"Hello, I'm from the Second Rank Genius Hall." Ye Chen glanced at the woman, his expression unchanging, as if looking at a piece of wood. He walked past her, took out his Genius Medal, and placed it on her desk.
The voluptuous girl was leaning back in her chair, eyes closed, completely absorbed, nodding her head to the music playing through her headphones. Ye Chen frowned slightly, glanced at the woman, his eyes flashing, and walked over to the nearby sofa. He sat down, closed his eyes, leaned back against the cushions, and began contemplating the profound mysteries of the Seven Star Diagram in his mind.
Time flowed by...
Roughly several hours later, Ye Chen suddenly heard a voice calling him from in front of him. He couldn't help but frown slightly as he opened his eyes. In his sight was a delicate, oval face, tinged with a hint of alluring charm, scrutinizing him.
"Your name is Ye Chen, correct?" The owner of the oval face was the enchantingly beautiful woman. She had pulled her headphones down to rest around her neck and now stood up, looking down at Ye Chen. "Your paperwork is complete. This is the virtual world chip for the First Rank Genius Hall, and this is your First Rank Genius Hall medal. All your data is stored within; be sure not to lose it." As she spoke, she handed him a crystal chip and a purple medal, upon which was intricately carved a fierce, rearing purple dragon.
Ye Chen accepted them casually, stood up, and asked, "Where do I submit the trial mission?"
The alluring woman casually pointed. "Out the door, turn left, and walk straight."
Ye Chen nodded and left immediately.
Simultaneously, a new name was added to the roster of the First Rank Genius Hall, listed at the very bottom. All major factions that monitored the Genius Hall received this news. They immediately began searching for all available information on Ye Chen, convened meetings, and dispatched envoys to issue invitations and decrees...
For these powers, the emergence and recruitment of a new genius was considered a glorious event.
Ye Chen, however, had arrived at the Mission Hall. Although he had claimed his previous mission from the Second Rank Genius Hall, submissions were also accepted here at the First Rank Hall.
This Mission Hall was soaringly tall, possessing an imposing grandeur and magnificent splendor. Its jade tiles flew like eaves, its pillars resembled towering peaks, and the stone steps were crystal clear, appearing like flowing quicksilver.
Outside the hall, in a secluded corner, Ye Chen activated his Rune Space and entered it. After sealing the Rune Space, he flipped his hand and brought out the Demon God Palace. His body instantly shrunk, and he darted into the vast interior of the palace.
Back in the central castle of the Demon God Palace, within the core system control room, Ye Chen looked toward Zi Xiang, who was seated on the stone steps by the entrance, resting her chin on her hands, appearing exceedingly bored. He walked over to her.
When Zi Xiang spotted Ye Chen, her eyes lit up. She immediately scrambled up cheerfully and trotted over to him, her watery eyes twinkling as she giggled, "Master, you're back."
Ye Chen nodded slightly, gently ruffling the top of her little head. "Go retrieve the Dark Charms from those restrained dark creatures; I have use for them."
"Oh!" Zi Xiang obediently nodded. "I understand, Master. Wait just a moment, I'll go fetch them right now."
Ye Chen gave a slight nod.
Zi Xiang narrowed her eyes and grinned, revealing a row of white teeth. Then, she bounced away, dashing into the distance, vanishing in just a few blurs of movement.
Ye Chen did not linger. He entered the training chamber alone and set the temporal flow system to its maximum rate. Inside, he began his cultivation. About two days later, he heard Zi Xiang's voice calling from outside.
Ye Chen instantly ceased his training, his figure shifting as he exited the chamber. Two days inside translated to mere tens of minutes outside.
Zi Xiang stood charmingly by the training chamber door. Seeing Ye Chen emerge, she chuckled sweetly. She brought both hands from behind her back, revealing a large pile of blood-red jade stones heaped in her small, pale hands—two little snow-white lotus roots, as they seemed. Mixed within these blood-red jades were some purple-blood colored stones, emanating an even more potent aura of killing intent.
Ye Chen’s eyes immediately brightened. He quickly asked, "Have you counted all of these? How many are there in total?"
Zi Xiang giggled slyly. "I’ve counted them all. I interrogated them myself. These are the totem tokens of the Dark Tribes' chiefs. There are 62,382 tokens from Level Nine tribes, 38,209 from Level Eight tribes, 10,989 from Level Seven tribes, 2,019 from Level Six tribes, 147 from Level Five tribes, and 18 from Level Four tribes! As for the lower Level Three tribes, there were none."
Hearing Zi Xiang state this solemnly and slowly, Ye Chen felt his entire brain go blank, his breathing momentarily seizing. His heart hammered against his ribs, feeling as though it might burst from the sheer pressure of blood rushing through him.
Heavens!
Ye Chen felt as though he had been struck by a massive treasure vault. He felt lightheaded, his body almost floating. Although he had prepared mentally—given the Demon God Palace spanned millions of kilometers and possessed 10,008 entrances, leading to at least tens of thousands of tokens if every entrance had been utilized—he had never expected such an overwhelming quantity of tokens!
It was staggeringly abundant!
Ye Chen remained lost in adoration for a moment before quickly regaining his composure. Calculating based on the mission exchange rate: to complete the mission required destroying a Level Nine tribe and obtaining the chief's totem token, along with destroying the tribe's ten Dark Totem Pillars, earning a full 100% completion reward of 50 Divine Points!
If calculated based on the extra rewards outside the primary mission structure, one Level Nine Dark Tribe Chief's Token plus ten Dark Totem Pillars would equate to completion, redeemable for 25 Divine Points!
Within the mission ratio, calculating based on completion percentage: one Dark Tribe Chief's Token accounted for 50% of the mission completion; one Dark Totem Pillar accounted for 5% completion, meaning ten pillars equaled 50%!
Ye Chen frowned in deep thought, calculating the exchange based on the Dark Chief Totem Tokens...
One Level Nine Dark Tribe Token: 100% completion yields 25 Divine Points; half completion yields 12.5 Divine Points! One Level Eight Dark Tribe Token: Half completion yields 25 Divine Points! One Level Seven Dark Tribe Token: Half completion yields 50 Divine Points!
"In total, that is..." Ye Chen's eyes suddenly widened: "2,341,251 Divine Points!!!"
Over two million Divine Points!!
Ye Chen felt a dizzying rush in his mind. With this many Divine Points, he could observe the Heavenly Dao Stele over 200,000 times! Even if he only gained a tiny bit of insight each time, after 200,000 instances of comprehension, even stone could grasp the universal Heavenly Principle.
Ye Chen withdrew his thoughts, his gaze falling upon Zi Xiang’s small hands, and asked, "Where are all the tokens?"
Zi Xiang giggled, reached into her bosom to fumble around for a moment, and pulled out a ring. "They are all stored inside here."
Ye Chen’s palm snapped out, taking the ring. His mental wave attached to it, and with a slight communication, it permeated the space. Indeed, inside the ring's spatial folding bag, there was a huge pile of tokens amassed, emitting a dense, ferocious aura.
A sharp glint flashed in Ye Chen's eyes. He reached out and seized the few blood-jade chief tokens from Zi Xiang’s hands, gathering them into the spatial folding bag as well.
"Are you leaving?" Zi Xiang blinked her watery eyes at Ye Chen, looking utterly heartbreakingly sweet.
Ye Chen experienced a momentary daze, as if looking at a sister who had accompanied him, possessing the same pure, flawless gaze. His heart softened, a gentle smile curving his lips. He patted the top of Zi Xiang's little head. "I will return soon. Keep those dark creatures restrained for now; you will have need of them later."
Zi Xiang nodded obediently, reluctant to see him go. "Then come back early."
Ye Chen nodded slightly, then suddenly remembered something and frowned. "Is that human girl still imprisoned?"
Zi Xiang nodded. "I locked her in the deepest dungeon. But this girl is quite troublesome; she curses all day long in there. I haven't paid much attention to her."
Ye Chen nodded slightly, his eyes flickering. He waved goodbye to Zi Xiang, his figure soaring into the air, sweeping out of the Demon God Palace and returning to the rune spacecraft.
He retracted the palm-sized Demon God Palace and placed it inside the inner lining of his Pinnacle God-Tier Set, which contained a micro-space capable of carrying some items.
Little White Rabbit had been in a deep sleep, snoring softly inside. When Ye Chen placed the Demon God Palace in, the previously slumbering rabbit seemed to sense something. It suddenly opened its eyes, its dark, bright pupils flickering, looking curiously at Ye Chen, then turning to the Demon God Palace. A faint glow reflected in its eyes.
It gazed at the Demon God Palace, seemingly lost in thought.
Ye Chen rarely saw the Little White Rabbit in such a state, which piqued his interest. He watched closely for a moment. Then, he saw the rabbit slowly extend a small, fluffy paw and tentatively touch the Demon God Palace. It recoiled immediately. After testing it several times with no reaction, it grew bolder. It placed its paw firmly on the Demon God Palace, tilted its small head, glancing left and right, its dark eyes blinking.
Just as Ye Chen thought it was about to do something significant, the Little White Rabbit suddenly abandoned its investigation. It let out a yawn, drooped its ears, and a wave of drowsiness overcame its dark eyes. It then turned the Demon God Palace upside down, setting the flat base facing upward, and promptly flopped over. Leaning against the Demon God Palace, the little rabbit head rested on its base—treating the Demon God Palace, a transcendent artifact, as a mere pillow.
Ye Chen stared blankly for a long time, then let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head helplessly. He withdrew his gaze, left the Rune Space, and returned to the plaza, quickly heading toward the Mission Hall.
The interior of the Mission Hall was a vast atrium. The doors and windows were made of powerful crystal glass, beautiful and radiant, and treated with an anti-dust spray, leaving them utterly spotless.
Entering the hall, the interior was brightly lit, the decorations dazzlingly opulent. In the center of the hall, there was a scroll-style LCD screen where numerous advertisements—lines of missions—switched automatically.
Ye Chen scanned the area and noticed many scattered individuals in the wide hall watching tasks on the various LCD screens nearby, or using the automated mission search machines for queries.
Ye Chen's sudden appearance immediately drew the attention of many people. Some had only cast a cursory glance before, but now their expressions froze.
The slight murmur that had filled the hall instantly died down, becoming so quiet that one could hear a pin drop.
Ye Chen frowned slightly, feeling the burning gazes from all directions. A light flickered in his eyes as he walked directly toward the mission submission counter. Behind the reinforced metallic glass sat a young maiden with a mechanically perfect smile—though her eyes held no hint of joy, looking almost numbly at the content on the energy crystal computer screen.
When she saw Ye Chen approaching, she slowly turned her head and smiled. "Are you here to submit a mission?"
