing, and pulled out a silk scarf to wipe the sweat from his brow.
After a short while, Ye Chen felt some strength returning to his body. He opened the rune-space, retrieved several vials of stamina recovery serum, and drank them down. Only after several bottles did he feel his strength marginally return. He immediately summoned Hen Litian, asking, "Do you have any stamina recovery serum on you?"
Hen Litian responded with deep deference, "Master, your servant possesses a few bottles." He then opened his spatial pouch and produced several vials of his treasured stamina recovery serum. This medicine was exceedingly rare; after prolonged combat, being left physically weak meant that even possessing endless Divine Stones and energy reserves would be useless.
Ye Chen casually took them and ingested them all at once. He immediately felt every cell in his body rejoice, as if shackles had been broken and released. He stood up, shaking off his lethargy, dismissed Hen Litian back into the rune-space, and then led Bai Yijun back to the earlier location.
Ye Chen swept his gaze over the ground: clear signs of combat were evident, including impact craters from a crashed spaceship and countless fragments of alloy. Nearby lay a broken sword and a suit of battle armor sprawled on the ground. Judging by its shape, it should have contained a person, but now it was simply empty, the armor deflated.
Ye Chen knew instantly: some powerful expert must have strayed here, suffered a crushing defeat in battle against the electromagnetic beasts, and had their body corroded by the waves. The armor and weapons remained because they hadn't fully decayed, suggesting the owner had died perhaps less than a million years ago.
"Look over there," Bai Yijun suddenly pointed with a slender finger. Piled nearby was a heap of Dao Stones, more armor, several ancient-looking starships, a large stack of books, and some pharmaceutical items.
Ye Chen glanced over and nodded. "Certainly, this fallen expert’s spatial pouch must have completely disintegrated under the corrosive effects of the electromagnetic waves, scattering its contents."
"Yes," Bai Yijun agreed, her beautiful eyes shimmering slightly. After all, the accumulation before them represented the entire wealth of a Divine Emperor-level expert!
