"This, this..."
Yan Mo and the other man's eyeballs nearly popped out, their hearts filled with absolute dread. They had roamed for countless eons, seeing every bizarre thing imaginable. They had indeed encountered creatures that consumed energy—some races in the vast cosmos subsisted purely on devouring cosmic rays to amplify their strength.
However, not a single one of those creatures could compare to the giant rabbit-beast before them. They had to consider: their starship was a Dao Artifact-level vessel, surpassing even Divine Artifacts, imbued with immeasurable technological complexity. Every shell fired contained thousands, even hundreds of thousands, of distinct energy attributes interwoven. Under such beams forged from such numerous energy elements, even energy-consuming races would flee rather than dare to touch them.
Yet, this giant rabbit-beast accepted everything offered, treating the attacks as mere nutrient supplements, swallowing them whole. Moreover, upon contact, the energy shells' outer stabilizing membrane—which preserved the orderly structure of the internal energies—vanished. Normally, once this membrane dissolved, the jumbled energies within would detonate automatically, unleashing immense destructive power.
But now, even though the energy membrane was gone, the numerous energies inside remained perfectly stable, showing no sign of explosion.
As the two watched in horror, the now vastly enlarged rabbit-beast swept a menacing glare from its eyes, lowered its head, focused on the bronze starship gripped in its claw, let out a savage roar, and suddenly exerted force.
This Y-class metal, surpassing S4 in hardness, was unimaginably tough, yet under the pressure, it began to tremble faintly.
It seemed incapable of withstanding the strain; some railings snapped, the outer forced metallic glass shattered, and the entire vessel gradually warped under the grip of that massive claw.
Horrified, Yan Mo and the other man hesitated no longer. They swiftly leaped out of the starship. Amidst the chaotic storm of spacetime, the surrounding spacetime wind-blades dared not approach them. They stared fearlessly at the giant rabbit-beast, raising their hands.
Rumble~
In the turbulent spatial flow before them, a pitch-black rift slowly parted, like a ripple on water. From within, an ancient, malevolent weapon, shrouded in surging baleful aura, slowly surfaced into the expanse of heaven and earth!
These were two weapons: one, a crimson long spear, and the other, a blood-black Asura war blade!
The moment these two weapons appeared, Yan Mo and the handsome young man grasped them. Their expressions turned grim, and secret runes slowly surfaced on their foreheads. Immediately, the raging spacetime wind-blades surrounding them seemed to slow their movement. Behind each of the two figures, a vortex materialized—one crimson, the other jet-black.
These two vortices instantly magnified millions of times, engulfing the sky, enveloping the giant rabbit-beast entirely, so that as far as the eye could see, the entire world was nothing but black and red.
In this black and red domain, the heavens were strewn with brilliant stars, resembling a boundless firmament. They stood upon a vast expanse of stars, with no planets in sight.
"One thought gives life, one thought brings death!" Yan Mo stated coldly, gripping the crimson long spear. This rare, ominous weapon exuded surging baleful energy. A single point of light ignited at the tip of the spearhead. Then, within this black and red cosmos, countless black and white lines appeared from thin air, crisscrossing the vast starry expanse like the lines on a Go board.
"Wind, Fire, Thunder, Lightning!"
"Black Hole!"
"Meteorites!"
Yan Mo, holding the spear, roared toward the heavens.
Rumble~
Howling sounds echoed throughout the world. Thunder and lightning materialized from nowhere, birthing from the void itself, hurtling down toward the giant rabbit-beast. Additionally, violent, raging winds—strong enough to shatter ordinary stars—whipped toward it.
The giant rabbit-beast, still clutching the bronze starship as if it were a mere toy, stood majestically in the starry expanse. Facing the torrent of terrifying energies surging toward it, it suddenly roared and brought its other claw down to meet the attack.
Splat!
The starry sky was ripped apart like a long bolt of cloth, revealing the colorful, variegated storm of spacetime outside the tear.
The incoming torrent of wind, fire, thunder, and lightning was shredded under that earth-shattering claw, vanishing without a trace. Just then, a deafening roar erupted from a distance, a storm of meteorites hurtling toward them. Many of the larger stones screamed piercingly, their sound audible even in the vacuum of this space.
The giant rabbit-beast fixed its gaze upon the oncoming meteor storm, its eyes glowing with a demonic red light, seemingly enraged. It reared back and roared heavenward, suddenly raising its sharp claws. A tide of blood-colored energy streamed from its fur, swirling around its body, tinting its normally grey-white, sharp fur with shades of crimson.
Most strangely, this bloody aura coiled around it, faintly tracing a cryptic, mysterious pattern.
"Roar!!" The giant rabbit-beast let out a piercing bellow, abruptly raising its claw to meet the meteor storm—an impact powerful enough to destroy an ordinary planet.
Thwack!
The sharp claw tore through, and the entire void was rent apart. The incoming meteor storm instantly exploded. Under that single strike, the debris recoiled backward, and the largest leading meteorites were pulverized into dust, completely annihilated.
Even before the meteor storm was fully neutralized, a ghostly black hole suddenly began to form behind the giant rabbit-beast, rapidly expanding thousands of times until it became a miniature singularity.
An intense gravitational pull instantly enveloped the creature, like countless invisible ropes tugging its body toward the black hole. This tearing force began to separate the sharp hairs on its exterior; some roots that were not firmly anchored were ripped out and sucked deep into the darkness.
The giant rabbit-beast seemed to sense an existential threat. The red light in its eyes intensified violently. It stared fixedly at Yan Mo and the other figure, then suddenly took a resolute step, causing the void to tremble slightly. It stood like an unparalleled ferocious beast, roaring toward the heavens!
"ROAR!!!"
The roar echoed throughout the entire starry expanse, shaking the very fabric of this pocket universe until cracks spontaneously appeared, as if it were about to be torn asunder.
Yan Mo and the handsome youth’s expressions shifted, showing untold shock. They hadn't expected this monster's ferocity to reach such a degree—a mere roar could destabilize the universe they had jointly conjured as two Divine Emperors.
Before they could react, the giant rabbit-beast's roar grew increasingly powerful and high-pitched. The blood-red crescent moon mark on its forehead, which had been faint, now solidified completely, as if carved into its brow with a knife, clear and distinct, blazing with terrifying scarlet light.
This light shot upward, drawing the blood-colored formations inscribed across its skin. Suddenly, they burst through the heavens, transforming into a pillar of blood-red light that pierced the starry expanse, punching through the outer layer of the spacetime storm. It didn't stop there; it even pierced through the external layers of the spacetime storm, directly connecting to the Ancient World!
This sudden change made Yan Mo and the other man’s hearts leap. They stared blankly at the opening pierced by the blood-red column, faintly discerning the reflected architecture of buildings from the Ancient World, much like a mirage over the sea on Earth.
While they were stunned, the giant rabbit-beast, which had suddenly erupted with power, underwent a rapid skeletal transformation. Its grey-white fur instantly turned the color of fresh blood, sharp and needle-like. The red light in its eyes flared out for several yards, making it resemble a peerless beast loosed from its cage, roaring at the sky.
The blood-red pillar connecting to the Ancient World slowly retracted, and the channel that had been opened gradually healed.
Yan Mo and the handsome man withdrew their gaze, looking down to see that the giant rabbit-beast before them had completely changed its appearance. It was wreathed in terrifying baleful energy, fangs grotesque, claws razor-sharp, and several bulging pectoral muscles contorting its chest—it was hideous and terrifying!
The instant they laid eyes on the transformed creature, it crouched slightly and then exploded forward with lightning speed, surpassing the speed of light, arriving before Yan Mo and the other man instantly. Even with their retinal reaction speeds, they couldn't track the movement, filling them with dread.
Reaching them, the giant rabbit-beast brought its claws down without hesitation, as if the entire sky were collapsing, casting a shadow of death over the two Divine Emperors.
However, Yan Mo and the handsome man were formidable Divine Emperors with vast combat experience. They reacted instantly, teleporting thousands of times in quick succession, observing the giant rabbit-beast from a distance while deploying their ultimate techniques.
"Cosmic Strangling!"
"Heaven and Earth Seal!"
"Freeze!" The entire vast starry sky suddenly twisted, like crumpled transparent paper, enveloping the giant rabbit-beast and beginning to tear at its body.
The rabbit-beast’s movements momentarily stalled. It stared fixedly at the two figures, then suddenly stopped. Slowly, it lowered its head, dropping onto all fours, before raising its head again.
Slowly, it opened its massive maw wide.
The cavernous, blood-red mouth was aimed directly at Yan Mo and the other man.
It took a deep breath.
The rabbit-beast’s chest suddenly swelled outward. The surrounding starry sky, like a vast river, transformed into countless twisted, folded spaces that contracted toward its mouth. Like a whale feeding, they continuously fell into the gaping maw and vanished without a trace.
Yan Mo and the other man were horrified, sensing their internal power rapidly draining away. They cried out involuntarily, "It is devouring the universe!"
Their shock was immense. Based on their experience, they had never heard of such a vicious and domineering life form capable of consuming a universe created by others. If this creature were even slightly stronger, could it not swallow the entire Ancient World into its belly?
The thought sent shivers down their spines. They roared fiercely, brandishing their crimson long spear and Asura war blade, charging toward the giant rabbit-beast.
As they moved, the sound of wind and thunder swelled mightily across heaven and earth. A distance of ten thousand miles seemed as if they were only a single step apart, reaching the edge of the world in an instant, arriving before the giant rabbit-beast. They attacked from the left and the right flanks, striking downward.
Thrust!
Yan Mo held the crimson long spear, piercing the starscape. The spearhead unleashed a crimson angry dragon interwoven with countless secret runes of law, baring its fangs and claws as it lunged at the giant rabbit-beast.
