Blacky glanced at him, then spoke: "From the memories of these two beings, there seems to be many people rushing toward the Central Castle. Most are mid-tier deities, and among them is a red-haired girl with terrifying power who wields a crimson silk ribbon capable of overwhelming any deity. Realizing their inferior strength, these two didn't dare compete for the Central Castle."
"Red-haired girl?" Ye Chen blinked in shock, his brows furrowing slightly. "Could this be that woman who fought against the Dark Temple's Grandmaster guarding the Abyssal Sea?"
Blacky nodded: "Exactly that girl."
Kaba turned to face Ye Chen and asked: "What should we do now?"
Ye Chen pondered for a moment before replying: "With that red-haired girl in the Central Castle, others will certainly fail. She's not a dark beast but a human being - they must despise dark creatures. The castle is probably in utter chaos right now."
"Aren't we going after the inheritance token of God Demon Palace? With it, one could inherit the entire palace through its legacy!" Blacky couldn't help exclaiming.
"Greed leads to failure," Ye Chen said coldly. "Let's first plunder treasures from other places - whatever can be taken is worth taking."
"Fine then," Blacky sighed in resignation.
Meanwhile, chaos indeed reigned within the Central Castle of God Demon Palace.
Atop this castle stood a magnificent palace with towering structures surrounding it. The architecture bore distinct European elements at its corners while others resembled fortified insect nests - compact yet aesthetically pleasing. Reaching nine thousand feet into the sky, the castle's walls were intricately carved with strange patterns that seemed ordinary but radiated mysterious power akin to primordial cosmic forces.
Its gate loomed like a mountain range, now slightly ajar by an old-measure gap (approximately 30 meters). Before this gate stood a girl with fiery red hair cascading down her back. Her petite figure stood poised at the entrance, snow-white skin glowing as crimson eyes reflected the entire world in clear brilliance.
A blood-red silk ribbon coiled around her waist accentuated her delicate frame, making her beauty utterly indescribable. Outside the gate lay dozens of dismembered corpses spilling blood across the ground like a scene from hell.
Yet this red-haired girl remained composed as she gazed at the carnage through eyes that suddenly darkened toward the corridor ahead. Faint footsteps echoed down the pitch-black passage before seven or eight shadowy figures burst forth, their faces paling upon seeing the massacre.
"Trouble!"
"A trap!"
"What's happening?"
"Who is this girl?"
All eyes locked onto her as a burly leader bellowed: "Girlie, who are you!"
"I'm your grandma," she replied coldly. With a flick of her wrist, the silk ribbon lashed out in a violent gust that filled with terrifying energy.
"Die! Dark filth!" A finger pointed and seven lightning-fast sword beams erupted from the ribbon, striking true to pierce their cores before they could detonate themselves.
"Hmph," she smirked as retrieving the weapon. "Thinking I'm an easy target just because you're deities? In my presence, you're nothing but trash!"
Further down the passage more dark beasts emerged only to be swiftly slaughtered by her ruthless efficiency that belied her cute appearance.
Feeling bored after a while, she yawned and turned toward the castle's interior murmuring: "I wonder what inheritance token this God Demon Palace has. If I get it back home, Father will definitely be surprised."
Inside the palace, opulent luxury bathed in bright light. Weapon decorations like hooks, short swords, chains adorned the walls - each etched with secret runes that revealed themselves as genuine divine artifacts to discerning eyes.
Yet these thousands of treasures served merely as ornamental pieces within this central sanctum. At its heart stood a stone platform holding an orb-like blue glow suspended in air containing a black token.
The girl excitedly scanned these decorations before approaching the platform thoughtfully: "If I bring back all these divine artifacts to the treasury, that'll be first-class merit! Father will surely reward me richly... And this entire God Demon Palace itself is probably a dao-weapon - likely a full-spectrum one with domain capabilities and spaceship features for seamless offense/defense and close-range or long-distance combat."
Her childish smile faded as she carefully stepped toward the glow, each movement precise despite her seemingly innocent facade. With the silk ribbon wrapping protectively around her body, she extended a red thread that easily reached into the energy field to snag the black token.
As it landed in her palm, the cold artifact suddenly levitated emitting red light onto her eyes:
"Iris lock initiated!
DNA verification starting!"
Midway through analysis, the process halted. A robotic voice rang out: "Human race has no right to inherit!"
The token dropped back into her hand as the girl turned crimson-faced with fury, flinging it away in a fit of rage: "%^&*#... What's wrong with being human? You think you're above me?"
Meanwhile...
Ye Chen led Kaba through corridors where they encountered several escapees from other trial zones all easily dispatched by the hulking beastman. These survivors were mostly deities or peak quasi-deities - formidable foes indeed.
Though lacking true divine power and domain control, Kaba's near-billion-ton strength surpassed Ye Chen's Ant-Man form. With raw force alone, he shattered their defenses completely.
Four waves of dark beasts (17 total) were eliminated yielding 12 beast cores while the remaining five self-destructed leaving no remains.
In addition, they raided several buildings uncovering a storage room with four divine artifacts: two swords, one war blade and set of armor - an unimaginable treasure when such items were rarely found outside.
Intentionally avoiding the central area where that red-haired girl might be, Ye Chen navigated streets lit but desolate.
Passing by a research institute with sealed doors, he hesitated before any direct assault given the likelihood of advanced tech weapons inside.
As he turned to leave, suddenly a spatial rift appeared at his arm's side releasing an obsidian box.
"Hmm?" Ye Chen stared in surprise as the box began rotating emitting intense light and complex gear-like runes - exactly like that artifact he'd acquired from a planet during their journey through Central Dark World. Previously unopenable due to its tough material and required incantations, it now spontaneously disintegrated with an explosion revealing several items within...
