Their primary objective in coming here was, undeniably, the Ancient God's Cave Mansion. Even knowing this, the mere mention of that legendary name sent a rush of heat through them, their eyes blazing with fierce light.
"Are there any areas recently showing anomalies suggesting the emergence of a key?" Fuxi mused aloud.
Nuwa's eyes swept around, her voice soft as she replied, "There are signs of immense treasure energy permeating the area around Jiagu Peak to the southeast, Longshou Peak to the northwest, and Luoye Peak to the north. The most potent treasure energy emanates from Luoye Peak in the north!"
Fuxi pondered for a moment. "Do the other factions know about this news?"
"The news regarding Longshou Peak and Jiagu Peak has not yet reached other civilizations, but the emergence of a treasure at Luoye Peak is already circulating among the major powers. Many groups are currently rushing there. Some speculate that even if it isn't a fragment of the Ancient God's Cave Mansion key, something extraordinary is about to surface!" Nuwa stated, her expression grave.
Fuxi's brow furrowed slightly, and after a brief moment of thought, he declared, "Since that is the case, there is no time to waste. Let us depart immediately!"
"Mmm!" Nuwa readily agreed. She looked up at everyone present. "This time, Shun and Fan Gu, you two will lead eight of the Pan Gods to Longshou Peak! Yao and Shao Hao, you two will lead the other eight Pan Gods to Jiagu Peak!"
Her gaze swept over Ye Chen, and she softly added, "You will accompany the three of us to Luoye Peak. If you prefer not to, you can switch places with Shao Hao."
Ye Chen didn't hesitate. "I am willing."
Although Luoye Peak would draw many other factions, leading to potential friction and conflict, remaining with the Three Sovereigns offered significantly greater safety. Moreover, if a truly great treasure appeared, his own strength gave him a fighting chance to secure it.
"Does anyone else have any objections?" Nuwa surveyed the assembly, a touch of resolute steel softening her cool features.
The crowd remained silent.
"Move out!" Nuwa rose, her body flashing once, instantly relocating her to the plaza outside the grand hall. Everyone followed suit with astonishing speed. Ye Chen glanced at Bai Yijun, took her small hand, and in a shimmer of movement, appeared on the plaza as if he had been standing there all along.
Shao Hao clapped Ye Chen on the shoulder, his tone serious. "You must be extremely careful!"
Sensing the genuine concern in his words, warmth spread through Ye Chen's heart. He smiled back. "You too!"
Shao Hao chuckled lightly, turned, and, along with Yao, selected eight Pan Gods. Then, with a flip of his hand, he produced a massive, ancient warship. He ushered the eight Pan Gods aboard, engaged the engines, and with a whoosh, vanished.
Nearby, Emperor Shun and Fan Gu, leading the remaining eight Pan Gods, flickered out of sight immediately—decisive and leaving no lingering traces.
Only the Three Sovereigns and the pair of Ye Chen remained. Nuwa watched the direction where Shao Hao's group had departed, a slight worry etched on her beautiful face. Finally, she let out a faint sigh, lowered her head, and waved her hand. "Let's depart as well. They are following the route on the electronic map; there shouldn't be any issues."
As she spoke, she turned and walked toward a large structure not far away.
Fuxi and the Yellow Emperor both sighed softly, especially the latter. He stared in the direction Shao Hao had gone, his brow deeply furrowed. As a father, his anxiety far outweighed that of the others. While Shao Hao could stride confidently through the Ancient World—as long as he didn't provoke certain ancient monsters, others tended to show respect to the Spiritual Civilization—this was the Ancient Realm Peak!
The very epicenter of the most powerful treasures!
For one supreme relic, even two superpowers might clash violently, let alone a smaller civilization. Furthermore, even if they encountered no rivals, the inherent dangers of the Ancient Realm Peak itself—a misstep into a spatial rift or being caught in a powerful electromagnetic storm—could result in utter annihilation!
But still... in the face of the survival of their race, what could he do?
Carrying his worry, he slowly withdrew his gaze and followed Nuwa toward the hall behind them, his imposing figure, supported by an unyielding core of steel, standing as steadfast as a massive mountain!
Ye Chen gazed up at the sky, lost in thought for a moment, before lowering his head, taking the hand of the beautiful woman beside him, and walking toward the nearby hall.
This hall served as the central control center of the fortress. At the entrance, several mechanical guards added an air of solemn authority. Inside this large structure was a spacious, brightly lit chamber, its walls covered in virtual light screens displaying data from various systems and layouts of the entire fortress.
At the very center sat a metallic chair occupied by a man and a woman. The girl was fair and refined, bearing a touch of rustic simplicity, as if she were a pure maiden untouched by the dust of the world, her cheeks graced with a smile that brought comfort. Beside her was a handsome man with fair skin and long fingers, possessing the air of an elegant nobleman.
The pair diligently worked before the virtual screens, occasionally looking up to meet each other's eyes with shared, warm smiles.
"Adam," Nuwa approached. "When we reach Luoye Peak, activate the main engines of the Heavenly Emperor Citadel to S-Class combat pre-readiness. Also, ensure the energy reserves remain at full capacity at all times."
"Understood," the young man replied, looking up and flashing a row of pearly white teeth in a smile.
Ye Chen followed Fuxi and the Yellow Emperor to a nearby seating area. An automated service robot floated over. Ye Chen requested two glasses of clear water. The robot's chest opened like a heating unit; with a flash of light, two cups of water materialized out of thin air. This robot utilized the principle of spatial phasing—a technology achieved when a civilization reaches a certain level of mastery over energy manipulation, allowing for the transmutation of matter.
Ye Chen beckoned, and the two cups drifted toward him. He handed one to Bai Yijun. This water was far superior to ordinary spring water rich in minerals and iron found on Earth; a single sip could temper the bones. It was only comparable to the Earth Spirit Spring they had once occupied on Earth.
Ye Chen took a small drink and turned his attention to the layout of the hall. On the central virtual screen, he could see the entire Heavenly Emperor Citadel slowly powering up. Data flickered rapidly across the screens, and the exterior scenery rushed past in a blur. Although the data readout below indicated speeds around 200 WKM/S, the outside world was still discernible.
The Heavenly Emperor Citadel lifted slowly from the main avenue of the Ancient Realm Peak, proceeding directly inward. After traversing seven or eight peaks, each spanning six to seven light-years in diameter, they approached a mountain composed entirely of purple stone. The vessel navigated through the aerial passage beneath it, rushing past.
Ye Chen was inwardly staggered. He wondered how the Ancient Realm Peak had formed; for each mountain to reach a diameter of six or seven light-years suggested an unimaginable scale for their total length!
Considering the Milky Way galaxy itself was only about 10 light-years across, the density and concentration of the stone in mountains of this magnitude were terrifyingly immense!
After traveling for a short while, they bypassed several electromagnetic zones, asteroid storm clusters, and a circular solar magnetic band, finally entering a secluded air corridor. Ye Chen noticed they were now quite distant from the main Ancient Realm Peak avenue, and the Citadel's steady speed indicated an intimate familiarity with the surrounding terrain!
"To possess such an extensive map—I wonder how much blood and sweat our ancestors spilled to chart this..." Ye Chen sighed internally. These things that the later generations barely paid attention to were paths carved out step-by-step with the blood and lives of their forefathers!
"Thirty light-years remaining to Luoye Peak," the beautiful girl reported, looking up at Nuwa.
Nuwa sat in the command seat, observing the vista on the virtual screen, her elegant brow slightly knitted. She simply nodded slowly, saying nothing.
Just then—swoosh!
A warship, resembling a roaring leviathan, suddenly burst from behind a nearby mountain peak and shot toward them. The vessel's exterior design was aerodynamic, shaped like a bullet, incorporating structural principles derived from the dynamics of the crossbow bolts invented during Qin Shi Huang's era. This warship was acutely pointed, like a drill bit, with myriad gears rotating on its exterior while the interior space remained stable, burrowing through the air at a speed terrifyingly fast as it approached the Heavenly Emperor Citadel.
"The Demon Realm Civilization!" A cold glint flashed in Nuwa's eyes as her slender hand subtly clenched.
The warship spotted Ye Chen and the others and immediately closed the distance. The young man named Adam looked up. "Sister Wa, their vessel is requesting a communication link."
"Connect it," Nuwa commanded coldly.
Shing!
The largest virtual screen lit up, displaying a man whose skin was dark and hardened like keratin, with a pair of demonic horns jutting from his forehead. Two wings of black, fleshy membrane sprouted from his back, and sharp canines protruded from his mouth. His expression was severe, yet his lips curled into a mocking smirk as he brazenly scanned Nuwa's graceful figure, sneering, "I didn't expect you wouldn't have learned your lesson after our last encounter. You still dare compete for treasures here?"
Nuwa's eyes conveyed utter disdain. "The lesson you should have learned is yours. This time, I will show no mercy!"
"Oh?" The stern-faced man cackled. "Such spirit! I like that. Keep resisting; once I claim the treasure and crush your Spiritual Civilization underfoot, you can come serve as my concubine!"
Nuwa's expression was icy, fixing him with a cold stare for a moment before her face suddenly calmed. She said softly, "You will die."
"Oh?" The stern man feigned surprise, then his lips widened into a profound smile. "We shall see when we reach Luoye Peak. You won't have a chance to escape this time, concubine."
