But soon, Lightning stopped whining.
A white wrench flew past its head and slammed heavily into a broken-down car behind it. Wang Laowu turned around instantly, his face muscles twitching uncontrollably.
This was worse than last time—a real fight had erupted with blood being drawn.
Zhang Yang's expression darkened entirely now. He could tolerate Shifeng wanting to crush him without trace, but the man dared to lay hands on Lightning? The fire burning in Zhang Yang’s chest since earlier exploded fully at this moment.
He held Lightning close in one arm while shoving Wu Ying into his canvas bag with the other hand. One palm protectively shielded them as his free fist lifted threateningly.
The six men flanking Shifeng had already rushed toward him.
Long Cheng behind Zhang Yang moved instantly, no longer bothering to show courtesy since they'd been attacked first. That despicable Shifeng not only dared touch Zhang's pets but now threatened Lightning too. Everyone loved Lightning dearly—he was the mascot who bonded with everyone in the shop. Provoking Lightning meant certain death.
Long Cheng had taken just one step before freezing, stunned by what lay ahead.
Zhang Yang had already engaged all six men simultaneously. With only one hand, he'd already felled three of them. The speed alone left even Long Cheng speechless.
"Boom!" Another figure flew through the air like a missile. This poor soul crashed directly into an old car parked nearby and collapsed in excruciating pain that immediately made him howl uncontrollably.
Within moments, only two figures remained standing—Shifeng with his face bloodied by his own hand, and one of his men staring blankly at the seemingly frail young man who'd defeated all their comrades so effortlessly.
Sweat beaded on this last man's forehead as he noted Zhang Yang's stance and his unconscious companions sprawled on the ground. He hadn't moved yet when Zhang Yang suddenly lunged forward, grabbing him by the collar like a chicken destined for slaughter.
"No! Please don’t hit me!" The man trembled violently, arms flailing helplessly. This spoiled rich boy had never experienced such terrifying scenes and was now genuinely terrified.
Zhang Yang ignored his pleas completely, hurling the man even farther than before—directly onto the concrete floor beneath the repair shop's canopy.
The impact left him gasping for breath, curled into a fetal position. This particular assailant had thrown that wrench at them earlier. Had Zhang not reacted swiftly, Lightning might have been injured or he himself struck by it.
Six men fell in mere seconds—Long Cheng gaped openly along with all the other mechanics and onlookers present.
Wang Laowu's jaw dropped as everyone stared at Zhang Yang.
From appearances alone, there was nothing remarkable about this slender youth. None would have guessed such immense strength lay hidden within that fragile frame.
The last thrown man wasn't particularly lightweight—he weighed around 150 pounds easily. And yet Zhang had lifted him effortlessly with one hand and hurled him over ten meters across solid ground.
Such feats were beyond even Long Cheng's capabilities at the moment. While he could certainly handle those six aristocratic good-for-nothings, doing it so swiftly while managing to throw someone that distance required more than just physical strength—it demanded perfect balance between power and precision.
"Stay back!" Shifeng suddenly screamed fearfully, one hand clutching his face while the other pointed at Zhang Yang in desperation.
"Screee!" Lightning let out a series of angry cries toward him—the monkey clearly knew this was the man who had ordered its murder.
"Squeak!" Wu Ying also peeked from inside its canvas bag and shrieked furiously, its fastest reaction having just saved it from Shifeng's boot. This tiny creature was now filled with righteous fury.
Shifeng’s pleading words were instantly drowned out as Zhang Yang approached him directly. He wasn't the type to ignore threats directed toward his belongings—this man had deserved every injury he received from Lightning, and even if Lightning hadn't acted, Zhang would have ensured proper punishment for attempting to kill Wu Ying.
Wu Ying was a treasure-seeking mouse, an extremely rare auspicious creature in the world. Zhang had relied on it to discover more heavenly treasures. If anything happened to Wu Ying, Zhang likely would have personally killed this man.
"No! Please no!" Shifeng trembled violently as one hand lifted him off the ground. The sight of his companions' battered forms made his bladder involuntarily release a hot stream that immediately caught Zhang Yang's attention through a sudden frown.
The man had actually wet himself from sheer terror.
"Zhang Yang, enough!" Long Cheng finally intervened, rushing over to stop this madness. While those other men were just wastrels worth nothing more than what they received, Shifeng posed an entirely different problem. The influential background behind him made even Long Cheng cautious—otherwise he would have eliminated the arrogant man long ago.
Zhang Yang smirked and replied smoothly, "Don't worry Brother Long. I know my limits."
He could feel his friend's concern but had always followed his own principles when someone crossed into his territory. The scammer who tried to deceive Mi Xue, or Yu Yong back in her hometown—each received their just desserts. Shifeng might not be dead-worthy, but Zhang certainly wouldn't let him escape punishment easily.
"That's good," Long Cheng nodded, unconcerned about Shifeng himself but wary of potential consequences for Zhang.
Some people could not tolerate humiliation without causing trouble. While he himself could probably handle the fallout, Zhang was just a student—if this escalated further, it would only bring unnecessary complications. He simply hadn't known about Zhang's family background yet.
Only Su Zhan Tao knew Zhang's true circumstances.
A sudden idea flickered through Zhang's mind—the venomous needle crafted from black iron spider exoskeleton had finally been completed but remained untested. This poison could induce hallucinations when combined with his hypnosis techniques, which were now much more efficient than before given his improved internal energy reserves.
Shifeng would serve as the perfect test subject today to evaluate this combination's effectiveness firsthand.
Without hesitation, Zhang discreetly extracted a needle and jabbed it into Shifeng's body.
The man was still in full terror mode, completely unaware of the subtle pain inflicted by the tiny prick. All he could think about was pleading for mercy from Zhang Yang. He had never imagined this apparent soft target would be so terrifying—more formidable than even Long Cheng himself. If only he'd known Zhang's true capabilities earlier, he never would have dared to provoke him in the first place.
Unfortunately for Shifeng, regret came too late now.
Still, he did contemplate revenge—but not until his life was secure again. After all, he was nothing but a petty villain at heart.
"Thump!" Zhang dropped him unceremoniously, allowing Shifeng to slump to the ground in total exhaustion with half of his lower body soaked from spilled urine. The sight was utterly pathetic—this incident would surely leave an indelible mark on his memory for years to come.
Then something strange happened.
Shifeng's eyes suddenly widened as he stared at Zhang Yang, who had transformed into a three-headed beast with monstrous jaws gaping wide like it intended to devour him whole. The sudden change sent Shifeng screaming in terror.
Zhang knew immediately the venom was working and quickly activated his hypnosis techniques.
Minutes later, Shifeng's expression returned to calm yet vacant stillness as he ceased speaking entirely.
"Fine," Zhang said softly while maintaining a threatening stance. "You want mercy? Answer my questions truthfully or I'll snap your legs in half."
He needed to feign intimidation while using hypnosis secretly to extract information—later, everyone would simply assume Shifeng confessed out of fear naturally.
"I will! Everything!" Shifeng nodded eagerly.
"Good," Zhang continued. "What's the most disgusting thing you've ever done?"
"The...um..." Shifeng hesitated before finally recalling, "——you don't know her figure. I installed cameras in the bathroom and watched often. If she weren't my sister, I would have taken advantage of her!"
"!!"
The surrounding mechanics all gasped in horror as they instantly formed new opinions about this despicable character.
Zhang's brow furrowed deeper, "Just thoughts? What actual misconduct did you commit?"
"I once got her very drunk, stripped her naked and... well..." Shifeng's face suddenly took on a perverted expression. "I kissed her mouth. It was incredibly exciting—better than any other women I've ever had! But since it was my sister..."
The men watching all widened their eyes in disbelief at this shocking confession.
