Ye Chen found a clean spot and sank onto the ground, slowly recovering his strength. In this world, merely standing was exhausting; the immense gravity was utterly incomparable to Earth’s. If this gravity were transferred to Earth, the entire planet would likely collapse and shatter in the blink of an eye.
The old man in the green talisman floated out of the metal wall, hovering before Ye Chen, chuckling, "All done. Any further instructions?"
Ye Chen glanced at him, a sudden thought crossing his mind. "In your soul-form, those corpses outside can only attack physically; they can't harm you. You can scout the vicinity, check the map."
The old man in the green talisman pouted. "What's in it for me?"
Ye Chen looked around the shop, his tone cold. "This place is littered with S-grade metal. Once we acquire it and smelt it into the Rune Starship, the ship's durability will increase significantly. You figure out the benefit for yourself."
The old man's eyes lit up, and he snapped his fingers. "Done! I'll go now!" With that, his figure darted, penetrating the wall and floating away along the metal structure, disappearing without a trace.
Ye Chen looked at Kaba. "Find all the usable metal here. I’ll strengthen your body; at your current level, you're still too slow when running."
Two beams of light ignited in Kaba’s eyes. He quickly spun around, searching everywhere for uncontaminated metal and other rare materials.
Ye Chen sat cross-legged on the ground, the entire map of Prye City appearing in his mind.
"Our current location is the outer ring suburbs of Prye City. The road at the entrance is called Aiman South Road. It's a long way to the city center—about a four-hour drive. But city traffic is completely jammed, making driving impossible. It would be better if we had a helicopter."
"I can smelt that with the Nine Cauldrons, but the amount of metal required is terrifying."
"According to the data, there is an Energy Tower in the city center. Obtaining the Heart of Energy inside would allow us to leave this world. I wonder if this city’s Heart of Energy still exists, or if someone else reached it first. When we entered, other dark creatures came in with us, and more have entered since. We must hurry, or if the Heart of Energy is taken, we’ll have to find another city. Crossing the distance between cities like that would cost us dearly, even if we survived."
While Ye Chen was pondering, Kaba returned from a large hall nearby, having found a huge pile of metal: metal chairs, metal ornaments, and various small miscellaneous items.
Ye Chen glanced at them. He noticed that although these metal ornaments were S-grade—materials specifically used for forging divine artifacts—they bore no engraved Laws; they only possessed high strength and couldn't truly be considered artifacts.
He didn't look further. He directly stored Kaba’s body into the Nine Cauldrons, then tossed all the collected metal inside. The Nine Cauldrons shimmered faintly, and from the goblet-shaped mouth, a brand-new body was slowly extruded: skin the color of ancient bronze, a face carved like a blade, thick brows, large eyes, and a cold demeanor.
Most striking was the assault rifle held in this new body's hands. Its design resembled an XM8 lightweight assault rifle, 1228mm long overall, equipped with an integrated suppressor, an automatic aiming navigation system, and a stable muzzle, delivering immense power.
Kaba stared at the pristine new body in astonishment, feeling somewhat dazed. He sensed a chilling aura radiating from the assault rifle—this was an assault rifle forged entirely from S-grade metal; it could shatter even the body of a deity!
He quickly moved his essence in, possessing the body. The eyes of the puppet body immediately snapped open, sweeping over the surroundings with cold, sharp glints. With a slight movement of his hand, he instantly checked the rifle's ammunition, finding dual magazines that were completely full.
These bullets were forged from melted down small ornaments like earrings and necklaces, solid and durable. Paired with the rifle's impact force, they could punch holes even in these metal walls.
"There are only 400 rounds total. Calculated at two bullets per corpse, that's only enough to kill 200 corpses. You manage it," Ye Chen said. He then turned and walked to the window, looking out. From here, he could overlook the entire street scene and the distant landscape, seeing destroyed vehicles and corpses littering the road like black ants.
Ye Chen frowned slightly, feeling a touch of heaviness in his heart.
Just then, the nearly transparent old man in the green talisman swooshed in rapidly from a distance, a trace of panic on his face. His figure flashed, and he phased through the wall, babbling like a machine gun: "Bad news! There’s a team of deities to the northwest, seven of them, moving this way. They all have firearms and have slaughtered countless corpses along the way; they are virtually armed to the teeth. If we run into them, we’re finished! What do we do now?"
Ye Chen’s brow knitted. "Go check if this shop has a built-in anti-detection system. Also, dismantle the walls of the entire shop and check the storage rooms to see if there are any reserved ornaments."
The old man immediately replied, "There is an anti-detection system, but since the opponents are all powerful deities, if they activate their Domain Worlds together and combine it with radar scanning, this shop’s system probably won't fool them."
Ye Chen said darkly, "I know that. Go order the shop's repair system to dismantle the useful metal from the walls."
Cold sweat beaded on the old man's forehead. "Understood." His figure moved, merging directly into the shop's wall. Before long, the entire shop's walls began to vibrate slightly, crisscrossed with electrical filaments that separated automatically. Like a giant machine, metallic wall segments resembling aluminum alloy were decomposed and, carried by internal mechanical arms, delivered before Ye Chen.
Ye Chen activated the Nine Cauldrons and instructed Kaba to summon the other two puppets.
These two puppets were at the mid-Pseudo-God level. As soon as they emerged from Kaba’s puppet space, Ye Chen snatched them up and tossed them into the Nine Cauldrons, along with the metal dismantled from the walls.
"Smelt."
S-grade metal spanning tens of square meters was melted within the Nine Cauldrons. Soon after, the Cauldrons ejected two new puppets, a male and a female. The female had fair skin, smooth and tender like fine jade, possessing an Eastern classical beauty that was breathtaking and peerless.
The male was dark-skinned and powerfully built, his sharp eyes emitting surging killing intent, like the gaze of an enraged lion.
Ye Chen quickly examined their bodies and found they were both S-grade frames. In fact, the amount of metal just melted was more than enough to construct two S-grade puppets; the materials were ample.
"Long-range weapons." Ye Chen watched as the wall dismantling continued. He spotted a large section of metal being stripped from the eastern wall and quickly activated the Nine Cauldrons, absorbing that section of metal.
Buzz~
The Nine Cauldrons trembled slightly, then spat out three firearms. One was a heavy machine gun, 1600mm long, with a caliber of about 2cm, a stable base, low recoil, extremely high rate of fire, and strong burst capability, also equipped with a suppressor and infrared targeting system.
The second firearm was a submachine gun, stylishly shaped, with a long effective range and immense power. The last was a delicate and compact handgun, resembling a Type 48 pistol, its metallic exterior shimmering with flowing light, featuring an integrated suppressor, dual magazines, a streamlined curve, and a caliber of about 1.2cm.
The submachine gun was given to the female puppet, while the handgun became Ye Chen's self-defense weapon.
Ye Chen looked at the metal walls, now one layer thinner, and ordered the old man in the green talisman, "Tear off the roof of the third level, and weaken the third-level walls by 90%!"
The old man chuckled and immediately carried out the instructions.
At this moment, Kaba spotted the shattered elevator below. His eyes lit up, and he swiftly rappelled down the ropes to collect the broken elevator metal and glass. With the help of the two other puppets pulling from above, he climbed back up using the ropes, carrying the elevator fragments piece by piece.
Ye Chen focused his gaze on the elevator shards. He saw piles of bent and ruined metallic glass on the floor, faintly reflecting light. After a moment of thought, he took out the Nine Cauldrons and deposited all these metal and glass fragments inside for melting.
"Shields!"
Ye Chen selected a sample design. Soon, the Nine Cauldrons produced three shields and a set of armor.
These shields were as light as swan feathers, possessing no perceptible weight, yet their defensive capability rivaled "S2" metallic matter—even the firearms held by the newcomers would struggle to penetrate them.
As for the nearly transparent suit, Ye Chen had it custom-made for himself. It was light and flexible when worn; the joints were not restricted, allowing free body movement without any weight burden.
The greatest advantage of this metallic glass was its lightness.
Just then, the anxious voice of the old man in the green talisman suddenly rang out: "Bad news! Those people are here! Their bio-radar has detected us!"
Ye Chen frowned, took a few quick steps, and ducked low to rush to the window. He leaned out a small section of his head, looking toward the street outside, and immediately saw down the road. Amidst the sounds of cannon fire and gunshots, many ultra-advanced vehicles were exploding, blasting the corpses inside the cars and those surrounding them into pieces.
The entire street seemed to awaken from its deathly stillness, filled with smoke and the roar of gunfire. Through the haze, several figures approached in the distance, each fully armed, with firearms tucked into their belts and on their legs, holding submachine guns or heavy machine guns, or even multi-barrel cannon mounts. As they passed, every corpse that had managed to crawl up from the ground exploded, blasted into non-existence.
"No good, there's a Mid-Rank Deity among them!" Kaba cried out in distress.
